She's caind of good professor if you know what to do, she wants things done her way and there's nothing you can say about it. The test are caind of confusing also. To past just go along with her don't ask question cause you'll problaly regret and try to do good on the tests.

I went into this class not knowing anything about the MS Office and came out on top. However, for the students that try to use reverse psycho on the professors she does not like that at all. That's why she says it self explanatory and read the book. She is a good professor, she is just tough. She probably needs a fellow.
I went to her class with little skills of MS office but now I know all of them. she is a meen teacher but during the whole semester I did all my work and ended up getting a 'A' for the course.
Archibald is a great teacher, she knows her stuff, got the experience and is patient with students. I wouldn't mine having her for the rest of my ms classes and sql.
She seems nice enough, but she's incompetent senile. Several times she told us that we were allowed to do certain things with our assignments and then coming towards submission she totally loses recollection of her own words and detuct 10 pts away from us after telling us it would be OK. She's nice, but can't really teach at all.
Always work the book, if she can't figure out something she has a student figure it out for her, don't ask about your work too much or she'll refuse to listen to you. So long as you do your work, should be fine...but if you're behind then she's unforgiving. She's only good and nice when things go smoothly, but a female-dog when it doesn't. Careful!
"All assignments and work will be posted Blackboard" (BB), that never happened. "If you ever have a problem, please e-mail me", send her 2 e-mails out of the week and she'll give you an irritated look. I was lucky to complete the online exam with my book, but this other guy had to do it by hand and dude was furious everyone else used the book.

Holley is the GREATEST professor after taking Archi. She doesn't listen to student, don't teach, and if you ask questions. She fires you with some mean comment. If you're looking for a easy class with less work, independent study type. She's the one for you. No questions can be asked. Good luck
Oh my god I strongly suggest students DO NOT takes any of her classes!!!!! She never listens to what we have to say. Every time when we are trying to ask her questions she is like ask your classmate why you didn’t pay attention to what I said. She has serious attitude problems!! She is the laziest prof i ever met. Reads from the book in the class. She has a problem with remembering stuff such as tests. She always asks you to answer, the question that u asked. Weird prof. ends class early. On tests she is not fair. If u forgot a comma she would take out the whole credit. No partial credits. Don't get on her nerves!

Her class is really easy as long as you do the work. But, take her only if you're okay with learning on your own. Don't ask her too many questions, study on your own and should get a grade of B or better.

This prof does almost every exercise in the text & always require you to read in advance. She criticizes your websites harshly. For a moment, I swore I was going to fail her class from that. But I passed due to an in class exam which I scored well. She loves to give open book exams on blackboard which many people fail because they are very hard

Visited her during her office hours last semester to ask her a quick question and she yelled at me that she was busy. Needless to say, my internship presentation that I had to do in front of her 30 minutes later was nothing short of awkward.
Let me explain everything about her. This prof. is one of the best prof. this college have because she know what she's doing. She is rude on sometimes but you actually learn in this class. she explains everything in very details and in simple examples and when students dont even get common sense things she gets mad.

Her class by itself is not very difficult. HTML, CSS and JavaScript are fairly easy to learn and use at this level, so the only thing that you have to put any real effort into is finding interesting and attractive images for your web pages. I personally did not have any issues with her, but she was a bit harsh and disrespectful to several students.
She's clear about what she expects of you. She is smart and will allow students the chance to be heard, however she is moody, unpredictable and in my opinion somewhat rude. If you are sensitive, do not take this class. Use your book and notes and you will learn, but I will never take another class with her.
Exams are multiple choice and short answers. At most, there are 20 questions. Just get 90 and above on all exams and it's a guaranteed A. Professor is grumpy sometimes but the class is at 8:00AM Monday morning so what do you expect? I find her hilarious especially if a student asks a stupid question. She has a sense of humor that I understand.

