she is really nice and helpful and makes a boring subject not so hard to learn. She really likes her students and her job.
She is one of the nicest people at the college. She is funny and smart and remembers everyones name. I did not want to take this class but Professor Haggerty brings history to life.
Mrs. Haggerty is the BEST teacher she is very exciting and makes everything easier to learn about. Write down good notes almost everything she says is on the test. Her class was fun and I never fell asleep-
SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!! and easy
Very sweet person, remembers names very quickly, is very reasonable with tests, review, hw, everything. Highly recommended!
very friendly and enthusastic about class. makes what i thought would be boring to learn a lot of fun and easy to understand.
proffesor Haggerty was one of the best Proffessors that i had here at Suffolk. she actualy cares about wether you understand the topic she is explaining. she is very friendly and her test are not hard at all because she will tell you exactly what is on the test.
is very friendly. at start of semester i wasted time reading the textbook. you don't need to do this. just read into, first paragraphs and find facts. On her three exams study notes and know some def. she is easy to get an A in her class and she does not make it boring in class. into women's rights.
great!!
she is so nice and she understands that students take this class b/c they have too. She gives you a study sheet if you ask as a class and sometimes extra credit. If you try you can get an A.
She’s an awesome professor. Not only is the woman smart, but she’s extremely interesting. She gives helpful study sheets and informative lectures. I’d defiantly recommend taking her.
good teacher, very nice lady, helpfulness,
Prof. Haggerty seriously is the BESTEST!!!! I highly recommend you taking her classes, she is smart, sweet, helpful, understanding, enthusiastic. Her love for teaching her her students make her class worthwhile! Do what you can to get into her class!
Wow she's just awesome..tests are fairly easy if you study all the notes and she doesn't talk too fast so you will have time to write them down. She also gives review sheets before each test and gives you the essay questions so you can plan ahead what you want to write about! =) she's funny also. I'm taking her for HS12 next semester!
Best Professor everrr!!!! Seriously take her classes, she is wonderful! Professor Haggerty makes class enjoyable... she is so sweet, interesting, helpful, lovely lady! I wish there were more classes I could take with her. I highly highly recommend Prof. Haggerty! OoO and she is Irish too... doesn't get any better than that!!!!
I love Prof. Haggerty! Her tests are easy..very sweet and kind..wholesome mom type..great stories as well..def would recommend her to anyone!
She is very helpful, open for discussions, flexiable. Her knowledge is kind of limited to the subject, so don't ask her questions that are requiere in depth research, but I still enjoyed her classes
If you believe in equal rights for women than you ARE a feminist. No shame in believing in feminism. She was one of the best teachers I've had in a long time. She takes the time to clearly interpret subjects for you. She makes history very "real" and "earthy" which makes it easier to remember. She is very down to earth. Highly Recommend!
ditto to that. amazing woman, breath of fresh air. A
best teacher ever. she is interesting and her tests are easy. gives study guides and anything you need to do well. shes so nice and likes every student. treats everyone like her equal. really terrific. take her and you'll be happy.
She is terrific. I was dreading taking this class, but I am actually enjoying every minute. Her enthusiasm is catchy. She goes above and beyond what is necessary to make sure her students do well.
Great Teacher, Fun class, Makes history enjoyable.. Gives u many opportunities to do well.. Take good notes.. I took good notes and didnt even use the text book and walked away with an A.. Great teacher TAKE HER if u can
This was a good class. Ms. Haggerty is a very nice, helpful and patient lady. Makes history exciting, fun and somewhat on the easier side than most professors. Exams come right out of the notes and she gives out a review sheet before every exam. Do all of the work and you shouldnt have any trouble getting an A or a B.
Very easy professor for a very important distribution requirement.
She is a wonderful professor! She keeps the class interesting. I was terrible in History until I took her class, she makes it seem so easy.Take her class!
She is absolutely amazing. Really sweet lady with a whole lot of information to share. She makes everything crystal clear and if there are any questions, she takes the time to explain. If you have a chance, take her! I guarantee you'll love her. Everything's very straight forward and laid back so tests (usually 3) are fairly easy but read the text!
really nice teacher... she really cares about the students... i had her during a summer month course and i really dont like history but she was a very good teacher to have... id def. take her again
Know how to read, Know how to write, attendance and textbook a must. Cool lady. I'd take her again.
I LOOOOOVE HER! She really makes history interesting. She insipired me to make it my major. Before taking her class I was unsure but she makes everything so interesting. She gives GREAT review sheets and for an extra bonus she gives you the essay question on the review sheet.
