Kind of crazy, but entertaining. He had extra help for every assignment and quiz or test. Lots of work though, but if you did it all, you did well.

Is a monster with labs but gives you every tid bit of information needed. He's abit crazy, but once you get past that hes not so bad. Reminds me of Hare abit, and well lets face it, they both know what they are doing!

I think he is a really good prof, he is a little looney at times, but that's part of the reason I liked him, I easily got an A in his class. GREAT PROF! Giving a prof a bad rating just because you didn't do well is not always the fault of the prof!

He's very confrontational. If a test question is unclear, just deal because if you ask him, it may spark a shouting match. (i've seen it more than once.) Overall not a horrible prof, but there definitely are better ones a St. Thomas. Seek them out.

Brodie is a NUT! This is my second course with him. He's an interesting prof to listen to, he has good stories but it's hard to keep up with his notes. Overall a good prof if you do the work.

I thought he was great! His stories are so crazy and funny and if you do any work at all his class is EASY!(I got an A without too much effort) I don't know why no one gave him a good rating.

Brodie is not the greatest prof, let's just say that. He is very hard to understand. I agree with whoever wrote that he makes the class feel stupid. He tries to make the entire human race look stupid. I would not reccomend any of his classes.

Brodie is an awesome Prof for students who are willing to put the time and effort into their university work. His tests and exams can be hard but is more then willing to meet with students to disscuss concerns. Will only call you stupid if you do poorly

One thing that I liked about Del Brodie is that he expects a lot from his students. If people don't want to work, they shouldn't be here. However, he needs to work on his ability to teach his students, rather than talk down to them. Not very helpful.

This guy was off the wall...I was a hard working student with a pretty high gpa, so it's not like I was looking for the easy way out, like some seem to think was the only ones who had problems with this guy! He was difficult and unprofessional.

Hard, but if you regurgitate the right things, you get an A+ like I did. Nice guy, but socially inept, and doesn't understand people in general. He can come across as hostile, but he is only joking, and trying to be friendly.

One class he slammed the door over again while smiling to make a point about Statistics. Um, I don't think scaring students is ethical or helpful. Very unprofessional, obscure, weird, socially inept, tries WAY too hard for attention, and unfair. Only take him if you hate yourself. lol

Not a big fan. I try to avoid taking classes from him at all costs. He talks down to you, believes that everyone in his classes are truly stupid. He laughs when he "tricks" you on the quizzes and tests. He is mildly entertaining.

Worst prof ever. He is offensive and finds joy in making fun of people. He thinks everyone is stupid when really it's him that can't teach. His classes are pointless and he wasts time with hundreds of useless graphs. I learnt the course from the textbook. Avoid at all costs.

I really did not enjoy Del's class. He is not approachable in any way, he makes fun of people, makes us feel uncomfertable.. and is very unhelpful, because we simply don't understand what hes talking about while hes explaining something. I got a miserable mark in that class, even tho I got amazing in 1013! I'm so mad

He spits, admits openly that he should not be a professor, and makes fun of you, calls you stupid and says you can't read especialy when you attempt to ask for help. I had to hand in an assigment late 'cause of a doctor's appointment in another city, he gave me permission before hand, then later refused to give me my marks AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!!!

Hey atleast he keeps the class interesting. He's weird and all but he's not mean and he's fair. You have 2 lectures per week and one lab. If you study the labs can boost your grade cause they're not too difficult. Puts everything on Web CT so that's a bonus along with your grades as you go along so you can track your progress. Worth giving a chance

Totally bad teacher. Unclear in his teaching. Unhelpful even when you make an effort to go see him. Biased against women, dotes on male favourites. DO NOT TAKE HIS COURSES. Many fail his Stats course, then do well with other profs.

Horrible professor, I can not believe my tuition is paying his salary! I have tryed to ask him questions and he walks away in the middle of me speaking. Very rude! Acts like you are stupid if you ask for any explanations. I have talked to many students who have taken his courses, there is an overall consensus of great dislike for him.

Horrible horrible horrible prof! If the class does bad on a quiz or test he basically insults everyone's intelligence for at leat a half hour. I found him to to be really weird, unapproachable (because he's so weird), and really boring. I studied a ton for every quiz, test, and the final but never got higher than a B+ on anything.

He's incomprehensible; you end up teaching yourself. A huge statistics component, even though it's not a statistics course. He doesn't explain well at all, and picks out details that have nothing to do with the subject to quiz you on. I did worse on tests that I studied for than on tests where I just read over the material.

WORST PROF EVER!!! He is no help at all! There was no point in attending his class because he never taught me anything. I had to teach myself.He would also make everyone feel stupid for asking a question. He would bang his head on the wall, or slap his face if he thought the question was dumb.