Be aware of this professor. She is da meanest professor I ever had. She won't answer questions during tests or review times. If you do ask question she will yell at you. She doesn't give any hw so all the grd come from tests. If you fail any tests, you won't pass or may be pass wid a D. She doesn't give any partial grd or extra credit.
She is very straight forward and prepares you for the real world. She would not spoon feed you so you can pass, you have to work really hard for her grade. She does not like when you ask her questions because she feels that she speaks clear enough for you to understand. Read and do not try to impress her! do what she says and you would be good.
Three things: *For web programming , if you suck at creativity(as she like) you will fail the class, even though you are good at coding. *She hates asking questions in class *She will scare the life out of you if she is not impressed with your project.
The actual material for the class isn't too difficult and she isn't that bad at teaching it, but she has absolutely no respect for students. She will yell at them, threaten them with "flat zeroes", condescend to them, and is generally unpleasant to be around. She also grades mostly on how you designed your website rather than how you coded it.
if you have a choice don't take i barely passed with a C grade. If she likes you on the first day of class then you are good if not you are on for a long painful ride.

Professor Archibald has a straightforward grading policy. She has high expectations from each student, so do your best and show her that you understand the material. She may disrespect you if you get on her bad side, but mostly she's chill and an easy A. I would definitely recommend her because she has a completely different way of teaching.

Archibald is extremely disrespectful, but she does know what she is teaching. She gives you all of the resources you need to pass the test and has a review the class before the test. All you have to to is study. If you take her class prepare to feel disgusted by the way she talks to people but you will learn something in her class.

well, why take this class? especially since she just makes you do every single thing on the book page by page. Yep, she doesnt explain off her head, she just reads off the book and tells you to use the book and copy what the page says. She also doesn't allow book share, so if you dont have the book and the guy next to you does, you can't share it.
Well, she acts tough , may even shout at you. But she does that to improve yourself, I took her around last summer and she still remember me from that class. You can get an A if you want. Her tests are straight forward and her pointers are review for the theory exams. She is a tough critic when it comes to web works, to make you better overall.

I didn't come for the first 3 days of her class due to an extreme emergency and this professor kicked me out of the class. I already had the experience in web programming so I thought I would ace the class but she didn't even let me explain my situation, talking over me and saying "SPEAK ENGLISH!". She is bringing down the college reputation down.

She gave the class the option to take the final the whole day or just for 2 hours. The class agreed the whole day. She posted the final & it was two hours. She's in a nutshell... well that... She yells and she screams, she demeans and threatens... She's quite terrible at explaining, and instructions in her class are elusive. Take another professor if you can. I don't know who enjoyed her - that's some kinky stuff... She will teach you little and you'll be nervous the entire semester about your grade.
She took over our class mid-semester and changed how work is suppose to be done compared to how our previous professor wanted. She made it very clear NOT to email her about anything as it could "deduct points off of your grade". Her attitude is extremely horrible, communication is poor, grading makes no sense.

This professor doesn't know how to grade my assignment. I ask her a question about one Excel assignment. She gave me a 0 without giving me explanation even though I kindly asked through email. And just as the other said, she's quite rude, and doesn't give mercy to other students. AVOID HER AT ALL COST!!!!!!
The grading system is unprofessional, I have been doing the homework the same way for 2months, and all are graded with no comment, but when I submit Midterm the same way, I received a 0. For not putting a folder inside a folder. She won't grade week works weekly. You know everything but 0 This professor is having fun failing people(literal laughs )

I have never encountered a professor like her. She has an awful temper, impatient, rude, disrespectful, unorganized and an unfair grader. No matter the effort you put, she will mock your work and threatens to fail you. She thinks she has the right as a professor to treat students the way she wants or does. The course material is all over the place and isn't very clear. You will fail this course over the smallest mistakes made. AVOID HER!
I can see how the other reviewers feel the way they do, she's pretty strict and moody most days but for the most part she's been pretty fair with the grading. Just show up to class, do the work, wish her a good (time of day) and you'll pass.

She is an Older woman, who tends to repeat herself Often. You need patience to work with her.. She can be a little rough at first, but the more you participate the more calm she becomes. She is a tough grader and will give you no partial credit. Pay attention and don't mix up Data Types. She teaches well and the material is good.

