She's a very nice teacher and more willing to help. She gives you all the notes that you will need. She has her own method which are easier than the book. She gives you what's going to be on the test. Her website is very useful.

Mrs. Schimdt is a great instructor. She makes her lectures very easy to understand, and is very helpful. Her tests are not extremely difficult. I enjoyed taking her class, she can be quite intimidating at first, but she is actually really nice. Her final is also fairly easy!

I just took a summer class with this prof. I was expecting it to be really hard. I don't think I have ever learned as much in one semester as I have in this class. She's da bomb. ALL the handouts are on the website and clear and concise instructions were given. I learned ALOT.

Wow! This is a great teacher who truly cares about each student. I thought this class was going to be TOTALLY HARD and she has made it bearable and even fun. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed an accounting class, and I am kinda bummed to see it come to an end.

This class is hard. Anyone that tells you differently is lying. Having said that, Prof Schmit makes it much easier, provides lots of notes, has a great website if you have to miss class. But you need to work hard and do the work to do well in the class. Most HW done 0nline. Quizzes and tests are hard but doable. Much better than other profs

She is very helpful and kind. Will help you anytime you ask her for it. Must show up to class everyday or it will be very hard to catch up. Not the class for an avg. slacker, but easier than all the other accounting teachers.

Spreadsheet Acct is fairly cool and worth learning. Schmidt is a no-nonsense, old school teacher. Attendance is key. Show up, and follow her instructions and you'll do fine. She can be a little picky, so be sure your results are accurate.

Best class I have ever taken at Cerritos. The class was tight knit. It went by too fast, but we learned many practical templates. She challenged us every day. Extremely organized and hands on. Even had pizza during class to celebrate Lakers win! Never had a teacher do that.

Ms. Schmidt is a great accounting teacher! She teaches very well and gives shortcuts that the book often elongates. When asking her a question she responds to them all; give her the dumbest question you can think of she will answer it as if it was the smartest! Highly recommended to students who are accounting and non accounting majors!

Instructor is top notch. However this class is much harder than I thought. She has a helpful website and provides notes for each chapter. She cares for her students. She encourages questions. She really breaks it down for you with handouts on the ch. her study guide is "okay" & she isn't a difficult grader, thank gawd! Professor Schmidt was a very good Professor and person to me. She seemed to really care about her students and would go that extra mile so that the class would understand the material. Schmidt is a fantastic professor, and person. She cares about you getting a good grade and always makes herself available for questions. She is one to bend over backwards to help you understand. BUT don't think you can not put in work! Put in the work,ask her if you need help, you will get an A.

This class begins so slow! It has to assume you know nothing of excel. So if your an excel user prepare to be bored for 3 weeks. However, her teaching is still superb. She helps set up templates later in class. No question is a dumb question to her. I recommend her to all.

DO NOT LET HER FOOL YOU! She says in ACCT 101, and at the beginning of 102 that 102 gets easier as we go along...NO This class is goes from difficult, hard, ridiculous hard, easy. Last test is the easiest. I think in this class she could have done a better job. Subjects harder than others required more focus.

One of my favorite classes. Class started off a little slow but we learned how to create and utilize several business templates using excel that will help us in our personal lives. Always arrived at class early to give us extra time. Will recomment teacher to others.

This class is not a breeze. With that said Professor Schmidt does a excellentjob in explaining the material, which the book only complicates. Her methods are clearer and more understandable than the book. However, she does not bring enthusiasm and energy. Don't get her mad, she can make life very difficult.

This professor is an incredible person inside and outside of the classroom. The class was VERY DIFFICULT, but it was passable with her notes, and encouragement, and patience. Harder topics were gone over again. She really cares about her students and will go out of her way to make sure they grasp the material.

She is a really nice professor. She always tries to help C and lower students to understand. She always be at her office 2 hours before class so that we can ask for help any time. She bought T-shirts to donate money for Nepal earthquake and shared them with us. How adorable she is! she is the greatest accounting teacher. I was lucky i met her.

She is one of the best Accounting Professor. The material is tough but she made it more easier to understand than the text book so it is really important to attend to her lectures. she really do care for her students. Finally, she usually teach early morning so i hope you are able to wake up early morning but her class is worth it.

There is no easy A in the accounting series, but an easy A means a lack of preparation in future courses in my opinion. Schmidt cares a lot about her student's future and it shows in her lectures and all aspects of communication inside and outside of class. I took her for all 3 semesters and HIGHLY recommend the same to all business majors.

