I really liked Dr. Mohler as a person, but as a professor for one of the hardest classes in college I would not recommend her. She made most things more confusing. She was not good at explaining things in lecture. However her office hours helped. 7 quizzes and cumulative final. Some quizzes weren't bad, some made me cry. She curves everything.

Professor Mohler was a very interactive teacher. This class is hard and she does the best she can to try to make it a fun learning environment. Warning, the problems on the quizzes are nothing like the problems she gives in class or in the homework, so be sure to really know the information before each quiz. At least she curves the final grade.

Genuinely awful prof - doesn't explain anything or provide any lectures, just expects you to figure it out. Had us do an at home experiment that made multiple people call poison control and 911 because NaOH exploded. Tests are on material she never taught and she won't explain why you lose points on assignments well. Miserable semester, hated lab.

She didn't teach anything and only gave us a single worksheet explaining each lab. Rather useless as a teacher as she didn't really teach and was difficult to reach via email. Grades on a curve but you have no idea what your grade will be until it is on your transcript. I never knew how to study for exams because she didn't lecture or teach.

I have her for orgo lab and she refuses to give anyone a 100 on ANYTHING. This is the hardest class I've ever taken and it is 1 credit. Literally dread going every week. This should be at least a 3 credit course for how much she expects from us. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

honestly, she is the best chem professor in the dept. she is a harsh grader but if you take her MWF classes, you will have a quiz every other Friday (7 total) and no unit tests. practice quizzes are similar to it. I like this better because it forces you to keep up and only be tested on limited material. taking her again for orgo II.

Dr. Mohler is a great person, but I didn't love her teaching style. She posts lecture videos to watch outside of class, so the actual lecture time is spent doing a couple of practice problems. She provides practice quizzes that are very similar to the quizzes, but they are all open-ended and very hard. She does give a lot of partial credit though.

All of her lectures are online videos and her class is just doing worksheets. Test every two weeks and she allows a cheat sheet which honestly does not help much. The practice tests are much easier than the actual test and are not super beneficial. Its basically an online class with in person tests. Oh and dont expect emails back.

Does an excellent job of conveying organic chemistry as simply as she can while still getting the information across. There are seven quizzes throughout the semester and a final, which I prefer to the four-exam format of most classes. Quizzes are difficult, but a cheat sheet with no restrictions is allowed and grades are curved. Wonderful professor

Organic chem is hard, but she gives the information as best as she can for you to understand. It is a reverse classroom style, and there are seven quizzes, one gets dropped, and a final. You are allowed a cheat sheet on each one with whatever you want, but must be handwritten. She is very caring and has many funny stories!

I love this woman, she actually makes an effort to get to know her students. I had her for lecture as well as lab. Her notes/videos can be a bit unorganized at times. We literally got out of lab early every single time, and never stayed for more than 2.5-3 hours. Midterm, final, and lab reports (they really arent that bad).

I will give Dr. Mohler credit because this is a hard class, but she doesn't do much to make it easier. Pre-labs due before every lab (not hard), worksheets due every lab (will never get a perfect score), and huge paper that you will probably cry about because it's so hard. Does not respond to emails fast + midterm and final are free response...

It is reverse classroom style so if that doesn't work for you then I wouldn't recommend her class. The ALEKS homeworks were very time consuming and you will have to watch lecture videos before coming to class to understand what is going on.

I know that Orgo is difficult but this class felt like she was purposefully making it harder. She stated that she purposefully makes exams too long to finish on time to split between As and Bs for medical school. I never knew my grade even though we had quizzes every other Friday. There were also no responses to emails until the last month.

This woman is great for lab she is a genuinely good person and you can tell she enjoys what she is doing. There was no midterm or final just worksheets and she is clear on the criteria, the only downside is that she takes a while to grade the worksheets and is a bit of a tough grader but nothing outrageous. I would take her for any lab offered.

Don't do it. If this is the only class open, that is for a reason. She is a really nice person, and is not that bad of a teacher, but her exams do not match her efforts in teaching. Most students get a C or below in her exams, and usually its is unlikely finish them due to time and difficulty. Trust me, wait a semester and pick another professor.

Dr.Mohler is really sweet, but her class is mid. 7 quizzes each semester, 1 is dropped. She has a flipped classroom approach but the videos are from 2020 and she doesn't even know what she says in them half the time. When she does lecture in class itis very helpful but she rarely does. You have to go to office hours to do decent but she does curve.

I had Mohler for 241/242; 241 felt harder, but 242 tests were tougher. You get a crib sheet, but don't rely on it—exams are only 30 mins and range from moderate to very hard. Mohler won't spoon-feed, but if you put in effort, anyone can succeed. She is super kind, funny and knowledgable and is willing to help you succeed if you put in the work!

She's a funny teacher, I'll give her that.. but not the most effective. Her class uses old 2020 flipped-classroom videos and a few in-class practice problems. I signed up for Karan but ended up doing a 50/50 semester split with her. Quizzes allow a cheat sheet but are only 30 minutes, and tests are tough. Take Hollinsed or literally anyone else.

I will say, she's a very sweet and funny professor, however, her teaching style is very difficult to follow, and her quizzes are unnecessarily difficult with the class averages being between 50 and 60%. She uses old zoom lectures that usually have 50% life story and 50% lecture, which can get a little frustrating. Personally, would not take again.

Flipped classroom which I don't prefer. Her notes can be confusing but she's very nice and funny, just not the best professor. Her vids are old lecture vids but you do get a cheat sheet on quizzes but they don't really help too much if you don't know what you're doing.
