PolSci.1 She is a very outgoing, smart & funny. Really tries to relate today's life to subj. Gives a fair amount of work but also loads of extra cred. Had to drop (pers.reas.) but look forward to retaking her class :)

The class has loads of extra credit so a good grade is attainable even for poor students. She is funny and her class is enjoyable. She wears her political party on her sleeve, which is annoying, but I would still recommend her for students that are willing to show up

Very nice lady. She cares about the students and has a lot of passion for the subject. She gives you review guides for both exams which covers most the test. She gives A LOT of extra credit so it is nearly impossible to not receive a passing grade. Only bad thing is attendance is mandatory and will deduct points if not there.

Professor Robb was wonderful! she is so passionate about political science and makes it easy to understand. This is a hard class as there is a lot of information but she is a good teacher ... tests are reasonable if you study you'll pass and gives many opportunities to raise your grade. She really helps you understand the relevance of political science to your own life. The course really made me think about my political views. She gives a review before exams that pretty much tells you what you need to know so the course isn't really difficult. Don't let the syllabus overwhelm you on the first day; it sounds like more than it is

I love her! She's so helpful, passionate, and unlike other teachers offers alternative assignments (not just a scan tron) which was so helpful to me. She actually tells you what's going to be on the test, and we even get to watch a few videos (another great learning alternative). I'm even taking her class again next semester. TAKE HER!!!!

Class work consists of one group project, one research paper, midterm and final which she gives out a study guide before each exam. she gives out about 300 extra credit points. oh and grades are not based on percentage but points. makes it sooo much easier! Professor Robb is the best political science professor at Pierce. She makes the class and the subject fun. She makes tons of political jokes, she is a comedian. We only had 5 quizzes, 1 midterm, and a final. If you bomb the midterm, then it'll be difficult for you to pick up the pieces after. Tests were a wee bit difficult. At least there were Extra Credit. DO THEM ALL. You do get to work in a group. She's very kind and quirky.

She really enjoys her job and actually has some experience in politics.She tell you when she will give a quiz just review the lectures and do the reading and you will be fine in this class.Midterm is a beast but she offers extra credit so you have a chance to bring your grade up. Take advantage of the extra credit.. there are 5 easy quizes and she takes the average of the first four and that the grade you get for the fifth quiz.. she doesnt tell you when the quizes are so attendance is mandatory.. the midterm was hard but theres a lot of extra credit. turn in the essay two weeks before its due date so she could grade it!

She's a pretty awesome professor :) She gives out a lot of extra credit. This is probably the first class I had to read the textbook for though (Borrow it from the library). The assignments and tests are pretty easy as well. She's also very helpful outside of class and for other things, she really goes out of her way to help the students achieve!

Attendance is incredibly important: she uses information that can only be obtained through attendance on her exams. If you do the reading (and the papers) you'll pass this class with flying colors. The class isn't interesting but she does spice it up with things like videos from Futurama and Thank You For Smoking. Overall a fun class, good prof!

Honestly Robb made me change my major, I couldn't ask for a more genuine and intelligent professor. She offers tuns of extra credit and the paper is spelled out for you in her syllabus, that is why it's so thick, she basically outlines your paper for you. Thanks to Dr. Robb, I had the pleasure of being able to do upper division coursework in an internship for Poli Sci. :) It was an incredible learning experience, but very fun. I'll miss meeting with Dr. Robb every week, though. I never had an interest in PS, but now I might minor in since it was so interesting and involved with my major :)!

This has been one of my favorite classes at Pierce. Professor Robb provided an atmosphere that made learning both fun and informative. It's obvious that she has a true passion for Political Science, and though she didn't make me want to switch my major,I can't say I wasn't tempted. She is one of those rare instructors we students always remember.

Denise is one of the best profressors I have had during my time in college! She is a stand-up comedian and makes Political Science fun and interesting! She absolutely loves teaching, and when a teacher loves to teach (do their job) students learn, so everybody wins! She makes you want to participate, and come to class. You won't regret her class!

