She's a nice professor, and the material is pretty straightforward...but she goes through her slides really fast, so you have to really pay attention during the lecture.
Very boring, disorganized teacher. Tests are hard because she does not teach well. It is hard to follow what she is looking for. Her lectures have no order and are boring. Her TA's grade the labs and some grade easliy, while one in particular is very demanding and picky about little details
This professor is horrible. One of the worst I ever had. She is extremely unorganized. I dont doubt that she knows her stuff, but she for some reason is simply unable to present it in a coherent manner. Tests are unreasonably difficult as well.
tests are impossible.
Pretty lame. Poor teacher.
Made exams ridiculously hard and actually told me not to use the $200 dollar book to study with. Useless in help sessions and terrible lecturer.
Her exams are absolutely insane. Prior to the first exam, you will be thinking, wow this is a really great professor, she explains things clearly, easy A!Then about 10 minutes into the first exam you will realize how very wrong you were. Although her lectures are very good, very clear, her tests are impossible. Also, she coughs into the mic a lot.
Horrible professor. I was told this was supposed to be an easy class for non-biology majors. Boy was I wrong. Her exams were impossible to get a good grade on. Overall she is an annoying lecturer, and I'm glad I never have to take another course with her.
Unreasonably difficult tests. Avoid taking a class from her at all costs. By no means an "easy A". Not helpful outside of class and doesn't care about giving someone a bad grade. How could she possibly still be teaching?!
HORRIBLE. do not take her class!! "easy class for non science majors" NO. her exams are sooo hard and impossible to pass. I attended every lecture and listented to every word she said but she made no sense. Worst prof at purdue.
Contrary to what alot of people had said... i am a speech language hearing sciences major and have no interest in bio but still did well in the class. You cannot slack off but if you do your work and study for the exams you will be fine. If you ask her a question, she appreciates your efforts and pretty much tells you the answer. Overall good prof!
The material isn't necessarily easy, but she makes a strong attempt to explain it well. The textbook is completely unnecessary though. She tries to help out her students by holding review sessions before each test, which are fair tests, although sometimes a little tricky.
Dr. Zielinki used very unorganized powerpoints. Her lectures were incredibly hard to follow. I wish I had used to AP credits and skipped this course.
While this is not a slack off class, she gives opportunity to ask questions. While her lectures are sometimes unorganized her help sessions (PSO)are GREAT, should just go every week, she does a very good job during them
Always willing to help after class.
The lectures were extremely hard to follow, but she writes on the board often (which can not be viewed in the recordings) so I would suggest going to class. She was very helpful in PSO, and most things covered there were on quizzes and tests, so go to PSO.
Tests are unreasonably difficult. What she covers in lecture does not appear in many of the exam questions. She knows what she's talking when she's teaching the lecture, about but your grade will most definitely not reflect what you learned in the class.
I'm a hard worker, but I can tell you right now I worked harder for an A in this class than any other one, and still came up short. I did outside readings in the book, watched countless videos to try to understand concepts, and went to office hours. But she's just so unorganized and is not clear on the material. Do not recommend unless mandatory.
Freaking terrible, try your 100% very best to avoid her. She's stupid and incompetent and lazy. She doesn't care about students and she doesn't even know what she's teaching.
This was her first time teaching ecology and she turned an easy A class into the class that I put the most effort into. There were weekly "assessments" one day per week so attendance was basically mandatory and she could not get control of her class. Also, she gives 100 short answer questions to know for the exams and chooses 10. GOOD LUCK.
Denise is simply odd. Her lectures are strange and repeat in weird ways. When reading her exam questions, it feels like you have the translate the questions from her language. It feels as though you think you know what she is asking, but you're never quite sure. She whistles at her students or bangs her microphone to get our attention. Avoid her.
You can tell she knows what she's teaching about, but doesn't necessarily know how to translate it into easier concepts for students to grasp. I believe she wants all students to succeed, but that doesn't translate to an easy class. Not the best at explaining herself. I respect her as a scholar but not a good professor because of the above reasons
She is an amazing teacher. It can be hard to understand the concepts she teaches sometimes but if you go to her after class, she can explain them to you in a much better way. She is very passionate about what she teaches and can be quite odd at times. As long as you go to the lectures, take good notes, and study, you should do alright in her class.
