Dr. Pal os a great math professor!

The professor is so great, so helpful. He is one of the best Math teachers i have ever had in my life. If you are taking any math class take him and belive me you will never regret it !!

Excellent teacher, the best math teacher I've had so far. Not an easy class but as long as you attend and study you'll do good. He helps with anything in class, even past sections.

Dr Pal, is an intelligent proffessor, he's a cool guy. On the otherhand if you want a easy teacher that will give you extra credit or bonus points good luck, cuz he's serious about his grading. It is what it is with him. Only god knows if he will give some empathy other than that he's real cool and he jokes alot!

I took Dr.Pal n I do agree he is very intelligent and nice... his test are out of this world if you don't do your homework do not take him!!!

Dr. Pal is a really funny guy, and will help you out all you need. I wish I took him for all my math classes so far. You really need to do your homework, although he does not collect it. Highly recommended if you do your homework.

Beware this is a hard class! You could be studying your butt off and still get a low grade, take it from some1 that studied for hours/day and still got D's on his tests! I learned so much but my grade is in the dumpster! He doesn't collect HW but if you dont do it, trust me- you'll fail! There are 5 tests and a final, he'll drop ur lowest grade!

"Be Aware", you will need to do your homework in this class. Very good teacher, but tests are only 20 questions apiece and multiple choice. 90% will get you a B, not an A

VERY intelligent and funny man, makes jokes all the time. The class is HARD, you will definitely fail if you don't study and do homework, he gives 5 20 multi-choice tests and drops the lowest grade, no reviews. VERY TOUGH and passionate about Math, uses real life examples to explain problems, you will learn a lot from this professor.

Dr. Pal is the nicest man you'll ever meet! He's a great teacher. Genuinely cares and tries to help his students. Passionate about math. His tests are quite hard and your grade depends on these. You might feel like no matter how hard you try, you'll never get a decent grade. But you will learn a lot. Great teacher.

Very challenging class and teacher, but you will learn a lot. Do all of your homework and focus on your tests because thats where all of your grades come from. Only take this class if you're willing to work hard, are able to devote many hours to homework, and want to learn. Lastly, KNOW YOUR COLLEGE ALGEBRA INSIDE & OUT, it will help you a lot!

This guy if funny and one of the best teachers i have ever taken. I recomend him very much.

For you people out there that cant handle pressure and dont have a backbone, keep truckin. This professor will make you work hard. I learned so much in his class, and beyond the math he is truly an inspiring person. He really cares about his students. Know your algebra inside and out. He cares alot about his students and he is very down to earth and funny!I would highly recommend him to anybody! Make sure you know your ALGEBRA and do your homework or you will fail miserably! If you want to learn math, this is the teacher for you. He has a true passion for math and knows his stuff and how to explain it. He's been doing it for many years. Tests are semi-hard, if you know how to do the homework, you'll be fine.

unbiases teacher. he tells it like it is so if you dont put any effort into it, he tells you that you are waisting your time and money. he gives real life applications to all the material learned so someone is not to say something stupid like, "where will i ever use this?" or "i'll never use this in life." Overall an excellent professor.

Dr. Pal has a Ph.D in Mathematics. For some of you how might like statistic only a VERY slight percentage of the population can brag about obtaining such degree. If you want to REALLY learn from an extremely knowledgeable person then take Dr. Pal. He is an excellent person and all that he asks for is respect.

Very difficult professor. very Smart and helpfil but HARD you need to be in class every day and do the homework for every chapter up to chapter 7 final is cumulative so its a tough one. take with extreme caution. you should be able to devote a lot of hours to the math lab and study time for the exams.

Dr. Pal is an awesome teacher. You must do homework in his class to keep up because he does not go over old sections. Tell a lot of jokes that are corny but funny, doesn't talk but yells lol which does keep u awake, and all his test are multiple choice, but all in all he is a great teacher and u will learn alot from him.

Dr. Pal is a great guy and you will have fun listening to him rant about everything. The only way you will pass this class is if you KNOW YOUR ALGEBRA! and study hard and do all of your homework. If you are lazy, or want an easy professor or grade, do not take him. If you want to learn and can devote time to his class, you will love it.

First of all, he does not give a "boost" to anyone, whether he likes you or not. Everyone is graded on their test scores only, no exceptions. He is an excellent professor, shows many examples. But, this class like every math class requires the student to do homework and study. If you can't handle that, don't worry Walmart always needs employees.

this teacher is very strict and to the point. if you dont do your homework, you can forget about passing this class. or like he says "ur up a creek w/o a paddle." at times he goes over so many sections in one day its hard to keep up, but if you do the hw u should be fine.