Professor Robb is very passionate about political science. The class is fairly easy if you some idea about how this country works. If you are clueless about political science, ask questions, take good notes and take advantage of the extra credit. The class is designed to force you (the student) to gain a fundamental understanding of the US govt.

Professor Robb is great, she is very clear in her syllabus what she wants to have done for the semester in order for you to pass. Her lectures and power points didn't really help with the quizzes or midterm so make sure you read your book FRONT TO BACK. She is really funny and i would take her class again for future political science courses.

Politics has never been among my favorite subjects but i actually found myself becoming interested with this class and have even considered getting a minor in PoliSci. We have 5 quizzes, 4 are group quizzes, the fist is the hardest (it's based on what you know about politics), she gives MANY opportunities for extra credit. Just study and take notes

reasons why she was a great professor: 1st easy to talk to. 2. quizzes are group work and she drops the lowest score so free 100 points there. 3 gives a lot of extra credit 50 points worth! 4th. she goes over the finalmidterm and gives out a study guide. 5th all her notes are online don't be lazy and download it. The class was great! Do the readings & keep up with moodle assignments & you will do well. She is always there for office hours & is willing to help. Also tons of extra credit assignments are offered. The best part about the class is that she's really involved and loves to teach. She also offers internships, lets u know about transfer events. :)

Professor Robb is a good professor. Some positives are: 1. Great Office Hours 2. Fair Grader if you follow instruction 3. Passionate Some Negatives are: 1. Group Presentation took to long and only 1 question on final 2. Lots of reading (make sure you read a little bit every day so you do not cram form the midterm and final)

Overall good professor and the material was easy to understand. Only part I did not really like was that some students took over the class, in the sense that they talked a lot about everything not letting the professor convey her whole message or explain it throughly.

Professor Robb is a very passionate. Her class is super easy because there is so much extra credit given and her tests are not hard because she gives a study guide. Only problems I had were her class lectures were boring and she was bit unorganized. The Town Hall was a great experience! It made me very aware of some of the many problematic issues.

Im not a fan of politics but she really gets you involved in it and you realize how important politics really is. A bit of women's history in here but overall you leave feeling you learned something. Strongly suggest the Town hall you meet with a lot of great students and faculty! If you are unsure about assignments, OFFICE HOURSASK HER!! Cool vid

Robb wants everyone to pass her class and actually learn something about current political events and what shaped them. Her quizzes are super easy bc you can use notes. Her midterm is written(but so much extra credit), there is an easy group project, and the final is mult choice and she makes some of the questions funny so you know its no biggie.

Robb feels very strong about her own liberal views but also emphasizes a lot how she encourages anyones views. The class that I had with Professor Robb was women in politics and everyone was assigned a person from history to study and act on at the end of the semester. I got Debbie Wasserman Schultz and it was fun to play the chairwoman of the DNC during the last election cycle. Professor makes politics meaningful and makes sure everyone has a voice. A+.

If you see a negative review of Prof Robb, it's just because those students want to breeze though college and don't really know why they are even in college to begin with. Prof Robb is caring, respectful, intelligent, and knows what she is talking about and wants you to learn. She's not there to fail you, she's on your side.

I had a great time in this class- super caring professor. we wrote a policy paper and did a group project. She gives easy tests and prepares you for everything you need to do.

I had a great experience in this class. It covers brutal and difficult parts of America's government and its past. I have never met a prof that cares about students more than this Professor. She will work with you and guide you through not only this class but your path to college success. Professor Robb handled the switch online better than any other professor I had this semester. She set realistic goals that didn't feel too overwhelming for students in a pandemic. Prof Robb gave us all the tools we needed to succeed in her PolSci 1 class. Attending zoom can be somewhat of a challenge due to the pandemic but all of them were recorded and I thought that was extremely helpful. She's super kind, cares about her students and is not a very tough grader as long as you put in the effort. Tons of extra credit, too!

