She's a great teacher! Explains everything really well and prepares you for the tests. Your tests and the final exam are your final grade. If you do the homework then you'll do good.

She is a good teacher. All the notes are provided for you in a packet which makes my life 10x easier! Stats gets kinda tricky just know the material and you'll do fine on the tests.

Excellent. Very clear, plenty of examples. Tests aren't easy, but aren't hard. I enjoyed her very much. Doesn't put up with rude students coming in late, good for her. She is amazing.

GREAT teacher! Explains everything very clearly and will answer any/as many questions as needed. Goes over homework questions as well. Tests are very straight forward and usually easier than homework problems. It's a hard class though, so be prepared to study.

Hard class, but teacher helps alot. Will always answer questions and never makes you feel stupid. If you do the homework the test will be easy because the test questions are never harder then the homework problems

Easy, wants you to ask questions. Lets you use a formula sheet on all tests. I never had below a B grade on any test but was given a C as my final grade!?! I don't know why, nor was given a reason.

I took stats before and got a D+, took it again with her and got a B+. I didn't do homework, just followed her note packet ( Buy It! ) and learned from that. Never used my book after the first week ( Definitions and Vocab ). Gives partial credit for showing work and has the point system weighted so the final is only 1/5 of your grade not 1/3. A+

I had her for math 1000 and she was awesome. she is very helpful and the best math teacher I ever had. i have her for math 1340 right now and her note packet makes class so easy to follow. the tests are fairly easy she gives lots of partial credit even if the final answer is wrong as long as you show your work.

She is the nicest lady. SOO helpful and cares about you. She has organized notes for you, makes conceps simple and understands us. Id recommend her for sure. you'll do great.

Mrs. Swiderski is one of the nicest professors, she is always willing to help. However I found it extremely difficult to memorize everything, as no calculators or formula sheets were allowed on the exams. She is a very tough grader also. I found myself spending more time memorizing formulas than learning the different fundamentals of calculus.

If you can get her as one of your professors thank your lucky stars right now!!! She is super nice and is always willing to stay and answer questions. Her notes are always organized but she does tend to skip a step here and there but don't be afraid to ask her to explain it one more time.

I took her online class and i thought it was the best one i have ever took...she is always there to help and her tests have fairly reasonable questions...almost impossible to fail if u attend her class...she will always help you as long as you ask for it.

if u need a rely on a calculator than i wouldnt advise taking her. But if u can justify your answers and memorize formulas than she is the perfect teacher.

Best math teacher ever! Goes through her notes very clearly. Also, before class she will answer any questions you have about the HW but she doesnt grade it. The Hw will help you on your test. Her test are moderately easy if you study. The only test that was hard is the final which the math department writes. Good luck and pick her.

To be successful in this course, you have to do the optional homework, go class and ask questions when you don't understand something. This is the best teacher for STATS I feel at MCC. She makes STATS clear, tolerable and do-able. I ended up with a 4.0 but worked for it; especially for the cumulative final exam. Class average was always a C.

She is one of the BEST math teachers I've had! She explains everything very well and gives examples that are on the tests. She is very helpful if you need it and is there for all of her students. HW not graded, but well worth completing to get a better understanding of the test questions! Should get an A if u complete the hw and practice tests.

At times class seemed like preschool with other students asking questions we all should've learned long ago. Exams were not hard until you got to the final. Be careful of stupid mistakes on exams! Excellent professor.

GOD BLESS SWIDERSKI, greatest teacher, u have to study for the tests, look over all the problems in the hw till u kno them 100%. You only do two sections of story problems but make sure you know how to do every story problem. The one i didnt study was on the test :/ i got lazy sorry. dnt b nervous to take trig, i was, she made it easy as possible A

You want to take the computer lab/lecture class with her. She is a great teacher and the program used lets you complete your lessons at home. The short lecture in the classroom clears up any confusion. This is the prof to get for math.

If you have to take Statistics, this is the professor to take. She does a great job of making sure students understand the material. Makes a difficult subject very manageable. Notes make everything crystal clear. Respect her and she'll respect you. She doesn't like tardiness.

