If you take notes and can read the book and know how to study, its an easy A. All written answer tests. If you can convince him of your answer he'll except it.He rocks.

One of the greatest instructors I have taken at Orange Coast College. Very knowledgeable and inspirational about subjects he teaches. Defintely take his courses.

Best teacher i've had in years. I've never felt so close to a teacher like him and we barely spoke to eachother. Enjoyed his jokes. All the areas he taught could be used in real world applications and as you walk through advertising spectrums, the principles he taught are right there. Now pursuing a minor in marketing because of him!

Never had to buy any of the books for all of his 3 classes(saved 300 bucks), got 2 b's and an a. He teaches straight from his own experiences. VERY FUNNY and very GOOD STORIES. loved his class learned a @#$#% load of things

AWESOME TEACHER

Great Teacher! I wish there were more classes to take. I would take the each class again for fun. Study your notes for 100 & 110 (book not required for tests) but you'll need the book for the advertising class. In all 3 classes, I received an "A". I recommend all my friends to take his courses.

Dennis is one of if not the best teacher I've ever had. His lectures are full of great life teachings that can be applied immediately. He doesn't teach out of the book (like crap teachers) but has original and fun lectures each class. I am very confident in my abilities in marketing/business after taking his marketing certificate program.

This guy made me change my major. I would suggest him for ANYONE even if marketing is your thing. He's good for making you want to go out and conquer the world.

I took all of his classes back in 1999-2002 unbelievable awesome teacher. his classes have full of laugh and dynamic lectures. not too easy for the test but take a good notes.. you will get a good scores for sure. but test is not everything.. best teacher ever.. he changes your whole perception about life. gives you courage to keep trying..

Dennis was a freaking AMAZING teacher. I took his courses from 2001-2002, and he actually motivated me to get into the mortgage business. He gave me a great recomendation to a very large company that ended up hiring me! You must take all 3 of his classes... I would actually take them again just for fun!

First, I thought I really met a great teacher. BUT BUT BUT, he does kind of different ways as he says which sounds really great. Remember? See what people do but not what they say! Once there was a question on a exam he didn't cover, but he didn't want to admit. I record his class every time. Also,non-English native speaker---DON'T GO!!

Even if you aren't interested in Business, I say SIT IN HIS FIRST LECTURE... He'll make you want to change your major to Marketing, I promise! He's amazing. And goes over all questions on the test BEFORE the test

I loved this class and always looked forward to it--never a dull moment. The class was always informative and entertaining and I left there remembering and utilizing everything I learned. Taking good notes is key because the tests are based on lectures.

I took the Principle of Advertising class with him a few years ago and enjoyed every minute of it. He is brilliant at what he does and sells you on his enthusiasm from the very first day of class. Take him even if you don't need the class, the knowledge you'll receive is worth the reg. fee 100x's over!

if you dont have morgan's marketing certificate then you need to get it... best classes i've ever taken. best teacher ever. if you go to class and take notes you'll learn everything you need to know. if you go and don't take notes you'll still learn some ****. reading the book helps but is not totally necessary. everyone should take his class!

I Got Morgan's marketing certificate and I can honestly say that he is the best teacher in OCC. If you are at all remotely intrested in buisness take his classes. you will be happy you did! I got an A in all 3 classes just by attending class and listening to what he says. This is what learning should be like!

I took Dennis in 2001 and still find ways that he has helped me in my life and my career. He is really a special person who loves what he does and it shows! I have referred more people to him than I could possibly count, and each one comes back just LOVING him. He's an amazing man, and the fact that he's sexy doesn't suck.

I took every class he teaches at OCC because he skips the book and teaches practical application. 90% of his tests are from lectures and if you show that you understand the question (but couldn't find the words) then he will give you points.

Prof Morgan is the best teacher I have had i transfered back from a university to occ and none of my teachers even compare to Prof Morgan. His class is pretty easy if you go to class and take notes you will be fine. I haven't opened the book once and ive gotten A's on both tests. DEFINATELY take it!

