She's a very nice prof. who knows her field well. Explains the material clearly, but her tests are difficult. Harsh grader.

Depsite common belief, Dr. Zellner is by far the most clear and straight forward professor i've taken at this university. Even though it was a difficult course I actually learned and retained knowledge, there fore i'm taking my favortie prof. again!

tests u on what she says shes going to. i remember alot from her class. a good teacher, helps you understand things. doesnt let u get away with not knowing stuff. i would recommend her to anyone who is interested in psych. it will help u in the future.

Dr. Zellner is a good woman. You learn alot in her class but she is a very hard grader. I know majority of my class failed despite the enormous amount of time put into it. Take her ro learn not to pass!

Dr. Zellner is blunt & to the point - if you're looking to b.s. she ain't the one - what you see is what you get - take her class seriously, put in the work, & you'll enjoy it - she's flexible, communicative & yes, even warm-hearted!

Dr Zellner is one of the best teachers I have had in my college career. If you take her class, you will learn and retain far more than with other mediocre professors for the simple reasons that she actually has expectations of students. If you did poorly in her class you most likely deserved it. A+

This is a hard class, but Dr. Zellner explains everything in as many ways as it takes for you to understand. Her tests are hard, but I have learned alot in this class. Don't take one of her classes if you're not willing to work hard. If you show up for class,take good notes,and study,you'll be fine.

This was definitely not an easy class, but she is very helpful. One of the best Professors in the school. After every Chapter there is a quiz but she is very lenient in grading. Her system of teaching is very helpful, you just need to show her that you care about the class.

This lady gives you your money's worth. She goes into intricate details so its hard to get an exceptional grade. If you have a full plate, i.e., f/t job, kids, 12 credits to take simultaneously, do not take her!! You'll waste your time, her time, and most importantly, you may hurt your gpa & lose $$

By far the best professor I have ever had at MSU. She is a tough professor, but a phenomenal one. She is always there to help you when you need it. A study guide is given for every test so as long as you know the material, you will be fine. I am looking forward to taking other classes with her!

people said she was hard, but she is very easygoing..take good notes and study them and you'll be good for the exams..she gives study guides and tons of examples to clarify anything you dont understand..i definetly recommend taking her

This professor is the greatest prof Ive had thus far @ MSU! She is really clear and always gives study guides which are always on the test..She realy gets you interested in psych and time flies by in her class..I really recommend her cuz I sure will be takin another class with her

I had her for psych II and she was easy as long as u come to class and take notes you can easily get an A on her test. Yes they are essay but the reviews cover everything. She has great stories of experiments for everything & you definitely learn alot in her class

Hard class! There is a quiz after every chapter--read the chapter on your own too! Don't just rely on what's in class! 2 papers. She is VERY picky so go to her for help or you won't do well on the papers!!

Okay ppl listne up...she is freaking great. I had her fall 05 and this woman is not only caring but also knows what she is saying (which doesn't happen a lot).Just pay attn: stop thinking that everything is suppose to just come to you READ and LISTEN that is it.Talk to the wmn sure she makes some ppl feel dumb guess what in the real world it occurs

If you don't mind working hard, you'll do fine. Though "working hard" may be interpreted differently by diff students...some people are used to getting A's for minimal or moderate effort. In a class with Zellner only the cream rises to the top. If you're not a top performer, you'll probably get frustrated, defensive, pissed then attack her teaching

I don't like experimental psych. I very much hate it. However, Dr. Zellner is a good professor if you are or ever will be interested in it. She is willing to help you, specially if you like very good food. So, to sum it up, take her if you have interest in it. If you don't, take Dr. Adams, but NO ONE ELSE!!

GREAT teacher! was told not to take and went for it anyway...yes the class is hard, but she teaches it well and gives a clear understanding as to what she wants. i would def take her again, and i can say ive learned a ton from this course. be prepared to EARN your grade!

AWESOME PROF! She takes the study guides and uses them as her tests. She goes a bit fast, so if you have a laptop, use it. Her teaching methods are great and she says CRAZY things to help you remember. She started moaning like crazy and said "BOOM, ASLEEP". And that's how i remembered what narcolepsy was. She's awesome, def take her class.

I really enjoyed Prof Zellner. Her classes were fun and I never felt bored. I learned a lot from her but some how failed her class. Her exams are all essays ,she does not require attendance but I highly recommend that you go to her class as well as read the chapters. I believe that I learned from but did not get her testing method. Good luck..