Amazing nothing short of that would do her justice. She works hard and genuinely cares about her students. Easy to talk to about anything historical or otherwise. Her tests arent cake walks and there are papers but nothing terrible and nothing that cant be done. Go to class pay attn and try to actually get to know her because she is one in a millio
she is awsome. i love this teacher! she is very understanding and makes everything very easy to understand. she is so helpful. you only have three tests and three papers that she gives you the first day of class so you have more than enough time to do them and she gives you oppurtunities to get extra credit on every test. she is great TAKE HER!
Took her for HS11 & HS12 because she is a truly amazing lady. Even if you don't like history you will enjoy being in her company. She is awesome !
she's really nice but omg the class is SO boring.
she's great, but i still hate history
Really good teacher, interesting and easy grader. NO PAPER FOR THIS CLASS just 3 reaction papers articles and 3 test. Easy, you would be stupid not to take her.
Bad teacher she talked and talked and talked about nothing important. We were very far behind. I did poorly the first 2 tests based on stupid spelling errors...Her paper was based on a very boring book. I dropped the class and my friend who wants to be a history major got a D in her class
Good professor, very helpful a few papers and tests werent that hard. She does give extra credit. Must read the text book and pay attention in class to do well.
She is allright. Took her summer course and you need to pay attention and READ the book to pass...She'll give you a sheet on whats going to be on the test and you need to study. Her papers were easy and easily graded in my opinion. They were only 3 and she gave one for extra credit which is good.
She is a wonderful person, as well as professor. Very easy to pay attention to and always has a smile on.
She is a great professor! I took her for both Western Civ. 1 and 2. She isn't a hard grader and she doesn't give a lot of work. I do suggest you read though. She also has a god sense of humor! :)
Haggerty is the professor everyone should take. Her classes are like stories and she is very helpful. Reading the textbook helps a lot and going to class helps all the more. Her honors class is the best, very small and you have great discussions. Tests are mediocre and project is time consuming.
Really helpful teacher. Her tests weren't too bad, just make sure you read the textbook AND read the notes. Go to class and participate and you should have no problem getting an A. Also informs students about stuff going on in the honors program, which is helpful since not all honors teachers go over stuff related to the program.
Professor is an excellent teacher, and is always prepared for class. She makes things easy to understand, but you have to do the readings and trust me she knows who does the readings. She is an asset to SCC.. Thank you
Exactly what every prof at SCC should be like--take example! Deff one of the best profs at SCC every student should get the chance to experience her as a teacher! Really friendly and gives great advice! Tells you exactly what you need to know and gives a review sheet for test--again great prof, hopefully taking her again! She should get a raise! =]
she is great at teaching
Wonderful professor. The class is not all that difficult, and professor Haggerty does a terrific job of making the material easier to learn. I highly recommend you take her classes.
one of my top professors. makes history fun and easy to undertsand. highly recommmended. she's the best. some test are hard, some are easy. give a week to do paper. best teacher ever
The best professor ever. Take her if you get a chance. she is very easy grader and makes class fun. She only has 3 exams, one book report, and one 10 minute presentation. She is very fun and makes class interesting. She is very helpful.
Easy class, took it in the winter,if you want an easy A but not learn anything take her. She just lectures you just for her test, and not your knowledge.I wouldn't consider her a real historian because all she does is get it form the text, when people ask questions, she is very hesitant. And plus shes a big liberal, and wheres peace signs every day
Great teacher, took her in the winter also... I wouldn't listen to the guy below me though, she knows what she is talking about and answered every question (even the ones from the jackass self-proclaimed history expert) 3 Tests 2 papers, couldn't be easier
She is a great professor, one of my favorites. She is a such a sweet lady and very knowledgeable. You will actually enjoy taking her class. I 100 percent recommend taking her course.
good teacher, se cares about history and her students. she gives you review sheets which help narrow the material down. i really didn't read the text. i would sometimes look up a word on the review sheet. she has a day of review. really good teacher. would totally rec her.
Taking her summer Western Civ II She's great.
Amazing professor. You need to be an absolute idiot not to take her for western civ 1&2. Made everything easy, a few scan tron tests and a few papers but nothing stressful. Attendance policy is very lenient. Perhaps one of my favorite teachers at Suffolk. will always provide help with curriculum or even scheduling. Amazing all together
Pro. Haggerty is an awesome teacher she has some humor to her she tries to take her life and put it in our discussions so we have a better outlook on whatever we are talking about. She gives review sheets which was awesome and a review before test!! i took her for a summer class. I love her She is off the wall!!!! Very nice and a positive look.