Wow Fast paced summer class. She is VERY ORGANIZED, kept us on track, provided handouts for each chapter, went over many examples in class. (Previous attempt in class where the instructor went over very few examples.) Arrived at class early every day to open lab (7 am - UGH) and stayed after late every day so that we could work in lab-Amazing!

Very tough grader and a lots of homework.

She is very good. I took her for 100 and she really wants you to get it! She will go over things with you and you definitely need the study. She gives out study guide, she lets you know what to study so there aren't any surprises. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't know you accounting stuff then i wouldn't miss.

She is an amazing and compassionate teacher. SHE CARES FOR HER STUDENTS and it is evident in the way she encourages and participates in the class lectures. These classes are HARD. But if you attend class and take notes and do what she tells you to do, you will be successful. She keeps in touch with many students even after they leave. Impeccable.

Schmidt is so sweet and kind. she has truly become one of my favorite professors. i hear good things about her all the time even in classes i haven't taken with her. i took 133 (Excel) with her and she was so helpful and kind. i hope i can have her as my professor again. her quizzes and test are pretty easy if you do your work. its the same thing.

Prof. Johnson is very helpful, and give good feedback. I took the online class and I was expected to be more harder than I thought. The class was a little difficult but every time I needed help prof. Johnson would answer my email fast and with very good feedbacks, and it doesn't matter how many times you email her asking for help she always answer.

Ms Schmidt (now Johnson) is the reason I decided to major in Accounting. In Acct 100 she plays a video for the students a variety of different accounting career possibilities. She is so clear in the way she teaches and often uses her own business examples in class, which I enjoy. Her tests are hard but she gives out a helpful study guide.

She is a wonderful professor. I have heard so many positive comments from my friends. They didn't do her or the class justice. I learned so much and she made herself available any time I had a question. She has handouts for every chapter. We spent a lot of time working through problems in class. I am considering changing my major to acct.

She is nice and grades fairly. She helps you understand how to use excel and the class work is easy to follow. She goes step by step with the problems and tells you what's going to be on the tests. I don't encourage missing a class because you can get behind, especially if you forgot some basic accounting material. I would take her again.

ACCT 102 was a tough course. She breaks down the material step-by-step. We went over many examples in class. Her motto is practice, practice, practice. We spent a good deal of time in the computer lab so it was easy to get help. She answers emails at all hours of the day. Tests were given back the next class period. One word - caring!!!!

I took Professor Johnson for accounting 100, 101, 133 and 102. I seriously wish she taught more accounting classes. She leaves the chapter reading up to you and jumps right in to the practice. She encourages questions and never makes you feel like you asked a stupid question. She is clear on what will be on the exams and is sincere and caring.

Just walked out of an ACCT 101 final exam. I was going to wait to post this. She is an amazing teacher. Very smart, yet extremely easy to talk to and compassionate and caring. She demands ALOT from her students. She sets high expectations and does not tolerate laziness. She will call you out on it. Will be back for the next 102 class.

Nice enough to give us printed out notes and a rundown of the important parts of the book. What I love about her is she gives so many examples related to the homework and exam. She is intimidating, and looks annoyed when you ask a question, but dont let fear keep you from asking help or passing the class. Summer class. Do able, study and pass.

Same concept, gives printed out notes, notes related to the homework. This class is hard, it isn't no ACCT100. Its intense, but if you study ahead of time, scan your notes and hw each night, do your hw, and quizzes you will succeed. Put in all your effort and if you're lost ask a classmate or the teacher. Exam has a very different format from A100

I took Professor Johnson's ACCT102 course in the Spring and LOVED it! She gave a lot of practice, but it's very useful to not only prepare for exams, but actually learn the concepts. I am currently taking her ACCT133 class and am happy she's teaching it because she is so sweet, and her e-mails just make my day! She's amazing!

Professor Johnston is an amazing instructor who has a clear grading criteria. She is always open to help and her tests are very similar to the homework she assigns. I would say she's the best instructor in the whole accounting department at Cerritos College.

She is very kind and a very smart professor. She is clear with what she expectations. You must earn the participation points. She notices when you're late and she notices when you don't attend lab. It is obvious that she cares for her students and will do anything she can do to help. Lectures are mostly practice problems to help you understand.

Accounting is hard but she will do everything she can to help you succeed. She answers emails quickly, gives detailed notes, and warns you of what you're in for on the tests. She never makes you feel dumb and always makes your question feel important. It is tough, but if you try your hardest and listen theres no reason you shouldn't pass.