Zellner class is not hard and she is helpful but she grades very hard. I did well on the quizzes and and mid term however she fails me. My suggestion is to be very careful with her.

Good psychology professor. Study, spend time doing the paper, and you will get a good/decent grade. I am not sure how people can say she is not respectful or helpful when she had many office hours during the semester for her students.

I am a Psych minor and learned more in her 101 class then I did in any other at MSU. She is hard but if you are not lazy, read the book and use the study guide you will be fine. She really knows her stuff and gives tons examples from her personal research. Go to class, read, study and you will get an A!

I don't think this class was hard at all, yes a lot of people did bad in the class. But honestly if you do the study guide and read the sections in the book you're going to do well. The review says exactly whats going to be on the test. Note: not all of the materials on the study guide are on the test. NO PAPER for this class.

If you want to gain knowledge instead of earning easy credits, you should definitely take her! You`ll remember a bunch of things. Her explanations are crystal clear, she makes it really easy to understand the topic. She is very helpful, especially during her office hours. By far the best professor I`ve had at MSU. Zellner is difficult. Know that right off the bat. She makes you WORK for your grade, but isn't that how college classes should be? Took her two semesters in a row for two different classes and LOVED her. Made it out with two B's and I felt so accomplished. I recommend her if you truly want to learn some psychology.

Yes she's difficult and if you're not naturally good at studying or just used to it, you'll do horribly. Go to every class because it helps you understand. Get the book. Use it to answer the study guide questions for the 3 exams. Those are your grades. Always provide every detail you can offer. She offers a makeup exam to replace your lowest score.

Dr. Z is LEGIT. The way the test is designed, your FORCED to learn. By far the smartest woman I ever met. She is the toughest professor I ever had, but I must admit, if you do the right thing in that class, like study(you have no choice) you will do well. I never knew what it meant to "study" until i had Dr. Zellner. So glad I took her class!

She is a funny person. I enjoyed her class, to me, her class was easy. I didn't even read the book and I got an A. She explains everything in class that you need for the quiz/test. She does give a lot of quiz but their all simple.

Dr. Zellner makes you work. You have to study and pay attention in her class in order to do good. Attendance not mandatory but there is a Quiz almost every class... also 1 exam and 1 research paper which requires A LOT OF WORK AND PREPARATION.. She is nice but very tough. I learned a whole lot. Got a B.

She knows what she's talking about, but comes off rough at first. She's actually pretty nice, but wants you to back up your answers and explain your logic. She gives pop quizzes, not too hard but if she notices that a lot of people are absent, she'll give one. I liked her and she tells stories about her various research that are entertaining.

She is a great professor, very smart. If you are not lazy you will learn a lot. People that don't do well on her tests, don't follow he advice on how she wants you to answer. Hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures are actually interesting and make you want to learn. Pay attention, go to to class & take notes! Learn APA format because the paper due at the end is the most important part of the class! I got a B in the class, but it could have been an A if I had asked for help with the paper.

I managed to recieve a B in her class. I did stress out, only because i waited last minute to do the paper. She tells you exactly how she wants the paper done and you can also go to her office hours. If you are lazy do not take this class, you will have to work for your grade.

It was not an easy choice picking Dr. Zellner after all the negative reviews. But I decided to take a risk.I worked hard for every exam and spent sleepless nights writing a paper and after all managed to get a good grade. At times I felt uneasy asking her questions, but at the end I learned so much from her. I highly recommend her!

Hands down the best professor I've ever had. She is the most loving, funny, energetic, and simply down to earth professor. The way she presented the material was super interesting. You must work hard though. She will not let you pass with an easy "A". She is very fair and expects her students to show up to classes and study. Take her for sure.

Zellner is great for PSYC 203. She seems meaner than she actually is (probably to make sure students won't blow off her class), but she is professional and sometimes brings humor into her lecture. Attendance is optional but lectures are worth going to! She is a fair grader. Homework was consistent,but never too much to handle. Good teacher overall.

Must Attend to class, MUST PAY ATTENTION and if you're one of the students who skip class just because, don't bother taking this course. The book is not too expensive $90 or less, record her lectures(permission) and given study guide(30+ Q's). Do it before the review day! Exam is consist of 5Q's. 2 short end/ 2 long end/ 1 EC. No Hw or quiz. Good L
