Rounds is to difficult, this isn't harverd. He is wiling to help, but that might be part of the problem. if you askem for help, be prepaired to do extra work and show it to him! He'll call you to follow up! Be prepared as I warned you.

I agree with the last rater. Rounds is to hard. His attendance policy causes lots of problems for me. If you can't go to every class don't take him. To be fair, he follows the university policy but doubles how many classes you can miss without an excuse.

Hard class. MUST read book. If you don't read, you'll fail the tests. I've warned you. Dr. Rounds will fail anyone and everyone if necessary. Don't screw with this guy. You won't like his bite. You get what you deserve. Don't forget that! Freaking read!

You get what you earn. Dr. Rounds is very fair. All grading is objective, with no subjectivity. Can be a problem if you try to get a higher grade by being the teacher's pet. He won't fall for it. He does bring Krispy Kreme donuts to class sometimes.

If you want an EASY "A", dont take him. He is a good teacher. He is smart and we respect each other opion. A good quote to remeber is that, statistics are important. what they reveal is interesting, what they conceal are vital. Dont listen to hallway gossip about this man, they have no idea!!

He is great in class, and has students make test questions. His classroom lectures seem like they are based on stand-up comedy. Test review comes straight from the test. One-on-One he is kind of an A-hole though, overall he is a great teacher

If you don't want to do YOUR work, then don't take his class. He knows our con games. He is very friendly and helpful. You MUST do your work. He demands it or your grade will reflect YOUR failure. He often talks about individual responsibilities, which upsets stupid or just lazy students.

Awesome Professor! Hot too! He is VERY helpful. However, if you are an idiot, he will hold your feet to the fire. That is why many dumb and lazy students (take your pick) don't like him. He is very insightful and knows our techniques of manipulating professors on this campus. He won't have ANY of it. Don't even try. He'll shut you down immediately.

Best professor the school has. It wasn't Harvard that offered him a job. I found out it was Princeton. Yale wanted him a few years ago. And Stanford a few years before that. He is that good of a professor. Can be too difficult for us Edinboro students though.

Great class & even greater professor. Hottest Edinboro professor. Doc cares about student's succeeding. I think he should be teacher of the year for the next 30 years! Dr. Rounds does fail people, particularly those who don't do their work or those who can't do the work. Only fair, isn't it? You are in college now. Figure it out.

His lectures are interesting, he captivates students, making us think, and he doesn't just expect us to memorize and parrot back the book. Interesting classes. Never boring. One of the best!

Interesting course and professor. Only complaint is that he is rather indecisive when it comes to determining exam dates. His lectures are cool and supplement the book very well. So long as you study, keep up with the reading material, and keep on top of the exam review you'll do very well. I'll never see Home Improvement the same again.

Rounds is a really good guy and prof. I don't study and I don't read and I get B's and C's. Think what you could do in his class if you apply yourself. He has helped me get a good internship and a great job. He is clear, and very helpful. Also I think he is really good looking, but I guess a great personality makes a person even more attractive.

I think that Dr. Rounds is one of the best professors we have at Edinboro. His classes can be hard, but only if you refuse to do what he tells you to do to succeed. He will help in any way if you are willing to first help yourself. It is just his teaching style and philosophy and you have to accept it or don't take him. He will not enable idiocy!

Dr. Rounds cares about every single one of his students. Some people as stated below do not like his teaching style. However it is one of the best I have ever witnessed and experienced. Dr. Rounds teaches on a level most professors never reach, he teaches to his classes as a person such teach which is a fellow Human take him if you get the chance.

Good professor that works really hard to provide lectures that are relevant and interesting. I've taken him for four different class and would take him for more if he taught more classes. Dr. Rounds seems to be more suited to a better college than Edinboro University as he seems to be head and shoulders above many other faculty.

This professor is my favorite professir even though I didn't do as well as I should have. All my fault though as I don't test well. Super interesting lectures all semester long. I will take for all the classes that I can. Best professor I think. Really cares about student success. Won't give you anything but will help you if you help self first.

Dr. Rounds was my favorite professor at the Boro when I was there. I didn't finish my degree and came back and he is still my favorite. There are easier teachers in his dept. but he is by far the best. I highly recomend him for any class. His online classes are really good to. I took CRIM 200 with him and it was easy.

MUST read. Intresting lectors but arent from tha book! I dont read very well (tested at 4 grade level last year) + I a difficult time readin tha book. I wish he yousd power point of chapters so we didnt half to read. lots of other proffesors in department do and they are great otherthan dat he is good proffesor. My favorite professor at Edinboro University. Be warned: Some of the ratings here are from students that he failed for various reasons. Judge for yourself. Profesor Rounds is difficult, but very interesting. I like his classes a lot. The workload is more than other Criminal justice teachers which pretty much sucks, but at least he is excellent.

