This was the best class by far I have taken here at CSU. Apodaca truly is the best professor I have had here at Colorado State. She genuinely wants students to enjoy class and succeed. She knows so much about music and is so passionate about the subject it makes me want to come to class and learn everything she knows. Also LOTS of extra credit!

The class is attractive and interesting, you can learn the knowledge of music from all over the world. I like the professor and she concerns the needs of students.Easy to follow the class. Although there are some quiz, they are easy!

Hi there, you guys should know there are so many professor they don't know what is education and student. But Denise is the best professor I have ever seen since I came to America from S.Korea. I loved being in Prof. Apodaca's music class. I really enjoyed going to her classes and listening to the different types of music shared in the class. The test were straight forward and simple. She is always understanding of yourself and your needs. Just attend her class and you earn the A. This class is a stress reliever from other hard classes.

She's as passionate about her students as she is music and while the class can be challenging at times she will make sure you learn. Every class is enjoyable. And she brings cookies.

Professor Apodaca is a great professor. She somehow manages to make a 200+ person class feel like a connected, open, and tolerant environment. She is truly a teacher, not just a professor, and cares about her students. I'm a senior, and out of every professor I have had, she is definitely the best.

Great Professor, I do not have any interest in music classes but I took Music Appreciation because of the humanities requirement. I don't regret it one bit, very good class and professor. Easy essays, although attendance is required if you want an A. Do the x-credits!

You have a million extra credit opportunities, especially days with really low attendance. Class participation is only ten points the few times she does do them. Other than that, the class was fun!!

Prof. Apodaca places care of her students above her curriculum. For example my favorite thing about her class is that she allows students to present on their favorite music and how it is important to them. This adds a level of humanity that you won't find from professors. This supports her claim that music is the "Universal Language" for humanity.

I took MU 100 with Professor Apodaca. This class was one of the best classes i have taken in college so far. EASY CLASS

Denise is not only one of the greatest professors that I've ever had, but one of the greatest people that I've ever met. She teaches with passion and truly loves her students and wants them to be just as passionate about music as she is. A great lady.

The class was very interesting and a lot of fun. I like to think that I know a lot about music, but somehow I always left the lectures coming away with something new. There was no shortage of enthusiasm either. There's nothing worse than a teacher that doesn't give a crap about what they teach; that problem will never exist here.

The course is very easy to get an A. However, this is not the main reason why this instructor is awesome. This is the course that every student will attend willingly after first couple of classes. The reason for this is professor Apodaca's enthusiasm while teaching.

Mrs. Apodaca demonstrates the skills of an excellent professor if not the best at CSU. As an athlete she really brings you into the class as a whole learning all the material in a fun entertaining environment singlehandly making every class period worthwhile. In class participations are important, but it doesn't matter because the classroom environment is great and makes you not mindactually want to go to class. She is very personable and you get to watch youtube videos and student presentations very often.

Professor Apodaca was very respectful to all of the students.

You get points for going to class on random days as well as extra credit. She makes the lectures fun and has fun videos or performers to present everyday. There are about 5 tests but they are all online so they aren't bad. There is an online textbook but I didn't go on it a single time and still ended up with almost 100% in the class.

I looked forward to her class everyday. If you have the opportunity to take a class with this woman I would HIGHLY advise it. You will not regret it.

If your doing MU100 for an Easy A, you must do it with Denise Apodaca. Workload is the absolute minimum vs other prof and she made the class enjoyable! If you never turn up to class you'll miss out on a a lot of extra credit and attendance points but you'll still pass with a B. Even if its a 8am i'll choose her over others anyway.

Super great teacher!! She keeps lecture interesting but makes it very clear that it is a "technology free zone." Tests are super easy and online. Participation is worth a lot of the grade so if you want an A you better go to class.

So far Denise Apodaca has been the greatest professor I have taken since attending CSU. She will do anything for her students, and she makes her classes fun. I could have her class at 8am with winter storm conditions outside, and I would walk to attend that class. I highly recommend taking this class with her before you leave Colorado State.

As many of other students will agree, Professor Apodaca is one of the most amazing teachers at CSU. Her soul and love for teaching is always there and she teaches really well. Plus, she's hilarious and it was always a good start to my mornings. Definitely go to class. She has class participations that will eventually kill your grade.

Take this class. It counts as an art credit and is easy. Does easy class participation like drawing whatever you want. Gives in class extra credit and optional extra credit. Exams are online and easy. Exams are from her powerpoints. Book is only used to take online exams. Most of all, she's passionate and makes a boring class fun and interesting.

Prof. Apodaca is hands down the best professor at CSU, and probably in the world. She really cares about her students and what she teaches. I had her in a credit recovery course from 6:30-8:30 pm MTW. It was hard to drag my lazy ass there, but it was always worth it. I give Apodaca a 7000000/10 rating. Easily my favorite professor ever.

I absolutely love this professor. She is incredibly knowledgeable and gifted with music, and has inspired me. Apodaca is easy to talk to and really helps her students. She cares so much about her students, and even though she has over 300 students in a semester, she will read each individual paper that you turn in to get to know you and the class.

Students can tell that Apodaca is very passionate about world music. This class is a BIT harder than MU100, but the payoff is huge. I have learned incredible amounts from her inclusive lectures and the numerous presenters. She also has a personal relationship with each person in the class and really cares about how you are doing.

Take MU 100, its a grade booster and a soul booster. I learned next to nothing but I felt happier and connected more with music. Almost no homework, you can literal google the answers to her tests, and she really cares.

Denise is amazing, caring, empathetic--she loves students who are vulnerable with her, and everyone is important to her. She understands the struggles of life, and her expectations of her students reflect that.

Great teacher, fun class to go to especially when you've got a lot of boring classes. I'd show up just cause sometimes she has a easy in class activity for credit.

Professor Apodaca genuinely cares about her students. Most of the classes are listening to musicians, except for a few lectures here and there (and they don't last the whole period) All exams are online. Lots of class participation and extra credit. Very difficult to fail and fun class to relax and have fun in.