I found Dr. Brodie so hard to understand! He made me feel really stupid for asking questions, which is very unprofessional. He seems to be very smart and passionate about his interests in psychology, but he really can't teach it. If you have trouble with math, don't take stats from him

Don't take Stats with him. He doesn't seem to understand that things that are simple for him are really confusing for his students. He thinks that saying something once is enough for us to understand it and move on. Test questions are unnecessarily confusing. Nice guy, a little odd, but can't teach at all.

I got an A- in is Social Psychology class, however the only reason I managed to pull that off was by learning his tricks and personality style not the material! The material was fasinating and the text taught me everything I learnt in this course. I think he has a passion, but will give you nothing but unnessary anxiety and low self-confidence.

Without a doubt, the worst professor I have ever had. Extremely unclear and boring. Even the prof is confused most of the time and makes several mistakes while teaching. He is especially not helpful if you are not very good at math.

He is very approachable but when I went to him for clarification on something, it was not helpful. I would not take Stats with him. He expects you to read ahead in the text, do the assignment and THEN he teaches the concept. Not the right fit for me.

Absolutely pathetic professor. If you're wondering why tenure should be abolished, take one of his classes. Disorganized, incapable of self-expression, belligerent, admits to being a terrible prof. His marking system is ridiculous and you'll have to teach yourself ALL of the material if you hope to pass. Do yourself a favor and drop his classes!

Approaching him with questions is useless, the assignments helps you get a good grade though and he gives lots of bonus points for tests based on you signing your name or answering simple questions. ATTENDING CLASS IS MANDATORY. Many of his exam ques are small random stuff he says in class that you would be lost if you read the textbook.

You might as well not pay for University and just read the book. What is he there for? I don't quite know. His tests are based upon mundane things in the textbook that aren't very important. Every time he says "whatever" a little part of me dies. Drop out and take an overload next time or study really hard for this useless course.

Very unclear about what he wants. I did well in his course, but it was because I read the textbook, without it I would have never did well. His lectures are almost pointless, his tests are not entirely relevant to course material, there are questions that are just random facts or names that he barely mentions in class.

I did Intro to Stats with Brodie. I'm terrible in math but he explains things, offers extra help, and wants you to pass. He's very enthusiastic, and is a bit quirky, but overall I found him to be a great professor. I managed to do well when I barely passed math in high school.

He really wants you to use the text but going to his classes are essential. I found the class a lot easier when I went and listened because he's a good prof and enthusiastic and a lot of things he says in class are on the tests/quizzes. I really enjoyed his class.

Brodie is a great professor. He can be eccentric but it makes for an interesting class. If you are willing to show up to class and read the text (which is easy to read and informative) then there is no reason to not get a good grade. He outlines expectations very clearly!

If you want to do well study the textbook, and read the chapters ahead of time so you know what he's talking about. He is often inconsistent with what he says. Very helpful, and eccentric, and humorous, but he is a frustrating prof to have. He tests you very frequently, 3 quizzes, 3 labs, and 2 tests, and one finale, participation, etc...

If you don't have to take his class don't. He isn't a very good prof and but you do take his class ahead so you understand what is being talked about. I found he liked to make fun of people that didn't do well in class, although he didn't point them out he would inform the class about how any people failed and laugh at the group.

I found him very odd. He did not care to elaborate if you were stuck or needed help. He never used the text book. I did not like him what so ever, however the way his classes are structured and designed, it is not hard to pass.

Brodie is eccentric and gets a bad rep from some people but he is actually hands down one of the best profs I've had for math. I took Stats with him and he will give you points for trying pretty much. If you see him outside of class hell do the assignment for you! His test also has a cheat sheet. He was really helpful for me.

Worst Prof ever. Took intro to Psych with him last year and he gave off the impression of being crazy. I remember him jumping on the tables, throwing desks around and randomly flicking the lights on /off. He stutters and I didn't learn anything. He says "Whatever" 50 billion times a class. AVOID

Brodie is MESSED. Not only did he purpose to me in class, but he also enjoys kicking chairs to scare the whole class and making fun of how ugly his niece is who has a serious illness that causes deformities. His class notes look like they're made on paint and he has a 250 multiple choice exam. Good Luck.

Del Brodie is an acquired taste. He has very frequent quizzeslabs and tests but if you show up to class and read your text then you will do fine. He is a bit crazy and says some very questionable things but you learn to just laugh. His course is tough if you don't like going to class or reading. He took time to learn our names so that's nice.

I am certain that Brodie knows what he's taking about and is great at his psychology work. But he is TERRIBLE at teaching it. He was rude and uncalled for on multiple occasions with various students and whenever someone asked a question he'd scoff and move on without answering. Would not recommend.

Was one of the most obnoxious profs I've ever had. Would go on loud tangents and said some truly bizarre and questionable things. Material was sound (but expect a LOT of Freud). Tests frequently and, if you study the textbook, you can get decent grades. Weekly labs can also boost your grade if you study the material. Gives participation grades.
