Sister Chapman is an amazing teacher. Although attendance is graded, classes are always so much fun. She is a very interactive teacher and plans activities that keep everyone engaged. Sister Chapman also values her students and their learning. She is always willing to help and makes time for all her students. 100/10 would recommend.

Chapman is great, I thought she did a good job at teaching the reasoning part of writing & reasoning. Some of the creative writing was really fun. I think her class is set up so that if you pay attention, take time to make a relationship with her and listen to her input you'll end up a much better writer and therefore do well in her class.

Sis Chapman is great. She cares more about actually getting you to use your brain than she does about giving busy work. There really aren't "group projects," but there are a LOT of group activities. Be ready to participate and have fun, because that's what she likes to see. Some people have a bad attitude about it, but just go to learn and enjoy :)

Take this class! She is amazing! She is so caring and understanding! I had so much fun in this class compared to every other class. Every class was fun and entertaining, and the groups were engaging. You get to know everyone and make good friends! She wants you to succeed and will do everything to help you get there! If you need a GE, take it!

I loved Sister Chapman! She does not believe in busy work and she gives impactful feedback. Every assignment has purpose to it and you always learn something. There are group projects often so attendance matters. She responds fast and is willing to help always. Our class was so close because the way she designed it. Highly recommend taking her!

I love Sister Chapman! She is a solid teacher and I always loved attending class. The assignments she gives ALL HELP YOU COMPLETE THE MAIN PROJECTS!! In other words, everything you do has a purpose and it never seems pointless. I thought there was a lot more work to do when I first opened up canvas, but she works through the assignments in class.

Sister Chapman is an awesome teacher! You can see the dedication and the enthusiasm she has, and she is extremely caring. DO THE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS. It does counts a lot towards your grades. Also, do the reading assignments if you don't want to be left out on group assignments at the end of the semester.

Sister Chapmen is sick. She is kind and patient. The reading work isn't bad, we do have to read the entire princess bride, but that book is hilarious. Gives plenty of time to do your essays, but you do need to be on top of it or the deadline will sneak up on you. Overall she was awesome

Sister Chapman has been a wonderful english professor and was great in providing us assignments that form skills for the real world. I had two roommates who were taking this class the same semester from different professors, and I definitely had the best one. I had the funnest assignments, had the least amount of heavy homework assignments.

This professor is amazing. She brings a joy in English and when she teaches she makes English really fun to learn.

Sister Chapman was one of my favorite professors this semester! She's incredibly supportive and gives good feedback. Her class is engaging, and I feel confident I can apply the things I've learned in her class to my life and career, even though this is a GE credit course (ENG150). The workload was very manageable, and the assignments were relevant.

You will succeed in this class if you simply do the busywork. It isn't always easy but the work is never hard. I think this class is one of my favorite ones and I hate english. It has been a very funny class and Sister Chapman is an incredibly caring teacher who will do everything to help you succeed in this class. She is very considerate and fun.

She make an English class not feel like an English class. We learned how to communicate clearly and using a variety of forms of rhetoric. Participating makes the class a lot more fun.

In a world where teachers love to share their politcal ideals instead of actully teach, Sister Chapman is very focused on teaching the course and doing it well. She is kind and thoughfull, and willing to consider all opinions and teach students how to convey them better. She is willing work with her students to make them better. She had been great.

My professor was great! She was always willing to help me with anything I needed. She didn't waste time in class go over things we already knew and she always double the speed the videos so it didn't take to long. She also let us have fun doing mock trials! it was the best thing ever. She also took the time to get to know all of us in class.

I loved my experience in her class. She does a fantastic job of creating memorable class experiences, and she loves group work, so be ready to participate. We had multiple large scale group activities, most notably being a mock trial towards the end. While it was important to take it seriously, we were encouraged to have fun.

Professor Chapman assigns quite a bit of homework. When assigning papers, she gives lots of "busy work" leading up to it, and then asks you to write the entire paper in what feels like a short amount of time. But she gives very good and direct feedback and is willing to work and go over things with you. Be prepared for lots of group work too.

She is an amazing teacher and I've learned so much more in her class than I have in any other English class. Every assignment we did in class and out of class really helped me grow as a writer and I would absolutely recommend her to everyone!

Denalee Chapman is an excellent instructor for ENG150. Her class is both engaging and thought-provoking, especially during the critical thinking activities and mock trials. She is a clear and decisive grader on major essay assignments, so be ready to put in the effort. Through this course, I've grown significantly as a writer and critical thinker.

I really enjoyed the class. There is at least one in-class assignment in each class that you get 100% on just for showing up. There were quite a few big papers assignments, but all the assignments were helpful in preparation for the papers. Sister Chapman is a really kind and understanding teacher who is very willing to help improve your writing.

Sister Chapman wants you to succeed! She gives really good feedback, and helps you a lot on your essays if you ask for help. Theres a lot of in class group work, but out of class assignments are very reasonable and help a lot for preparing for the papers you need to write.

Sister Chapman is amazing, and the class was genuinely fun. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because most of the grade comes from the essays, yet we spent very little class time actually working on them. A lot of our time was spent on activities that were enjoyable but didn't help with the major assignments that affected our grade.

Sister Chapman is so fun in class and I would definitely recommend taking this class. There's lots of group projects and you often get points just for participating. The work load depends on the week but overall the assignments weren't too difficult and the group projects were pretty fun when you really get into it.

Sister Chapman is very nice. I took this class at 8am and it kept me engaged. You do fun activities in class and like 3-4 papers as well. She is sweet and you can turn in your papers early and get feedback then resubmit your paper for a better grade.

We do a lot with the other classmates, definitely one of the more interactive classes I've had. I already love writing, but the assignments in this class made it so much easier and enjoyable.

I really don't like writing but Sister Chapman made this class super enjoyable. There's lots of fun group interactions that made it worth going. Just make sure you get your stuff done outside of class. She brings an awesome positive attitude everyday. You can talk to her or the TA about any questions you have and they'll help you.

Sister Champman makes boring things not boring. The only criticism would be that we do A LOT of work. On top of writing multiple essays throughout the semester, you have to be doing group projects (trials) that are treated like a bit deal but are only actually graded on participation. I dislike group projects, that was the only major downside.

She's firm on how she sets the terms for assignments and semester goals, but she's very supportive and desires for every one of her students to grow and succeed.

Denalee is a great teacher! She puts a lot of effort into class and has great insights on writing. She also has great advice and answers any questions you have for the assignments in the class. The workload was a good amount, but it pays out for how much you learn.

I love the mock trials, this class was so fun! You have a paper every 3 weeks, but Sister Chapman will help you. I was able to miss 2 class, and 2 assignments worth 20 points and english is my second language and I still had a good grade. She gives you so many credits to just attend class. If you're okay with working a bit, take this class!

Loved the teacher and my classmates. The course itself... not so much. It was a crap ton of work, and I'm still stressing about my grades. We got to do mock trials near the end, though, and that was fun!

This class was by far my favorite out of any other classes I've taken. She really cares for her students, and she sets up a very healthy and comfortable environment. There was no textbook needed; however, we did read The Princess Bride. I personally bought the book, but you can listen to it for free on youtube! I love Sister Chapman!!

Sister Chapman is a wonderful human being. I always felt she cared so deeply about me and the class. For me, the class was super easy. Most everything what we learned (writing basics, rhetorical analysis, synthesis) was an exact copy-paste of what I learned in my high school AP Lang class, so I was had a pretty easy time. The trials are so much fun
