Class is naturally hard. You have to pay attention and go to her office hours. She helps you out alot more than any profesor I ever had. Pop quizes are very predicatable.

Accting is not a walk through the park but she organizes it in a way to make it understandable. She announces pop quizzes the class before and just make sure you go to class. The reading is rather dull and lengthy though.

This class is generally used to wean out the people who aren't supposed to be in the business major. She does a pretty good job at explaining it, but could be a little more clear. Reading before the class is key. She is a really great person.

3 for easiness just because acct is a hard subject in general, but she is such a great prof, took 8 quizzes and she let us drop 3! tests were 35 MC (2 each) + 30 pt problem, not bad at all, explains exactly what problem will be, some MC from book so reading would help, hw not collected, very helpful

Took this class over Winter Session and it was cake. The easiest A I've ever gotten since high school. Whoever thinks ACCT-207 is hard needs to take an Engineering class. Exams were multiple choice, if you go to class and take notes you should do fine.

I liked this professor but hated this class. She holds review sessions before all the tests, including the final exam. Really cares about how well her students do. There are three tests and a final. The second two tests and the final will make your head hurt.

She is a wonderful teacher! She gives quizzes almost every week. She even changed a review session for me and a few other students because of a conflicting time. Tests are challenging. Make sure you go to class. Notes are very helpful for tests. Definitely take her!

Good teacher class is hard but she goes over what you need to know for the exams. Quizes help learn the material. For studying for the exams i recommend doing the homeworks she gives you. The practice test is also really helpful for the exams. Review the notes she gives you, the practice test, and the quizes and you should do fine in the class.

best professor at UD for the 207 and 208 requirements. notes are CRUCIAL - go to class or get the missed notes from someone. if you know how to do the practice tests, homework she assigns and collects every so often, and the quizzes, youre guaranteed a high B or even an A on all the tests, including the final.

GREAT teacher. Her notes help SO much. Examples in class help a lot. Although annoying, the quizzes help tremendously because it gets you to study the info before test time. She is so helpful. She even gives you her phone number so you can call her at home. Definately take 207 or 208 with her. She is definately the best professor to take it with.

first time i took 207 w/kingery and failed, she just hands out notes and doesnt make you take them yourself, if thats how you learn fine, but TAKE IT WITH DRAGONE, you wont be sorry, shes helpful and she wants you to get that c-. gives quizzes (she drops your 2 worst and gives you 1 point just for being there),FAIR NON-TRICKY exams & is HELPFUL!!

Hands down, one the best professors I have ever had. Goes out of her way to help. I got the time of a test wrong once and showed up 3/4 of the way through it; she told me not to worry, and I got to take it the next day. VERY hard class (test-wise), but she does a great job. People seem to confuse Dragone's personality with her teaching. She is an extremely nice, helpful teacher, but she cannot teach the material very well. Her notes are confusing and test questions come from a teaching aid book. Her tests are the most difficult of the 207 teachers. I basically taught myself the chapters out of the handbook.

Extremely clear and fair teacher. Lots of notes to take. As long as you take notes and study the notes and do the assigned homework you'll get an A.

Deb is a great teacher and I haven't had many at Delaware. You will definitely work hard but the best of the accounting teachers. I liked her so much that I took her again for 208. She is as sweet as can be and is very fair.

She's a really great teacher. She explains things as many times as you need. Definitely go to class because she gives out a lot of handouts. She gives quizzes pretty often but they are very similar to the handouts and she drops the lowest two. Practice tests and review sessions really helpful for the test!

After reading all the negative reviews for Dragone, I had to write one. If you go to class, pay attention and study for each quiz, you will do just fine. The tests are just a reflection of the quizzes and what she went over in class. Overall, a great class and a great professor. She made me switch my major to accounting.

Take her class if you can for 207 or 208. Don't need the book if you go to lectures, because she tells you everything you need to know. The quizzes are easy and she drops the two lowest and gives bonus opportunities on most. The multiple choice on tests can be tricky, but the written questions are exactly like the ones from practice exams.

Had her for both. Very nice lady. Makes difficult material somewhat entertaining. Attendance and textbook optional but def helpful. Prepares her students best for the tests that are the same for the whole dept. Wide grade scale so whole grades (A,B,C...) are by far the most common.

This has by far been my most difficult class at this university. She is a great person, but not such a great professor. She goes through the material faster than any professor I have ever had before. Her exams are really difficult and I highly recommend reading the chapters before she teaches them, otherwise it's impossible to keep up with her.

The class isnt easy, but she makes a lot of material available on sakai that is a great guide when lectures get confusing. Get to know her. Shes very personable and office hours are very helpful.

