She's awesome and the tests are easy. As for the speeches... if you have trouble getting up there and getting pwned by you're phobia, then I would suggest look at the wall or something and just pretend that everyone in the class is family. Be as loud as you want and express yourself and your speech the way you envisioned it and you'll ace the class

Ms. White is the niciest teacher for speech that you can have on this campus. If you are afraid to speak in front of the class she will help you out alot. There were a few people in the class that were afraid but by the end they were one of the best speakers. She does a lot of classroom excercises and group work its pretty fun

Took 9 first because was scared of speeches but I absolutely love Ms. White. She is a GREAT teacher so I took spe 1 as well and she made it so easy and fun!! Very caring towards others, tests are EASYYY, shares great stories with you, and great sense of style! lol

Honestly, before I took this class I was absolutely terrified to talk in front of a class, but Mrs. White makes it really easy and I love all the activities we did everyday. This class was really easy and fun.

She is very funny and light hearted, obviously loves what she does and is very passionate. She always made those who were nervous feel very comfortable. the whole class became close almost like a family. We even took her out for her birthday after the term. She also is there for u outside of class as someone to talk to. Highly recommend her class.

Ok there is a lot to be said about this inspirational lady. She is one of the most caring proffessors i have met. Her assignments are not just easy but you actually learn from them. Have you had an easy class but did not learn? this class isn't like that. You will come out of it knowing more and wanting to learn more. Keep track of your grades%hw.

Absolutely loved this class. She always makes it interesting, we have a lot of in class activities, movies. There is a lot of laughter in that class. Had a fun cultural project where we ended up bringing our cultures food at the end. Amazing it was like hanging out with your friends all the time. Would take this class again, I never missed a day.

Easy. you have to try to fail this course. Literally. I left the class with 106% and I did not see a single student fail the course.

Easy class. Great teacher! Makes you do a couple of silly excercises, but it's too help you be a little more out there! Learned a lot from this class and I am shy! There is weekly journals, exercises, reports and a group presentation! Easy class to get a passing grade on. Attendance mandatory. She remembers names w faces. Fantastic teacher. Easy exercises, journals, and tests. Very polite, and great at explaining. There are group projects along with individual projects which are fairly easy. Guarantee you will enjoy her class. I recommend this teacher. :)

Ms. White is fantastic. She is very helpful and is quite caring of her students. There are 4 speeches and 2 tests (at least in the Summer). The speeches are not hard, just follow the rubric. The tests are exactly like her study guide. Be prepared to shed some tears and share laughs with your class. The class gets comfortable with each other quickly

Her lectures are full of real life lessons that inspire and can make you a better person. She has great stories and makes people feel at home even in a classroom. Professor White is literally one of the most caring people I've ever met. During her class, I was going though things in my personal life and Professor White was so understanding and I respect her for that. She gets to know her students on a human level. Very great story teller. This class was so easy and I left feeling like a better person.

Shes a great teacher definitely worth taking, if youre scared of taking public speaking she is definitely the way to go. She makes it so easy and comfortable, gives good feedback to help people improve and she really cares about her students . 4 speeches total and two tests that are easy with study guides provided .

She goes over every question on each study guide which are nearly word for word from the tests include the final. She'd even tell you to cross off questions that will not be on the test. TONS of extra credit. Group project is to just talk about a movie using her list of vocabulary words. Overall, no text required and will take again.

Honestly one of the best professors on campus. Four speeches(tribute, informative, persuasive, impromptu), one midterm, & one final. She provides study guides for the tests which make it super easy if you study. You don't really need the book. She's so kind & remembers every one of her students by name. Lots of interaction with classmates.

Ms. White is one of the best teachers I've had in my community college experience! Very nice, caring, remembers all student's names, heavy class interaction among students, which helps us all feel comfortable with one another. Sometimes rare cheesy activities, and little group work but its all easy. 4 speeches, and she is always there to help :)

Public speaking can be very intimidating, but professor White makes you feel comfortable! Trust me I have avoided this class for more than 10 years. YES 10 YEARS!! (On and off schooling). Im so glad I took COM 1 with her! You can use the book to study but she gives you 2 study guides for test. 4 speeches, 1 EASY midterm, 1 EASY final! TAKE HER!

Such a nice professor. One of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Three 6-8 minute speeches and you get to take your paper up. Gives you the answers to midterm and final, just study them. A textbook is required for the class but isn't needed. Thoroughly enjoyed her class. She's very lenient so there's no reason why you shouldn't get an A.

Professor White is such a kind and caring professor, really wants everyone to pass. 10 Journal assignments and a few written assignments, but none are too difficult. One group presentation. Study guide gives you all of the answers for midterm and final. You will be involved in group discussions often, small groups. Would definitely take again!

My mom left us years ago and I had forgotten what it was like to a kind motherly figure to support you. Professor White reminded me of that all over again. For the time that I took her, she has provided not only academic support but went beyond with emotional support as well. She is a true gem who helps you see the positives in everything.
