Prof. Melvin is great. Makes you do homework and decides not to collect it sometimes but who cares. She's always available to explain things in further detail if you don't understand something. Very student oriented. Fun class too.

she is a good prof. and i really enjoy her class. she is extremely opinenated & you'r not allowed to disagree! but other than that, her class is easy as long as you take notes for tests and follow her instructions for speeches.

She is very understanding and caring. If you need help you can go to her and she will help you. You will be assigned 3 speechs, but you know about these when she gives you the outline. Make sure you go to the class before a test or an exam.

She is kinda neurotic at times. Attendance is super important. Lots of preaching & sometimes rushes thru chapters cuz she wasted class time on preaching. Watch, 3 speeches w/ one week of preparation. Overall easy & just memorize all u can 4 tests.

I had her class during the fall semester and it was great. She's really in touch with the students. I highly recommend taking her class. Beautiful person inside and out. She gets my vote for a tamale.

Kinda hot, an easy teacher who is very fair on grading and really understanding. But, she does have that kinda crazy girl friend side that someone mentioned already. Other than that easy A or B if you're lazy.

I took her twice and she was AWESOME! Anyone that says she isn't is just DUMB! Of course she wins arguments. I've seen morons in the class try to test her knowledge, she's WAY too smart for them. Instead of knocking her, get a LIFE!!! She's the best professor at BERGEN!!!!

LOVE HER!! the people that called her dumb or lazy are just upset probally because they failed her class because they are DUMB AND LAZY! My cousin told me to take her because she told me she was great and now im telling my other friends and cousins to TAKE HER!!

the class is definately one of the easiest and most chill classes i have ever taken.....she doesnt care about much and lets you out early a lot....shes pretty hott and definately has flirted with me.... she could be ****y, if she doesnt like you....but shes cool

If you can't pay attention in her class, you're either dead or deaf. Very clear and engaging. She will tell you exactly what to study before a test. If you do poorly on her tests, you just were not paying attention or did not study. Kind of weird and moody at times, but if you did your work and did not screw around, you did ok.

Prof. Melvin is a great professor. She tells you from day one what the class entails. Prof Melvin gives good notes, easy tests.

She's a really good professor and does her best to make sure you understand the material presented in class. There's no way you can fail the class unless you slack and just don't listen. Definately recommend her.

AWESOME professor ! shes SUPER easy. copy her notes & your guaranteed an A. speeches can be a hassle but once you get them done, its a breeze. i highly recommend her... can spaz out here or there, but overall great professor.

Great professor! Learned a lot. She made everything so clear and told my class exactly what we were getting ourselves into. great class...do your work and presentations on time and you wont have any problems..tests are fairly easy..

i just took her this simester and she actually helped me out alot.. she made me do my speech over but helped me to make a better one.. she did get upset sometimes over nothing but after she talks for a little she tries to get u to understand.. AND NO SHE DOESN'T JUST SAY IT'S WRONG.. u have to have ur mind open and she is willing to help..

Prof Melvin is a good teacher who cares about her students. Make sure you get to class on time and read the assigned text. Take her if you are serious about learning. Don't take her if you are a goof off.

mad cool. class is interesting. not too hard, but you have to work. need to be in class, but was one of my favorite classes so it was good

Actual class is rediculously easy -- but if you don't like being constantly talked down to, don't take her. VERY rude, but does want you to succeed. Hypocritcal at times, thinks she knows everything -- but if you follow the syllabus you'll be fine. If you can memorize, you'll get an A.

Good professor and from what I've heard and seen, mad cool! Do the small amount of work, study 3 pages of notes for each test and you'll do ok

Not a bad teacher at all. She is a good professor however the biggest problem I have with her is that she is not always the friendliest person and her grading tends to be unfair at times. Overall if you are taking speech, get this lady, she will help you out.

Professor Melvin is a terrific teacher. She has a way of captivating her audience and reeling them in. Although the thought of public was not one that I liked to entertained, she reassured everyone that it would be fine. Everyone's speeches went well. She is fair with the grading. I would write more but the limit is 350. Take her you won't be sorry

One of the best classes I took! I went into this class thinking I was going to hate it but Melvin made the class fun and interesting! Too bad she isn't teaching at Bergen any longer, since she landed another job. Bergen will miss her and if you didn't have her yet, good luck finding a better speech professor!

Easy A.. studying for her tests are really easy. make sure u do your speech right or she will interrupt you and tell you what you did wrong. i didnt get anything lower than a 95 in her test.She's really cool just dont get on her bad side. Attendance is a must and try not be late.. She was very easy.. TAKE HER!!!

Sweet personality, interesting & funny; very enjoyable class with her BUT...will talk a little too much about her personal life; come presentation time can be a little rude w/ respect to calling you out in the middle of your presentation; stress is high at that point AND Prof. Melvin please refrain from sarcastic faces during presentations.

Professor M is straight forward. Take notes and review all your notes. She is on point with everything. "Hands down!" Her class is very interesting. I totally recommend her class. She's a great professor!

She is very fun and alive during her classes. She is one professor who is straight to the point with her tests and quizzes. She starts grading speeches automatically at a 95 and deducts from there because there is always room for improvement. She is a very helpful professor, and she expects the best from all her students.

I recommend taking her class if you like professors that are energetic and like to get students involved with their lectures. Show up to class, take notes and follow her outlines for your speech and there is no way that you should fail. Just as any other class you get out what you put into it.

She is a great! As long as you show up and do the work, you will get an "A". She teaches you the required material for the test and class and also teaches things you can use in your life and can add to your resume. She gives a 95 on presentation as the highest, but the tests round out the grade, so you can possible get a 100 in the class.

This class was easy and if you can't pass drop out of college. Some interesting stuff and was clear with lectures, was funny too. didn't use the text so don't buy one! 2 tests a final all were easy! Speeches were work but who likes speeches? Good class, had to take. Lots students liked her so I took her and didn't mind and recommend.
