gives extremely clear notes

Good Professor. Give Lots of Note. I didn't even have to use the book. Just study the note.

In his class, only thing you need to do is to copy, copy, and copy the notes. too much notes. But he teaches very clear and understandable. You study, you get A. You do not study, then bye bye. No other chance.

If you copy what he writes on the board, you dont even need to buy the book. he gives 7 true/false quizes (one every other week) with extra credit (sometimes it's alot and sometimes its like not but it's usually a lot)

Don't buy the book. His notes are so clear. Everything on the board will be on the test. I passed every single test with a high grade with out opening the book. He's very helpful (after class). During class, he doesn't really answer your questions.

profeesor bakwics it a kool gusy but his quiziz suck. he gives guiz every other week and what ever he teaches or gives notes those thing do not come on the quiz. what ever hey says from his mouth thats what come on the quiz. pay attention and youll do good but most of time student pass his quizzies.

He is very very very understandable and crystal clear. He writes a whole lot but it's well worth it.Study and you'll do good. TRUST.

ALERT: DONT BUY THE BOOKs his notes are very clear and detailed, often youll fall asleep, but he knows his stuff. lab is long also he takes up every min. with notes... so just know what your getting into.if you study his notes you will pass.hes very helpful in class& his exam and lab quizzes are fai

This is a good professor, but he takes too long before he gives an exam, so you have a lot to study. Instead of giving you the definition of something and have you select the correct answer he give you the reverse. Which I found very interesting and challenging because students are accustomed to things being spoon fed to them. He is a challenge.

His class isn't that hard at all. A lot of deep details on exams so it's semi-hard for you if you don't study at all. A great professor who can teach. Yes boring but if you want to pass this class and study a little (but u gotta have a good memory) and get a B+, take his class.

This was my first college bio class, obviously, but he made it understandable and not too complicated. He discussed EVERYTHING he gave on tests. He even gave us unnecessary extra-credit. I loved his teaching and wish I could have him again.

Be ready to take lots of notes. He do not take his time to teach, he rushes from chapter to chapter.

well I disagree with the last 2 comments. He talks much but about the topic, not about ur gf/bf. He teaches good, u understand evrything. tests are right from the notes, so take good notes. don't need to spend money on the book :)don't buy it. he explains everything clearly,so thats y he has to talk more. The best proffesor I have ever had!!! I wish I could have him again... He made me love Biology and makes it easy. If you take all his notes you'll do good in his exams.

prof. bakewicz is very clear on his lectures and whatever is in this lectures is on his exams. His exams are pretty easy and he seems to love drawing pictures if cells, membranes and such.

He is a very good professor. He answers questions, and makes sure you understand the lesson. You only need the lab manual, not the text book. You will write alot, but if you go over your notes you will get 100 on the tests. I definitely recommend taking his class.

Talks a lot and is really boring. Is clear. Pay attention, and dont be late. Writes a lot, but you have to copy all of the notes to get a good grade. Overall I think he was good.

He gives great notes and is extremely fair with grades. He is clear with explaining things and very helpful with any questions you may have. His exams arent hard, as long as you put alittle effort in.

He explains things very clearly and made me very interested in biology. He is very willing to answer questions in and after class and is very helpful. Its obvious that he wants his students to understand the material. If he is rude, it is only because the students are very rude and disruptive in class.

BORING! Talks endlessly from the moment he walks into the room to about 5 minutes after the class is supossed to be finished. Rambles on and on from one topic to the other without a transition in between. And one word of advice - don't ever be late. If you are, he will treat you as if you were in high school and embarrass you.

He is a very knoledgeble prof. I recommend him for nursing majors - you'll learn a lot from him. His tests are very tricky, he likes to challenge students, so don't expect easy A. I got an A on his lab, and bio wasn't my major. If you study and don't sleep on his lab, you'll get great grade on your lecture class as well. He explains everything crys

He teaches very clear and you don't have to open the text book and study again if your pay attention in the class. He really cares to his students and makes sure they pass the exam with good grade.His exams are a little tricky and Hard but if you study his class notes,you will get good grade.He gives lot of extra credits.GREAT PRO. :)

Prof is very clear. If you take good notes, read the book, and study you will do well. I not only did well, but learned more than I thought possible. I wish all my profs could be so clear. Yes, you had to do some work, but you don't have to kill yourself... He's GREAT!