Best class I ever had in college. Professor Rounds don't read from the book and that make the tests difficult more but he is interesting professor. I found him be to very hot. I attractive him.

Dr. Rounds is one of the best teachers I have had for any of my Criminal Justice classes. He is more than willing to help you. He is a very easy going teacher. Yes you have to read for his class and his test tend to be difficult but if you go to class every day, take good notes and read the book you will be fine.

1 of the best prof we have at EUP. Uses lectures & power points 2 teach class. Sometimes goes online 2 illustrate something or look something up right during class 2 find out the correct statistic or answer 2 some question that comes out of left field. Very willing 2 go that extra mile 4 his students.

Excellent professor but realli hard for edinboro university

Dr. Rounds is hard if you don't read the chapters. I didn't the first test and bombed it. Luckily everyone else did and he curved it. After that I read through the chapters ONE time and got a 91 and 80 on my next 2 tests. Hes not hard like everyone says you just cant sit there and do nothing and need to pay attention in class. Interesting class!

I took professor Round online class and it was a good class. Professor Round was very helpful. He was always available to me by email or phone. Professor Round is a great professor. I learned a lot and it was a fun class. I met him a few times in person and he is super good looking and he was very funny to.

Professor Rounds is good teacher. I like him as do all the students that I talk to. I only have one question with RMP: Why do you allow unhappy students to rate the same professor over and over? It is obvious the two ratings below mine are from the same person. The one doesn't even make sense when he says "have to cheat but easiest professor." Huh?

There is a lot of work but there is'nt a lot of it.

Professor Round is full of useful infomration. He is way to hard for a 500 level course. He thinks it is a graduate class that he teaches at night.

Best professor the history department has working for it. He talks about criminal justice a lot though.

One word: Awesome...his intro to policing class made me want to actually get up in the morning so I could attend. Hes humerous and knows his material. Gets along great with his students.

He's ok...gets off topic ALOT! But the class could CLEARLY be Independent Study. Not trying to hurt feelings, but class is pretty much boring...lecture starts out ok, but like I said b4 can't stay on track of lecture.

To the last rater: Is your post a joke? If you can't spell, write a coherent sentence, or read a college textbook, then how did you get into college? No wonder you have trouble with Rounds. He expects you to have minimal skills of a college student. Clearly, you don't have the writing skills or logic skills of a fifth grader. ULTIMATE FAIL.

He tells you what he wants you to know. Follows the chapter outlines and objectives that appear at the beginning of each chapter in the textbook. Couldn't be plainer than daylight.

All he ever talks about is his objectives for the chapter and the course. I'm tired of hearing about objectives. Funny thing is that the tests revolves around his objectives so that did make it easie on tests.

My favorite teacher at Edinboro. He teaches straight forward with what he wants you to know. Do your work and you'll do fine. Don't do your work (that is reading the book) and you'll do poorly.

Lectures are interesting I like them. Could raters on here talk more about his classroom policies and not so much about hating him? I take that to mean you failed the course which is probably your own fault. So far he's been nothing but forthright on what's required of us. He tests my class on the material he assigns us. Makes sense to me.

Exxcellent professor. He can be demandin at times witch will (as he says) only make me better. But I have better things to due than 25 page research paper with 15 mandastory "academic resources". Its a stupid requirment and I donut understand why he counts riting so much of mi grade. Steal I think he is good teacher.

Dr. Rounds is a good teacher. He has really big syllabus and if you just follow it you will do good in his courses. He shows you exactly how to pass his classes and if you do the work like a good college student then you'll mostly have easy time passing.

Doc Rounds is a great professor. This teacher truly cares about how well we do. I'm not saying it will be easy. It isn't. He will work you to the bone, but he'll work himself to the bone for you too. Treat him with respect and he will treat you the same way. Screw with him and you're toast. Burnt. Crisphy.

Be polite and respectful in class or he'll eat you alive. Don't say stupid things either and do your work. Tests are open book but forget passing unless you actually read beforehand because they are timed. He also gives essay tests on the lectures. These aren't difficult but no cutting and pasting or he'll fail you for plagiarism. Great professor.

I can't believe he teaches at Edinboro! I'm so lucky to have someone who has done so much in his career. He's very humble to. He won't talk about his background very much unless you really ask him. This guy is the go to professor for advising. He knows everything.

Dr. Rounds taught a great online CRIM 500 course. He graded things very quickly, usually within a week. It looks likes my classmates, who don't deserve to pass the course anyway since all they do is complain and hand in work late, are now realizing they aren't going to pass. Lol

My favorite professor. His lectures aren't just copied from the book, but are his original material. (I know as I read the book and never missed a class.) Don't get me wrong because his lectures are the similar to material in the book but he adds to it. So you have to read the book and attend lectures or you'll probably fail some tests.

