Miss Engler is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I had just graduated from high school hating english even though it was my favorite subject (because of the teacher). She got my heart back into english and i looked forward to her class everyday. the work wasnt too hard it was just very time consuming. shes hilarious. TAKE HER CLASS!

She is an awesome teacher. She's hilarious! Don't let your phone ring or you'll be singing to the class.She's really helpful and explains exactly what she wants. She's one of the best teachers I've ever had.

Denise is friendly and helpful, she really cares about how you do in the class. Denise is energetic and fun, I promise you wont fall asleep in her class.

Ms. Engler is SO amazing! Her 7 steps to writing a great essay really helped and teaches you how to write a good essay. You can do rewrites on the essays too for better grades. There is homework almost every night but its not hard at all :). I highly recommend taking her. You'll get a good grade if you do the work, I got a B. :)

I had EngWr 102 and enjoyed Professor Engler as my teacher! She is a very lively and funny person. In addition, she makes writing essays a lot easier by teaching us usage of outlines and rough drafts. The essay topics were challenging but also fun. She did a great job of preparing me for EngWr 300.

She is an awesome teacher. I have learned a lot from her and I am taking her Engwr 300 right now and my grammar has improved extremely since I been in her class. I recommend you take her if anybody.

This professor is by far the most amazing and laid back professor in all of ARC. Her teaching styles work effectively and she is very flexible with due dates. I enjoyed her class and its impossible to fall asleep in her class. If you do manage to fall asleep she'll spray you with a water gun!

She's hilarious and keeps you entertained. I'm in her Friday three hour long class and it goes by like a flash. It's a little harder just because of the whole Friday situation, other than that she's great, gives you re-writes and helps you out whenever she can. Makes you sing if your phone goes off. Beware!!!

Professor Engler is such an amazing person who clearly loves her job and her students. She is always willing to go above and beyond for those who seek her help, and is happy 100% of the time. Even though the class is a writing class, her presence made the class my favorite and I ALWAYS looked forward to going. Would DEFINITELY take her again!!!

She's a really nice person and will sit with you if you are lost on anything. She grades decent on essays and gives rewrites. A lot of surprise quizzes are given out about the homework, oh and there's homework every night (it's a writing class). Essay topics are nice ones so writing the essays isn't much of a hassle either.

She's really interesting and funny. Her class flies by because she knows how to keep us entertained. HOWEVER, she gives a lot of pop quizzes, so do the reading every night. There is a lotttt of reading for homework, and I felt that she didn't allow enough time for the essays either. Could have given us more help with those. I'd probably retake her.

AMAZING professor. :) Lots of pop quiz so make sure you do your hw! She drop the lowest quiz. She let you rewrite every essay for a better grade. (Except the last one because it is due at the end of the semester). Love her class. Highly recommended!

I learned a few things in this class and found a few friends! She is funny and energetic. too much homework in my opinion and so many of them are not necessary. However she lets you rewrite every essay (except for the last one) and gives a lot of extra credit if you do the RAD and WAC. I wound't suggest this class to my friends.

Prof. Engler is so quirky and cool! I loved her class and became really close with all of the students in it as well. She is fun and chooses interesting and exciting topics to write about. She gives things called quizzies which are easy if you actually do what she says! she gives a lot of them so they are easy points if you are a good student!

LOVE her class. Professor Engler is a great professor. She gives us tons of extra credit. You can get up to 60 points! There is a lot of homework in her class, but its do-able. A lot of pop quizzes, but the quiz is easy if you do the homework. 4 6-7 pages essay, and she lets you rewrite for 3 of them for a better grade. I recommend her! Take her!!

I took Engler for 300 as well and loved her just as much then as I do now. She is an amazing professor that is passionate about what she does. It is easy to smile and laugh around her and she makes writing college level papers easier than you'd expect. She's amazing and I would (and do!) recommend her to everyone!! =)

I took 2 classes with her and she is really nice. Helps you a lot if you go to her office. Her material is hard though and you have to put effort to earn a good grade. Recommend taking if you want to learn. Don't recommend if you want an easy A cause it's not gonna happen.

She is great! Very funny makes you wake up and pay attention. A lot of writing 4, 5 page papers in a semester. But what did you come to college for? Every night homework but not hard. TAKE her she is helpful, funny, and you will learn!

