Great Proffessor, she assigns a lot of work, but is very lean and allows you a lot of extra time, but then again what EN101 class is very less work, So i definitely recommend her, you will definitely be satisfide with taking any course she teaches.

She is a super nice professor. even if you don't come to class, you still can pass her class. she is very patient and kind. she is the best professor i've even met.

The best teacher I've ever had. She assigns a lot of homework but you can always ask her for more time. Go to class, do the homework, show some interest, and you’ll end up getting an A.

This was an easy class no matter who taught it, but Professor Folwell is such a sweet person!!! She was helpful, encouraging and patient with the most...well, remedial....students in the class. This is a really good elective to take because you can't help but earn an A and it really lightens your course load.

I took her myth class which was interesting. She seemed devoted to myth. Sometimes class was boring. Work was easy and the quizzes/tests were fair. The prof is quite lenient and forgiving. As long as you show that you find the topic fascinating, then you'll be alright. I was really into the content so doing the work was not a hassle for me.

Prof. Forwell is one of the best Prof I met @ MC. She is super nice especially for international students. She likes to help the students. I took EN101A and EN122, got both A. If you work hard, it is not hard to get an A. If you are not a lazy guy, it's easy to get a B. Highly recommend!!

Very kind and sweet Professor. I highly recommend her. Im very very very dyslexic and she took the time to help me. She also let me write my papers on this that interested me. She also gives great feedback and edits your papers for grammer and such before giving them back. I cant wait to take another class with her.

IhadProf.Follwell for a poetry class...I lovedit.But then again,I love poetry. She is an angel,and she gave very helpful critiques in workshops.

She's a little odd, but overall is a good teacher. Took a summer class with her and got an A. It was pretty simple. I highly recommend her.

She is a very nice professor. She is very helpfull. There are three take home essays. Always go to tutoring center. There is one final in class essay. Her class is easy. If you need help with your papers just ask her. She could help you a lot!. There is a little book that you will have to read(easy) and make journal entries. Highly Recommended!

I took her for intro to lit on saturday morning. I really liked the class structure, we basically read and analyzed our textbook as a class. A few papers and assignments were given but everything flowed well. She is a great teacher!

If you are really interested in learning, take Professor Folwell classes, she is VERY knowledgeable, clear, and she cares for students. She is flexible in terms of deadlines but still you have to submit all papers. You will get feedback, she actually READS what you write. I've taken 2 courses with her. She is an A PLUS Professor.

She is one of the best professors that I ever had. She explains well and will help you to understand, even if you ask ten times. She is not strict with attendance and paper dues as long as you are fair too. I hope I could get more class with her, Highly recommended.

Took her in 09. If you plan to take EN209 - Bible as Literature, do yourself a favor and do not take her! Wayyyyy to much work, reading, essays, journal entries. Ledermans class is better IMO.

I Feel she was extremely understanding though she was ill for most of the semester, she is an extremely intelligent women and wants to help others in the class as long as they commited. She was really nice and I wish her the best!!!! SWEETEST LADY ON EARTH!!!

Professor Folwel is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She does take time correcting papers because she actually reads them and gives you feedback. She is a wonderful woman who truly cares for her students. Her knowledge of literature is impressive. By far one of the best professors at MC.

It is a sadly rare occurrence to find a professor that can fully communicate what he/she needs to, to each and every student, this is one of the few. Highly recommended.

Professor Folwell is an easy class to take. She is really understanding and cares about you passing. If you miss any assignments she let you turn them in before grades go in just so that you can pass. She is a really nice lady. Lucky to had taken her.

Prof Folwell is very nice, and has a good knowledge about mythology. In this class, we had quiz everyday on the readings, 2 group presentations, 2 papers, and a final. May seem easy, but it actually isn't. She also takes a very Iong time to return papers, some never got back. The class is extremely boring most times, and there is a lot of reading.

Denise Folwell is a very helpful professor, she is so sweet. Just pay attention, and ask questions if you're not sure about something. Seriously, as long as you do your assignments and do not procrastinate you should pass the class. She gives classwork from the book, and sometimes homework. I really enjoyed having her as my professor.

I took the poetry class and it was a fun class. She teaches the material well and really supports her students. She is a very, very, nice person and everyone liked the class.

Great professor but i thought she was real tough. There were a few things that i though she asked for too much but cares about everyone understanding. Calls on people to read out loud. Super patient with students turning assignments in. Very sweet & friendly. Loves to work one on one with you in/out of class.

Professor Folwell understands that we as students have a life outside of college, and she will help you to stay on top of things; of course if you also do your best to. For example, I am an actor and I couldn't make it to class for a couple of times because of NY auditions. She understood when I explained it to her, and she helped me work around it

Professor Folwell , is a very loving and caring professor ; I love her personality and she always has conferences with student on essays before turning them in ,that way they can do their best. but she tends to take a very long time to grade papers and can be a little disorganize at times. Other than that I would still recommend her.

She is a great professor. I had her first semester and taking her second semester just because of how lovely she is. She gives great feedback and is extremely understanding.

Amazing teacher she's very nice, soft spoken, and caring for the students. She doesn't send a lot of papers, but still have to spend time doing them. She gives you a lot of opportunities to make up your mistakes so be organized and take them!

Professor Folwell is amazing. She really cares about her students and the subject of women's studies. She is extremely understanding and flexible when it comes to due dates and gives out really interesting and fun assignments. I took her mythology class last summer and really enjoyed it. There were two group presentations, which typically I would typically hate but they weren't too involved and she graded them easily. Pretty interesting lectures and a lot of reading but the tests are easy enough.

Took film & literature with her. She made it clear what was expected of students. It was relatively easy, but there were quizzes on the regular, & papers had specific prompts. She'll work w/ you, just show her you're willing.

She is an incredibly sweet lady, I'm so sad I took her extended winter course that was only 2 weeks because I wish I could have taken a full semesters class. She is incredibly kind and she really cares about her students. She's soft spoken and her personality is like honey. If you want a professor who cares TAKEHER! She's a really great professor!

She is a lovely person. If you show up & do your work, then you are sure to do well. 3 out of class essays (1 personal narrative, 1 analysis, 1 argumentative), 1 in-class essay, & some ungraded assignments. Although she did not post midterm grades, the feedback she gave if you asked about anything during class time was always helpful & clear.

She is a very sweet teacher. If you listen to what she says and do your work, you will get an A in this class. If you have problems and will not be able to turn something in on the date, just talk to her and she will work with you. She will have the class go around reading a couple times but it is not as bad as it sounds. 10/10 prof! Good person!!

Such a kind-hearted lady! Gives clear instructions, easy grader, and gives you plenty of time to do assignments. Don't worry about due dates. This is an easy course. Just do the work (even poorly) and you'll ace it.

I took her class for ENGL 011 and ENGL 101. The assignments/reading is not that bad-- just keep up with the reading and DON'T leave things to the last minute, and this class will be much easier (especially if you have additional classes you're taking at the same time.) Also, participate in class if you can; this will help a lot, too.

This professor wants her students to succeed, kind hearted and understanding. Be sure to turn in every assignment and this could be an easy A class. Amazing professor!