This professor, i have to admit is hard. If you don't know advance algebra then don't bother his calculus class before for sure you won't survive. Class grades are based heavily on exams only. Don't say he is a bad professor just because you are lazy and won't take the time to do the hw, simple as that. I passed his bus cal class fine...so stfu :D

if u dont know ur algebra skills im sorry for u =[... u have to know ur algebra and thats all.. he gives u 5 tests and he averages it out and thats ur final grade so basically wat u do on the tests thats wat u get... i recommend this teacher for anyone who wanna learn... also he likes doritos and he thinks they r sexy =] rofl.. good teacher!!!

he has about 5 chapter tests(one of them you can drop) and a copmprehensive final. each chapter tests has about 20 questions. also he teaches well but can be very moody. he falls asleep when we take testes which cna be distrubing becuase he snores! BUT i do reccomend him becuz he is nice and can be extremely funny when he's not moody

He goes through each problem step-by-step, the only problem is we run out of time and don't cover enough of each section. Didn't think it was fair that he didn't cover the last secion and but still put it on the final. No test reviews. Can be very funny when he's in a good mood. A better mood and test reviews would make his class much better.

It has been a year since i took this class and i wish i had a teacher as good Pal, his class is not easy but his outstanding teaching and your reasonable effort ie. HW should be all you need to pass with an A. You think this class is unreasonable, just wait till you transfer to a University, i promise you you will be "up a creek without a paddle"!!

I took his class over the summer and I am please to say that I got an A in the course. It is a lot of work, but its Calculus so what do you expect? As long as you are willing to put the work into it, you would do fine. He makes sure he teaches everthing completely. The only downside is that he falls asleep in class sometimes.

Dr. Pal is an amazing prof. he is passionate about math and is quite funny. The course is hard as hell, but its expected because of the subject. Homework is not graded but is a must if you want to pass.

Dr. Pal is an extraordinary professor. He makes it a point to engage each and every student in learning. He uses funny remarks and questions to keep the class involved and feel part of a team. Many students come to class not prepared or wanting to learn but he goes the extra step and holds each students attention, possibly changing their lives.

Dr.Pal helped the whole class pass or at least gives them a significant chance to. Gave an final exam that you couldn't make any easier with the review he gave for it. Others say he is hard possibly because they don't remember there algebra, thus of course it is going to be hard.

He is an amazing Math teacher. Math is HARD and takes practice. All of those who complain about him haven't quite grown up yet and need to realize this is the real world, and Dr. Pal introduces it to you in a number of ways. He loves teaching, and does an outstanding job doing so.

dr.Pal is definitely a character!when i first read this I expected the worst, but after having him this semester, he is an awesome teacher, he explains things really well; this is a hard class but if you study you can pass its not has impossible as he makes it seem. Youll love him or hate him, i guess i love him lol. Dont let him sike you ouT!

What a guy! Always mocking himself and loves to give real world examples. He is a PAIN at first and the class weeds out the first weeks of class, but given time, he is an amazing professor who genuinely has a passion for math and knows his subject. He is hard, yes, but if you'd actually like to learn, take his class!

Dr. pal is awesome for students moving on to calc. he explains his concepts clearly & methodically.You are expected to do the hw and to understand algebraic concepts taught in previous classes.Its not an easy A but you WILL learn.he is sarcastic and tough the 1st few weeks to weed out the weak so be prepared.

Really good teacher. He explains problems step by step in dept. Even though your whole grade is dependent on test scores, they are all multiple choice. So if you can't remember how to do a problem just fill in for X. People complain too much. The class is as easy as you make it.

This class requires work, doing ALL your homework, and many times reading the textbook on your own to fully understand concepts or learn some that he skips. The tests are multiple choice which could be bad or good. Prof. Pal is a really nice eccentric guy with a wacky sense of humor & he teaches quite well. I do not recommend the 6 week class.

Best math teacher I have had. He is strict and wants you to learn. That's what a teacher is supposed to be like. He teaches very well. The class is hard but we're not rating the class, we're rating the professor. He makes class worth going to.

A tough grader -- no bonus, extra credit all scantrons. BUT an excellent teacher. Dr. Pal is very organized and explains the process clearly often with his quirky humor. he writes out notes on the board along with solving problems. he also teaches how to use your calculator. however some may find him intimidating.

Well, he's a very good person. He tries to make class fun, but his jokes might not suit everyone's taste. His tests are hard! Do your homework and you'll pass. He takes 10 min at the beginning of the class for students to ask questions about hw. He also offers help during office hours. He might fall asleep during class, but he has sleep apnea...

Dr. Pal is an extremelly intelligent mathematician. If you wanna learn math, which implies you do all the work that needs to be done, he is one of the guys who are the most eager to teach. His attitude I guess derived from dealing with "BSrs" for a long time. He taught me a great deal and pushed me a lot. DONT LET HIM PSYCHE YOU OUT!!!

FUNNY GUY!GET READY!Tests are EXTREMELY hard, but mult.choice. He expects you to make math your world. He drops a test. You will cover all sections! You will be tested deeply. Sometimes he puts diff.eq problems. Hard huge decimal problems, lots of hard series, strange integrals, strange answers, weird problems that only math minds can solve/see.