Prof Haggerty is not only a good prof but such a good person as well. She wants you to do well & tries to make history interesting. Recommended.
Best history teacher. made it very interesting. Her tests are fair and she's so nice. Go to her class and take notes and you'll get an A.
this is the only person who has ever managed to keep me awake in a history course! they say that in europe, history is taught like a story. perhaps the fact that europe knows our history better than we do is attributed to this style of teaching, which professor haggerty employs. she's also very fair and goes above and beyond to be helpful.
She was a great teacher. make sure you take notes so you can find everything easily when you go to make your cheat sheet for the test.(which she allows) Only 3tests 3papers Dot even bother buying the book you will never use it. She was a very nice lady. she really cares about history. She teaches it like a story which made it so much fun to learn!
Teaches history well and has a lot of personal research to compliment her textbook. I will say it is difficult to get an 100% on her papers but she isn't overly demanding. So long as you attend class and read the text book you should have zero problem getting an A in this class.
Amazing teacher, one of the best. Very easy and very likable. Keeps class interesting, easy grader at papers, tests can be a little hard but if you do well on all 3 papers you will pass. Love her!!
Great professor! Test are a little difficult. She is a very fair grader! If you attend class and put effort into your work, you will do fine. She is the nicest professor & cares about all of her students. I took her for Western Civ I & II. I recommend her!
I LOVE HER. She makes the class very fun. There are three tests, which you can use cheat sheets for AND you have to write three (easy) papers. You definitely need to read the texbook, as well as pay attention in class, but it's not too bad. Western Civ is actually interesting to me now.
Very boring class n u hav 2 work hard to get a good grade, tho she does giv opportunites for extra credit, u hav 2 read the textbook, she expects u 2 hav interest in a class that is mandatory 2 graduate smh, u hav 2 read a book n do a book report, do not take her notes, they will not help on the test, i would not take her ever again
Professor Haggerty is passionate about history, and teaching. I found her lectures to be interesting, and found myself learning new information each class. The workload wasn't too bad since each essay and test were evenly spaced, and this provided enough time to study and write the papers. I would recommend her!
she is a great teacher i had her for 101 and 102 and she is such a sweet teacher, gives extra credit to help you pass, you must read the text book because alot of her test questions are text book related but other then that she is the best
Very sweet professor and extremely passionate about history. Definitely need a textbook. Lecture alone won't prepare you for the tests. Opportunity for extra credit with each test.
Prof. Haggerty is very sweet and quite helpful. In both classes,(His. 101 and 102) there were 3 essays and 3 tests. The test will be hard if you don't read the text. You are given a review sheet..and you are also given a cheat sheet for the tests. Hope this helped!
Really nice person but not good if history isn't your strong point. You HAVE to read the text book or you will fail the tests. Hard grader on essays. Expects a lot for book review essay to prove it is your own work which is ridiculous for an honors class.
She grades easy on essays as long as you answer all of the required parts. You will fail the tests if you do not read the textbook. Her lectures have nothing to do with the tests, so you need to read the textbook.
This class requires reading the text book and making your own notes to fully grasp time period to do well. Pay full-attention in class and take notes as well. Very helpful professor; answers questions thoroughly. 3 multiple choice tests (read book)and 2/3 essays. You get what you put into this class.
She's amazing!!! However, be sure to read the chapters in the text book & do not just go by the notes she gives in class because does put things from the book that she did not cover in class on the exams. 2 "reaction papers" on primary sources she provides and 1 book review. Excellent professor & cares about her students a lot.
She's a great professor and makes the lectures interesting to listen to. However, you have to keep up with the reading or you won't do well. Her 5 week summer class moves very fast and is very time consuming. Her tests aren't hard as long as you read. The questions come right from the textbook.
If you need help ask for it, she is more than happy to do what she can for you. She's very understanding and actually cares about her students. The tests are difficult so effort and studying is required. The class is a lot of lectures about the information but she delivers it well and in an interesting way.
Loved her! She made the most boring class possible seem not so bad. There are three tests and on each test you get to use a cheat sheet. She will give a review sheet out a week before each test saying every topic on it. There are also three papers extremely easy i didn't get below a 90. READ THE TEXTBOOK!! And make sure to ask questions too!
Gives really short lectures and requires reading from the textbook, as well as another book and some primary sources. Basically lots of reading.