This class is completely passable. Most of her exams are word-for-word from her lectures. Know the basics of every lecture for exams. Her review sessions (PSOs) are SO HELPFUL. She reviews everything you need to know in ways that make it easy to understand (the weekly quizzes are tough). The lab portion for this class is a little bit of a joke
Dr. Zielinski obviously is enthusiastic and well educated, but something with her teaching style didnt work well with me. I found her lectures to be very disorganized and confusing. Her open ended test questions are graded quite harshly and inconsistently (TAs fault, not hers). She offers lots of EC though! Make sure to ALWAYS do her thought Qs.
Ecology and evolution is the worst class I have taken at Purdue so far. Lectures are required due to weekly assessments, but they are all over the place and not very helpful. Exams are extremely difficult and there is no clear grading criteria on what is required to earn a specific letter grade.
She is a very quick lexturer, talks quickly and in detail. If she gives an example in class, be prepared for a question about it on the exam. I cannot stress enough, DO THE THOUGHT QUESTIONS! That will help you a ton! If you have a question about grading, GO TO HER! She is more than willing to regrade anything and she's more generous than the TAs.
Dr. Zielinski is a little odd, but she really does care about her students and gives all the necessary information to succeed. The answers to all the questions on the exam are easily found on her slides, studying them thoroughly, paying attention in class, and asking questions will basically guarantee an easy A.
Dr. Zielinski's slides/lectures can sometimes be a bit all over the place. The exams have tricky multiple choice questions, so you have to really study your lecture notes. I found it helpful to go to her office hours and the PSO sessions. Lab is easy and often gets out early. Take advantage of the several extra credit opportunities she gives!
Prof. Zielinski is nice person but a horrid teacher. Lectures are all over the place and includes lots of content that is not relevant to the course. There were several lectures on why fake news is bad. There was even a homework that required us to look up articles on Breitbart News to debunk. You'll learn more ecology on the walk to class.
Prof. Zielinski is very caring for her students and is open to forming relationship with students to further their success out of her class. As for lectures they may seem jumbled, but go and fill out notes leaving room to go back and fill in when slides are posted. GO TO PSO! Study the practice tests and think of similar questions she may ask.
She is publicly insult students and whistle to students in class.
I don;t care how nice she seems: this professor is hands-down the worst teacher I have had in Purdue's biology curriculum. The only way to get an A in this class is to memorize every tiny detail she brings up in lecture. This includes irrelevant personal anecdotes, Charles Darwin's birthday, and the names of her pets. I learned nothing of value.
She is a very intelligent and nice professor that clearly has enthusiasm for biology. She makes every student work for their grade, but her tests are fair. The subject matter is more difficult than BIOL 110, but is manageable. Overall she is a really fun professor to have!
Her lectures were unclear. Sometimes cited incorrect information. Snarky and unapproachable. Unprofessional communication via email. I did all of the textbook reading and still did poorly on some exams. I got at A+ with friedman for 110 and a B+ in this class (I read, studied, did all HW, attended all labs /recitations). Would not recommend
She goes into things a little too deep and expects you to know everything. Sorry professor, we have other classes too, specially ones that are over 2 credits. Harshest grader ever, will receive very little credit for explaining things for missing the smallest detail in a word question, even if you had 95% of the answer correct. Never Again.
Not a great professor. Not engaging, NOT clear about due dates. She assigns homework a few days before it's due, even during this pandemic. If you have the choice, take BIOL 286 ONLINE.
This class is ridiculously hard and Zielenski is a terrible professor. The exams and homework are crazy specific, and you will miss a lot of points for leaving out a small detail. The depth at which she expects you to know for exams is absurd and the work load is too demanding for a 2 credit hour class. THIS CLASS IS HORRIBLE
Her lectures are boring yet she makes us show up to class every week by giving these petty 5 point in class quizzes every week. The workload she made for this class is for a 4 credit class while it being 2. Harshest grader ever, wants specific answers to vague question. With 5 course TA's, it took until the very last day to grade our assignments.
Dr. Zielinski midterms/quiz are 50% SA and 50% multiple choice. Like other profs she post the previous year midterm as practice but get this she ONLY post the multiple choice answer key. You can see why this problematic based on the pervious reviews about her. My advice is to get a coursehero account while taking her class.
This class was horrible. Dr. Zielinski clearly knew what she was talking about, but the things she talked about would not even be on the exam. The exams were harder than they should have been because the topics discussed in class were easy. This class is also only 2 credits and homework was given out as if it was a 3-4 credit class.