Funny, witty, bright, very fun teacher. I recommend taking notes, they will be useful for homework and quizzes. She gives out surprise quizzes so make sure you READ and ANNOTATE all the handouts and essays she gives out. and do the homework. Total of four essays in the semester. When assigning essays she explains it step by step.

Take her! She's awesome! She's really fun and silly but also knowledgeable! Unlike the teachers in high school, she's open to new ideas and always willing to help. When she assigns you an essay to look over make sure you do it because it'll be on a quizzie (that what she calls them lol) guaranteed.

Oh my goodness, how lucky I was to have Miss Engler for my first class. She made class something I actually looked forward to, which is totally ridiculous. I didn't enjoy writing the papers, but who does? She really gives you all of the tools to succeed. Bright, fun personality. Highly, highly recommended. It isn't an easy class, but worth it.

Wow, she is very enthusiastic about writing and literature! Truly one of the classes that have changed my life. She is a tough grader, but she really prepares you to do well. She's super helpful as well. I think she gave bonus points if you went to RAD and WAC. Very high caliber teacher!

She is fun, but tends to get too caught up in socializing, loses track of class time. Homework every night due before the end of class, not difficult but expect to do lots of work out of class. Grades FAIR, not easy, she genuinely wants you to succeed. Great help if you want it, office hours. Don't take it if you want an easy A. She makes it fun!

MRS.E is the Best english teacher at this school! she is always there for her students and wants them to succeed you put forth the effort and you will get a good grade and of there's homework its college

she's really nice and funny. no speeches(thank god). write 4, 6 page essays per semester. get to watch the Movie Crash and read The Glass Castle. just don't let your phone go off-makes you sing! and class gets to pick song. haha

i adore engler! im an average student, and after her course i feel like a 5 page paper is a piece of cake! she will spend time with you if you need it, quizzes and minimal hw each night. take her if your unsure who to take.ive had her for 2 writing courses and improved extremely each time! she makes class fun and is a very bubbly teacher, take her!

Great teacher! She is very animated and clearly enjoys teaching. Her singing, strange metaphors, and exampled helped me remember things. She does give a lot of homework though, that'd be my only complaint. Otherwise, I recommend her all the time. Great teacher!

Ms. Engler has a great personality, and her lectures were enjoyable! Time flew by. She does assign homework, but not to much. Some students missed class or just didn't try. She grades pretty good. Quizzes can be tricky, but if you just do the homework and write the essays, you will pass. Anyone can get an A in this class if they want.

Prof. E is a blast to have a class with. She's energetic and makes lectures interesting. Even more than that, she's incredibly helpful. One of the best teachers I've experienced. Of course, there's quite a bit of hw and essays, but that's to be expected of an intro to english course.

Professor Engler is an amazing instructor! The class isn't easy, and the pop quizzes will get you at times, but an A is definitely doable. She's a great professor with good humor. However, essays and homework need to turn in on due date, and on time, if on due date you turn in your essay 20 min after class started it will be considered late. Anyway, there's going to be group projects and lots of work and research for your essays. Quizzes are based on materials in class and homework.

Miss Engler is awesome! She is passionate and funny, definitely a fun class, however be prepared to work. This is a college level writing course so you must write but if you go to RAD and WAC she gives you extra credit applied to your essays, do the work get a good grade that is all

Engler is a super mellow, funny, and happy person. You can always find her coming to class in a great mood, which actually brings the class to life. Everybody loves her, because she speaks clearly, responds to students, and keeps the class participating, so it never feels like a lecture. Definitely worth taking if you can.

Miss Engler is a great professor. She always there to help when needed. She is not boring at all. Her papers are tough but gives lots of help if you ask. If you take WAC you will receive 15 extra credit points to your lowest scoring essay. Its not an easy A class but as long as you keep up on the work and do the re-writes for essay you will be fine

She is the the best professor I have had so far. Although she does give quite a bit of homework and then turns around and give you about 1 1/2 weeks-2 weeks. to turn in a final draft for an essay, she is great. She makes hilarious jokes, speaks improper grammar on purpose, & best of all, she believes carbs are the key to extra credit. *hint hint*

I took Professor Engler for all of my WAC conference appointments b/c she was that amazing!! I had a tough Rhetorical essay to write about a presidents speech & she made the assignment crystal clear to understand VS. my writing teacher :( I'm not sure how she is in her lecture classes (read other comments) but in WAC she is the best!!

