Great Prof! One class I actually looked forward to, and was sad when class was over. She was always willing to help. Actually encouraged people to speak to her for help if needed. Able to get a class of 300 to participate in discussions/debates.

very helpful, may seem scary at first in lecture, but go see her during office hours and you'll be impressed.. very helpful with direction for essays, very blunt, engages students in interesting debates, very entertaining with her "sex" talk! :)

Woodman is God, i love her. Best professor i've ever had. Her lectures are good and entertaining and ALL on WebCT. I took her 3 hour nite class, it was good and fun, gave us breaks, let us out early, and we had movies to watch alot. Excellent.

The course material is kinda boring but I really like Woodman. She made it easy to understand and is a really fair marker. As long as you go to class, you'll do well.

I'm a science major and this was my elective. I loved the course and thought the prof was great. I got a lot out of lectures and enjoyed the lecture style. Lectures were well organized and interactive and made relevant to every day life.

The content is kind of dry, but Woodman makes it very easy to understand, and makes it fun by incorperating the class into examples. She walks around when she talks, which is very helpful. Assignments were fun and easy, the Mid Term was fair.

This prof has a laid back style, however her course outlines sometimes contradict themselves which could allow someone to lose marks. Also, the assignments took forever to give back, which made them not useful as feedback (usually the point of doing two). Other than that okay.

best one on one advice i've had on an essay ever, made me feel good about what i could accomplish in the future, great constructive criticism, classes are almost too clear sometimes they become boring because of it, but thats a good thing

Overall an easy class. The prof was very funny and kept things interesting. definitly worth taking this course with her, she knows what she is talking about and she definitly makes you think...which is what your parents pay your tutition for, right? She is, so far my favorite prof :)

A wonderful job relating to many modern day issues of a woman and the world around her. The professor relates the course to many issues relating to politics, sociology, anthropology and law. A difinate must for anyone and any program.

I've never had a prof as willing to help each individual student as she is. Really makes you believe she cares and is willig to take the time to help. All in all, a good prof!

Woodman, you're the best professor I've ever had. Forget the bad ratings, you're awesome. Only look at the positive ones because the bad ones were written by people who clearly didn't go to your classes. Keep up the good work :) We all loved you.

Prof. Woodman was excellent. She really cared when it came to helping students out, and her lectures were highly entertaining and informative. She made this class enjoyable, and I hope she gets to teach it again.

Great professor, she encouraged the students to consult with her one-on-one and these meetings really helped me. Our major project was interesting and I enjoyed completing it, while learning a lot too! If you have a chance to take a class with her, do it, it will be the highlight of your university experience.

This lady encouraged me every class. She made me want to change my major to Anthropology. Best decision I've made. She becomes passionate about her work and topics, and reaches out to the students, even if they are 400+ students.

Woodman's great- a but all over the place, but come to all of her lectures and read and it will all come together for you. I got 60 on the first midterm bc i didn't go to class a lot, but them i came to class and next midterm i got 80. so you NEED to go to her classes. she's funny and talks about controversial stuff. take a class with her

All of you are so blind to her helpful sarcasm ....she is challenging you to examine what she is saying!!! She's not poking fun or asking you to accept it....she's asking you to analyze and put it into prospective....you all need to take sociology 101 over again if you didn't get this teaching technique of hers...Woodman Rocks!!!

Read this first before taking the negative reviews and running with them. This class will be hard for you if you are not ready, willing, or able to deconstruct society and its implications on the western gender binary. Great Prof, engaging, pushes class to dig deeper, and always gives people chance to engage. Material is great overall Fantastic

I've never met a person like Deb, she is so caring and understanding and passionate about teaching. She cares about each and every student and encourages them to have a voice in her classroom even if she doesn't agree with you. Easily the most open and kind person I've met and I have learned so much from both her and the classes I've had with her.