Advice: take his class if you plan to major in medical field. He discusses every topic in detail (what you need to pass proficiency exam for nursing, med school, ect). If you need addtitional explaination, he is ALWAYS available and willing to help. People does not appreciate his dedication and hard work. His only weakness is poor time management.

I had him for LAB. His quizzes are easy if you take excellent notes (you must write down everything he says) the book is sometimes useful but its expensive (either photocopy it or get a copy with a friend) He can be mean and/or boring but who cares! if you study the notes you can get an A without really trying hard.

I have no idea what any of these people are talking about. Prof. Bakewicz is very nice. His exams are easy, and since he wrote the textbook you hardly need it. He lectures for maybe 30 mins. to an hour and if you finish your experiment early he lets you go. The class is boring but he's very thorough and answers all questions clearly.

I don't know why people are complaining so much about this professor, he is not that bad. He really knows science and u just need to listen and write. He alwasys gives you extra point questions. If you want to learn something go for this proffesor he is Dr. and not just a professor. :)

He is a great professor. His lectures are clear and easy to understand. His test are all base on the notes he give in class. If u really want to get something out of this class this is the professor to consider. The only negative part of his class is that it get really boring most of the time

he is the best bio professor i ever had in my life. I took his course over the summer. I am actually a student from columbia university, but i took his course over the summer for bio credit. his explanation was very clear and he really knows his science. i think he is even better than a columbia professor. much better.

Professor Bakewicz is very particular with his classroom setting. He gives a quiz every other week and it is based entirely on his teachings. There are no surprises. If there are any misunderstandings, it is because you did not take the time out to ask him a question.

He was a great teacher. Very nice. It was my first semester in college.

Overall, he knows his stuff and will make sure to let you know that he knows what he talking about.. by his continuous talking lol! Just follow through and write down whatever he writes on the board and study that. He's extremely clear, so if you do bad in this class it's really your fault not his.

Amazing professor even though he talked alot, he covered every deatil and info you need to understand the basis of Biology. I wish the new professors would learn off of people like him. Got an A in the class and all the 15 days of intense studying in the summer was worth it.

Exellent teacher but too much material on the tests werent covered.Maybe because it was summer session.

Such a great teacher. I had him for summer session 1 and he was detailed. I learned so much, and i actually can say i retaied it as well. He is very good at explaining things in such a way that you understand. Very good teacher and gives A LOT of extra credit if needed. I never needed it, but it was a cushion to know that it was there!

he was awesome, clear, and concise...problem was that he is a bit impatient with the students inability to understand a certain topic....but depsite his hard exterior, he helps out alot, compared to other professors i've had

Veryyy good profff!!! Straight to the point! Explains everything very clearly well understood. TAKE ALOT OF NOTES! Even the smallest detail make a differance!!! Tests are hard but if you study then no problem. Kinda impaitent with students that are slow but other wise amazing prof!

Professor Bakewicz is a great professor he thoroughly explains everything so well. I learned a lot from his Bio 1 class!

He is probably the best professor I've ever met. I got 100+ in all his tests. He teaches everything very thoroughly and crystal clearly. To get 100+ in all his exams I suggest you bring a netbook or laptop with you and type everything he says. Also bring a small notebook to write whatever he writes on board. Labs are group-based. He's nice+polite!

Great professor. To be honest, I think I learn more from his semi-lecture within lab than I do at my actual lecture. VERY thorough. Highly recommend.

Great professor, a bit impatient but will still take the time out to explain the lab exercises. Very knowledgeable and includes extra credit on his test, which are a helpful.

Hes a great professor! Although, his lectures are really long you learn a lot. Extra credit is given on quizzes which helps. Just study class notes thoroughly.

The long lectures have taught me more than my lecture professor has. If you enjoy biology, then you shouldn't have a problem with his lectures. Gets very detailed and the numerous quizzes gives you a better chance to get an A. Although he gets frustrated with a lot of simple mistakes students can make, he still delivers mutual respect.

Prof. Bakewicz a really nice professor. In my Bio1101 he was the lab professor and he explained the topics at the same speed of the lecture class so we were be able to comprehend better the chapters, you have to take good notes because some of what he writes on the blackboard is going to be on the quizzes.