She doesn't have any notes but she will only wrote important names and dates of important events. Her test are really based on the textbook but if you don't feel like buying the textbook then I recommend you write down everything she says. It will be helpful for the cheat sheet she lets you use during the test. Her essays are 2 pgs and really easy.
YOU HAVE TO READ THE TEXTBOOK. She doesn't have any notes, she writes a few things on the board, but even if you write every single thing down she says you will still fail the tests. But, every tests you get to make a cheat sheet and she gives you a review sheet. It's an easy A if you put in a regular amount of effort.
The textbook is a MUST. Be sure to keep up with the reading so you don't find yourself reading 100+ pages of small print and cramming to fit it into memory the night before the test like me. Usually lets students use a study sheet for the test. There's a moderate amount of homework, but it's doable. I also had to read a novel during the semester.
There isn't a question you can't ask her. Warning: She doesn't believe in slideshows or writing notes on the board. It's all lecture. She does form her sentences into coherent note-taking form. You have to read. You CAN skim the text book because she gives a review sheet before each test, and allows some notes. 1010 would take her again.
I HATE history but Prof Haggerty made it not bad at all! She's passionate about the subject and makes her lectures more like a story so it's somewhat interesting. You MUST read the textbook. Tests are difficult if you don't. She does give extra credit and a cheat sheet for test- take advantage. 3 easy reaction papers. Take her, you won't regret it!
SHE IS FANTASTIC on top of being a pretty great history prof, she helped me with my schedualing and transfer track where advisors failed me. she is the head of the honors program so she knows what she is talking about and i am by no means an honor student. she reely goes above and beyond and that is worth every easy A i have ever gotten.
Tests are straight forward from the lectures. If you want a B or higher read the textbook for the test. Gives review sheet. 3 two page essays on articles she gives you. Be ready to write during class, I suggest typing your notes. She is very helpful. Gives a lot of extra credit and sometimes curves tests. Will pass, unless bad notes, or skip class.
had her for my his102 class she made it amazingly interesting for everyone, she gives 3 writing assignments all noted in the syllabus with reading material, 2 pages double spaced and easy grading. she does nothing online everything is on chalk board, she requires a text book but if you take good notes you will do fine, cheat sheet given every test
She is horrible! Only 3 test & 3 papers but the test are nothing on what she give on the study guide., I wrote 10+pages of in class notes per 4 chapters & still received 60's on the test. She lectures about random stuff nothing about the txt book. If you can teach yourself then good luck because she is nor available
such a great professor, is happy to help and provide feedback on everything, allows cheat sheet for every test , papers were easy , plenty of time for each since the outline is in the syllabus, would absolutely take again.
Professor haggerty is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Never understood any history until I took her. Every class feels like she is telling us a story and it is always interesting. 3 two page papers and 3 test(not cumulative) and give you a big note card to write or type front and back for test with many extra credit opp. Deff Recc. :)
Best professor I've had at my 2 years at Suffolk. I had to miss classes a lot and she never asked for notes or didn't mind. She just made sure I was caught up. Easiest tests, always answers emails and in her office if you need any more help. Offers extra credit for every test
Participation matters so be ready to do so if u want those points also her lectures arent off of a powerpoint she reads it to you off of her notes that she has on a piece of paper and u have to write down whats important in which i hate doing because im not the fastest writer and im not going to ask her to repeat what she says every 5 mins
I love Professor Haggerty! I call her my second mom that works at suffolk! I wish I still had her for history!
Professor Haggerty was Mediocre at best. Her lectures weren't engaging and personality was stale. She's not an understanding person, so don't expect much if you need to miss a class or two; you're on your own. I've taken far better profs. at SCC (both engaging and level of ease), you're not missing much if you don't take her.
Great teacher, perfect amount of work. Easy to get in touch with and very nice lady!
Had her for HIS101 online over the summer, NEVER again. Way too intense for a 101 course. Be prepared to read A LOT. You will not pass without the textbook. Her exam questions are straight from the book, but she writes the questions herself so you can't find the answers online. 2 exams, 3 essays, and about 15 mini-essays. Did I mention, READ?!
In the midst of taking her for his101 and she is great. The response papers are beyond easy they probably take 30 minutes max, tests are straight from the book so if you dont read you probably wont do well. Good thing is she allows a huge index card as a cheat sheet! She is my only professor that greets and acknowledges me outside the class. I recc
The MOST well-structured, easy to follow, easy to be interested in history class. She doesn't overdo the humor, but is adorable with her little jokes that make you smile. VERY clear and prepared. Indomitable; doesn't let personal issues effect the class. YOU NEED TO TAKE HER. Tests are fair; study, even with having a cheat sheet.
