A&P: awesome teacher,very helpful, animated!

Dee Sato is a superior and effective instructor. There is a lot of work in her class but she is very clear about her expectations.

A&P is a hard class. I've tried taking it with other instructors but I always dropped. Sato made it a little easier. Her lecture is long but her voice isn't monotone so it isn't hard to stay awake. She's very approachable. She lets you use a little cheat card for the test too.

Dee is awesome! A & P is a hard class, but with Dee Sato as your instructor, you will get through it and probably do better than you thought possible! She's one of the best teachers i've had and will always help you and give you lots of one on one time. Overall, she's a great person who really cares about her students and wants them to succeed.

Professor Sato is a great teacher. Her study guides and lectures are very helpful, and you don't need to do any extra studying on the side to pass the tests (in my case).

Before I take this class, I heard everyone said this is a very hard class .... I wish that I could just pass this class with a "C" so I don't have to take it again, but after I take this class.... I got an "A". I feel smarter after I finish this class ... because Ms Sato make it so clear and not that hard at all. You NEED TO STUDY TO GET YOUR GRADE

very fresh, fun, and seemed to genuinely love her job. Ms. Sato was able to turn subject matter that was potentially dry and uninteresting to stimulating and fun.

I can honestly say, this teacher loves her job. She is fun and also very helpful. Her test aren't really easy, but she makes packets for each test for her students. (she goes over a couple pages each class, and fill out the packet with you) So all you have to do is study that packet and you are pretty much set.

Awesome teacher. She gives very clear lectures and is very organized. I am going to take her for Anatomy & Physiology because her teaching method is the best. Her quiz ?'s come right from the workbook mastery test ?'s, also, she gives a study guide well before every test so you know what to study. Loved her!

Ms Sato is the most enthusiastic Lab instructor, ever! She doesn't hold back in showing her love for Science/Biology! She has a way with keeping students interested. And she is straight-forward and fair! She is a must when it comes to Bio-Lab instructors. I highly recommend her!

She teaches anatomy lab. She is a great teacher and willing to help you. I wish she had taught lecture; my life would have been a lot easier. She tells you what to know for quizzes and makes them fair. She won't trick you or surprise you with any pop quizzes. Just make sure you attend class. Take her you will not regret it.

Miss Sato absolutely loves her job and she is dedicated to making sure we understand the subject. A&P is NOT an easy class. You will have to study at least a couple of hours a day to ace her tests. Lab quizzes are straight from the manual. Lecture tests are the most difficult but study study study! Don't be afraid to ask questions!

She's amazing! The best biology teacher I have ever had, I took her class 2 years ago and I still remember what Iv'e learned from it. It helped me with my Anatomy and Physiology classes that I took later on.

Professor Sato is a must have!! She is dedicated to her work and ger students. She gives you a study guide for each of the tests along with 5 essay questions that you prepare ahead of time because she will pick 2 on the test. Not an easy class, but if you study you will get a good grade. She has 5 lecture tests and 4 lab exams.

Dee is a great & helpful professor. It's difficult to get A's on her Lecture Exams you need to know the material well. The lab quizzes/exams may seem easier than the lectures but you will need to attend the labs & don't leave early. Take advantage of her website postings for lab & lecture & gain extra credit pts for going to SI study group.

Ms. Sato is by far the best teacher I have ever had. I took her Anatomy 41 class at Long Beach a few years ago. She is very insightful, enthusiatic, and clear, and she wants you to pass. Please, please come back to Long Beach Ms. Sato. We don't have any A&P teachers that can ever compare to you!!!

If you just want to pass then study the exam figures and study the master test questions. I was working full-time while attending summer school and was still able to get a "B" in the class. She explains her subject well and there was a lot of easy points if you are willing to attend class. It was hard to concentrate at times since she's so hot.

My God, Ms. Sato is Such an Amazing Professor, I went into the class not knowing what to expect, and left with a whole new appreciation for Human Anatomy and Physiology. Prior to this I had zero interest in Bio I'm talking Zero, My major was the absolute opposite, I came out with an A, this grade is only acquired by reading the material every day

I just had bio 210 with ms. sato, ofcourse the subject is hard, but you should do fine as long as you go through the study guide and lecture notes. Don't buy the book because you won't need it except for filling out the study which for exam. Again, she's nice and helpful, subject is hard, so please study hard. if you fail her class, you're loser!