I have never had a more demeaning and condescending professor at this college. She refused to answer questions about homeworks, most of the time refused to answer students questions at all, and even told a student to stop helping another student at one point, and told them to go to tutoring. She seems to hate teaching and avoids it at all costs.
I did incredibly the whole semester and for the last assignment I did the same thing she asked for but maybe less aesthetic looking she gave 17.5/100 letter grade D. If you email her asking her questions for clarification she will respond with attitude and not help you. She is disagreeable, unhelpful & very rude. The CUNY system has to evaluate professors or else the school repetition will go down. This professor is an absolute disgrace for higher education. Teaching a subject alone without matters is not teaching at all. I believe she claims to the tech department that the method of her strict and awful behavior is the right way to push students further.
VERY, VERY TOUGH GRADER. Will talk smack about you in front of the class. That said, she does know and is very accommodating if you do at least show interest in the work. Just be patient, and hopefully don't get on her bad side.
Gives vague instructions, gets livid with students for not following specifications for HTML pages she doesn't provide, like colors allowed in projects. Many who confront her about this are threatened with failing the class, and directly mocks any suggestions students have of taking it to her superiors, saying they will take no actions against her.
Completed all the work, was given a D because she didn't personally like me. Which messed up my graduation and the school won't cover the retaking of the class because I didn't fail I just got too low of a grade.
Effective at teaching and knows her stuff, so it is pretty easy to follow along..... Just don't ask for help with anything she has already gone over, or she gets pretty angry. She is also very strict on deadlines and takes no excuses. She has a soft side for people who do well in the class. Just pay attention in class and you will pass very easily.

I personally didn't have a bad experience with this professor and receive a good grade in this class. However I believe it would be better if she was more open to questions being asked and willing to accommodate to people who do not understand what is being told during lecture instead of getting mad at those that do not understand the material.
During a test I get a text message on my phone and I was curious about it since I don't usually get a message so early in the morning at around 8 am. I try to get a little peek at who is it from… but she doesn't seem to care about it and gives me a zero. I try to turn my phone in to her to receive a second chance but no and told me to left.

I took her class for FALL 2024 SQL she made all our lives a living hell. By the 1st week half the class dropped her class cuz her attitude was RUDE. On the first day she told a student to "drop" her class cuz he was 10 min late. She doesn't like questions at all, her exams makes no sense. She teaches "old" fashion cuz she hates "tech" LIKE WHAT?
Let me get started by saying that the rumors for this professor were absolutely true and you should avoid her at all times. It's only the second day for my second semester and she starts saying “you guys take a computer class but you don't know how to use a computer. This is completely ridiculous!”
She asks us to submit a SQL assignment but she gives vague instructions like “take a picture and screenshot it” or “Copy and paste this into word”. Like what do you mean??? A word document??? And she says we need to upload the “sql” that we did. WHAT DOES that mean????
This has got to be the worst class I've ever been in. Her instructions are vague, can't ask her questions, won't let us help each other and is constantly threatening us. Her famous quote is, " I give zero, I want it to hurt. Taking out 1 point won't hurt" as she smiles. If you are wondering should you take her, don't. Save yourself the trouble.
I, Genuinley couldnt take being in her class. She would verbally disrespect me and other students. Honestly im fine with dropping the class and retaking it next semester with a better teacher. PLEASE RUN AWAY IF U HAVE THIS TEACHER
im actually shocked she teaching this class reads off a textbook all day makes us copy a textbook word for word very nit picky over handy in assignments in a certain way
YOU'RE COOKED F YOU TAKE THIS CLASS. YOU NEED TO KNOW EVERY SINGLE THING IN THE TEXTBOOK AND SPECIFIC KEY WORDS SHE USES. THE TESTS WILL ABSOLUTELY COOK YOU SHE'S VERY STRICT ON TESTS. VERY RUDE and she uses excuses like "being rough" on students to help them learn
This was the worst class of my life. She is extremely respectful, will call names, she said, " You will never do well in your life" to a classmate. Gives 0 because she feels like it. I dont know how the standard in this low in this university. I hope we never cross path ever again.
If I get to choose between getting hit by a car or taking this class again, I'm gladly choose the first one. Extremely rude old professor,she will fail you even if you do your work, can't email or talk to her after class she will yell at you. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASSSS CLASS !!!