Exceptional online class! I really like how professor is up front with all material. Everything is straight forward. Fun assignments and discussions. I liked his audio lectures. I had him for a regular class and he was one of the best there too.

The course is online on the first day of the class. Other than discussion you complete course at own rate. Good professor an I really like the online movies.

This professor provides the essential material by lecturing from power points directly linked to the required textbook. He can go on tangents to keep lecture interesting otherwise everyone would fall asleep. Very straight forward material. You will get out of it exactly what you put into it.

I got 750 on my SAT test and could only manage a B in this course. I was told with my high school grades and a 750 SAT I could do anything. Guess it an't true.

This professor is da bomb. Lol Seriously he has the entire course available to complete at your own pace but within specific dates. Everything is clearly communicated in his extensive course syllabus. His syllabus spells out everything. Expect to earn grade based on your effort put into threaded discussions. Don't wait until the last minute.

A great teacher who knows that intro classes are usually boring, so he tries his best to make it a fun and entertaining class while also teaching you everything there is to know about criminal justice at an introductory and easy to understand level.

Amazing lectures that contain many interesting stories to help understand the topic. Other than an easy A what more can we ask for? Sure, Mr. Rounds makes us work for our grades, but he's fair. If you're a lazy slug don't expect to pass.

Send an email at 1am get a response by 2. He is very open to talking about your strengths/weaknesses. He asked about my major and had pointers on how to succeed and reaching out for help. Very approachable. I would take any other courses he offers. Intro class is just reading and assessments. You have all the material at the start but deadlines

I took an online class by Dr Rounds over the summer. I really like how you read a chapter then take a test. Also, he drops the 2 lowest test scores and also gives extra credit. Great class and Professor.

Ah Dr Rounds! There is nothing bad I can say about him. This is the second time I have taken him and will take him again in the spring. I love the 'read a chapter take a quiz' set up that he has for his online class. He responds quickly to emails and is very helpful. I would highly recommend taking him.

This is my 3rd time taking Dr. Rounds, because he is my favorite professor. This class was online and it was a module. You work through each chapter then answer questions/short essay at the end. The review section in the module are where the questions for the tests come from. Lots of extra credit. You'll learn a lot in this fun and easy class.

While, he does ramble a lot during class and gets off topic most of the time he still teaches well. He provides us with a lot of information to complete the course work that is provided for us. He drops the lowest two grades which is nice for students who miss an assignment or a lab. He is also quick at responding to emails.

I never took Dr. Rounds before but I will definitely take again. Professor Rounds provided us detailed syllabus that he expects us to read. As he told me "You're in college. It's real life. Read. Ask questions." So I did and I understood. Grading was very clear so if you can read the assignments then you should get good grades.

Really good professor. The group work stinks but it is helpful to prepare study sheets and break up the work. I don't think Dr. Rounds sleeps. He answered my email at like 4 in the morning.

"You're an adult. Act like it!" Doctor Rounds says this a lot! He expects students act like adults. If you do that, and submit your work on time, you'll pass. Otherwise, he has little mercy for lazy students. Be respectful or expect consequences. I heard he sued a student in small claims court for telling lies about him and he won!

Dr. Rounds has a lot of enthusiasm and shows it by writing a lot of comments on our assignment's. I much preferred reading specific comments to seeing another impersonal rubric giving me points for doing what a monkey can do. Great senior seminar.

This is a review of Dr. Rounds for advising or what he calls mentoring. He will be honest even if it isn't something you want to hear, but need to. Dr. Rounds steered me away from policing due personal issues and recommended law school. I'm in law school right now and it is the best thing I've ever done! Thank you Dr. Rounds!

Dr. Rounds excels in his online courses. By far he is head and shoulders above other faculty. May have the most organized courses of anyone. I highly recommend. Follow the schedule and don't expect breaks. Easy course to complete if your stay up on the weekly assignments.

We disagree a lot about my work but he was right when I checked with others. This teacher cares enough to tell me I was rong. I've matored lot.

Rounds is an entertaining professor but always with a purpose in each lecture. Need to read book before class or you may not understand what he's talking about. Some classmates are lost because Dr. Rounds will assume you've read the material. He even comes out and says you had better read the readings before lecture or you'll be lost.

Dr. Rounds has a lot of work in our course. And he says think outside the box a lot. He told me I'm a good thinker but I could do better on his chapter quizzes.

Dr. Rounds doesn't go over the book. Sure his lectures are on the topics in the book, but I had to actually read before class as he expected us to discuss the assigned readings. A lot of work for three credits I learned a lot. Best professor but he is hard.
