detailed descriptions, but a lot of homework. She's a good teacher and enthusiastic a/b math!

She is a very helpful teacher. If you are really not a math person, then GEddings is your teacher. She gives a lot of homework, but the class is a breeze I never did her homework. She is really a pace teacher. She also drops the 2 lowest quiz grades and

VERY EASY!!!! I never did the homework...always got A's on test, and she always helped me.. i got on her good side...and she helped me with tests...etc

She was always willing to help- going to class and doing the hw is part of her curriculum, but as long as you did that, you will do really will

Dr.Geddings was very helpful and nice. She gives a lot of work but it's very helpful. She give spot homework checks so make sure to COMPLETE all the assignments. She is a great teacher and helps out on your final grade by giving extra credit and dropping quizzes. I would definitely recoommend her.

not hard..just go to class because you get points at the end of the year for doing it..she is kind of spacey, but the class isnt hard

Not a difficult class even if you didn't have calc. in highschool. Very helpful during office hours. Do the homework, go to her office if you have questions, study, and sit in the front and you should get an "A." She gives an optional extra credit project that will give you 20 extra points.

Great teacher for Calc I. I especially recommend her if you are continuing in Math. Did every she could to help us learn and make a good grade. (Extra Credit, dropped low grades etc.)

Easy class to do well in. She is very helpful, and understands if you don't get it. She is very corny and laughs at her own jokes, alone. Very intelligent and gives a 5 point bonus on your grade for attending every class. I will deffinitely take her again. Recommended to all.

I like her. To me she is very helpful and cares about her students understanding the material. She goes at a slow rate and will work with you during office hours. She's a character though!

Geddings is awesome! She's fun and wants you to enjoy her class! I thought she was refreshing at 8 in the morning! She's excited about her job and trys to make math fun, which can be difficult! I liked her a lot! Her tests and quizzes weren't bad because she tells you what to study! Take HER!

Very easy class. She tells you exactly what is going to be on the test and it is there. Not at all hard if you know anything about basic calulus. Not the best at teaching and explaining stuff but I never found it hard. I would recommend her

SCATTER-BRAINED. I was pretty lost at the beginning of the semester, but once you get used to her informal approach to the class it gets easier. She is helpful and nice. Just be PATIENT, and definitely go to class. I actually think I'll end up with an A in there b/c I got used to how she teaches.

I suck at Math period, let alone Calculus. I bombed the first two tests and did good on the last one. Also did good on the exam. Just show progression and attend class all the time and get to know her, and she will go out of her way to help you. I was expecting a D and got a B.

She was great... SOO EASY. I made her class my ****. I have always done pretty well in math and this class was a piece of cake. She also gives 5 points extra credit if you have perfect attendence... Sit in the front too... she loves that

Prof. Geddings was one of the better math teachers ive ever had. On test and quizes you can usually argue back points and if you dont understand something if you go to her office hours she always more then willing to help you (even if its the day of the test) Id reccommend her to anyone.

I thought this was an interesting class - seemingly pointless at times, but interesting. Geddings does a good job, though. She is nice and caring as long as you do your work and don't talk during class.

I love her as a teacher! She cares about everyone understanding the material. She grades tough, but just pay attention to what you are doing. I have made A's on my exams. If you have a little work ethic and determination, you can do well in this class. I am actually disappointed that I can't take her next semester! I would recommend her to anyone.

This class is extremely difficult. The material is not, however, the way she grades is absurd. She is willing to help, but she is beyond picky in what she wants from you. She will take off points for anything she can find.

Nice lady but often a picky grader... If you do badly on first exam, all hope isn't lost

Dr. Geddings is really interesting- she's actually really cool but you wouldn't know it by the sheer amount of work she gives. I recommend going to her office hours, taking a lot of notes, and asking questions. Her tests are killer though and require a lot of writing, but she'll help you if you ask.

Dr. Geddings gets a bad rap but she's really not that mean. She's pretty funny in a dry way, and she's very very helpful in office hours. I wish the grading was a little more consistent, but other than that she's a good teacher. The classes you have to take with her (Math 401, 602, and 603) are really hard though, so good luck.

Many people do not like this teacher, but I found her extremely helpful. The lectures are confusing at times, but before each test she always holds a study session to ask whatever questions you may have. I did not buy the book, I didn't find it helpful. Also, do not skip class unless you want to be completely lost. Overall, I would take her again.

