I've taken this instructor last summer. Believe me I was all bent and out shlape! I've continued to take her class this fall and now my clothes fit better, I watch what I eat, and never been this spritual. Absolutely awesome instructor!!! My recommendations and approval for anyone taking her classes.
She'll work your a** off! Too fast to understand what she's saying sometimes. Just follow her movements.
Coach Bodner is totally fierce! She WILL work your ass off, but you know what, the rewards are well worth it. After each class I felt so much more relaxed and so energetic. Lost weight and gained muscle in just a few months. She is a lovely person as well, and is the only Phys Ed teacher who has motivated, as opposed to annoying me.
It's already been said, however; she is totally manic and never walks but rather bounces in to a room. She will work your butt off however it is totally worth it. She wants you to learn, have fun and be able to do more at the end than you could in the beginning. Aint nothing wrong with that. Great teacher!
Each year ~ I noticed she announces to the class that she's only 21. LOL! I've been in her Yoga class consistently for almost 2 years now, and SHE IS awesome! When I first enrolled in her class I wore a size 8, now I'm down to a size 6 and I am still taking her class again in Spring.
She is a really good teacher! The only minor complaint I have is that she could hold the poses a bit longer, and focus more on quality in front of quantity. Still, definitly take yoga from her!
Bodnar is amazing, she's funny (not JUST funny, FRIGGIN HILARIOUS), FULL of energy, keeps you motivated and won't let you give up. She has a story for everything. I didn't even have to buy a book, just take notes and attend class. Definitely worth it ;D
She is the best in the cardio kickboxing class. Just bring your lazy butt to class and put forth effort and that will be enough for the A!!!! Great Class and Highly Enjoyed it!!

Cardio strength training. If you go to class and put forth half the effort that she does, your gonna see some results. She rocks, her class was fun and one hell of a work out. Id take her again for sure. Some ppl in the class had 2 of her classes back 2 back. This is what all pe classes should be like. :)
I took her cardio kickboxing a few times as well as her volleyball class. She is extremely dedicated and excited about teaching. Kickboxing is tough but worth it its a good workout. and volleyball is my sport so i really enjoyed the class.

The step aerobics class was really fun! I NEVER dance, but I had a really good time learning the different routines for this class. Don't worry about your size or physically ability, the class starts off easy and goes on from there, just try not to miss more than like 4 days in the semester. Also the final is a group routine but it was easy.
She's an awesome teacher. I'm taking Yoga and so far she's great. Nice, approachable, friendly, caring, honest, and dedicated. You don't have to buy any books, or any materialsequipment. Just show up in your workout clothes (you take your shoes and socks off so don't worry about footwear).
One of the best work outs in my life, and that's saying a lot. She pushes students and you definitely leave sore every class. Probably the best physical Ed teachercoachtrainer at city.

Coach Bodnar makes learning and practicing yoga for the first time truly amazing. Be ready to be pushed. She is amazing when it comes to lectures which happen once a week. Quizes every blue moon, and there is a final. She makes yoga so much fun. Coach take yoga to a new level by adding in some cardio and weights into the class to. Loved it.
Best volleyball coach!! Even if you have never played volleyball in your life, she will teach you and make you have fun in class.
I took Coach Dede during Intersession, I was able to do all of the book assignments during the 2 week trial; she lets you work ahead so you don't have to pay for the book. she gives you extra credit just by signing up for an exercise science class. She also gives you heads up of how many points you are away to getting an A. very good teacher.
I took Coach Bodnar s online health 101 class and she is a awesome instructor. In my opinion, she is a more then a teacher. She is friendly, caring about her students learning and grades, and encourage her students to be prepare when exams, or quizzes are approaching. She will also gives extra credits to boost your grades if you have low grades.
I took coach Bodnar this fall for health and although it was super fast paced she was very lenient which was for sure needed during these times. She offers extra credit and gives good feedback on all assignments. I wish I took her class in person- I know I would have enjoyed it with her :)
I took this course online this past fall, and it was great. Coach Bodnar is clear with what she expects and very helpful. She provides excellent feedback on assignments and is always available for help. The pace of the course is just right, and I would recommend this class to anyone.
I took this class and didn't know it was condensed until after I had started! Prof. Bodnar was very helpful with all the questions i had. (which were a lot) Not to mention i had some technical difficulties and she was accommodating& understanding. It really helped me stay positive. And being my first online class, she gave a great experience!