Awesome! She is always on time, organized and explains things clearly. He notes are extremely helpful and tests are fair. There is no extra credit and she grades only on tests, but drops your lowest grade. She will give you dirty looks for being late or disrespectful. Act like an adult and you'll enjoy the semester.

Great teacher. I am currently taking a computer based math 1000 class and i love it. work is done on the computer and you learn from a math program. You get a lot of practice and a nice amount of homework. If you have any questions she answers them and helps you with anything you need. Great teacher

No calculators. Makes her own final (no multiple choice departmental final.) Technophobic, heaven forbid you should text in class. Grading policy is unfair in regards to legitimately missed tests. Really hates late people. If you are looking to optimize your grade v. work/ease. This is not the professor for you.

Professor Swiderski is one of the best professors I have ever encountered. She is very willing to help you and wants every student to be successful. If you put in effort to do well then she's willing to help you do better. The tests aren't hard if you do the practice tests and hw. She makes it easy to understand. I highly recommend her.

She is a great professor. You get there on time, she explains it very well, you do the homework you should get an A. If you don't understand it she is very willing to spend the extra time helping you. We need more teachers who are like this, ones who come in to teach and not just to hear their own voices

In the 6 week course over the summer and would like to say if you have been using a calculator to get by dont take her.If you can not focus on just this course for 6 weeks dont take her.Homework is not required but,you better do it.For regular semester this class is probably ok but,for 6 weeks dont take if trig and alg need to be relearned.

By far the best math professor in MCC. Deb is passionate about her work and all lectures are relevant with the tests. She is always willing to help and her lectures are no more than 90 minutes. I recommend her if you want to learn and pass with ease.

I took the "computer based learning" course with her and she is awesome. Different from an online class. I personally liked it very much! you can go at your own pace, and she is there to help with any questions you may have. Study for tests, and you'll do just fine. Overall very helpful. Wants to see you do good!

Take a moment to evaluate yourself because if you are a person who cannot stand redundancy or pointless work then she is NOT the teacher for you. She assigns mathlabs on top of homework from the book - each mathlab takes about 20-30 mins and homework will take just as long if not longer. IF YOU CAN'T DEDICATE THE 2 HRS OF HW THEN DON'T TAKE HER

Deb knows her stuff. If you don't have a decent understanding of previous math classes, don't take her. That being said, if you do, she's an excellent professor. I enjoyed having her for both MATH1770 and MATH2760. Do the work, don't be an idiot in class, and you'll do fine.

If your understanding of algerbra comes naturally than take this class for it's easy and you only need to attend class for the tests and exam, and homework is not manditory. Otherwise, if you have difficulty learning algerbra there is minimul explination on how to solve the prob. Great teacher and is always willing to help.

I took her class a couple semesters ago. At the times thought her class was pretty difficult because she makes you do the work and learn all the formulas, not jut memorize them. I am very glad I took her now going further into mathematics. It's making the rest of my classes easier.

I am taking her computer-based class. Book is included with the class ($74 for book). Homework is not mandatory, but you best do it to understand her tests. she bases her tests off the homework. She's willing to help if you ask for it. I'm not the greatest at algebra and I wish I didn't take a computer-based class because i'd like more 1-on-1 help.

Swiderski's teaching style for Math 1000 would not be for everybody. As a driven person, I found the class very easy to do. Homework is optional, but I strongly recommend it for comprehension related to the exams.

She is the KINDEST, SWEETEST, and GREATEST ALGEBRA TEACHER I have ever had!! She's always there for you, her tests are really easy because they're based off the homework, it's computer-based, so it's self-paced. She gives a lecture so it's easier to understand,makes algebra much easier, The quizzes online can be taken as much as you need! TAKE HER!

i took her for trig and she was so awesome. she's much older than all of my past math instructors but she totally blows all of them out the water. i left the class with an a and i wish she taught calc and every upcoming math class i need along with all the classes i need to get my degree lol. she is very clear and thorough. i highly recommend her.

I took this during covid and this class was supper easy. You do all the hw and test on knewton and its all personalized for u. She only requires 4 parts of a chapter a week. Even though the class was online if you need help with anything you can FaceTime or do a zoom meeting with her. Overall a great and definitely recommend her.