Assigned a group project and expected everyone to be able to meet up all the time which was kind of inconsiderate, BUT she does care about the students. She's a great professor and trying her best during a hard transition to teach online. I just wish there were changes made.

I've had professor Robb by choice 3 times and I am hoping I can get in two of her classes next semester. If I could I would have her as my political science professor for the rest of my school career. Robb is one of the nicest professors i have ever met. She definitely knows how to teach in her little optional zoom meetings. She is interesting and her assignments were actually interesting. The book isnt really necessary, I used it like 3 times.

Prof Robb is kind and understanding. You get multiple tries on quizzes that are already super easy and she even let me redo an essay after she gave me feedback. This class is set up in a way that anyone can earn an A. There are several extra credit ops and some are simple tasks to complete. Would take her again if I wasn't leaving Pierce. TAKE HER!

Professor Robb loves teaching. She is well rounded, explains in detail what is expected of you in her class. She immediately answers any questions you have. She reads every paper submitted and gives excellent feedback. If you wanna learn, she is a great teacher to learn from.

Cool class, the book is only mandatory for the final. Only reason I somewhat struggled is because I waited last minute to do her assignments lol ( and they take some time). Tests are easy, all answers are in her lectures, which she posts and you can view them anytime.

Robb is awesome. Great lectures, very informative, and if you pay any attention at all you'll do excellent in her courses. She always incorporates group work and likes participation a lot, but she is very understanding. If you are having any trouble, she can help accommodate you or even give you a different assignment. One of the best professors!

Professor Robb is by far the best college professor I have ever had. She had amazing speakers and workshops and if your interested in politics she will connect you with the right people. Professor Robb helped me get a job and my career started in politics. If you have a genuine interest in political science her class will be a breeze just have fun

I would genuinely like to hang out with Professor Robb just to hear her take on things. She is very well rounded and sees current events as a whole and not just one-sided. I learned a lot from her class. Participate, ask questions, get your essay drafts in on time and take advantage of Extra Credit.

Dr. Robb is the nicest person every. She has daily office hours where you can ask her any question and would answer questions on the study guide instead of having you look for it. She answers emails very fast and gives you extra credit for just joining zoom movies. There are group projects you will have to online buts it's so easy.

I love Professor Robb! This is my second class with her and she is a caring and compassionate professor. She cares about her students and is helpful with questions. She is very passionate about her subject matter and engages students in learning about participating in the political process.

This is a teacher who will put in extra effort to see you succeed. This is what a teacher is supposed to be like. I'd rather take a quirky teacher who gives it her all than a dry one who doesn't care/is checked out. TONS AND TONS of extra credit opportunities, really hard to not get an A one way or another, especially with her being so helpful.

Prof. Robb is one of my favorite college professors! She is genuinely passionate about teaching and having her students succeed. If I was ever overwhelmed, Professor Robb was quick to reply to my emails or schedule zoom calls with me outside of her office hours to answer my questions. She also offers a lot of extra credit. OMG where do i start!!! I Love professor robb!! i took her womens and politics class and it was amazing! it was VERY easy!The answers to every quiz are in her lectures as well as the text book!TAKE HER CLASS you will NOT regret it!!!!!

Professor Dr. Robb was an outstanding professor; she was hilarious, and her lectures were incredibly entertaining. She offers lots of extra credit, gives great feedback, and her lectures are smooth; filled with lots of jokes as well as entertaining side stories. My only regret is that I didn't discover Professor Dr. Robb earlier.

This professor is very caring and understanding. She does everything in her power to get all of her students to pass so don't be afraid to ask for help. Provides lots of extra credit .There is one research paper mid semester and one group project at the end. This professor is very detailed in directions and makes the class easy and enjoyable.