Dr. Zielinski's I think means well but mainly just reads off the powerpoint slides and doesn't do much else. The exam material is related to the lectures but its not as straight forward and you really have to take good notes and study to do well. Go to PSO they help.
She makes a 2-credit course harder than a five-credit course. She does this with almost all of her classes, and yet she still has a job, even though this has been going on for well over a decade.
Dr. Z is extremely knowledgeable on ecology, with very interesting and lots of examples that make concepts more relatable and easier to visualize. Kind of a tough grader, so read carefully. Lots of premeds take this class and don't particularly care about ecology, so she gets a bad rap, but if you genuinely care about all of biology, she's great.
Dr. Z is really knowledgeable about ecology and had lots of cool topics in lectures. However, this course is mandatory for all biology majors, so it might not be interesting to everyone. She is a really tough grader for exams which make up most of your grade. Study the thought questions and youll pass. More work than a normal 2 credit hour class.
this professor made a 2 credit hour course seem like a 4-5 credit hour course. there were a lot of stupid petty 5 point quizzes that literally taught me nothing. the homeworks were few and far(ish) between but unhelpful.
There is not a lot of homework and lab is fairly easy. The quizzes every recitation do not reflect general lectures but usually a random very specific part of it. If you are unlucky in group discussions, then you will get people who don't contribute. She doesn't explain things well and is incoherent. First exam had a perfect bell curve and no curve
The exam is really hard. I put lots of effort into it. Do not take it! Try Humphrey!
Absolutely terrible. Avoid at all costs. Exams are made to be as tricky as possible, slides are jam packed with information that she will proceed to read off of during lecture (while constantly out of breath). There's an exam nearly every other week, and 1-2 quizzes per recitation. I would rather retake Calc 2 than take a class with her again.
As a person Dr.Z is very knowledgeable and friendly. However, nothing is clear. The way she words her exams makes it nearly impossible to do well. Her exams cover a very wide range of information and if you do not know all the insane specifics you will not pass. You hardly ever know what the quizzes will be about and she flies through lectures.
The exams focus on extremely specific parts of the lecture, and your grade is determined not on how well you understand the overall concepts, but rather how well you memorize the slides. If you take this class, do not do it with this professor. She is a very nice lady, but she makes this class more difficult than it needs to be.
She's a nice lady outside of class, but I wasn't a fan of her as a professor. The exams are so complicated with her including long passages about a certain disease and then expecting us to answer the next 6 questions related to it. It's the second semester of an intro class, there's no reason to test us on material we don't know. Steer clear!
Zielinski is incredibly knowledgeable about biology, and this is reflected in her lectures. However, the exams are unnecessarily complicated and often outside the scope of the material. The MC section, because there can be multiple correct answers, are like gambling, and the lectures are incredibly dense and overly packed with information.
This is probably the worst class I have ever taken at Purdue. So much material, such tiny details, you have to know everything. TA's are on the biggest power trip, and will take off points even if you have the answer word for word. 0/10 would not recommend.
The hardest 2 credit class I will ever take. Dr.Z is a nice person, but does everything as worst as she possibly can. half the content in her lectures are worthless but she expects you to know ever little detail of over 400 slides for 1 exam. The homework's take 2-4 hours each. Exams are insanely difficult. DONT DO IT.
This was the worst class I have ever taken. The grading is extremely specific and the prompts are overly confusing. She clearly cares about the subject and is knowledgeable but makes learning the subject painful.
Exams cover a lot and test on small details from lectures, so just memorize slides. Homework takes forever to finish, can be very vague, and actively tries to make you miss points. Painfully slow at grading (took a month release an exam grade, even after TAs had finished grading weeks prior), blamed low exam scores on COVID (in Spring 2022)
Very caring and nice person. But class is a little tough. Be sure to memorize every slide for midterms and do past exams which can be similar. She did an at-home essay for a part of the final which I liked. Multiple choice is tough and the grading on short response for hw/exams is tough also. Be as detailed as you can with including key words.
Just graded intensely. High point values removed for small mistakes
For a 2 credit hour class, this class really gave me a tough time. My learning style did not match with Professor Zielinski's teaching style at all, and I found it really difficult to remember every detail that she expected us to know on the exams. I found the exams to be difficult, though she did give partial credit for some multiple choice.
