Don't take her! I wish I had read these reviews before I signed up. Puts class down when asking questions and makes you feel like you should have known everything already. Lengthy explanations and presents unclear procedures.

Dr. Jeter's class may be hard, but I really think it is because of the material itself. She does a great job explaining everything, and is nice as long as you aren't slacking off. You have a lot of homework(all online) but aside from the video lectures, there is nothing bad I can say.

She is horrible and doesn't care if you pass or fail. Mocks those in class who need help but then pretends to try and be all helpful at office hours. For the love of God, take someone else for Math 111 or any math for that matter.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Jeter does a backwards classroom, meaning you watch a lecture (30+ mins) of new material outside of class and do an "activity" in class. Homework is EXTREMELY time consuming and completely online! Math was my strongest subject in HS and I got a 98 in PreCalc.... had to withdraw from this class, couldn't teach myself calculus.

I took Calculus before taking this course, but many people who did not have a strong foundation in calculus struggled. Don't procrastinate on the online assignments. Some took forever; others were really simple. The group "labs" were killer though. They really make you think. She appears stern at first but she actually has a lot of funny stories.

Dr. Jeter spends a lot of time in lectures explaining the concepts she's teaching with graphs and life applications, which is great if visualizing helps you learn, but it can be frustrating if demonstrations and practice are more valuable to you. The online homework is a pain, but she was understanding enough to extend the deadlines when needed.

Jeter was alright. You have to get used to her and the rude comments she tends to make towards students. If you can get another teacher, do it, but if you have to take her, it is not the end of the world. Just study hard and pay attention and you will be okay.

I went on RMP before I took this class and I am very happy that I didn't let the reviews discourage me. Dr. Jeter is the best math teacher I've had the privilege of having. Her in class lectures are very clear, she tells you what to expect on test, offers extra credit, and genuinely cares that you do well. cool person, even more an amazing teacher

Sweet lady who does not care about people coming in late (almost to a fault) and will work with you if you show any effort. She really cares about student success, and she opens class with homework questions that directly help your grade. Tests are the only challenge. Although I struggled in Calc, she kept the class as enjoyable as possible.

Dr. Jeter is the best math teacher I have ever had. I have taken MATH 111 and MATH 120 with her and I feel like she has definitely helped my understanding of more difficult math. Excellent professor. Cares about students' success. Provides video lectures and lecture for most of her lectures in class in case you miss a lecture; these aren't nearly as in depth as her class lecture, but still helpful. Very open to helping students outside of class as well. Homework is thru webassign; Test aren't easy, but fair.

I love this woman. I won't lie, the class was tough and there was a ton of WebAssign, but she is the sweetest. I took two semesters in a row & I still adore her just as much. She is definitely tough, but gives great feedback so that you can see what you're doing wrong, and is always available for office hours (go!). As long as you listen and ask questions, there is no reason to get a bad grade. Tests reflect content in class.
