The most dedicated and concerned teacher that I have ever known. She is a terrific teacher by all accounts. She knows her material and is devoted to teaching and learning more all the time,and sharing knowledge with her students continuously.

I didnt find this teacher easy at all, her tests are very hard and she says that everything on the notes is what is on the test well I study hard for the test by her notes and then it is different when you get on the test. other than that she is a real nice lady and as a person i liked her.

She was a very helpful teacher and explained everything as much as needed. If you dont do good on the test, she gives many oppertunities to do extra credit. It is some work but can still get an A.

Mrs. Socci is one of Seminole CC best instructors. The class is hard, but she go out of her way to help her students. I would recommend her to anyone that has to take anatomy!!! She is truley generous with her time.

Great teacher, you get many notes, but indeed, the tests come straight from the notes. Of course, you will need to do some reading to get an A. Just take some time and read some of the book and get that A. I would recommend her, and I plan on taking another class with her. The class is based on tests and labs.

Very helpful, would open labs early for us to study. Goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands the material. The class is hard but she knows her stuff and explains it all wonderfully.

best teacher for bio. makes the class interesting. just memorize and understand her notes.and u wll do good on the tests. don't have to read the book except for the figures. the course is challenging and excieting. i'm sure u will like her. spend about 2 hours per week u will get good grade.

Tests are very difficult and focus on useless details rather than concepts. Don't waste your time taking lecture notes. You MUST study, study, study your textbook. Expect the unexpected on Lab Exams.

I suck at science, but I managed to finish Bio with a B thanks to Socci. She's extremely helpful and will go over the material a million times if you need her to! Tests are ridiculously hard/tricky, labs and weekly quizzes are a breeze and reading is critical! She gives extra credit for attendance & your LAB BOOKS so fill them out! Trust, take her!

Ms. Socci is EXTREMELY HELPFUL. Biology is a hard subject to understand reguardless of the teacher. She explains it very well. She is always helpful and understanding. Labs are explained in detail before you begin. TAKE HER CLASS!

Socci was a really good teacher, cares about students and really knows the material BUT this was not an easy grade. I worked harder in this class than any other at SCC. She is a little unreasonable with her tests and they were extremely difficult, but she will answer any questions you have..

Not sure why everyone is raving about this teacher. I was excited to take her based on everyone's ratings, but this was one of the most difficult/unclear classes I've ever taken at SCC. Her tests were way more complicated than notes and lab practicals were one word: RIDICULOUS. I'm not a slacker student, i worked hard & still didn't pass.

I love Dr. Socci-she is passionate about the environment. Tests are hard-4 chapters and only 20 questions. Very nice and gives 20 extra credit points for attending optional field trip.

I enjoyed taking Honors Environmental Biology with Dr. Socci. She is very organized, yet she allows for free thinking and discussion. I had not had that much interest in the topic before taking the class, but now I am much more aware of environmental issues and made changes in my own habits that effect the environment. Take the class w/Dr. Socci!

This teacher is very nice and funny, she is odd sometimes but you get used to her quickly. Coursework was extremely easy and fun.

This was my first college class I have ever taken, so I was super nervous about passing. I ended up with a 99.9 in her class. I attended office hours, and she was ALWAYS willing to talk things through with me that I didn't understand. Be prepared to study. Biology isn't an easy class; however, with her, it it is most definitely doable.

Dr. Socci does not formulate her classes to help students succeed. She expects you to memorize every detail of her (very lengthy) PowerPoint pres. and doesn't narrow down what questions are going to be on her exams. Instead of using pics from her slides on the exams she uses different ones. Her lectures are very dry, uninteresting and 3 hrs long.

I do love Professor Socci, she is an amazing teacher but her tests are hard. If you need help she will try to fully explain until you understand. She gives ALOT of extra credit but you do have to study in order to pass.

This teacher saved my life. I wish I could take her the rest of college. Test are tough. But there isn't a way she can change the material needed to be covered. I barely passed each test and failed two and still got a solid B thanks to all the extra credit and curves. STUDY her notes

Professor Socci is great at explaining complex biological systems. After EVERY test, she took the time to go over EVERY problem I got wrong and explained why. Her tests a tough, but not without reason. If you truly want an understanding of Bio 1, she is an amazing professor to take. If you want an easy A, you may want to continue your search.

Professor Socci is very sweet. Her class was hard but theres a reason for that - we NEED to know this for the medical field. Her lectures were very clear. She gives lots of extra credit so I feel like it balances the hard test questions. Those that are complaining are probably the ones that waited til the last minute to study. USE THE TEXTBOOK!!

Make sure you use them to take notes and read the chapters and you are good to go. She genuinely wants you to do well in class and she will make every effort to help you if you ask. She cares so much about her students success and goes above and beyond to help. Here is the formula for success: read the chapter, then go to class, do homework repeatedly, study PP.

READ THE BOOK, participate in lecture, go over her power points, and ask for clarification on things you don't understand. She is always available to help you succeed and cares that you do. She is the best professor at SSC.

Dr. Socci does not belong at Seminole State. She belongs at an Ivy league University. Consider it an honor to be taught by her. Do not disregard the book, read the material BEFORE lecture so that you absorb information easier and it also makes it more entertaining. Do the homework over and over and study her Power Points and you will be just fine.

This class is not an "Easy A", but it's not an impossible course either. She's very clear about what to study for exams, gives extra credit on homework, and she truly cares about you understanding the material so don't be afraid to ask questions. Read the chapters before her lecture, don't be lazy, and you will be perfectly fine.

Socci's truly amazing, her passion for science shows. Her class is straightforward and guides you through the semester well. Pay attention in lecture and practice weekly with the lab models and you'll do fine. 4 tests, 4 lab practicals, weekly HW, a few easy miscellaneous assignments. Always willing to help & easily reached outside class.

This is my second time taking this class therefore please take it from me when I say TAKE PROFESSOR SOCCI. Professor Socci is a great teacher and is easy to learn from but the class is not easy. This course requires a lot of effort. Review the video lectures and just read the slides given, notes and text book a little bit everyday.

Like any science class, the material is tough but she makes it extremely easy to understand. Make sure you actually study the material and it will be easy to pass the class.

I highly recommend taking Professor Socci's class. She is amazing, and she truly cares about her students. Throughout this semester she was there for me even would respond back to me during the weekend when I had questions. This is not an easy class so be prepared to study for tests. I took Professor Socci for Biology 1 with a lab. She is an amazing professor. I am not going to lie, the class is incredibly hard, but it is not because she is a bad teacher. She is very clear during her lectures, always open to help any student, gives lots of extra credit, and she truly wants her students to pass. Study hard, and you will pass!

Two homeworks a week, it is a hard class but I would recommend taking her for it. Shes good at teaching and helps when needed. Many tests and quizzes that require a lot of heavy studying. She offers a couple extra credit opportunities and there are fun labs we get to do. Overall would recommend her.