Very thorough and she teaches history like it's a story. I was not the best at history in high school but taking her class helped me understand history better and prepared me for all of my other history courses I had taken. Make sure you read the textbook, this is not a class where you can ace the exams just by what was taught in lecture.
For a class that is mandatory and for something that is not your Major you have to put a lot of work in to it. There is a whole lot of reading (massive) and video watching. You will have to put a lot of work in the discussion, essays, and on online tests which are due at or almost at the same time. The textbook is boring and small print.
This professor is horrible. I dont know how she has good reviews but her online class is awful. Her assignments are so in depth. However, It is an easy class to pass if you are willing to work for it. She doesnt always answer emails and she takes her sweet time grading papers. She may be a good professor but certainly not online!!!!
Very nice and kind lady and she made the class very interesting, However her tests are hard! even though its only multiple choice I still thought her tests were difficult. If you study your notes you'll do well tho, and you can definitely get an A, I just hate studying so I did not like this class at all.
Her tests are very hard. Im taking her online course and I think even her discussion assignments are overboard. She expects too much from her students. I took her because her ratings looked good, in reality shes not a great professor. I wouldnt recommend (at least for an online course).
Shes ok not the best professor. I recommend to take someone else for history.
Simply just avoid taking this Professor. I really did not enjoy taking her online course this semester. She does give easy As on homework assignments, and her 3 essay assignments. However, her exams are really hard!! None of the answers are online, and its hard to find in the textbook. She seems to always have an attitude when I would email her.
She taught online this semester, and wasnt that great. I struggled with her assignments, shes not accessible outside of class which was a major down be considering her assignments being extremely difficult and her test.
Assignments & exams are arduous! She grades fair on all assignments at least. If you miss one your screwed with a B all semester. 3 essays, 2 difficult test. She takes a long time to submit your grade. I was disappointed that I took a long time to hear back from her via email. For an online professor, you should expect they would have good contact.
I honestly didnt enjoy taking this class with this professor. She expects a lot out of you on homework, exams are tough. Takes forever to grade & answer emails!
I would suggest taking another Professor. She made western civilization very in depth between her assignments and tests.
Take another Professor... she just makes things confusing. Exams are hard and homework.
I took this course online over the summer to fulfill a requirement. All assignments are straightforward, expectations are clearly defined, and there were only two exams. There definitely is a lot of reading that needs to done to keep up with weekly discussions, but as long as you keep up you can do well in this class.
Her test are very hard and she doesnt not answer emails well.
Her online class was very difficult. I dont suggest taking this class online. Please dont look at her rating number, actually read these comments. I looked at her rating number and thought she was going to be wonderful. Turned out to be one stressful semester. She expects too much. Homework assignments were very tough along with her exams. Avoid
So sweet and so smart! She loves history and you can tell in every one of her lectures. Class was never boring. Let us out early a lot. 4 papers but she grades very easy. Tests were kind of hard, I recommend reading the textbook. Most enjoyable class I've taken at Suffolk, she cares about her students. Wish I could take her for every class!
Took Professor Haggerty's online class and have to say she's a great professor. There are 3 papers, discussions every week, and a few quizzes. It's a must to read the textbook, and watch the videos provided. Overall I would recommend taking her online class!
She's caring and a good person in general. I did not like her teaching style and her lectures could have been better. Because of COVID-19 we had to go to an online class and I like her better as an online teacher as opposed to in person
Prepare to teach yourself. Weekly discussions w/ no replies, but super late grades and no feedback. Tedious timed tests. Opportunities for extra credit w/ no instructions. ZERO prof interaction. Syllabus with no due dates so you have to be constantly checking. I'm normally an A student, but I did not enjoy this class. I couldn't gain momentum.
This class was VERY difficult. Lots of assignments, not enough time on tests, tough grader, and expects more than what is given. Had a lot of trouble keeping up. Personally would not take again.
I have graduated from Suffolk, St. Joseph's, and LIU and she was one of the best professors I had throughout all those schools. Yes, you do have to work hard, but that's how you get your money's worth in any school. She is genuinely caring. Just be nice, be present, and do your work, and you too will be a happy customer.