This class was my first class ever taken at City College, with professor Bodnar, she gave me a whole new vision on health, with her modules, she has helped me learn so much on how to take care of my body within 4 weeks of the semester. She is truly the best health professor out there in SD.
This professor was so persistent in helping me through out this course. During COVID-19 we experienced some technical difficulties with quizes and assignments. Professor Bodner, tried and tried again to make sure I was able to get my work done and contacting tech support. Overall very positive course and she is truly a professor I will miss.
I like how assignment can be done earlier than they're due. I find it very helpful and more relaxing knowing I got next week work done already. One thing I dislike is discussion, I'm just the type of indivuial who likes to be do work on their own. I would like if there was an alternative to this, gives us a choice. I feel like I did learn a lot.

The class was overall very enjoyable- it contains a lot of useful information that everyone will need to use in the long run. The professor gives really good feedback and you can tell she really cares about her students! Another thing I liked was the professor's response time! I would recommend this class and this professor.
Coach Bodnar took over my class from another teacher. She pulled the class out of a nosedive in record time, it was very impressive. I'm sure it was not her first choice, but she still seemed like she really cared about us and took the time to read and respond to everything.
I took this class online for only half of a semester, but there was so much valueable information provided. The class was relatively simple, but still provided a decent amount of work to do. Coach Bodnar's canvas page was very easy to navigate, and the assignments were never confusing.

Coach Dede Bodnar is one of the best professors I've had at City she is very sweet and understanding, and encourages her students to do better. This professor is very easy grading, you just need to turn in your work and you will get a good grade in the class and if you have any questions she is very accessible through email.
This class was so fun. Zoom lecture was not mandatory but you had to do a journal if you didn't show. The volleyball practice was on the beach and it was a blast. Overall super fun teacher and I learned a lot.

This class ended in 4 weeks so no time to slack and get ready to read. Of course you are not alone, the professor was available at anytime, she will get back to you though email really fast. The class in general is easy, but you need to put effort to pass and to get that A.
Coach Bodnar made it easy for us to understand the grading syllabus. Took a four week class so expect a lot of assignments to do every week. She mentions that the test revolve around the textbooks. Also gave extra credit.

I like that all tests are multiple choice and everything is in the book. I dont have anything bad to say about the class, except that I didnt get to meet the professor in person, seems like a very nice person who cares about the students. Coach Bodnar was very fast paced since it was only 4 weeks, but def very doable if you do one assignment a day. Coach Bodnar is very encouraging and constantly sent reminders for important things so you are always on top of your work. Would 100% take another course with her.

Something I liked most about this class was how educational and interesting the content is. What I liked least would be how fast past it is. If I would change something it would be adding more videos learning content. I learned a lot from this class. Overall, I enjoyed it.
I liked this class because of how informative and accessible the text was ;I was able to download the app and study on my phone or practice flashcards. Coach Bodnar is very helpful when you need help or have a problem, when I had trouble accessing my assignments she responded quickly and followed up after to make sure everything was okay.

She is an amazing professor. I didn't know when signing up to this class that it was only 8 weeks, so be ready to read a lot. She grades really fast and will comment on every assignment you do and will tell you what you did wrong or right and let you re do it. If you do all the assignments you will get an A. There's no way you could fail her class.

