Explains very clearly and thoroughly. Very nice teacher. Do the homework...it helps with the quizzes. =)

Possibly the best math teacher for this class. I highly recommend you take her, it is a rewarding experience.

She's one of the best Math teachers! Her lecture notes are VERY thurough, and she's really nice.

She makes sure the students understand the math they are being taught. You have to certify on all of your homework, which means you have to do your homework on the computer. It helps you in the end because it makes sure you really understand it. And you better if you are moving on to another math

Looks mean at first but she's not. Do all your homework and certify and you will do good on the tests and quizes. Math isn't fun, but she teaches it well (not fun). Typical math class...She doesn't take role either. I could honestly say I'll remember a lot of the stuff I learned in that class....

The class is easy if you just do your work and certify the programs. If you ever have a question she is always available after class or in the lab. She is a good teacher and I wish I had her again for future math classes.

Easy cuz i already knew Alb2 stuff; lectures are easy but it was boring cuz i knew how to do it. But was very clear how she explain it. The labs are well not my style i would of like quizs to be done on paper so i can earse stuff. But it wasn't bad

Loved her! Very strict, but helpful once you learn to respect her, her rules and the campus/math department policies. Willing to spend as much one on one time in the lab as you need, and very clear on her grading and expectations of the students.

clear and concise.doesn't miss a step. math 10 is easy so the class is boring. no teacher can make that subject fun. She teaches all that is required to get 100% in the class. only people slow in math havea hard time. class is fasted pased as well but she willusually review the next day.

Prof. Berry is one of the best teachers I've ever had. I have hated math my whole life and have always struggled with algebra. but Berry is such a good teacher. she makes every thing easy to understand. The HW is a bit time consuming, but worth doing bc of the weekly quizzez

Mrs. Berry can be rude, but she gets a little nicer as the semester goes on. Do not cross over in front of her when talking or talk or have cellphone on. Wait to go to restroom until break. Do not miss a class. Follow her instructions to the T. She explains very well. Do certif immediately and make sure you know each chapter in detail!! Practice!!

By far one of the BEST MATH PROFESSORS! i freakin loved her...strict on some errors but explains everything thoroughly!!! TAKE HER...I WUD TAKE HER IF SHE TAUGHT math 30!! LOVES HER!!!

Her lectures are clear, uses the even problems in the book as examples. She doesn't collect the homework from the book, but all quiz and test questions are taken directly from the assignments, but the final is not. Still, she tests on the basic concepts, not the tricky problems. But, if you need to take CALC2, you need to STUDY these concepts!

Mrs. Berry was born to teach math! She explains everything and gives examples for every kind of problem, so you will have no ?'s when @ home. She can go fast or slow based on how the class prefers it. W/ her teaching style everyone learns the material fast. No textbook, its all on CD-ROM. That kind of sucks cuz u can't get more than 2 wrong.

She's thorough in her lectures, but I found her somewhat boring and monotonous. She assigns HW and weekly quizzes online (coursecompass), along with the textbook HW. She offers extra credit if you use blackboard discussion. There were 3 midterms and a cumulative final. Subject matter isn't too difficult to grasp, but it can get really tedious.

Very sweet lady! Some stuff is pretty hard but it's not her fault...it's whoever invented Statistics fault! She tries her hardest to get your grade up there! Take her great teacher!

Recommended teacher. Her lectures are a bit tedious but she is thorough and will answer any questions you have. Tests are not too difficult if you have completed your homework.

She is a great teacher. She teaches everything step by step. It was easy to learn. Oh, there's a math program so you don't have to purchase a book. The program is only 8 dollars :) Take this teacher, she's really nice and a good teacher. oh don't eat in class, I got in trouble a couple of times.. it wasn't pretty. other than that shes great!

Great teacher, She is very helpful and much better than all the other Math professors I've had. She is kind hearted and goes over everything till it's understood. She provides extra credit also which is helpful

took this teacher for math 030..she was not hard. everything was laid out. hw was on a CD test was based on the CD so if u understood the homework really well then test should be easy. but being lazy will kill u . great teacher

Algebra in general has a lot of work at goldenwest college. But Berry does an amazing job of lecturing and teaching in this subject. If you struggle in math she is always there to explain it and help... Note: There is a lot of homework and tests and quizzes.

