I do NOT recommend this teacher for anyone who needs to take BLAW3430. He taught a Mon/Wed class and Tues/Thur class. He does his lecture by memory so he would tell things to the other class that he would forget to tell us (vise versa). He has NO time for his students if you want to ask him legitimate questions about your grade.

Pros: No homework, No textbook needed, Clear grading, Easy pass if you ALWAYS SHOW UP, Happy nice prof, extra credit opportunities Cons: Lecture heavy so don't miss anything, grades are exam heavy, the material is boring so even though the professor makes it fun it's still business law Overall I recommend Engler 5/5 times I enjoyed his class.

Prof Engler is one of a kind. His lectures are actually entertaining because he has a great sense of humor. You definitely have to attend lectures to succeed in this class. This class consisted of chapter quizzes on mindtap, 4 exams, and participation in lectures. I would definitely take him again! He's is funny, wise, and straight forward.

Show up and do your homework: 200 points guarantee. You will need an average of 85 points/exam to pass with an A. Be smart: 1) Understand and memorize the flashcards in the study tools section in MindTap. 2) Do the same for each chapter summary. 3) Go on quizlet, search and practice "BLAW 3430 Engler exam" or "BLAW 3430 UNT exam" Good Luck!

Somewhat tries to be funny. That all goes out the window when you hear his lectures. Speaks quickly and back tracks. A lot. Recording recommended. First test is brutal. Have to attend class and read the textbook. Don't study, will not pass. Randomly calls on people for attendance to ask a question and lectures from there. Take at own risk. Not easy

Professor Engler knows his stuff pretty well, but sometimes it was hard to understand the material, and he was in no rush to help clear confusion. Very heavy on cold calling, which I absolutely despised. He will not repeat himself in lectures, and talks super fast so you better be a fast typer. Tests weren't too hard, just study the textbook.

His excuse for not helping me was the amount of students enrolled this semester. If he cant handle it than he should pass the students on to someone who can take care of them. He could have easily helped me if he wanted to or if he tried. We pay to be here, I only want a professor like that. HARD PASS

He's really sweet and very passionate about his class but his lectures are all over the place. It's a lot of information to retain so make sure you pay attention and use outside resources. He does say he will make sure we pass

Class is textbook and lecture heavy. Your grade for this class is determined by 4 exams and the homework. Exams aren't too bad if you follow his lectures and read the textbook.

I took his class online, and he provides you with pre-recorded lectures that you can watch on your own-time. His lectures contain every piece of material you need to know for the exam. Watching the lectures and taking good notes guarantees an easy A. The textbook helps in understanding the material, but if you understand his lectures its not needed

Probably one of the worst professors I have ever had. Don't take the class unless you are committed to failing or close to failing. The final was really the only thing close to the exam. No matter how much you study his lectures and book I swear his exams are nothing alike.

Dennis seems to really care about his students and their success in his class. He tries to keep his students engaged by telling funny stories. Sometimes he can be all over the place but he stays on track for the most part. He is super knowledgeable about BLAW and I will definitely try to get him as my professor for my next BLAW class. Take him:))

I learned a lot from him! He's a great teacher just don't miss a class otherwise you'll get behind fast. The only bad thing about him is he doesn't respond to emails fast. I was sick for a week didn't get a response till the week has passed. Students loved him and he always tells the students stories since he works in law he has a lot of examples.

Overall I Iiked Engler. He calls on random people each class and if you aren't there he'll count off your attendance so make sure you show up to class. The assignments only take like 20 min of your time each week however the tests are extremely difficult and it's pretty much completely up to you to prepare because his study guides arent very useful

Dennis Engler was a great professor. He is passionate about his field and taught the concepts to us in a very entertaining way. I looked forward to attending his class. The tests can be difficult if you do not pay attention or attend his lectures, but otherwise they are not too bad. There wasn't much busywork either.

Professor Engler an absolute chad and a Top G. This professor is the best BLAW professor at UNT you could ask for. Gives out decent curves on exams and gives actual reviews unlike the other BLAW professors. He is literally a god amongst man. He is the real life equivalent of Saul Goodman.

Engler is a solid professor. He is heavy on lectures so it helps to be there in person. Sometimes he gets a little unclear or off track, which is why I rate him a 4 star. Listen to his lectures and just use quizlets to study for the tests and you'll be just fine, it's a good bit of memorization.

Great professor! He really got me invested in learning about the principals of legal & ethical environments of business. I was so open minded and paid close attention to everything. However, this class was tough when it came to the exams which felt like I forgot what I learned, but he gives curves. I only wished he shared notes for us to study.