Took her class over the summer at an accelerated pace. She's well organized, clear and enthusiastic when presenting her lectures. Involves memorization and the study guide helped. I didn't really read the text, just referenced the diagrams online and on her website. Haven't received the final score, but so far was getting an A.

I took her in Spring '09. I had a wonderful experience. I got an A but had to work very hard for it. Book was not mandatory, but her quizzes were based on her handouts. The exam review handout was helpful because it covered everything on the exam. I highly recommend her if you want to learn something.

I took this class Fall 08 and Ms. Sato is extremely helpful and makes A&P very understandable. I just read the packets and studied the online diagrams. I rarely used the textbook. Make sure you make time for studying and attending class is very important. I got an A and I'm not super smart. I truly enjoyed the class!!

She is such a wonderful teacher. All teachers should be like her. She wants you to pass, helps her students and you can tell she loves to teach. She is very approachable and almost everything you need to know for the test is in her notes. Extra credit is given.

Took online bio 160 with Dr. Gober and Dee Sato...GREAT teaching team. Exteremely helpful and caring about their students. Always anwsers your questions in a timely manner. Quizzes and fairly easy exams are bit tougher..studying needed- no cramming. Great class for A&P when you can't get them!

GREAT teacher! This is a very hard class, tons of studying, but she is very organized and explains things in a way that is easier for students to understand. She is always available to help, and she gives extra credit assignments. I got an A, but worked my butt off for it!

The most AMAZING teacher ever!! If you have the chance take her. She explains very well and is very helpful. The subject is hard so you need to study but she explains the material very throughly.Class had three exams and study guides that you needed to turn in. Do the work study and you'll pass. Ms. Sato is a very nice teacher. She prepared us well for when we move on to higher anatomy/physiology courses. She is also EXTREMELY beautiful. She'll answer individual questions before, during, and after class. If you are in any health/medical/bio field, take her!

She's a great teacher. She really tries to make sure you understand the material, and will fully explain any questions. The tests are really hard unless you study. Although the homework is extremely easy and lots of extra credit available. I recommend this teacher if you're willing to study.

She is one of those professors that actually have a passion for the subject they teach. The notes are mostly printed out for you and you fill in the blanks with her as she lectures. She is very helpful, clear, nice, and quirky (which kept me entertained). Do all the work and study the material and you'll get an A (just like all classes).

I went into the class not knowing much about bio. I took the hybrid class. She is a great teacher! She explains everything so well and is very helpful. She tells you which figures are on the exam so you really can considerate on studying those. Loved the class. Easy A if you read and try.

Dee is the SWEETEST and fun professor on campus. Once the semester gets started you will immediately feel as if she is one of your closest friends. Her work can get challenging but she pushes you and really gets you studying. I received an 'A' and worked my butt off! You can too. Take her, you won't regret it.

I took Ms Sato for both Bio 160 and Bio 210. The class is very hard. with alot of studying and attendance you can receive an A . work hard and study hard. i really enjoyed listening to ms sato, she loves her job and loves to help her students. if you have to take bio- i definitely recommend ms sato. i loved her class

I wish she taught all bio classes! She organizes everything for you from lecture notes&study guides from the custom pack you MUST BUY in order to pass. Her exams are based on the study guide questions so memorize them well and you'll get an A. She breaks down the material so easily, I actually felt like I was learning rather than studying to get by

I am currently taking this class HYBRID biology. I love that she has notes she provides for lecture it's fill in the blank; it helps you focus in class. You can see how enthusiastic she is in class about the subject. I have an A in the class and I love going to class. Exam is on study guide questions all. Study and review those questions and pass.

The class is fairly easy so as long as you do your homework and study. Most of the time is spent on listening to lectures and assignments are usually online and due before 10PM. Notes cannot be done on laptops(they're not allowed). She gives you notes to print out(40-50 pages) and you fill in the blanks(not very many blanks).

Prof. Sato's probably one of the best professors I ever had. Her passion to teach is so contagious; she truly cares for students. I do regret that I did not take her class seriously or I would have gotten that A. She's so great at explaining, even down to the last detail. She is always willing to help you and even help you through your weaknesses.