Good teacher, easy grader. have to take good notes cause he doesnt lecture from the book. You dont need to buy the book at all. It was boring to me cause I hate sales, but everyone else seemed to like it. Attendance is not mandatory and he gives you lots of opportunities for extra credit.

you might not be interested in getting into the sales world but take it anyways, he teaches you how to get jobs, ask for promotions/raises, land interviews, etc. really useful material. really cool guy and genius. group project at the end sucked though becuase everybody in my group was in their own world. don't even buy the book

Do you hate sales? Than take this class!! There is a high chance that you have no idea how sophisticated sales techniques work...this class can highly improve your communications skill, make you money or save u some, when you can recognize when somebody is using sales techniques to get your attention/$$. If you are in sales TAKE THIS GUY! THE BEST!

This is one of the few prof's that truly care about students. You do not need the book, and you will be tested straight from the notes so I wouldn't recommend missing a class. It's hard to keep up with him some times because he talks like an auctioneer, but he's more than willing to help, and he teaches you real world applications. would recommend.

Took him for three classes. He truly cares about his students and provides solid real world advice. He is very approachable during office hours and always willing to help. One of the best teachers I have ever had. I would recommend him to any one who has an interest in marketing and sales, and even those that don't. I didn't until I met him.

He is such a great teacher! He keeps class interesting and really cares about his students. Quizzes and tests are pretty hard, all writing out the answer quizzes, but the project at the end really helps your grade. He is wonderful

If you go to class & take notes you'll get an A! DON'T BUY THE BOOK, never used it, exams based on notes. I didn't really like this class (or the teacher for that matter; he's ALWAYS late, & you have to wait outside). Big group project at the end of the semester; if you don't get a good group or idea you're screwed; luckily I loved my group!

I have taken all of Professor Morgans Class, as well as a few close friends, none of us had serious ambition to end up in the marketing or sales fields. After completing his 3 courses, you couldn't not wanna do it for a career! he was so amazingly clear and helpful. I have done well with this info, absolutely top professor!!!

One of the BEST professors here at OCC. Every teacher should take notes from Prof. Morgan on how to teach effectively. He is crystal clear, makes the lectures fun and applies "real world" concepts to everything. Lots of examples to help you remember the material. Not to mention he is also a great guy who inspires and motivates students-take him!

I took Morgan for MKTG 100 AND MKTG 110 and will take him for MKTG 130 as well- that's how good he is. We get a University quality professor here at OCC and everyone should take advantage of that. Attend class, take good notes and study and you'll be fine. All tests are short answer and one big group project at the end. But all very manageable.

Class is interesting, but you have to write down every word he says to pass. Useful day to day knowledge, but have to drop to save my GPA because test/projects impossible to Ace. Really you must note every word he says, and he talks fast. Hard test, but will help you sell more.

FRQs for tests and record his lectures and take really good notes, take notes that are only necessary or else it will mess you up. examples help you to remember the terms, group project was easy if you follow guidelines, pretty easy class if you pass the tests, BS it if you can't think of anything

He is super awesome, he teaches a lot of life lessons along with some really good marketing lessons. He does give you a lot of good ideas and encouragement. Every time I went to class I left happy. You do have to take notes on literally everything he says, because a small detail can be on the test. DONT BUY TEXT BOOK NEVER USED IT!!!!!!!!!!

I total want to take his marketing class. I meet him at a women's conference and he is very empowering. I recommend you to take his class. I promise you he will change the way you see life. He is a person of great qualities!

I really enjoyed his class and plan to take more. His tests are essay form but straight forward questions. If you study you'll do fine. He does require a group project at the end and you have to earn your grade, but its not too bad. Funny guy too! I would not miss his class becuase you always take important notes that will be on the test.

I got my entry level certificate marketing certificate by taking ALL 3 courses required from him, very knowledgable in his field. I earned the cert. in 2006 and I still use some of the principles I learned in his classes!

Prof. Morgan is very helpful. I enjoyed his class so much, I will be taking his 110 class next semester. Relies HEAVILY on lectures for the exam. Quizzes are essay form. Can be a bit tough if you don't study the lecture notes. He makes you think [outside] the box, so the book is not needed. If you are SERIOUS about Marketing, take his class!

great class! you must attend to do well on tests, take DETAILED notes and study. 3 100 pt test ( lowest dropped) 100 pt final ( non-cumalitve) and one group project worth 200 points! he knows a lot and is willing to each you! he himself is great for networking and personal FREE time to help you with your business if you have one

Professional, highly ethical. If you didnt realize yet, at some point, you sell your ideas and knowledge every day. Even if you are not going to be a sales manager, his class is mandatory. Besides excellent lectures about sales, his comments about Attitude to life, Interpersonal communication, Time management are life-changing.