Stop complaining and do the work. Four years after taking this class and completing my Master's i land a job in this tough economy. I had an awesome time with Dr. Pal. Be prepared to work, and you'll earn the grade you work for. There isn't enough time to thoroughly cover everything in class, but there are plenty of outside opportunities for help. He has a wonderful personality, making his classes fun. You will get frustrated, but it's worth it.

His class is not easy but he gives you all the tools you need to do well. His lectures cover the material in depth and his examples will prepare you for the exams. It may be hard but you will know the material inside and out. Just because you can't sit through hes class and get an easy A doesn't mean you shouldn't take his class.

The material is not easy, first class was intense and many students got scared and dropped out. It gets easier, professor Pal is hilarious, he makes a hard subject more understandable with his stories using pharaons or some other random things.I recommend him if you want to learn, no slacking there.

Take him if you don't consider yourself a math person . Professor Pal takes his time with each problem and shows everything step by step. He makes great handouts of notes that simplify the material. His take home tests will either save your life or be your downfall, depending on if you put time into them or not. Work hard and you will pass.

Profeessor Pal is an amazing teacher. He breaks the material down and really get into detail about what he is teaching. This was really helpful for me because my algebra and trig skills were not up to par but I was able to be very successful in the class. I did the outline homework and attended class. That's the winning formula for is class!!

This class is not easy. It requires a lot of studying and preparation. Professor Pal gave amazing lectures and I combined that with the homework to prepare for the test. Prof pal is a great teacher as he really takes the time to explain the concepts in thorough detail. If you get the concept, you get calculus, so he is a great professor to take if you need to go step by step. He gives take home tests, and you can group study on them. Best option if you are taking calculus first time, effort is a must, this is math.

Professor Pal is by far one of the best professors I have ever taken. He is extremely clear and fair on how to pass the class and truly wants you to succeed! Dr. Pal is one of the few gems at Valencia College. If you want to be prepared for University and actually care about getting educated you should take his class. He assigns homework but does not grade them (it is solely for your benefit- I highly recommend you do) and drops the lowest test grade. Take his class if you want to succeed in calculus.

I have taken Professor Pal for College Algebra, Pre- Calc, Calc 1, Calc 2 and all I can say is that if you actually care about math you should take him. He has given so many applicable real world examples, of what he teaches, why would you not want to take him. Also, he actually cares about your learning, and will motivate you to do your best.

Professor Pal is truly a great professor. He is a good guy and wants everyone to learn calculus. His grading policy is very simple and clear and half of your grade comes from just doing take-home assessments. His lectures included the applications of calculus along with some good humor. :)

Dr. Pal is great for college algebra. He gives you practice tests so you know exactly whats on the tests, and he breaks down every problems and makes sure everyone understands what's happening. I definitely reccomend him!

Great professor. He gives out practice tests that are exactly like the actual test. As long as you do the practice test several times, you'll do good on it. He doesn't assign homework, but it's a good idea to do the problems in MyMathLab anyway.

Professor Pal is an amazing professor. I failed last semester his class because I didn't put effort into the class and didn't take the opportunity of going to his office hours. I am retaking him because he is really good on the way he teaches and is passionate about it. He explains everything very clearly and makes sure you understand.

The way he shows how all the material covered in the class is applied in the real world will spark interest in students and make them appreciate mathematics. Professor Pal is an AMAZING professor. Professor Pal takes the time to explain all concepts and wants to be sure that his students have a thorough understanding of the subject. Pal is the gem of Valencia math department. Hes a genuinely good guy who cares about each of his students, which is rare. Extremely good at explaining complicated calc material, and always gives us the essential real world application. Pal makes a 2 hour calc class actually fairly fun to go to, and the whole class participates (family feel class)

Pal is a must-take if youre looking to take Calc. Caring guy whos great at his job. Also, the class itself is quite manageable. He doesnt collect homework, which is okay because every test has a take-home component (a lot of the points for the course are take home), and he drops your lowest test grade. Pal puts you in position to succeed

If you want to understand calculus, algebra, trig, math in general, this is the professor for you. He is a great teacher that you can't help but love and respect. His grading criteria is very clear and he gives great feedback if you just ask. He is also very inspirational and cares for his students a lot. But if you don't work, don't expect to pass

I got an A in all tests, except the final, so my final grade was a B. However, he is a good professor, much better than most of the ones I took before in Valencia. His tests are a little bit harder than his lectures, but he gives enough resources for you to do well on it

People will tell you not to take this professor. I am telling you that i am not a lazy people and SO far i have gotten A's on his test. He gives you the 1st test 100% take home, for the remaining 4 test half of it is take him which means you can start out at 50% on test! the rest is in class 10 problems, very easy if you study.

Dr. Pal is an artist. He masters the art of making people like math. Not only he explains the mechanics clearly, but also explains why it is important by using real world example, which is extremely valuable. His course is well structured and clear. 50% are take home assessments, which helps you to stay on track. Do yourself a huge favor, take him.