She is one of the worse lecturer ever
Dr. Z expects students to memorize her slides for exams, and if you don't remember the smallest details, you won't do well on exams. I did horrible on exams but did well on everything else. The only reason I managed an A was because of the extra credit, and she curved the course at the end. If you can, take this course with the other professor.
Lectures are boring, but lucky for you, every single thing that is asked on exams is found in the slides. People often say this class is impossible but it comes from lack of effort. The grading scale is the most generous I've seen. So many points are offered with the easy scale, so dont lose free pts and exam average can be lower and get an A
Honestly, I mostly hated this class, but at the end, the professor is fair in her grading. To be successful in this class, you have to put in the work. The textbook helps, but spend more time on the lectures. There are tons of extra credit opportunities, make sure you do them. I suggest attending lecture and then rewatching it online again.
I had friends who took Biol 111 with Humphrey and were shocked when I explained how difficult Zielinski's exams were. To do well on exams, just memorize directly from her slides. Exam averages were never above a D, causing the need for an extreme curve at the end because she won't curve exams.
Extremely difficult and showed barely any mercy. The exams were very wordy and asked about minor things. Her idea of extra credit was a research paper and 2-3 bonus questions on the exam. However, the bonus questions were so bizarre that you had to guess
Lectures have way too much content and her tests are unreasonably specific in the details she expects you to know. Her tests make it seem like she expects you to memorize every single word on each slide, and they are PACKED with content
Class is worth 2 credits, should be 3. Wasn't supposed to pass the class but did because she had to curve so low so that the majority of the class didn't fail and she wouldn't get fired.
The content of BIOL286 is very interesting and Dr.Z is an ok lecturer. I don't agree with the harshness of the grading on homework and exams. I would feel extremely prepared and confident for an exam and still get a B/C. Takes way too long to grade anything, ESPECIALLY exams. Do the thought questions and PRACTICE EXAMS!!
She sets up her exams by pulling random sentences from a slide and puts it on the exam. That doesn't sound bad but the first exam contained over 240 slides of content that are packed to the brim and out of those 240 slides she selected 25 multiple choice with seven written responses. You are not given a study guide to exactly know what to study for
Too much info for 2 credit hours and I think they know it, they just won't admit it. Grading is asinine at best as the graders never seem satisfied with your answer and will find a way to take off points. It also takes them a month on average to return exam grades and 2-3 weeks for homework. This class is more work to do and more points to lose.
When people say don't take Bio 286, LISTEN! Run the other way if Dr. Zielinski is the professor. It is all rote memorization. She doesn't care about teaching at all. She refused to answer questions because they asked for clarification on something she was contradictory. She is the epitome of a tenured professor and Purdue needs to do something.
Dr. Zielinski has some of the worst slide decks and lectures I have been witness to in my time at Purdue. Her slides are packed full of irrelevant content and not cohesive. The cherry on top is Dr. Zielinski's complete disregard for student accommodations or wellbeing.
IT'S HARD TO FOCUS ON HER LECTURES AND HER GRADING SCHEME IS TOUGH FOR PEOPLE TO SURVIVE IN THIS COURSE, IT'S HARD TO IMAGINE THIS COURSE JUST WORTH 2 CREDIT POINTS CUZ I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS WORTH AT LEAST 4!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO SPEND MORE THAN 30 HRS PER WEEK STUDYING FOR HER LECTURES CUZ THE MATERIALS ARE TOO DETAILED TO MEMORIZE!!!
During the quiet week, in which instructors are not supposed to give assignments, she gave an essay out and claimed it was a "headstart" on your exam. It was ridiculous and took away time to study for her extremely hard exam.
Dr. Z is very specific and very confusing. She sets very specific criteria for grading tests and homeworks but does not communicate those criteria so there's a lot of guessing and hoping involved. She wants precise examples from her lecture slides and won't give credit for other examples even if they are comparable. Wouldn't take again.
For a 2 credit INTRO to ECOLOGY class, this was a complete nightmare. Lectures are horrible and the slides are so jumbled with information it's difficult to process. Exams will ask about the most specific details found on only a single lecture slide. Takes forever to get grades and students have to jump through hoops to get fair grades. Horrible.
The class was extremely hard for 2 credits, her homework takes time so go to her office hours. TAs are of no help and think they have more power than her. Exams are extremely difficult and you have to memorize every single detail and still end up with a B/C. Just be prepare to study and learn absolutely nothing.