Morgan is a very knowledgeable professor. But in all honesty, his teaching style is not compatible with how I learn. He talks very fast with no power-point presentations. He creates his own phrases for you to memorize. The written test supposedly boast free-thinking, but in reality Morgan is looking for very specific phrases that he made up.

Every class is lecture based and you'll be grateful for it. There isn't a single person in a class of 70 that isn't inspired by what he teaches. He is extremely informative of his industry and makes all of the topics interesting. His 3-4 exams can be hard if you don't take good notes. Tells you what to study. No homework just pay attention in class

I walked into this class not expecting professor Morgan to be as inspirational as he was. He lectures truly from the heart & has a passion to motivate students. Dennis is a gem. Hes so nice and caring and makes a lot of jokes during lecture so it isnt boring. He teaches youll actually use which I really appreciate and doesnt really go off of the textbook since he teaches what he thinks works since hes in the field. Super cool teacher, would take again :)

TAKE HIM FOR MARKETING AND SALES!! He is the best teacher I think I have had in my whole academic experience. You will be moved by his lectures and your outlook on life will be changed. He teaches you so much about Marketing and Sales in the most effective way possible. Once you take one of his classes, you will want to take all of them!

I have never felt the need to come on and write a review, but Dennis Morgan is by far the best teacher I have ever had so I will for him. I walked away from his lectures and his class feeling like a completely changed person. Take him (if there is space) you wont regret it!!!!! It is hard to stress this with only 350 character but he is the best.

Professor Morgan is easily one of my favorite professors at OCC. Truly motivating, lectures can be heavy some days, but he definitely keeps it entertaining by cracking jokes here and there. No weekly homework, one group project and exams.

An Amazing Professor I am sure he has never got anybody to regret taking his class this semester will be one of the best he was my only Professor for both of my selling and marketing teaches you about everything no homework one final project and an exam every two to three weeks a lot of extra credit I will never forget him as a Professor

If you're like me, I also fell into the trap of listening to all the great reviews! So considering how well people are marketing the class in the reviews, I'd say he taught marketing well. took his class during covid where everything was online. doesn't read off slides, all lecture, no hw, quizzes open notes. He's passionate&gives practical advice.

Professor Morgan is amazing. He makes it easy to learn and makes you laugh while doing it. What a great experience. I plan on taking all 3 of his classes.

Dennis goes above and beyond for his students! Attend to all his lectures, write notes, and ask him any questions you might have on the topic. Before quizzes he always has you prepare the week before it, and would let you know what to study for. I'm going to miss him. "Remember, you'll always be my student, even outside of this classroom." TEARS!

Professor Morgan is a fantastic instructor. He makes learning fun and engaging. Attend class, take notes, and use resources like unstuckstudy - you'll excel in this class. Highly recommend!

Funny, smart, helpful, and very caring. If you are ever struggling, he is first in line to help you help. I was told that he will also help you out if you need to leave a mean professor. Couldn't recommend him enough.

Morgan my fav professor besides Cazier. Very knowledge/Amazing personality/Genuinely cares, goes above & beyond for ALL his students. No txtbook/hw. Just lectures, 4 tests, 1 group project for all 3 of his courses. You DONT wanna miss his lectures. Also has lectures dedicated to YOU, like how to be creative, deal w/ rejections & attitude. Professor Dennis Morgan is THE BEST PROFESSOR. He's funny, witty, and passionate about his subject. He makes you WANT to learn it. There are three exams (you can drop one if you're satisfied), group project, & a final. The final is NOT cumulative. Take his class next semester while he's still offering it before he retires! DONT MISS OUT!

Morgan has to be the best teacher at OCC. I have taken him for all three classes and you'll learn a lot. Few teachers match his level of knowledge, caring and professionalism. He's retiring and I'm sad to see him leave. He's one of the guys who truly loves what he does and you can feel it. He almost comes off like he's your dad.

Im sad that this is the last semester he teaches at OCC. Prof Morgan was truly an inspiration to my life. All of his classes were more than just knowledge about marketing.
