excellent teacher, makes speech class fun and interesting, and for those who are nervous about speaking in front of the class, like I was, he is the teacher to take! I did not feel threatened, or judged at all while doing my speech.

This guy is cool, funny, and very in touch with the students.

Mr. Jones is the best teacher on earth. He's funny, open minded, always wanting to learn new things, loving, and understanding. i have a little crush on him, even tho he's older than me, and married, but his personality is so awsome it made me like him.

Mr. Jones is a great teacher! He doesnt talk to you like you are a student. He talks to you like you are a real person and makes sure you are ok with speaking up in front of the class. Hes a cool guy. Nicely dressed too.

Jones is a good guy! He grades a little hard on the speeches, but the tests were easy and he does offer extra credit all over the board. All in all, it's a balanced class, but truly one I had to work for to get that A.

You have to take speech and you HAVE to take it w/ jones!! He was one of the best teachers at moraine and I recommend him to everyone!

Amazing teacher, you will have so much fun in his class. He makes you laugh all the time, he does everything possible to help you with whatever you need. I dreaded taking a speech class but he made it so comfortable for everyone. He's very laid back, really easy to talk to, and has a great sense of humor. I had taken other speech classes before and Mr. Jones' class was by far the best.

Best speech teacher ever an easy A class and he is sooooooooo funny!!Take him do not take appelquist whatever you do she makes you say your speeches without a podium and you can only have two "guiding" words on a note card and the rest of the 8minute speech has to be memorized!!take mr.Jones!!!!!!!

Very disorganized teacher. Forgets alot of things and struggles with names of students. More of a comedian than a teacher. However, when he wants to he actually does share his knowledge. No hw, 4 exams which can be done with out much knowledge of anything. Big points for outlines and recorded speeches. Show up+ decent speech= A

One thing you have to understand is though he's funny he's also a man who knows what he's teaching. I find him very helpful when it comes to giving speeches in front of people. I like him a lot and I think he can help anybody who takes him seriously. Thank God He's a teacher.

Who is Delwyn Jones? Don't get pregnant. Don't go horizontal. Do take this class. Learned a lot about the Japanese tea ceremony. The only trouble he has is working a DVD player. 311 is a great topic for your speeches.

Mr Jones is the best. Anytime i missed class i jsut e-mailed him and got caught up. He is most accomidating and understanding. He is very funny and he makes speech class fun. I am so glad i took him. His weekend advice is also great. 4 easy tests and 3 speeches and u get to pick the topic. He lets u know everything u need in ur speech. YourtheBest!

Mr Jones is one of the best teachers I had at Moraine. I am not the best in speaking in front of people i don't know, but he helps you any way possiable to get over the fear. Its not an easy A, but if you try and show effort, you will pass with flying colors.

DJ YOURE THE BEST! This speech class was incredible. This class was very fun and exciting it relieved your nerves about public speaking. It is great! I loved this class!! He is a hard grader but an excellent teacher.

I honestly loved this class. Hated public speaking, and literally dreaded the idea of taking this class. But jones makes public speaking def. easier. his tests r like his notes. hes not a bad grader on speeches, just PRACTICE b4 n make sure u have a rly good intro n concl!

Coach Jones is one of the best human beings I've ever met. Not only was I fortunate to have him for two courses 101/103, the school is fortunate to have him as a professor, and the educational world is fortunate to have him representing the education. He is truly one of a kind when it comes to greatness - from the toilet paper speech to the final.

OKAY, Mr. Jones was a great and funny guy but i was very disappointed with the outcome of my grade last semester! He said that we was willing to compromise as far as raising your grade and when i approached him with my request he told me that he would raise my grade b/c i attended all his classes but NEVER DID!!!

Ok i was not looking forward to this class even though i took his online class. But Mr. Jones makes it so much fun and when you go in for the speech he is so laid back and a cool guy. If you dont like your grade just go up to him and tell him and he will change it. But if you take his online class he takes a while to get back to you if you have a ?

Mr. Jones class is an interesting class, he goes to those places that not many teachers will (ex: discussing "the n word"). You really need to read the chapters and study, his tests will kill you if you don't!But, he is funny and really cares about his students. Also, provides tons of extra credit.

Professor Jones is the best! I needed to take speech for the nursing program and was not looking forward to it. Mr. Jones made speech fun and less intimidating. His quizzes were fair and the final was easy. If you are going to take speech, take it with Mr. Jones........he's the best!

I took his online section it was okay. The directions arent always clear and he doesn't always respond to his emails. Would rather take this class in person than online.

I took this online and it was great! Quizzes are easy and you just have to go on campus three times for speeches. He also offers a lot of extra credit. I would definitely recommend taking him.

An excellent instructor. He is definitely in the right profession. I was not looking forward to speech class because I hate public speaking and get super nervous, but am I glad I took JONES. The groups get broken down into just a few people and he is super cool so it helps calm the nerves. The book is needed for the tests and final. Take Jones!

this dude is an absolute BEAST he is just a cool dude (which he tells u day 1) he is laid back jokes alot he tells u right off the bat this is an easy A with minimal effort if u get a C or lower ur not even tryin total of 3 speeches an info a persuasion and a tribute and the tribute is very short n unorganized book never use in class again easy A++

Class was great. It was by no means easy but Prof Jones makes it enjoyable was always there for us. I learned lots and would recommend him as a professor to anyone!

D. Jones makes the course work easy and builds everybody's confidence for giving speeches. By the end of the class, even the quietest student can get up there and give a great speech. He answers your inquiries quickly, and uses many tools for the on-line classes. I highly recommend taking his classes.