This is my second online class with Coach Bodnar. She always gives good feedback on every single assignment, and encourages students to keep going. She's personable and seems to really care about student success and personal growth. Not an easy A, it will take good participation, but I would definitely recommend and take her again!
My favorite part of this class is fully online, and the professor is excellent at replying to your email, plus the homework and test are not that hard and the professors will always remind you of your assignments so you won't miss any homework or test.

Professor Bodnar wants you to pass her class. She gives extensions on uncompleted work so theres no room for error if you just do the work. and extra credit is available. Lots of reading/ quizzes / and tests.
Professor Bodnar, gives extra credit and the quizzes are exactly what came from the reading so just read the assigned chapters and you will pass all your tests .
Coach B cares about your participation and success, provides encouragement, feedback, and opportunities for extra credit. I chose online learning for this class. Coach B has positive energy, and her motivation would be more impactful to me in person/real-time rather than online. I learned a lot about health and enjoyed this class. Highly recommend!
Professor Dede Bodnar is efficient and helpful in motivating students constantly, remanding assessments, and showing us how to complete tasks quickly and easily. what I like most about it is that I enjoyed everything about it, but I particularly enjoy working on the dissolution projects and using the Study Area to watch videos and animations.

Professor Bodnar is one of the most genuine and better professors I've taken in my life. She provides thorough instructions and has realistic expectations from all the students. There was a lot of reading and writing involved in the class, but if you do the reading, discussions, and writing assignments then you won't have an issue with the class!

Coach Bodnar is really great on feedback to assignments and will respond to any questions or concerns within a day or, if it's the weekend on the following day classes are in session. The assignments and homework are not just busy work but, useful to the everyday as well as professional life. You should be ready to read a modest amount and write.

This was a great class requirement to take for a degree because the professor makes it able to not only finish but finish with a decent grade.
What I liked most was the interesting material and engaging instructor. The topics were fascinating and the teacher really made the content come alive. If I could change one thing about the class, I would include more opportunities for hands-on application of the material through projects, labs, or discussions.
This was a 4 week class that required to complete a lot of homework. Be prepared to read!!! Required to complete a series 17 pre-testing modules and six tests. Professor grades on a curve, as well. Overall, an ok class.
Always given extra time for assignments that are overdue and 2 extra credit assignments.

Very reasonable class! homework was easy to complete, and Prof. Bodnar really shows that she cares about her students. Good amount of extra credit, and opportunity to submit missed assignments. The Course goes by super quick, so be sure to keep up with the assignments and you'll be fine.

Coach Bodnar is fun and very positive. The course is very heavy on discussion boards and participation between students, sometimes to such an extent feedback feels insincere. Overall though I found the workout logs a nice challenge and am happy to have taken the course.

I liked the self-paced nature of the class with accessible assignments. Yet, its short duration hindered retention. More discussion tasks over textbook questions would improve engagement. Though enjoyable, the informal textbook didn't aid retention much. Overall, I'd recommend it to others. Coach dede was great :-)

This class was a short term online class and all the material was very doable in the time frame given. Coach Bodnar is extremely communicative and quick to respond, allowing for extensions and extra credit opportunities. The only thing I disliked was the use of Pearson which I hate with a passion, but it was super easy & informative tbh!
She loves what she does. I can't say that I didn't like anything about this class, as this is the 2nd time I have taken one of her classes. I wouldn't change anything about the class. I loved being able to be outside & interact with my kids while doing schoolwork. I learned a lot more about exercising. Yes, I enjoyed this class very much.
Professor Bodnar is amazing, she's always accommodating and encouraging. Next time I might take this class in person, I think I would enjoy it as a hybrid class. I would change it to a Hybrid Format for an interactive component. So far, I have learned so many things I did not know about the human body!

I really liked that Coach Dede seems to really enjoy what she does and the passion for fitness shows. I don't have anything negative to say about the class or teaching methods. I would take this instructor again. I learned a lot in this class for example, I learned about my body and what it takes to maintain it. Overall i did enjoy the class.