She is a good professor, you will need the book for access code and everyday in class. The HW is done online along with the quiz's .She is very good at explaining everything. If you pay attention,do the homework you should have no problem passing. She always works with you on availability if you need extra help. Attendance is mandatory.

Amazing professor, taking her again for ACC101/102. She's really smart, gives you a clear criteria of how to do the accounting problems. Her classes her pretty early for ACC 101/102 so blehh but it'll be worth it!

There are no words to describe how amazing Prof. J is. She is very skilled and knowledgable about her profession. Loves her job. She's always available for you no matter what! This is not an easy grade (unless you're an Acct. wiz), you do have to work for it, but it's not too difficult. Just do your hw, STUDY, and ask for help. Def. need the books.

I have taken professor Johnson for ACCT 101 and 102, I have received the highest grade in the class both semesters and never opened my book and have no prior knowledge, going to class is key. Her teaching method and lectures are extremely helpful in understanding material. She is accessible anytime and really wants you to succeed.

Paying attention to lectures and practicing the material definitely helps. Kinda felt like Prof Johnson babies us a little bit in the acct100 class but thats not a real problem. Easy intro class, Tests are worth a lot of points.

A really patient Professor with a good attitude at all. The assignment was pretty easy, and exam was pretty easy as well. Just for reminding some of the multiple choice question in the exam was from the old publisher website, you guys can go visit that website(is in the syllabus) and study for it, is pretty much the same. Great professor! Super involved and loves to give feedback. Somewhat tough class but if you do all the homework and study you will do well. She makes it super easy to stay on track. Weekly homework, quizzes, 4 exams, couple easy discussion posts, and 2 writing assignments. Optional assignments.

She was a really good professor, she clearly explains the material and helps out a lot of students. She replies pretty fast to emails and but I really recommend actually going to the lectures because she helps alot with the homework and gives you alot a practice.

Professor Johnson is really good professor and does her very best to help her students. You have really study and divide into the class because then the class will be hard but otherwise this class is easy. If you study and do the assignments you will be good.

For her 101 class, she uses regular Mcgraw Hill Connect homework which is around 10 problems per week. She has weekly quizzes due every Sunday as well. I had her in person and her exams are taken in the accounting lab. You can use your own laptop and she may walk around during tests. She is very kind and she cares for her students!

If you want to learn how to use Excel take Proffesor Johnsons' 133 class. She is a great teacher and provides excellent feedback on all your assignments. I had never used Excel and had never taken an online course before but she made the transition easy on both ends. Ask for help if you need it, she genuinely wants to see her students succeed.

Starting off, I took this course during the summer, which was heavily face paced. However, it was not so difficult if you did all of the assignments (including the extra practice). If you are not a lecture individual such as myself, then you should be able to pass by reading the book and doing the assignments. I heavily recommend this professor!

If I could rave about anyone it would Professor Johnson. Her class was amazing she hands down in my opinion is the best accounting professor at Cerritos College. She is a tough professor but she has this love for her students that truly shows that she wants her students to thrive. I wish her 102 class was in person if so I would have taken her.

Professor Johnson is a caring and inspirational instructor. She will guide you to success as long as you put in effort to learn the material. You will have to take time on the side to understand the material since she gives out a lot of information at once in the lectures, so it'll take time to process it. I 10/10 recommend taking her classes.

Great Professor! Very engaging, gives great feedback, and responds to messages. Get ready to put in a lot of effort! Not an easy A. Class structure is easy to understand. Just follow the To-Do assignments on Mcgraw-Hill. Exams are proctored, cheating will not get you through the class. I took her 6 week class over the summer and passed with an A+.

I took the six week summer course. It had a lot of stuff packed in, but P. Johnson really cared about me and was an awesome teacher. Her lectures were easy to understand and the only reason it was hard is becaues accounting is new to me. She offered me an opportunity with Cal CPA but sadly the other prof in charge never got back to me. :/

First online class that I have taken and she made it an amazing experience. Lectures are pre-recorded, all assignments are on Connect, and the exams are proctored so make sure you have a camera. Test every 3 chapters and she does provide a study guide for each one. Don't procrastinate because the work will start building up, so start it early!!

Professor Johnson is a good professor. I did struggle myself with accounting and did not take advantage of the student resources. I took the class online and was able to pass with a B. She does assign a lot of homework but my recommendation would be to take the time to understand accounting.
