Great teacher, I would take her again! She absolutely loves teaching.

She is young and understands not all of her students love school as much as she. Her interest in Psychology gets you interested and she is very clear about what will be on her test. Its not hard but not a blow off class either. I loved her class!

The best teacher i have ever had in my whole entire life.I took this class because it was required but know i will def take another class with this teacher as long as she is teaching the class. Her last day speech was real moving and touching.

I had her for Sociology, she never really lectured. Which was awesome because all we did was have big discussions about what's going on in Society. She tells you what's on the test, so it's up to you to study for it. We also had like 5 food days at the end of the year. w00t

this is the easiest class at san jac. i am interested in anthropology and didnt learn anything. im not sure she knows anything about it. the projects are like we did in middle school. i wanted a college course and got nothing. she is nice and not bad to look at, but what a waste of my time.

This prof loves her job. Prof Edwards teaches in a different style than other teachers. I loved her Anth class. I learned a lot about culture. I enjoyed the Japanese slideshow from various trips. She will not read the book to you and you will have to study. Her lecture style makes you think about how her class is related 2 life. 5 stars!

Very good teacher! no she doesnt lecture in class, but come on her AOC(areas of concentration) are straight from the test! Do those and you will make a B. study some more and you can make an A. In class all you talk about is Current events. I love her and am taking her for 2 classes next semester!

Took her cultural anthropology class online. 3 exams, 3 quizzes, 1 project (3-5 pg paper) and 1 final. You HAVE TO READ the chapters in the anthro textbook to pass. Overall not a bad course/teacher. Don't really need to study, just read the chapter, then take the test. Would reccommend her.

Discussion u will find interesting. Her teaching is different but good. She makes you recall example or discussion and you will recall the idea that she test over.

This class was awesome. Projects r easy, tests r easier. She gives u a list of AOC'S and u go over some of em in class, the rest r up 2 u. Towards the end of class she gets kinda lazy, but at that point u should have a high 'A' who cares. Take her, the class rocks.

Easy A as long as you go to class, pay attention and participate. Project is easy and she is very available if you need help. Gives AOC's and uses the same wording in lecture as she does on the test- make sure to take notes! Encourages students to voice opinions and tell about personal experiences when relevant to class.

She was a really nice teacher, but seemed to get off topic a lot. Her tests were easy, I never studied or really tried and ended with a B. In all of her classes she has a 15 minute oral presentation. So if you don't do well in public speaking, she's probably not for you.

THE MOST AMAZING PROFESSOR ANYONE COULD EVER HAVE THE PLEASURE OF TAKING. Things are never boring. She keeps a lively discussion, light debates. We learn more than what is required by the class. Tests come STRAIGHT out of the notes. Just go to class and pay attention and you've got an A. Best professor I've ever taken.

I took Ms. Edwards class online. She gives very clear instructions and let's you take the class at your own pace. She provides thorough information in her powerpoint presentations. Although I did not always get a response to my emails, I still recommend her for online Anthropolgy.

took his online class and got an A. If you study and read the book then the tests and quizs are very easy. just make sure you read EVRYTHING in the chapters like the side stories and take notes. he responds to emails very quickly too

One thing that is complicated about this class is the test's are pretty wordy but you need to know the examples she uses during lectures so i highly recommend you go to class as much as possible. This class is definitely one that should be taken in the classroom. Online is a lot of useless reading with no visual aids and no support from teacher. You are required to read chapters 1-18 with 50 question test for each 2-3 sections totaling 4 quizzes and 4 exams.

Best Professor! I took her SOCI 1301 class online, and I loved it! She offered extra credit, and she is very understanding. Always responded to my emails. You won't find another professor like her!

Prof Edwards was fun to listen to, but she didn't cover all her AOC's, but if you focused on those and read the chapters, the test follows the AOC's. The project is an easy A if you pick a topic you truly enjoy and know a lot about! Overall pretty easy A but you gotta study a bit and take notes during class for the AOC's. Lots of extra credit too!

Professor Edwards is such a great teacher! I took this class in a 5 week online course in the summer and I passed with an A. Four tests, three quizzes, writing assignment, four DB's & an extra credit assignment. Super easy! You need the book in order to pass since you have to read all the chapters. Very manageable if you're on top of things!

Mrs Edwards is a great teacher! I took her during the three week mini! She gives the material that you will need to do well on the test, you will however have to read sections of the book.

Really good teacher. Her life lessons are great but when it comes to actually going over things about the test she gets off track a lot. Sometimes the reading doesn't help for her test. You have to really try a lot in this class. She's a great lady but its not an easy class.

Professor Edwards definitly knows what she is talking about! She is passionate about what she teaches but that often gets her distracted. You get a list of terms that will be on the tests and if you take enough notes and listen to what she is saying, you will pass. Going to every class is essential but I was never bored in that class.

Proud to say that I made a B in a psychology class that I just finished up, a 16 week course compressed into 3 weeks. Mini semesters are always a challenge, especially during the holidays, but they are so worth it. Honestly, I am very disappointed that I chose the class I did, just because I enjoyed it SO MUCH. Passed the class without the book too

What a fun class!!! She is so passionate about what she teaches and is helpful to any questions you might have. Every lecture was so amazing, it was hard not to pay attention. I would take any class she offers just because she is that great.