Best teacher! Very helpful and makes it very difficult to not get an A! 4 tests, 3 speeches and attendance. He wants you to do well and is very helpful. Take Jones!! You will not regret it! You can maybe get by without the textbook but you'll need it to review for tests.

He is an EXCELLENT instructor! There is plenty of extra credit! His laid back and humorous personality will help ease any anxiety about public speaking! He also allows you to redo assignments for a better grade. Older editions of the textbook are ok. I used the 10th edition (art of Public Speaking Stephen Lucas)

I took Mr. Jones for Honors Com 103 and Interpersonal Communications 203, well what can I say. He is one the best instructors I've ever had at Moraine Valley. Mr. Jones is very funny, passionate about the subject, cares about the students and is always fair. The assignments are well explained. He is strict about the attendance. Easy A.

Mr. Jones is one of the best teachers you can take at moraine. Hes funny and makes you feel at ease about doing speeches. Her gives a ton of extra credit and tries to make class fun while teaching . 3 main speeches, but they are easier than you think because he preps you for them. If you can take him, do so. A++++ teacher.

Interpersonal Communication is a great class, ESPECIALLY with The Delwyn. He's hilarious, the class is very engaging, you talk about nothing but relate-able topics, very fun classroom discussions. He does have a tendency to slack when putting grades in, but the class is easy and fun so it really does not matter.

Mr. Jones is a lively, funny, knowledgeable professor. Jones is a fair grader, he allows room for discussion of grades. Offers extra credit, come to class and you will do good. Loves to make jokes, would definitely recommend taking his speech class.

If you are going to take m online, be aware of the this: outside of class, he is a very busy person. He is in charge of many organizations and I believe is a basketball coach for MVCC. He won't reply all of the time and will be absent at times. Good professor overall, and is very caring for his students, however, take the class in person.

He rarely shows up to class on time and sometimes may be a little unorganized which can be a little annoying. He helps a lot with your speeches and makes everyone feel comfortable! Delwyn is the chillest teacher ever. He's very forgetful and takes a while to put in grades but he's super to get along with and understanding. Easy A if you're afraid of public speaking. Also, he jokes around A LOT so don't take his jokes seriously at all. Overall just show up to class. That's all you have to do.

Jones is hilarious and makes everyone laugh. As long as you read for his pop quizzes and show up, you'll probably get an A. If you need a structured class, this may not be for you!

Jones made class very fun. He gives out LOTS of extra credit and his criteria for speeches is VERY clear. If you follow the rubric you'll get an A easily. However, the class was a bit disorganized and you will fall behind if you don't stay on top of the assignments.

Loved this prof. He made speech class fun and you can tell he loves what he is doing. He is very lenient with due dates but gives extra credit if you turn things in on time. Attendance was mandatory but it was totally worth it. I really enjoyed this course.

Hes a great speech professor and always extends due dates if students ask him to, he gives extra credit whenever he can and he just wants everyone to pass and have a good time. Such an easygoing teacher. He gave such helpful feedback on all the speeches, follow the guidelines and you should be good. Not too much homework, 18 easy 10 point quizzes for a free 180 points. You will have to put in some effort, but not too much to get an A. If you don't pass with an A or B, you honestly didn't try.

Great prof., he clearly loves what he does. Sometimes hard to reach outside of class hours and sometimes a little disorganized with dates. 3 speeches, chapter quizzes, and a couple group projects and LOTS of extra credit. If you put in effort, easy A.

Absolutely loved Mr. Jones. He was a gem who made speech fun. He cares for his students and wants them to get A's. Gives opportunities to make-up work. Gives a lot of extra credit. Lectures cover the textbook so it's not necessary to live in the textbook. Overall a hilarious and amazing guy. Would take him again 10/10.

Took his speech class online. We only had a total of 3 speeches and he graded really easily. I got an A on all of my speeches and I put them off to the last second. I recommend Jones for online classes !!

Professor Jones makes this required speech class a blast. He gives out a bunch of extra credit, doesn't grade harshly, and has a fun personality. There aren't many complaints I have about him and he was my favorite professor I had last semester. Make sure you sign up for his class as soon as possible since his spots fill up quickly.

Take his class over the summer! The easiest class ever. There is 3 speeches and easy quizzes for easy points. He also just a cool guy and gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. He made my first college class actually enjoyable

Super funny, relatable, and fair. A lot of extra credit opportunities, totally open to answering any questions. A lot of long introductory lectures to speeches, but only a couple of actual speeches- he makes sure you feel comfortable and prepared. 10/10 as long as you do the work, you will pass with a fine grade, plus he is super understanding.

Gives good amount of extra credit but is really a tough grader. I took him online if you taking him online have 6 people at least to pass your class if less he will take of points. But he is really nice and responds quick through canvas mail. Chill teacher

He was an amazing professor, always let us out of class early and never had homework. The amount of extra credit he offered was great. Never any tests just quizzes online due like every month. He only lectured for the first few weeks, then the rest of the semester were presentations. Some were group some were solo.

Professor Jones is one of those professors I was able to talk to outside of class about personal things and I really remember him for that. Overall, just a chill guy who is FUNNY ASL but his grading is a little strict, make sure you hit all the key points. He is NOT accessible outside of class, but he's a good guy and real.

I was scared of public speaking before this class, but he really makes everyone in the class feel heard and brought our class together. He does lecture some days, but they help you and are very funny and engaging. You do some group things in the beginning just to get comfortable and everyone is really supportive after you give your speech.
