I took her class, and she was one of the greatest teachewr I have ever met. She is very helpful. If you study hard, she will help you even more. She also loves students. I strongly recomend to take her class. Just amazing teacher!!!

Take this class if you want no homework and don't mind listening to her read off the slides. She'll like you if you ask Q's and share your opinions. Don't be late to class either. She's nice as a person but as a teacher, I DO NOT recommend. Tests were easy and make sure to review your notes often. Don't buy the textbook if you're not gonna use it.

Oh, and take those 2 page article reviews seriously. They're easy but always have her edit them before you submit it. Good luck! I wish I could have taken this class with a different professor to be honest.

I really enjoyed my class with Deepti. She is excited and passionate about the material. She provided the slides prior to class so you could print them out and not have to try to scribble down every word she said. She offered study guides before tests.She did expect that you would do the work (no surprise there) and was challenging but great.

Deepti is very easy. Her Psych 100 class was extremely easy. All of the information you needed to know are all on her powerpoints which are uploaded on canvas. The only thing that is hard is that your grade only consists of 4 POP quizzes, and a midterm, and a final. So if you do bad on those, your grade is going be bad.

Great teacher, helpful, and really nice. She's very open to feedback and gives plenty of opportunities to get a good grade (makes study guides, practice quizzes, uploads all her powerpoints, extra credit). You'll have to seriously slack off to get a bad grade.

I would say that Deepti has helped me engage with the subject at a deeper level. I felt that her teaching helped allow for high student participation through great class discussions and in readings of articles that are relevant to current research in the field. In addition, the role of culture in influencing development is explored greatly.

I took Deepti for both psych 100 and 200. Her lectures are very clear cut, and her tests come straight from lectures, and videos showed in class. there are no trick questions. she grades very fast, and is a fair grader too. lecturesslides are all posted on canvas.

Here is some things I wish I did: KEEP UP WITH THE READING, very tidious but most of the reading is on the exams and quizzes, pay attention during lectures, and ASK if you have a question with ANYTHING bc some subjects are really hard.

Since this class is about cross culture, discussions with classmates were the most fun part. As long as you do the readings, quiz should be fine. Take this eye opening class!

Ms. Karkhanis provides a relaxed atmosphere and explains her subject very well, often telling us about amusing or interesting course-related events. She sparked a renewed interest in a subject that I had thought dull. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone interested in psychology.

Honestly could not have asked for a better teacher for psychology. She always had a funny or interesting story to tell that was important to the subject matter. She was always open to students during her office hours and genuinely cared whether or not you were succeeding. 100% would take her again and would recommend her to anyone.

I loved this class. Deepti is a pretty chill and an easy class too. Get ready to read each night and take quizzes for each chapter. She has one midterm and a final, but they're partner test. Expect to do well in the class if you complete all the assignments and take notes in class. Her method of teaching is designed to help the students.

I'm in her class right now and she's an amazing teacher! You definitely need to read the chapters she assigns because they're useful for the weekly quizzes she gives but she's there to help. One thing is Deepti has an Indian accent and if you have trouble understanding professors with accents then don't take her. Overall I learned a lot and I'm happy she was my professor. Alot of the learning will be in the assigned chapter readings and powerpoint slides. Deepti will review and clarify the content. She's a very fun teacher and students can tell she loves what she does. Always offering to general help but for those who purposefully don't do their homework or pay attention won't get special help.

Lots of reading and writing notecards on chapters/videos/articles assigned. She will give lectures to clarify about previous homework given. At the end of each week there's a 10 question quiz and 3 exams during the quarter. They're very easy if you've studied. The final is a group project.

Deepti was interested in the topic and was willing to help you understand what was needed to succeed. There was reading every night with 1-3 short (5 question) quizzes online through the textbook that accounted for a total of 500+ points in the class- DONT SKIP THESE. They're easy to do and makes a good cushion. Participation is 100 points.

Deepti is just the best. She cares about her students' well-being, what they need from class, and she cares very much about psychology. Her lectures are paced very well and there is very little homework. If you participate in class and try on the final project, you will do fine and learn a lot.

You have to read and complete the daily online quizzes, every few weeks there'll be a paper due and study for the two exams. Though the exams were partner exams for my class. There was also an easy, group project at the end of the quarter. If you get to know her outside of class she goes out of her way to make sure you pass her class with an A.

I'm taking this class right now, and I have really enjoyed it! As I get to know Deepti more through the lectures, I like the class more. I love all of the stories that she tells the class and the way she relates the material to everyday life. She cares about her students, so as long as you care about her class in return, you'll have a good time.

Awesome prof! She is not an easy A, but if you show up to class everyday, do your revel readings and quizzes and do all the assignments, the class is not too hard. Make sure you don't get behind on the nightly quizzes! If you have no time to do the reading, most answers are online (SSHHH).