As long as you are a diligent student you should have no problems. She's funny, caring, kind... downright wonderful teacher. She awoke my love for history. Yes, you have to show up, do your work, and hand stuff in on time. She is very structured and organized. The thing I didn't love was reading the novel on the side. You get a cheat sheet on tests
prob the easiest class I've taken, you only have assignments every other week, 2 small essays and 3 tests. easy A
Absolutely not. I took her class online this semester. There are only 2 exams and theyre both 50% of our grade, even though we arent learning anything and there are no zoom lectures (which we were told there would be). You think you can email her about it? Nope. She will not reply and if she does, she will not answer your question.
She didn't post any notes all semester. She just assigned reading and questions. She wasn't too harsh of a grader when it came to essays. The only tests were the midterm and the final. She only gave a study guide for the final, not the midterm. My average dropped a lot due to my midterm grade. There was an extra credit essay but it didnt help.
Teacher did not let you know if you are close or failing the class, did not post any power points at all, gives discussions but only like 4, only two exams and two papers. you dont get any study guides for the tests, she tells you the test are based of the discussion but yet they are closed before the exam. Not a Fan of this professor.
Prof. Haggerty is very understanding and gives extra credit opportunities. The assignments are straightforward and pretty easy as long as you read the textbook. Not very much work at all, and a lot of time is given to complete each assignment. Overall very good professor and enjoyable course.
She does not teach the two tests are based on the chapters no study guide given doesnt answer emails in a timely manner be ready to teach yourself history submit assignments on time or else you get a Zero
She was fine at first. On the syllabus it stated that there would be video lectures but there never was throughout the entire semester. I got A's on all the discussion posts, but the only 2 exams given KILLED my grade. There was a discussion post twice a week and only 2 exams. She gave extra credit, but other than that, nothing else to grade you on
Best professor ever. She is incredibly caring and kind, and goes out of her way to help students understand while having fun.
This is a fully online course. We had three papers, we have to write on the discussion board and respond to other students. The textbook is highly needed for questions and tests. She gives extra credit to add to the next exam. Tests are multiple-choice and the papers max 2 pages with cited page. Hard class but manageable.
If you have the opportunity to take a class with Professor Haggerty DO IT!! Shes honestly one of my, if not my, favorite professors ever. The way she teaches relates the past to the present and she keeps class entertaining and interesting. She is also very supportive and is always willing to help her students however she can. The work load is low.
The class was easy, but she's not chill. Idk how she has such good reviews on here bc her vibes are wackkkkkkk.
She is very sweet and caring, and wants her students to do well. Her lectures were interesting because she brings up her own accounts and stories. However she did not outline what we were supposed to do outside of class very well. The syllabus said there would be discussion boards assigned but they were empty on bb, so it was slightly confusing.
I took her online class, The amount of reading is insane but the worst offense is the Class switch where only half the class does work for a week then the next other half does. However, you still need to read them in both weeks. it creates a lot of confusion and stress for everyone. TLDR Her online class is confusing and a mess, her IR idk
Super nice person and cares about what she's teaching. Says textbook is required but sometimes what she teaches doesn't agree with it so a little confusing. A lot of information but never know if it'll be the first or specific on the test. 3 tests (meh), 2 papers (easy), 1 book review (easy). Overall easy to listen to and interesting information.
Professor Haggerty was genuinely one of my favorite classes, she was incredibly kind and understanding about personal situations. 10/10 recommend taking her class
Super caring professor. I don't tend to enjoy ancient history, however, she made it a much better experience. Tests were very specific and you definitely won't pass the course if you don't read the textbook. The work outside of class wasn't overwhelming and was pretty easy. Even if history isn't your strong suit you'll be okay in this class.
One of the best professors i've had here at Suffolk. Would definitely recommend for any class.
Super easy as long as you do your work. Two papers and weekly homework that follows a chapter in the textbook. Two tests are each 30% of your grade, but gives you the option to do extra credit for 10 points on a test grade
Amazing professor she really cares about the students and makes history interesting! Show up to class and take good notes + read your textbook! & you will do well. Lots of extra credit opportunities for exams. I highly recommend her !
Very nice and although test grades are heavy she will give study sheets a week before to make studying easy. Just read the textbook and you'll be fine honestly.
Run away from this professor and never look back— all of her good reviews are untruthful. She is a very borning professor which makes it extremely hard to pay attention to the lectures. She wrongly accused multiple students of having AI generated essays when they were truthfully not AI! She makes you read a dry textbook that doesn't even help you.
if you hate yourself, take this class. horrible, horrible, horrible teacher, why is she still teaching i have no clue. she needs to understand that not everyone has the time to read TWO BOOKS for her class. people work full-time and have other classes. and she doesn't respond to emails on time. save yourself, take someone else.