The class wasn't incredible, it was a lot of memorization of terms and not too much critically thinking about questions, the homeworks didn't seem too hard but then I got graded roughly anyway, and the exams are not too fun. Remarkably I did better on the free response than the multiple choice. Just watch the lectures online and write down terms.
Avoid if you can. Worth more than 2 credits. If you take this class, prepare for exams by drilling the slides into your brain and memorize EVERY example used because you will need to use them for the free response. Multiple choice uses a lot of "A and B only" or "Both A and B" and the wording of these answers seems like it's meant to trick you.
If you want a good grade in this class be ready to memorize all the details on her slides.
For a 2-credit class, the structure was way out of pocket. I'm in environmental engineering and need this class as a course requirement. I failed with Dr. barely felt like I was capable of learning in her course, and when I took it again with a different professor I got an A. Dr. Z often ghosted my emails asking for help. Lots more could say.
Compared to Humphrey in 110, this should be a 300 level BIO course. Quizzes and exams tested extremely specific information. After the first exam, she discussed that many students scores were in the 20s-30s. Her solution was that we need to study better. In my opinion, I'm not absorbing her lectures or understanding her exam questions.
Please listen to the reviews when they say to take Humphrey instead. This class is made 10 times harder by her lectures which are extremely long and detailed and her exams are made to trick you. The lab exams are even worse and no matter how much studying you do, it will still not make sense.
Class averages are consistently in the 60s or even 50s range, with her saying 20% of students got in the 20-30%. No matter how much you study you will be unprepared, her exams are extremely detailed and her lectures can be hard to follow since there is so much information packed into each lecture slide. Take Humphrey instead if at all possible.
Very difficult for being a 100 level class, Just beware if you get her for your prof. Also just be on the look out there are weekly quizzes and group discussions that are over very specific information in the lecture slides.
Zielinski is the worst prof at Purdue. Does not care about her students or their success at all. Her lecture exams & lab exams are impossible and trick you. I am always up for a challenging science course, but she makes this 100-level class impossible. It should be a 300-level bio class with her teaching. Take this class with Humphrey!!! Do better
This was the hardest class I have taken at purdue because of Dr. Z Her lectures are impossible to follow & her exams are so tricky confusing. You can walk in feeling 110% prepared and get a 20% on exams. This is not a student friendly class. There is no real opportunity to learn since there is rarely hw and labs are usually unrelated to lecture.
Labs are fairly easy. Recitations are pointless with quizzes and group discussions on insignificant details from lectures. Dr. Z is a kind person, but a horrendous lecturer with very confusing lectures. Midterm exams are impossible to ace, as the questions are very confusing and test on random facts, instead of main concepts. Take Humphrey instead.
she randomly was speaking in French she will say out of pocket things that don't correlate with anything
Too much content packed into each lecture, grades very specifically but won't let you know the specifics, long exams (~8 free response, 1 essay, ~25 multiple choice for midterms), and never responds to emails. One free response question on the second midterm was on vampire bats, which we covered for 1-2 slides 4+ weeks prior to slides. Good luck.
The worst class I have taken at Purdue in regard to professionalism, lecture slide organization, and an obscene amount of useless information or irrelevant information. The exams are hyperspecific on things mentioned once in class on one slide and she claims it is a class of "applied learning" when it is hundreds of slides of recall for each exam.
Dr. Z's lectures are hilarious bc she is lowkey unhinged. Coming from engineering this class is NOT hard but maybe as a Bio student it is; very over-hated class. The exam questions are kind of ridiculous sometimes, and the amount of writing required compared to its graded weight is annoying to deal with. Do not try and memorize everything.
She is a very kind and knowledgeable professor that has good intentions for all her students. She is a tough grader when it comes to free response on her exams and her homework but she does give enough resources to succeed in this class that I wish I had utilized earlier. She is a very funny and nice professor just be ready to study.
Unprofessional. She doesn't answer emails very well, takes her days to respond to a homework or grading questions. Her emails have no signatures, and her office hours are very unorganized, not even mentioned in the syllabus clearly. She talks out of her own mind rather than the book for lectures.
Supe nice, somewhat understanding, but not a good lecturer at all. Content is dense and a first level bio class is treated like a third. One practice exam is given each exam and the amount of exams in the class is excessive (6 not including the final) with only one drop.
