I had failed a previous class before getting him as my prof. There were no quizzes, no homework and you always get out of class early. He was very kind and always made sure you actually understood the material.

He is always well prepared for class; he does a great job at teaching the material.He is always mentioning his office hours and the MAC lab,if you need extra help, and if you miss a class he will still provide you with the notes,which consist of working through a lot of math problems from the textbook, which leaves you well prepared for the test.

Best teacher I ever had. Brings his game everyday and wants nothing more than to help you. He begs and pleads for you to come and visit him during his office hours if you need help. Uses phrases that help you remember. Gives his best every day. There is nobody like him.

Great professor, really wants you to succeed. Is very easy to understand. I haven't cracked open my text book once because he puts all the problems on screen and the online homework is plenty. He doesn't assign any extra problems except the work on MyMathLab. Never makes you go up to the board and do problems either!

I took this class(0100) spring semester . He gives you so many examples, explains why he solved the problem that way, provides easy steps. If you don't think you are good in math he will change that.

Mr. Eckert has been one of the best math instructors I have ever had. He made the material easy to understand and offered multiple ways to work through problems. I hope I am lucky enough to have him as an instructor again. He seems to genuinely care about the success of his students. I can't say enough good things about him as a teacher.

He takes your attendance for a grade. All homework is on MyMathLab. He does not assign extra book work or quizzes. There are chapter tests he gives in class. He is goofy and tries to explain the material in a way you would understand. He tells a lot of stories and will go out of his way to help you. I recommend for slow paced learners. Enjoyed it!

Mr. Eckert is probably the best instructor that I have had so far. He does an amazing job on explaining the material and makes sure everybody understands. He makes the class fun, enjoyable, and understandable. He gives you points on attendance and mymathlab but best of all, no quizzes. He also has office hours which are very helpful.

I'm not good at math. But Eckert explains things very clearly and very well, and helped me to get my first ever A in math (I usually get C's and D's.) He uses examples that you'll see on tests, which is really helpful. As long as you show up to class and pay attention, you'll do really well.

This class was very easy for me, because math is my favorite subject. The study guides we were given before each exam, were the most helpful. Great instructor, if you ever have a misunderstanding go to his office hours he'll get you on track.

Eckert seems to care about his students and their success. He is well-meaning and makes himself available as much as I think is possible to students who are in need of extra help in math comprehension. Homework is heavy, but, from my understanding, it could be much worse, and the heavy amount of work does equate to the 4 credit hours.

Professor Eckert is an amazing teacher and he really cares about his students. I've never been great at math but I did very well in his class. He explains things very clearly the first time and if you don't understand something he is more than happy to help. He is also always available for help outside class. He's an amazing person overall.

Pretty funny professor. No pop quizzes, so if you show up to class, you're pretty much getting the same credit as you would if you were there for the pop quizzes

Eckert is a laid back down to earth guy who breaks down math to relate to anyone. His tricks of remembering equations and or steps to follow really resonate in the head, which ultimately helps you. I didn't open the textbook once because he gives you plenty of examples for notes.

He is a great professor. He tells many stories and brings a lot of relatable things to the subject. The stories seem like they are pointless but often they help you remember the topics.

You sign in and that counts as attendance doesnt matter if you stay all class or not. He basically just does problems all day uses good metaphors to help you remember things for the test and Keeps it interesting. Math sucks but professor lets you do it on your own terms which was great for my schedule and preferences.

Dennis is a very traditional teacher, specifically when it comes to his teaching style. Overall, he cares about you as a student, however be ready to hear the same sentences: "He always puts this on the test" or "He loves to put this on the test" and sometimes he mixes it up with: "This will absolutely be on the test guys." Great Professor! Took his math course spring of 2018. After failing a higher level course I decided to go back to basics. I am so glad I had Professor Eckert. He was fantastic at tying in algebra with memorable stories which helped me remember the algebraic strategies. He wants you to succeed. Gave attendance points (BONUS!!) and no pop quizzes.

As an older student I was highly cautious of college and ready to drop out at the first signs of a misfit. I hate math. I have never preformed well in a math course. I am glad I took this professor because even though I still had confusion I learned alot more in this course with him than any other math course. He's a funny guy very laid back. He is also helpful. There is a lot of homework in this course! Sometimes you may have to tell him to slow down.

While I find math rather dreadful, Prof Eckert made it bearable by being animated during lectures and provided useful mnemonics and other devices to help remember the processes. However, he moves fast at times and it may be hard to keep up. He also has a bit of a tendency to go on tangents unrelated to math. If you pay attention, you should be fine