Took the online psyc 200. Most of it is you reading and watching videos on the online book program. There is a quiz at the end of each section. Is overall pretty easy and most answers are on quizlets. Make sure to take quizzes before due date.

I took Professor Karkhanis' PSYC 100 class during summer. Instead of using actual textbooks, she provided lots of online reading materials and videos as textbooks. Be ready to read and participate weekly on canvas. Weekly online discussions and quizzes are the important parts to get a good grade in this class. I will take her classes again!

I like Deepti's class. It is super easy to get an A if you did all that she said in the syllabus. She is also a nice person, willing to answer your questions as soon as possible.

Papers can be frustrating because of unclear expectations, but I did fine. Lots of textbook reading. Pay attention in class, do the readings, take notes on powerpoints and you'll be ok. She gets frustrated if the class doesn't participate in discussions so be ready to talk.

AMAZING! I learned so much in her course. She is super nice and flexible. The class work was reasonable and actually fun at times. She does these real life labs which increase your well-being and help you understand the importance of positive psychology.

Professor Deepti is a wonderful educator. She speaks in a calm manner, so you never feel stressed when you listen to her lectures. Be prepared for a workload though! You have a good amount of reading, lectures ranging from 12 mins. to an hr., quizzes, and extra work. She is a very fair grader and is always helpful, replying to emails within a day.

Professor Karkhanis assigned readings about discussion topics that were relevant to my own life, and it allowed me to view things with a broader perspective. The TED talks helped me navigate through the course and relate it back to the readings.

Learned about studies in Cross-Cultural Psychology from textbook readings, TED Talk videos, quiz review study guides, and ppt (PowerPoint) for each unit; got helpful and supportive advice/ feedback from the professor; regular reminders for upcoming course work.

Like most online classes the teacher doesn't come into play besides the overall organization of canvas, so in that regards Mrs Karkhanis was excellent. This was an odd class in terms of being sneakily difficult. Week to week material was easy but tests would have confusing questions, not meant to make you fail, but they were harder than homework.

I appreciated how willing the professor was to respond to emails quickly and provide help whenever possible. This professor is a very detailed person and it shows her passion to teach. The class was put together well with tons of resources to help me learn.

Dr. Karkhanis used a variety of different sources to get the intended information to us. This included a variety of articles and videos. She also tested us with both a test and a group project which was different, but nice. She also took student feedback to heart and wasn't afraid to modify due dates or assignments if requested.

The instructor was very organized and communicated very well. The instructor selected excellent readings to supplement our textbook. I especially enjoyed the wealth of TedTalks we were required to watch. The instructor was also very mindful and sensitive to the different backgrounds and ideologies that her students possessed.

The course was well organized in the modules section on canvas. Clear communication and understanding of life circumstances. Each week she provided a suggested timeline of completing the week's content that helped a lot with prioritizing what to work on first.

Her lecture videos are amazing, and a very helpful way of feeling like an in-person class. The visual learning in the videos and FREE textbook is also very helpful. I really appreciate the feedback that shows a good amount of attention is given to my submissions and the way the instructor communicates this feedback is easily interpreted.

This class was set up in a great organized way on Canvas, and everything was easy to follow. I liked reading the content and then getting the lecture videos with other TED videos that helped make the unit module for that week. The instructor did send a lot of emails to me about assignments' reminders, which were helpful. I loved this class!

Canvas site was very well organized and easy to navigate. I also really appreciated the heads-up messages in my canvas inbox when assignments were due, since I am frequently prone to forgetting about deadlines. The weekly study schedule suggestions were a great help for me, since they provided me a groundwork to help schedule my other classes' HW.

Professor Karkhanis is a tough teacher because she has high expectations and a heavy workload. It's nice to have a professor who demonstrates a high standard, it makes me a better student and increases my abilities. I enjoyed the course content a lot. Amazing professor. Gives good instructions on each assignment and states her expectations clearly. Very reachable outside of class. An amazing textbook keeps you engaged and only one discussion a week with a small 5 questions quiz for participation points. Everything is sorted very nicely, this professor has everything together for online classes.

I liked her teaching style & ways in which assignments were given to us; very organized. I especially liked the fact that we were given a recommended calendar to follow for all assignments of a week, it was very helpful/reasonable for me to pace myself & make sure everything was done on time. Dr. Karkhanis is a great professor. As long as you take notes and read the text, it's an easy A class because she wants you to succeed. She's accessible and a great teacher, but strict with deadlines. Absolutely no extensions. The class consists of an online textbook with incorporated questions and weekly quizzes, and 3 "final exams" that incorporate all learned so far. If you do the readings, watch the short TedEd quizzes and consistently look back on your notes, you'll do fine!