Well, she really wants to make the class an enjoyable and learning experience. -She assigns too much mandatory homework, but homework is related to other stuff in class. That is the ONLY con of the class. - She is funny and caring, you will never get bored in class -You won't pass the class, if you dont do the homework or miss classes.

I had to retake the class because I wasn't prepared for the quick pace but I chose her again as my professor. She is very bubbly & enjoyable, & she makes the hours seem much shorter. She actually reads through your submitted assignments, & she gives constructive feedback without making you feel like a doofus. Knows what she's doing & does it well.

Professor Engler-Lynch is by far one of my most favorite professors Ive taken throughout college! She is super funny, bubbly, and makes learning so much fun! My rate of difficulty is due to: Friday 2-5pm during the Spring. There was four essays: 1st one is about you, 2nd essay surrounding one quote from the book "The Glass Castle" which you will read, 3rd essay about a character from "Crash", 4th persuasive. She may have changed them, enough homework to keep you busy, tough grader. SUPER AMAZING Gal.

I enjoyed taking her class. She's so funny and bubbly. You just can't have your phone out or you can sprayed with a little water gun! She made the time go by fast and made the learning fun. She's probably one of the most coolest teacher ever. I honestly learned so much from her and I still use all her techniques while writing my essay. Her and Susan are probably the best professor when it comes to english. It was a tues/thur class, roughly 2 and half hours and usually I would dread that but she made the time go out fast and is so fun!

I have taken a 5 unit Hybird class with Engler. It isn't convenient for student and overwhelming . You can lose points on attendance quizzes and H.W is due on WEDNESDAY not Friday. You've to write 7-8 page 3 essays with is 7500 words. You've to strictly follow her instruction. You can get A if you spend time with her at WAC session. Recommended!

She's a funny teacher and I would go in one of her classes again, however she is tough when it comes to work (especially essays). English Writing 300 at ARC requires a lot of papers to write but it's soooo worth it. Not to mention but she is a good friend you can always joke around / relate to. Highly recommend (minus the hw) haha that's no fun.

Professor Engler is a great teacher. She really cares about her students. If you do the work you will pass. She loves it when you ask for help. I would go to her office hours for help with my essays. She would sit with me for an hour editing them with me. I always got great grades because of this.

Truly an amazing Professor!!! Just complete the work and youll get an A. There are a TON of annotation and summary writing assignments, but they are only time consuming and dont take much brain energy. She also weighs the 3 formal essays 20% each, but as long as you follow instructions, and turn things in ON TIME, youll be good.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND! EASY CHOICE! Professor Engler is one of the most exciting and enthusiastic people I've ever met. Seriously, she is so much fun. As a teacher, she's agreeable and really cares but won't hesitate to ask about something if it seems wrong. She is competent in her subject. I recommend her classes just to be able to meet her!

I absolutely loved this class and Prof.Engler, she definitely wants to see her students succeed. I will be a lot of read and annotate HW worth 5pts each you can afford to miss a few. There are 3 essays worth 100pts each but trust me if you follow along with the assignments writing these will be easy. She responds to emails. Take her class.

I honestly loved professor Engler. She's super funny and sweet. the hw pacing is a bit weird, because it would feel super easy and then super hard but overall it's doable. The content is boring sometimes but she tries to make things fun. Be prepared for her to talk to you and ask personalized questions during roll call lol. Love her though

Professor Engler is one of the best writing teachers I've ever had! She cultivates an environment that helps everyone learn and grow. She isn't afraid to admit when she doesn't know something, and the whole class feels like a collaboration towards growth. I absolutely recommend her, but be aware that ditching class costs you points!

I took her for ENGWR 480 and I would say she doesn't ask much of you. She's very lenient and has her clear guidelines laid out for the class and really only expects that you follow them. Her homework is very easy and can be done within an hour before class. She allows essay rewrites for an averaged score but is a fair grader. Would recommend!

Denise was amazing and helped me with all my courses this semester! She takes the time to sit with you one on one, and helps answer all your questions. I received great and very helpful feedback. She also went out of her way to help me out with another issue that was unrelated to the class, which really showed that she cares! Thank you Denise!