Took Human Sexuality class online. Very interesting, but it probably would have been more engaging in a classroom. Reading straight from the textbook was not very fun, and chapters are very long. Professor is good, would take her again. In person!

Incredibly easy professor to work with. From the very beginning, she outlines what needs to be done to get to an A. I did read every chapter, but this class doesn't require crazy amount of work. She is also very generous with her extra credit points. Don't hesitate to take her.

I took about 4 classes from her! You definitely won't regret taking her! You'll pass if you listen in class.

I really enjoyed her class, she is really inspirational and very very understanding of people. I took 6 classes this semester, and hers was my favorite. I learned many diverse and interesting things that I feel will help me throughout my life.

I took 2 classes of her's during the summer and she was great both times. Her classes are heavily based on the book, which is pretty interesting. There are 3 exams and a final and 3 quizzes along with a disscussion post per exam. The classes are pretty easy if you are willing to put some effort and time into it.

Honestly one of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. It wasn't super easy but it's definitely manageable. As long as you study and put effort into the assignments you'll be fine! I loved her and her lectures, and I learned a lot from them.

Best teacher Ive had. Unless youre trying to get spoon fed I would highly recommend her. She is passionate about what she teaches which helped keep my attention. 4 exams, one presentation, free food. She walks you through all the AOCs (Areas of concentration) for the exams as well so take notes.

Basically your grade is the tests and presentation. She's not a hard professor she likes talking and hearing people's stories. She's a fun teacher and has lots of stories.

Professor Edwards is a great professor, she has gone through multiple trials in life and has amazingly surpassed them. Attendance matters and theres only 1 presentation, 3 exams and a final. I would most certainly take her if you need a life span class.

Ive had to work more because of this pandemic. I missed a test because of work. I emailed her if she could let me to re-take it and she did! Didnt take any points off either. You only have 5 tests and 5 DB. Obviously, theres a final but thats it. Most non-stressful class ever. Finding the book is the hardest part as it is extremely new.

This class was by far one of my favorite classes! Prof Edwards was very lenient on grades bc of corona and she actually cared for her students :). Her lectures were amazing! The grades were mostly based upon exams, which were fairly easy! She also gave extra credit for attendance for online through every class you attended for her.

This was a great class. The syllabus is straight to the point. Professor Edwards does not bombard you with homework. You have 4 exams and 4 discussion boards. Not stressful at all. I am currently taking her PSYC 2314 class.

I loved her Lifespan class; each lecture was so inspiring. Professor Edwards is very wise and has a lot of experiences to share. She allows the use of the book during tests. You only have to take very easy four tests and make one presentation.

Professor Edwards was my favorite professor this semester. We had 3 exams plus the final. Even though I took this class face to face, she made us take the exams online at home. We had one presentation and one discussion, which were kind of fun because we get to choose the topic. She may seem cold at first but is super nice. Totally recommend.

The class was overall good. Something I didn't like was that you HAD to purchase a book- $180 for a used one.. 4 test (including final), 5 DB, and 1 extra credit assignment if needed. The tests were okay, just you REALLY had to work for them ... If I had to, yes I would retake her class , shes very nice and clear on what is expected. Id recommend!

I loved this class, she was very funny and the lectures were never boring, there were 4 exams that you can take at home, one paper, and a lot of extra credit opportunities. There is one major presentation on any topic in the textbook and 2-3 students present each day following a regular class lecture.

Just finished Lifespan Growth and Development and I took it in person with her class. She gives good lectures and she bases it with real life scenarios. One presentation for a project was a requirement in the class, and I don't like doing them. If you ever have anxiety doing presentations just talk to her and she'll be understanding and caring. :D

The tests were easy and instead of a HUGE essay she asks us to do a goal, bucket, and wish list. She's compassionate and wise, although she does not really teach the criteria she teaches real life! I appreciate an easy clas, but this one was too easy to the point of being forgettable. It lacked interactivity and we had to teach ourselves. The workload was easy but the course felt a bit lazy on her part. She gives an optional essay for extra credit. The topic is very weird, so just skip it if you don't need the points. I would recommend her.

She takes forever to grade assignments even though her coursework is not heavy. She deducted a few points of my DB without telling me what I did wrong. Her online course is not very interactive and you will need to teach the material yourself. Easy class and nice but not very interactive professor. Do your work and this class will be an easy A.

We went over the curriculum while also talking about real life experiences and lessons, and the class was very interactive! Exams aren't difficult, all info is from the textbook, and not a heavy workload. Definitely take for an easy pass!

Professor Edwards is truly so sweet and caring! All tests are taken at home and online! There is one presentation that she takes forever to grade, but it's not too terrible. She doesn't have any instructions on blackboard on how to do the presentation or list assignment so when she talks about it make sure to take notes.

This professor was very nice and her lectures were very interesting and eye opening! The tests aren't hard (if you read the textbook) and the presentation is very easy. Very few assignments.