Professor Robb is amazingggg. The course is super easy, the heaviest work load we had was a group project and an essay. She gives a lot of participation quizzes and offers plenty of extra credit. Pay attention and take lecture notes and read the text book because you need that info for the midterm and final as well as the participation quizzes.

She is very political so stay neutral in her class and try not to stand out in her class. As long as you do all of her work on time which is not a lot, you will be fine. Her midterm and final, she gives you a study guide. For your group project, its not hard. When she questions you on the project, as long as you sound convincing, you will be fine.

Prof Robb is an amazing lecturer! She's pretty easy despite being an honors class. She has a few big assignments but if you do the study guides and work with the group she assigns you, you will most likely get an A in the class. She is very passionate on what she does but if you don't like politics or history then this class might be boring for you

This is a great class! I took it as an honors class and it was extremely enjoyable. Professor Robb is super caring and wants to help you get the best grade in the class. The lectures are interesing and she invites cool guest speakers. Not test heavy and LOTS of extra credit availibility. The class is designed for you to pass. Please take her!

I enjoyed Robbs's class, she gave us so many extra credit opportunities and was not very test-heavy. You were given 1 essay midterm and 1 final exam. She is super caring and wants you to pass I enjoyed the lectures and found them super interesting. I genuinely think if your are interested on women's rights take this class you will learn a lot!

This professor is amazing. She's funny and tries to make her teaching fun. provides multiple extra credit opportunities. Assignments are relatively easy as long as you're paying attention and she's so approachable too. Definitely would take her again,

She was nice and I actually learned a lot. Since it was a summer class and honors it was more harder, there were chapter summaries to do and occasional videos and 2 movies to take notes on. There was also a video group project that was super annoying because it has to be really coordinated between everyone. There was also an 8 page essay.

Professor Robb is a caring instructor who encourages different perspectives. Her class has lots of work, but she provides helpful study guides and extra credit opportunities. ChatGPT and unstuck ai were great study tools that helped me succeed.

Professor Robb is a wonderful teacher that goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching. Robb makes her class very enjoyable, and a fun experience. Some assignments are a little bit of a drag but for the most part the class as a whole is relatively easy / average difficulty. Shes very big on extra credit. Notes are easy. 100% recommend the class

I considered this class an easy A. Her directions are unclear sometimes but she is very lenient with grading, allows resubmissions for assignments, and allows late work. Students learn more when teachers are like this. Not only that her class was fun because she is very a very positive and funny person.

i love proffesor robb. one of the few professors that truly cares about their students and wants them to succeed. its a hard class, and you need to be willing to put in the effort, but if you truly want to learn about politics and government, take it.

A lot of the people bashing this class clearly took it online with the assumption that ChatGPT would pass it for them. She's an amazing professor that genuinely cares, if you want an easy A with someone who doesn't, find another person. She loves what she does and that's why she helps others understand it too. I took the honors poli sci 019. There is a lot of writing for this class but it isn't bad. There is a final essay as well and I believe a group project. I took it over summer so I had more time to spend on this class, just be aware it takes some time. She's pretty funny and he class is good if your are looking for an easy honors credit.

Amazing teacher and very passionate about politics. If you hate group projects do NOT take this class. Groups with 12 members MAX. 10 page essay and attendance is mandatory. The assignments are simple and straightforward but the essays and group work is annoying.

Professor Rob is really passionate about politics. And I do think she is a good professor however she is a very tough grader, and does give more work than the usual college course. This class is definitely manageable put won't be an easy A. Often she will ask you to re-do assignments and she will really read your submissions word for word.

Professor Robb is so incredibly chill. I took her honors Political Science C1000 class, which was online live. She provides the class with so many extra credit opportunities. Her lectures were very easy to understand, and her quizzes often reflected that. She's so kind and understanding. We had one major presentation, which was our final. Take her!

She is really good. i took her honors classes, quizzes and homework are really easy if you pay attention to class, there are tons of extra credits. Also make sure to follow every guideline and rubric she is asking.