She is very helpful. Explains step by step the problems. everything is based on a CD. you know what your going to be tested on and quizzed on. alot of hw but easy and extra credit. attendance not mandatory but recommendable

Very helpful. I enjoyed her and do not usually enjoy math. She made it easy to understand and is more than willing to help if you are striving to learn.

Mrs. Berry is awesome. She works at the pace of her students and is always more than willing to help you as long as you show effort. I do not typically enjoy math, but she made it very enjoyable. I wish I could take her for Trig! Highly recommended if you're looking for a math class you're willing to go to.

Though my grade wasn't the best, Professor Berry is a great teacher who helps out her students as much as she can. If anyone had questions, she had no problems doing it again (even if most of the class understood it). Great teacher if you respect her.

This was my second time taking this course with her, got a "D" the first time. Class moves very fast, don't skip class, you WILL fall behind. She makes basic math errors, so you need to stay on top of things during lecture, and speak up if you have questions. She does care about you and will stay after class if you need help. Do all your homework!!

Mrs Berry is THE BEST math teacher Ive ever had the pleasure of having in my whole school career. Math has ALWAYS been my achiles heel and it was the ONLY subject that never came easy to me she makes it fun interesting(as interesting as math can get) and easy to learn she inspires you to want to go to class and do good. shes extremely easy too

This class is really easy, you just have to stay on top of things and you will do fine. Guaranteed.

Ms. Berry is amazing! DO NOT miss lecture! She works through all the problems you need to see to feel comfortable with the material. The key to passing this class is doing all the homework and practicing! She lets you make up 2 quizzes for better grades, if you wish.

If you stay on top of the work then you will be fine. Also, don't miss any classes and you should be fine. Easy A.

I think Prof. Berry is one of the best math teachers in GWC. A lot of people think she is boring, but class isn't about having fun. She can be quite funny. She explains each section very thourughly and gives examples from the hw. There is a quiz every week and a test every 3-4 weeks. You will pass as long as you do hw. Lecture isn't mandatory.

I really liked Prof. Berry. She explains everything fairly well and gives thorough examples that way nothing is a big surprise when the test comes. She is willing to help you whenever possible.

She was an extremely good and helpful teacher. She explains things a little slow, but she makes sure you know everything. She also gives you study guides that are literally the test with different questions. Take this course for an enjoyable math class.

So glad i took Professor Berry for stats, she was extremely helpful and clear on what she expected out of us. Answers emails very quickly and is also willing to take the time and explain problems when students get confused. Does teach a little fast, but will slow down. Professor Berry is an AMAZING professor. Statistics material was difficult because it is the type of math that builds onto what you learned in previous chapters. Be sure to take detail notes because it will help you on the HW. If you have questions, Professor Berry usually stays after class so that you can ask her in case you missed something.

very good prof. she is very helpful and really wants you to pass. She offers mandatory EC and it truly helps for points, and test review. She makes it clear on what is expected, too bad she is a part time teacher. she is the type of math teacher anyone would like to have. not too bad with hw, quizes are decent and tests are ok.

Greatest math prof I've ever had. She is very clear and specific and teaches you the basics if you never understand them. HW follow her exact lectures. If you show up to her class and do the homework that is pretty much a guarantee B. An A would be a little more studying and practicing.

Very good professor. Will help you if you show work ethic. Explains all material in depth. Offers a pretty decent amount of extra credit. There is no way that you shouldn't get at least a B if you listen to her lectures and study.

She's ok, I guess... She goes slowly, so the class can get pretty boring. But it is an easy A if you go to class and do hw, and she gives extra credit. 4 exams, a couple quizzes, hw due weekly, and a final. P.S. She's one of those professors who doesn't take unstapled papers lol

Dedicated educator, goes extra mile to help, responds email promptly, allows notes on formula and other references for tests. Do homework 100% each time before quizzes & tests. Study reviews she provides. Best use of knowledge for real life. She is there for you to educate you. Enjoy her class. She is respected.

Lets you have a 4 x 6 notecard on exams to put formulas and inputs, and a full white paper front and back for final! She teaches very well, goes beyond when teaching and provides excellent explanation to problems. You can tell that she really wants the student to understand the material and pass, she is a great teacher.

