I do not agree with below post, professor explains material good, if u listen to him in class you should do well and get your A,he is one of the best science professors at Pace,and there is nothing frightening in him, HE IS VERY HELPFUL!

If you pay attention and do the work you will do fine. The people saying he's not good never showed up to class and want everything there way. He's a good professor and very knowledgable in this area.

personally, im not the biggest fan of chemistry. still, i think demos is a great professor. the fact that we have the same lecture notes as he does and the fact that if anything our site is always uploaded is very helpful. not quite fond of the exams.

Although sometimes I misunderstand what is being taught in class,Demos is very passionate about what he teaches and his students.The person leavig these mean messages should stop!Your not judging his teaching but ruining his integrity as a professor.

I agree. Our professor is one of the better professors at Pace. He loves his line of work and teaches it to his best of his ability. He doesnt hate on no 1. Keep doing your thing priofessor!

Prof.Demos tries and he is actaully a good Prof. he reason as to why you continue to come on this site to insult him is unknown but if you have a problem with him you should go talk to him.

He is a great !college! professor. True, There is a lot of material in chem but A. tries to make it as manageable as possible with his humorous comments and the extra credit pnts. He is very caring and intelligent person; you can count on his support.

It was the "Grace of GOD", thank you JESUS, for guiding me through Physical Chemistry. Physical Chemistry is a nasty course to learn. Dr. Demos is a nice guy.

Stand up guy, really wants to see his students pass but makes sure they learn chem, everyone has their opinions and mine is that Demos gets his job done and the people who **** about him are the people who should not be taking a difficult major. maybe they should consider being a comunication major

A very nice man who will go out of his way to make sure his students learn the material they need to know. If you do your homework, it is difficult to mess up on the tests. His current students should realize how lucky they are to have him as a professor.

A nice guy, listens and takes into considerations the opinions of his students, very fair. Gives good notes and if you do your hw, tests should nt be too hard. People should really stop writing nasty comments about him because its not true at all.

A really great guy who really wants his students to succeed. So much that he makes it easier for them. DO YOUR WORK and you'll pass. People need to stop trying to blame him for being irresponsible. Chemistry is hard, do your homework and maybe you'll get it. Its your call people. Great instructor!

The course is hard period, not just the teacher. The only problems I had was that there were huge errors on 2 of the 4 tests we took. Sometimes is unclear. Is much clearer and considerate if you go and talk to him.

i liked him ,knew his work and allows u to take makeups if u have a good excuse.tests were easy. great prof.

Demos will help you no matter what. He is a great professor, especially if you spend some time with him outside of class. Also has helped me personally with other classes, and with dealing with other professors. Demos is truely one of the few that is concerned with his students and their progress through the program.

Amazing professor, can't believe such professors still exist. Wish he would teach all of my Bio and Che classes. A decent human being, the last of that breed. Hope his hip recovers quickly, because Pace can't afford to loose him. Look at the alternatives in Chem, I mean Cohen (I'd rather die than take her class).

He's really is a good guy and a good professor. The test pools were very helpful and the exams were fairly easy. As long as you read the notes and do the test pools you'll be fine.

Chemistry is not an easy subject but he is a very helpful teacher. It isn't hard to pass his class and his test pools are a Godsend; study that and the lecture notes and you can skip the textbook. Emails back students quickly. Always willing to help. Hope he feels better!

I love Dr. Demos. His tests are fair. He explains everthing and is understanding if you don't understand. You just have got to love Demos

people pass the class by memorizing answers from exam pool questions, easy class if you study,short multiple choice questions, nice guy who stutters, don't laugh

understanding teacher. read the lecture notes and GO TO LECTURE and u will be fine. no need to use the text book. i recommend him

Awesome wonderful teacher. Very understanding that people have a life outside of chemistry unlike SOME biology professors. Take him before the class fill up!!!

He is amazing!! He is very supportive towards his students and he is extremely fair. He doesn't expect you to be a bookworm but he expects you to come to his class and do your best. He explains the material very well, helps answer people's questions and his exams are very straight forwward. Do the pools go to lecture and you'll be fine!

Great Teacher, Great Mentor!

Very intelligent, cares if you care, mathematically oriented, stresses logical thinking. Can be hard to understand at times, but overall clear. Recommend: talk to him if you have questions, but come prepared, do a lot of sample questions (from the back of the book). If you show genuine interest and do a lot of questions, you'll have fun. Gl.

Demos is the best. The class is for students who will be taking the MCATs etc. and is geared toward that. Go to class, do the test pools, listen to what he says. The book is good to help you fill in the blanks. He loves what he teaches and that's contagious. All in all, very pleased.

Honestly, he intimidates me a little bit, but I think it;s the intimidation that propels me to do good in his class, not only because he challenges me, but because I'm scared to have to report to his office due to a bad grade!

I agree i think that he is passionate about his work, but sometimes i feel like he should explain things more clearly. When he goes over pool questions, i understand the material better.

Dr. Demos is a funny guy but he'll call you out on things for fun and if you're uncomfortable with that set up, the class might be a bit stressful. Other than that, he's passionate about his work as others have said and it does rub off on the students. He probably should encourage a more laid back environment so we can ask questions w/out feeling:/

I LOVE THIS GUY! He is hilarious, and he does a good job in lectures. In fact he is a great lecturer, but he wants comments so do not be quiet, especially as a class. He will get annoyed. Be very clear with your questions, and make sure you ask questions (or he'll think you're a tool). The exams aren't to bad, just do the poll a lot before.

He's a super awesome teacher. He's very funny. The tests are easy if you study the pools questions. I passed it with flying colors. Pay attention in class. He may pick on you and joke around and curses a bit. But he is very awesome.

Demos is hilarious. If you know your stuff, it is a breeze. He appreciates hard work, attentiveness, and critical thinking. He delights in seeing people participate. You cannot take his criticism to heart. He is pushing you so that you might improve yourself. His standards are high. If you are willing to put in effort, you are golden.

DO THE QUESTIONS POOLS, EVERY SINGLE OF THEM, AND YOU WILL BE TREMENDOUSLY FINE. He's funny and passionate and supportive. By the way, you will be doing yourself a favor if you don't take any of his word seriously other than course material during his lectures.

Make sure you do the pool questions and understand the material behind it and you'll be fine! He pulls exam questions from them and just changes the numbers. He can come off as rough sometimes, but he really is a funny, entertaining professor.

Demos really isn't that difficult. Yes he can be kind of abrasive in the way he talks but honestly, he doesnt give a lot of work and his test are EXTREMELY straight forward. When i say straight forward, i mean give you an example and change the numbers. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR? Show up to class, ask a question here and there, and study.