She is really amazing and the sweetest professor. She is very passionate in a&p. Really took the time to break down the materials for students to understand easily. Always there for her students. Getting an A is possible if you work hard and study the study guide.

You can tell that she is passionate about the subject she teaches. Weekly assignments are online. She provides fill-in-the-blank notes that you have to print out and bring to class so you can fill it out during lecture. Tests are exactly like the study guide, she doesn't pull any tricks. Responds quick and goes over test during office hours

She's an amazing professor and very sweet. She's so knowledgeable in Biology and really knows how to teach. I recommend her for Bio102 and she does offer extra credit. The study guides are same as the tests too.

Easy A if you just show up and listin to the lectures. Very helpful and quick to grade your homework/class work. Willing to work with you and answer your questions the best she can. Great oportunities for Extra credit. Please read your book and study.

I'm not a science person, but with her lectures I was able to learn and enjoy taking her class. It is a fair amount of work that needs to be done in order to pass or get an A. You do need to study for the exams but she does give study guides which are great. I did not find this class difficult at all! Definitely recommend her 100%

Overall one of the best professors on the campus. If you miss one exam its over, you take 3 exam all semester so you cant miss any. Homework is a must, or you fail. but her teaching methods are pleasurable for all. a great class just make sure you do the homework and study to pass.

PHENOMENAL. A&P is notorious for being one of the most difficult courses offered at Cypress and she does everything in her power to make sure you pass. Dee is always on time with a smile on her face, giving the most straight forward lectures and offering multiple resources to help you succeed. Show up, listen, study hard, and you will earn the A.

I took it during the summer and it's really easy! It's a hybrid class so you take notes in class and do homework online using the McGraw-Hill Connect which is $90. You basically have to print out the powerpoint notes and fill it out. There are study guides to help you. A total of 3 exams, a few easy class work, NO QUIZZES, and few extra credit!

An angel from heaven. If your not an idiot, you cannot fail this class. Just study the study guides and notes she gives out to you. I studied about 30min? a day in her class and got an A. Ridiculously easy and fun class.

I took Professor Sato's five week summer course for Integrated Medical Science and her teaching techniques and lectures made learning the subject matter feel second nature. Clear and concise grading curriculum, enthusiastic demeanor, and passionate about her students... I can't praise Professor Sato enough. You will not regret enrolling with her.

Ms. Sato is amazing. Her physiology portion was pretty hard for me, but I eventually came up with a study method that worked for me. Her Anatomy Portion is pure memorization, but it was fun. She gives excellent feedback and is more than willing to answer your question. I can tell it was worth it because I got a lot of questions on jeopardy right :)

Phenomenal professor! Biology was really hard for me, but her lectures are really thorough and informative. There are 3 exams throughout the entire semester; She provides study guides for all 3 and lets you know exactly what is going to be in the test. Definitely not an easy class but very worth while. I learned so much from Professor Sato!

This class is difficult but Professor Sato really makes it as easy as she can for you. Shes always very enthusiastic and you can tell she loves what she does. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities so take advantage of it. The only way to fail is by not trying. I would definitely recommend Prof Sato. Shes the best!

I have to say that I hated Bio even in my first language. But this lady changed that mentality. Bio can be fun. When she was giving lectures, I felt like she was "dancing" because of how much body movements she used to demonstrate. Thank you for being so inspirational, Ms. Sato!

Exams are 100% based on the study guides, which are based on the readings. She provides further clarification of the readings in her lectures, so if you struggle with the readings you need to go to class. She has a clear passion for biology and is able to convey concepts effectively.

Professor Dee is amazing!!!!! I had taken this class in a previous year with a different professor and it was the worst experience. I decided to give the class one more try and I can honestly say I LOVED IT. Shes so passionate about the subject unlike other monotone professors. Its not an easy class, but shell do her best to help you pass.

TAKE HER. I'm not a bio person at all, yet I have an A in her class. Her study guides are so detailed and helpful. You never have to question what's going to be on her exam. She's extremely nice & always willing to help. It's a difficult, memorization heavy class, but she definitely makes it better with her tips and tricks!