The tests are unbelievably difficult for no reason. The course has no curve and it seems like she doesn't care about the fact the average for the most recent tests have been in the 60s. She does give multiple extra credit opportunities but that doesn't make up for the amount of information she expects us to learn for an entry level class.
Dr. Z is not a bad lecturer. I actually really enjoy her lectures as well as her humor But tests are impossible! Averages lie around low-mid 60s w no curve! She includes psos which are supposed to guide you what to study for, which it helps, but you have to know every detail, hard esp for an intro to bio class. She does have lots of EC though so-
although the content is not difficult to understand or learn, the way that she lectures is atrocious. she often leaves out important details which she expects you to know for the tests. and the exam questions go so in depth and do not match the content of a 100 level biology class.
The lectures are okay, but they don't really prepare you for the exams, which are much harder than they need to be. The class average was around 60, and office hours didn't help much either. It feels like there's not a lot of support. If you can, take Sean Humphrey instead, even if it means waiting a semester.
She speeds through lectures and does not explain the content. She despises answering questions and when she does she is combative and does not allow elaborating answers or further questions. The content is confusing and hard to follow. If you can avoid taking this class, do it.
Intense class with lots of memorization. The professor can be hit-or-miss, but unstuck ai was a big help for staying on top of the material. Attend lectures, use the textbook, and be ready to study hard - it's a tough but manageable course.
She only talks during lectures, no writing any notes. The slides are chaotic, filled with lots of details you might think are not important, then she will have those tiny details included in exams. Also be ready for trick questions. There are in class graded assignments without prior announcement.
I'm sure this class is fine if you're an ecology and evolution fanatic. But I did not learn anything. Exams are impossible, in class assessments are impossible. Don't take this class
Not phased by the amount of people that drop her Bio286 class year after year.
Most of you here are probably forced to take this class; good luck. This entire class feels like a gotcha class rather than a teaching class. The lectures are riddled with tidbits of information that you feel are unnecessary(like knowing there are 11,500 remaining vegan orangutans with the name Kevin on the island of Tukangutan) or some sh**.
She adds fun details at the start of class that relate to nature in IN and genuinely cares about ecology. It is more helpful to take notes on what she says in person and then connect your notes back to her info-filled lecture slides. Don't trust sour premed students rating her a 1, she makes me care about ecology. I have had wayyy worse bio profs.
Avoid this class at all costs. For a 2-credit, 200-level course, the amount of extra content and depth she covers is insane. And quite frankly, evil. Her lectures are pointlessly long and packed with irrelevant details/examples that show up on exams, which make up most of the grade. It's no surprise so many students drop the course or fail out. Run
She's a very nice person who cares deeply about what she teaches. I feel that a lot of the bad ratings are more aimed at the course rather than her teaching. With that being said, I would agree that the course needs to be raised to 3 credit hours or have a reduction in content.
It's clear Dr. Zielinski cares about her students. I overheard her asking people about programs they had applied for & celebrating their accomplishments. However, she can't teach. I didn't expect it to be interesting but it was mind numbing. The lecture slides have too much info and are unclear what's actually important. I didn't read the textbook
Tough grader and lots and lots and lots of content beyond what you can even imagine, but she genuinely cares for her students and the subject and is very approachable outside of class.
Despite being a wonderful person, Dr. Zelenski is one of the most evil professors at Purdue. Every year she receives the same feedback about her exams, and a very small fraction even passes these exams to begin with (the most common grade for an exam is a D), but the exams never change. She makes them impossible with pride. Save yourself early.
Second worst class ever. Made way harder than other professors that teach this, does not care, only cares about her research, does not screen her TA's for communication skills, her PowerPoints are word slop, unclear about goals of class/lectures, goes on tangent, terrible presenter. Bad tests, quizzes, homework, different than in class material.
She seems like a nice person but her quizzes and tests are insanely hard. The answer choices on the test feel like they are always made to trick you. Her tests basically require you to remember all the tiniest details from her lecs that are filled with the most insane amount of material. A lot of her lec slides have a lot of random small facts too.
Impossible exams
do what you can to take w/ humphrey in the spring. she makes exams unnecessarily difficult for a 100 level intro bio class (none of the averages were > 60%) & they feel almost impossible to study for bc every question feels like a riddle. her lecture slides are just paragraphs of text and she goes so quickly you don't have a chance to read them.