Geddings isn't bad. She always tells you exactly what she wants on assignments which makes things easier. Tests can be difficult but if you go to class and pay attention then you will do fine. Decent amount of quizzes and homework though. Will be taking for MATH222 because I know I'll do fine.

I love Dr. Geddings. She is tough, but if you do the work and ask questions you'll do fine. She really wants you to do well and if you think you should have gotten a question right, just go up to her and ask about it she will give points back if she was wrong. Go to her office hours, and do the homework because those questions are on the test.

Geddings is a sweet lady who is scatterbrained at times. iPads are an integral part of this course, but they make things easier. She grades very strictly, and likes things to be very detailed. She is very knowledgable and genuinely wants you to succeed. Mid level ed majors have to take her 3 times, so it's a style of teaching to get used to.

Amazing teacher, really wants you to succeed and understand The information given. If you go to class, participate, do your homework and study. You will be good. Gives a good bit of homework, but helped me grasp the material better. Tests relate to the homework and the teaching. She is scatter brained and very tough grader. But overall great class

A lot of people do not like her but she really isn't as bad as people make it seem. She wants you to understand math in a different way than people are used to learning it. Go to her extra help sessions right before the tests!!! That is the only reason I got an A. And make sure you follow penpal directions carefully everytime.

She wants everyone to do well and is really trying to prepare her students to become teachers. Sometimes students get annoyed how specific she is about explaining answers but if you listen to what she wants and go to her review sessions right before a test you will do fine. She is also really funny and really caring if you get to know her.

Not a hard class, but a lot of people struggle with it because it's a different way of thinking . You have to really understand why you're doing what you're doing and be able to explain that - she's very particular about grading explanations. She's always willing to answer questions though, so take advantage of it!

Before coming to her class, I didn't like math because of what I experienced in high school. When I first came to Dr. G's class, I didn't understand her way of teaching. But over time, I see that she wants her students to understand how & why it is being solved a certain way (not by examples). Dr. G cares about her students' success in her class.

I took her class because I did not get placed into calculus 1, and I am glad I did. This class prepared me for calculus more than any precalculus class I have ever taken. Here's the things you need to keep in mind if you want to pass her class 1 DO THE HOMEWORK (I can't stress this enough) 2 PAY ATTENTION 3 GO TO TUTORING. Math is never a free A

I was hesitant to take this professor at first with such a low rating. However, within the first few sessions I found that she is a great professor, and is actually better than some of my others. She is very caring, offers plenty of EC, and she may be strict about phones and paying attention, but you have to in order to learn, especially in math.

Geddings is a good Professor. There were a lot of rocky moments throughout the semester, but she does care for her students, & she does take the time to make sure that we know the material well (and she knows it well herself). She gives EC on quizzes and exams and they're not terrible. Just a tough grader. There's a lot of hw, but its free points.

Many people dislike her but after having her for three classes in a row, I quickly came to lover her as a professor. She is hard to get the hang of but knows the material and will make sure you do too as long as you ask questions.

Dr. Geddings has got to be one of the sweetest professors i've had for math. She is straightforward when it comes to her assignments and has gives thorough explanations to her students when there is any confusion. She also gives many extra credit opportunities throughout the course. If you want to succeed in her class, do the HW and practice!

This is college, you're not going to get spoon-fed. She will expect you to take imitative to try and pass her class. She gives lots of help, lots of EASY EASY EASY extra credit points. She will take the time out of her class to explain even the simplest things to you, don't feel bad for asking stupid questions. Grades hw off of completion.

Took Dr.Geddings for both MATH 111 and 122. I have enjoyed both classes and found her teaching method easy to understand. Although many have said that her classes are difficult, as long as you practice, do the homework, answer questions during classes, and go to SI, you should be fine! Finally, she's really funny during lectures which is nice!

She gets a lot of hate, which some is warranted, but not the worst teacher i've ever had and really tries to get you to understand the concepts and how math is connected. SI sessions are mandatory, but they do actually help sometimes, just bring in your own questions because the TA is not gonna go over everything in 50 minutes.

A lot better than her 111 class. Teaches concepts well. Can still be a bit high schoolish sometimes with calling out people on phones and laptops. If you know math well her classes get frustrating because she's focused on those who really struggle. Mostly organized, but look at announcements, assignments can come out of nowhere. Very easy class.

She's one of my favorite teachers with TRIO. She wants her questions on quizzes and tests in a specific way but she tells you how to write them or just ask her if the way you write it is okay! Her final replaces the lowest test grade and she genuinely tries to get you to understand the material.