Honestly she is the best professor I ever taken at Cypress College. She made Human Biology so simple and clean!! Take her! She is a sweetheart and humble too. Her study guides are exactly like her exams and her extra credits bumped your grades. It was my last semester here and she made my last semester end well!! :)

Amazing professor, definitely a difficult class due to the material but her teaching method helps a lot. The study guides help too. I knew NOTHING about anatomy/ physiology going into the class but I worked hard and got an A. Not an easy class but best professor to take it with. Always willing to help.

The best teacher in the bio dept! I really appreciated her lectures, her teaching style, her encouragement, her feedback and her seamless transition to online due to the pandemic. She's wonderful! Memorization heavy class. You must study and do all the homework and extra credit. She has helpful pre-printed notes/study guide packet. Free textbook.

With the pandemic I was nervous about taking an online biology class, but I honestly couldn't have asked for a better teacher. Canvas is set up well and is easy to use, her lectures are super detailed/thorough, you can do the homework as many times as you'd like before the due date, and the study guides fully prepare you for the exams. 11/10

Hands down my favorite professor taken thus far. She gives you all the material you will need to succeed but you MUST study. Half of the exams were multiple choice, other half was fill-in. No word bank! Lots to memorize. She responds to emails very quickly and is a fast grader. There are small EC opportunities.

Best anatomy professor in the district! And this is coming from some whos taken this class 3 times previously. Very clear & simplified lectures, basically youll know exactly what is on the exams. The assignments are super helpful. Amazing & caring professor!

Prof Dee is one of the sweetest professors at Cypress. You can really tell she loves what she teaches and always comes to you when you have a question. You have to study in order to pass, her tests are lengthy. However, she doesnt throw out any curve balls and have detailed study guides for us to fill out. I ended with a B and studied a lot.

Professor Dee is really sweet and knows her stuff! Tests are very detailed but as long as you do the homework and study the practice homework you can get a good grade. Only meets once a week in person and the lectures are interesting and very detailed to ensure everyone understands.

First, This class is very challenging to begin with. If you hope for an easy A with less work, this class is not for you. If you do not go all in or try your best and have to withdraw or fail, it's all on you, not the professor. Prof Dee is an excellent teacher. She wants to help you succeed.

Secondly, if you study a little bit every day, you'll learn a lot. There are 4 lab exams and 4 lecture exams. You'll get study guides and practice until you understand them. Yes, She also has a "tutor" you can visit if needed. She loves to give extra credits so show up and do your best. Any class with her name on it, I'm in.

Lastly, Don't take this class if you aren't going to do your best. She always has a waitlist of people who really want to take her class but can't because she only accepts a certain amount so she can focus and help everyone. It's not cool to complain about how hard the class is and give a good professor a low rating.

Great professor if your looking for a good A&P teacher definitely has study guides for lecture exam and lab is pretty straight forward if you have all your information down

She is such a great professor definitely take her course! For labs study the gallery slides they help a lot, and for lecture study the study guide and watch lecture videos. No homework and offers extra credit opportunities for both lab and lectures.

There are no words can explain professor Dee, she is caring and very friendly. Amazing lecture , its a tough materials but she made you enjoy learning. 4 big exams during the semester 150 pts each. She offer an extra credit. Do favor to your self and take her class. She is awesome.

Literally the best class I have ever taken. I wish I could take her again for 210 but all the classes are taken so you know she's a good professor. Only downside was that she's very attractive and I kept getting distracted.

Professor Dee is amazing in her material, everything provided is just about you picking all the content. If you do not want to find yourself lost, go along step by step as she provides and be very attentive to everything. Dedicate quality of time to it as science itself is difficult.

so incredible and kind! please take her.4 lecture exams(but #1 is split into 2)= multiple choice+short answer. 4 lab exams=fill in. lots of extra credit. she explains so that you understand and remember. lecture has study guides that are all you need to know. lab also has good resources. study hard and you CAN do it. wish i could take her again :')

Prof Dee is an amazing A&P teacher who provides tons of resources to help you succeed. Though the class is challenging, her detailed study guides and enthusiastic teaching style make it very doable. unstuck study was a lifesaver for preparing for exams!

Although I passed this class while I worked a job, I REPEAT DO NOT take this class if you can't handle both. It's a lot of time management like never before.

Anatomy and Physiology is tough, but having such an amazing professor made it manageable. She offers lots of extra credit, keeps the class fun with coloring and group activities, and truly cares.