Not sure why anyone says this class is difficult. The extra credit you get on quizzes is enough to bring your test grades up a lot and the quizzes come straight from class examples and hand outs. So much easier than 207, and Dragone explains things much more effectively than Vanleer, who was awesome, but Dragone is better. She gives so much extra credit so you can get B's on the exams and still pull off an A for the course. Great teacher, especially if you get on her good side. She doesn't have a bad side, so don't worry if you're dumb.

Dragone is an awesome person. Friendly, approachable, and smart as heck to boot. However, the class isn't a pushover; you NEED to attend lecture and do the outside of class assignments (only 3 of em, though). Weekly quizzes help boost your grade and keep you on top of the material, but be sure to go to a tutor/review session for the exams.

EXCELLENT professor. She goes through all the concepts and makes sure you're well prepared for the exams. There's study sessions and review for the exams. It's not an easy class, but it's not impossible. If you don't do well, it's because you didn't put in the work.

This is the best teacher I have had at delaware, Hand down. She is amazing, Show up to class focus for the 50 minutes and you'll be an A student. She gives a lot of quizzes but each quiz has 2 to 4 extra credit questions which adds up. you end up with 85 on quizzes and then you can take it easy on her tests. Prof. Dragone goes thru the material very fast so more likely than not you will be lost the first time she teaches a new topic. However if you pay attention whenever she goes over handouts and quizzes you will be caught and prepared enough for the material if it comes on a test. Tests are easy if you do a practice test. She really wants her students to succeed. She doesn't put the grades into canvas which is a little frustrating but she offers a lot of extra credit and tries to make sure her students do well. She only counts 8 quizzes but we take at least 11, so having 3 get dropped is nice. She doesn't take attendance but you won't learn if you don't go.

I'm a mkt major and really struggle with acct. That being said: Dragone is the BEST. Moves quick in class, had to teach myself. But she actually cares about students and will give all the help needed outside of class. Advice for exams: redo the quizzes and worksheets over and over until you nail them all. This class is challenging, and requires you to pay attention to every lecture. Attendance is not required. Grading consists of homework, quizzes (not worth a lot, but there's a lot of them and opportunities for extra credit on all of them), 3 Exams and a cumulative final. A good grade is doable if you put in the time, so start studying early!

She's the opposite of lazy. The only professor that still holds 5 live zoom lectures every day from home. Will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material, just make sure to ask for help when you need it!

I'm torn writing this review because she wasn't a good "online" professor. I'm told she's amazing in person, but I realized her lectures online were a waste and that the textbook problems were closer to the exam questions (since they make the questions). I got an A but it was only because of how much EC she gives. Wish me luck in Cost Accounting :0

Isn't very great at explaining the material. I recommend studying the homework more than her notes when taking quizzes and exams. On some of the quizzes and exams I did well, while others I did terrible. I failed the final but she offers so much extra credit that my final grade went from a B to an A.

Dragone is a great prof. She doesn't alwayexplain things very clearly in lectures but if you follow along her class lecture outlines and do the homeworks and extra credit you will be fine. I did pretty bad on like 2 of the quizzes but they barely affected my grade. Exams aren't that difficult if you study.

Gives a LOT of work but ultimately that work makes it easier to get an A. She gives tons of extra credit which combined with doing well on the quizzes, mini exams, and homeworks make the cumulative final less of an issue to get an A.

She is so sweet and willing to help you however she can. Extra credit WILL save you. It's very tedious at times but do it all and you will get an A. I failed most of the exams/quizzes and still ended up with an A. Even though I did bad on the assignments I still feel like I learned more than I did in ACCT207 with another prof.

Professor Dragone is a very good pick if you have the chance to get into one of her ACCT courses. She teaches slowly and helps you along the way. There are 4 mini exams and a final, none of them being too challenging. She is also just a very nice human being and I respect her!

Professor Dragone has a specific lecturing style where she teaches through examples and provides the textbook information, and you actually learn how to apply the material! Her office hours are great and she cares to help in and outside of class. Weekly homework takes time but is worth it for exams.

This is the first time I've ever understood what I was doing in an accounting class. While there is a lot of homework, its an accounting class and that comes with the territory. Dragone gives really good in class examples so you know what you're doing, and there's a lot of opportunities to earn points if you do poorly on the exams.

Professor Dragone's ACCT208 class has a lot of work, but she explains concepts well. The exams are challenging, but the frequent assignments help cushion the grade. For study prep, unstuck AI and the free textbook were really helpful alongside attending lectures.

Had professor Dragone for 208, 327 and 200. Literally one of the nicest professors I have ever had. Some of the other ratings are very misleading. Yes, there is a ton of work, but it is a cussion for the exams. You can fail all the exams and still end with a B easily. She's helped me out so much for career guidance, and I recommend eveyone take her

Great person, but as other reviews said, lectures are hard to follow and examples are not really provided for studying or homework. Nobody does good on exams or proctured quizzes. Very nice lady but the course is difficult. Lots of assignments for cushions on exams though, would take if you are good at accounting, otherwise I would try to find else