Love this teacher, she is dedicated to helping her students and really gets you interested in the course material. Very accessible for support or guidance. I recommend Debra for math 10.

Initially, i thought this class moved very slow. I ended up like the pacing because she goes into detail on how to work the problems and she does not rush through them. she doesn't really take roll, but if you want to pass the class, you should attend every day. i rarely looked at the text because her notes were so good. She is very nice as well.

She is honestly the best math I have ever had in my whole career with math. She goes step by step on discussing how to solve the problem. I honestly recommend her! seriously! I'm so bummed she is not teaching MATH 30 at GoldenWest.

One of the best Math Professors at GWC. Helpful, likes teaching, walked the class through the concepts. Show up for every class, do all the homework, ask questions if you have them, and work all the test reviews. She made learning Algebra a very positive experience. If you can, take her class! Wish she taught Math 30, as well as Math 10-SheRocks

If you study properly you will get an A. Mrs Berry is really helpful and nice. The entire course is on Pearson's My Math Lab (computer program). All homework is online. Before each test, she gives a review, which if you study well, you should get an excellent grade(that makes it easier). She answers all questions. I wish she teaches math 030 in gwc

Do all your homework, ask questions in class and via email (she usually responds within an hour) and practice the problems as soon as the homework is given. I hated math and it is my weakest subject, but she encouraged all students throughout the semester to not give up. She is respectable and highly recommended.

Professor Berry tends to be very specific in the free response section of her exams. I personally found her study guides to be too heavy for the exams given. 60 problems usually given on her study guides and many find it to be helpful, I found it to be overwhelming. She moves fast and makes small mistakes during notes/new lecture material.

She's a sweet lady. Down-to-earth humor. I like her personality. Lots of homework but its easy (just go to class and use the printed notes she provides to help you or skip class and let MyMath Lab (cost $103) help u instead. My mathlab is required. So with a basic understanding of algebra and how numbers usually work, it is an easy A.

Long lectures and a lot of homework, but the repetition of the homework questions helps you retain the information. Try not to miss a day, you will probably miss at least one chapter. She does make minor errors during lecture but she will go back and find her error and redo the question. Her study guides absolutely help you get a good grade.

So I originally thought this class was going to be super easy. I was wrong!!! It was much more challenging than I thought, but Prof Berry was really kind and helpful. If you're having a hard time, talk to her! She is very approachable and helpful! She gives a lot of chances for extra credit and study guides!

I was really worried about taking this course here at GWC because I failed it at Cypress. However, she's the sweetest math teacher ever! I had a bunch of questions and she was always happy to help. I wish she taught this course at Cypress so I wouldn't have to retake in the first place. Math is my worst subject but she made it easy to understand :)

Math has always been my weakest subject but she breaks it down step by step! I love her teaching style and she's willing to answer questions after class. She has 4 exams, including the final. Your lowest test score with be replaced with your final exam score if you do better. Do all the study guides and you'll be fine.

Has a policy where she drops the lowest test grade you have (boosts grade a lot). Keeps grades updated. A LOT of homework in my opinion but you have a week or so to do it at your own pace. $100 online "textbook" MyMathLab, amazing program you can ask for help on any problem. Allows 2nd chance all undone hw @ end of semester. Show up every class.

I was horrible with math until I took her math 100 class in Spring 2019! She is the sweetest math instructor ever and also very forgiving too! Although there is a lot of homework, she is willing to answer any questions you have about the homework because doing the homework is the key to doing well in her class! Drops the lowest test score overall.

Its not easy to get an A in her class, but she explains everything clearly. You will get an A if you take notes and focus enough.

The workload is a lot but it is manageable, if you put in the work then the class is easy. Her grading is very clear and she provides a lot of office hours for help. Personally I never understood math and always failed but her teaching helps me understand the material. She is also very sweet and was very understanding during this pandemic.

Mrs. Barry was very helpful. I haven't taken math in years and was really scared. She made time for me on Zoom with one -on-one sessions. She took time to allow for extra credit for additional Tudoring. It was hard for me, but with her help I got through it. Lots of work though.

Print out the notes to use it for tests and exams. Homework is a little too much but practice makes perfect. Her lectures are well-organized and easy to follow. Would take her again! Carefully follow her instruction and you'll be fine!
