Before taking this course I thought what another course required by St. Francis! My major is PT and I thought this was a waste of my time. Brother Snyder made this class interesting and enjoyable. He is a whiz with the lessons and activities. His handwriting is beautiful and he told us all...thank an ssj whatever that is? I will take him again!

Now you can tell this brother is a teacher. His approach to teaching is very different and highly interactive with class participation. A few papers but he corrects your writing and english but looks for content and research. You can tell he taught english and is a wiz with language. Take him again, for sure!

This guy had a prayer at every class. I thought well this bro would be easy but I gots a D. He reads every words on the paper and then he uses green ink to mark the papers. Two much on english grade on papers. He is still a nice guy but I thought he would give me a broke. I like his accent reel class.

Bro D is a great proff. Gives review sheets in class and then goes over each question. This makes for a great study guide. He has classroom experience for many years in the inner city schools: Philadelphia and Trenton. Our mid term is an oral exam. Loves to give up to date articles in edu. He is a master of creativity. Take him again for sure.

bro d gave a great mid term oral exam. we meet in café guibbo and had a discussion about styles of communication. the dude even bought me a smoothie. papers are not hard but he does correct your mistakes and even finds hidden mistakes, he is a fair prof and respects individual opinions.

I just love this class. No B.S.! Interesting and realistic discussions in class. Midterm and final exams are oral. The midterm exam was not bad and bro acts like a coach. did good on the mid term and he gives you an extensive study guide. he is kind of radical with his philosophy on education. very progressive with the methods teachers should use in the classroom. my cousin had him in high school (Levittown PA) and at that time he was as tough as nails in the classroom. yeah, he is cool.

Prof Brother D is super organized and topics are very clear. He is into power points and will post them on black board for you. He has a relax style in the classroom and enjoys telling stories about his classroom experiences. in the inner city schools. He's cool and I would take his class again. Called me on the phone to see how I was feeling.

He enjoys hearing what the students have to say and likes discussions in class. He has a great deal of experience in the classroom which lends to his practical ideas for teaching. Easiest class ever

Just received my midterm grade after taking my oral midterm exam. The midterm was just like the prof stated in class with a study guide. No surprises on this exam. I have a good grade going into the last part of the semester. Prof Snyder is a realistic teacher with realistic goals for his students. I hope to take a class with him again at SFU.

I did well on my mid term oral exam. Enjoy the class because the prof is relaxed and always prepared. I would like to take another class with brother dennis. Good prof and I would take him again in another course. He has a relax style in class which makes the move on. He is not big on giving tests but expects you to participate in the class. He has a great deal of knowledge about communications which the course is about. No big deal preparing for the final because he is very helpful if try.

He is hilarious with his stories and he is a fantastic story teller. No tests but he does give papers and an oral exam which is not bad at all. He treats us like teachers.

I just finished my education course with brother dennis. The course included working with children who had autism. Brother gave us excellent ideas for working with the children. I felt at ease doing the lesson activities which brother supervised. I could see patience and care brother had for these children. He is a genuine teacher at heart!

Br D is a good teacher. I just had my first quiz and I got an A+. He covers all the questions in class and he puts them on a study guide. He is the first teacher that I think really cares about the students. I want to take his class again.

Brother Denis is realistic with his class lectures. He does everything with powerpoint. Every chapter we read he has a powerpoint even with the handouts for extra reading. Great realistic teacher - why? Today in class we had a Halloween party. He had Halloween cup cakes, apple cider, pretzels, and bags full of candy bars. He also had Halloween music. He said to us, when you are out in the field with your own classroom, this is what you do as teachers for your students. That's real. He is an excellent role model.

In high school lit class we had to read Good Bye Mr. Chips by James Hilton. Brother Denis is just like this character in the book - Mr. Chips. I realized this when the bro sat with me for an hour going over my paper and treating me to coffee and friendship. I will never forget bro d.

When he returns an assignment there is a grade with a sticker and a positive remark. Valentine, St. Pat, Easter all were celebrated with something special. Take his class again for sure.

Brother Dennis is a great prof. There is a balance with his class with power points, reading, group discussion and projects. I like his oral exams which are not stressful at all. Bro D is a great teaching and I am taking another course EDU212 with him this spring semester. First time a teacher ever offered me coffee and discussed my grade. I was going through a rough time and he listened to me and gave me 2 extensions for my papers. He is a real bro.

Just did my midterm exam with an A. No hassle with the interview for the midterm. I actually enjoyed talking with bro d and I found out I knew more than I thought. Very helpful and he cares. Had a good class with brother and I did learn things about the way we communicate. He is tough on marking papers but he made me do the stuff over and I got an A. This class was required because I am an ed. major. It became clear to me that I would like to be a teacher like Bro. D. Both my parents are teachers and when I told them about Bro and the class they said he is a model teacher. My classmates agreed bro is not idealistic but realistic when it centers on teaching. I had fun in this class and I wanted to go to class. Never missed a class because it was fun. We all got a new word each class to learn. My favorite is Haberdashery. When I used this word at home my grandparents could not believe I could use this word in a sentence. Two new words every week and it did help my expression. He took an interest in me.

Linguistic Diversity and CORE 113, I had these two classes with Bro. D. He is absolutely one of the best teachers at Francis. No matter your major, you will love this guy. He is funny and informative. Plus there is no textbook or exams. Just small and very easy papers with a presentation. If you succeed he succeeds. Definitely recommend taking!!!!

Great class! He would always tell us that being a teacher is a lofty profession. Now I know what he was telling us all semester. Nicest teacher I ever had and he is a brother that does not judge others.

Bro D is the man! His classes are always engaging and fun. He genuinely cares about helping students succeed. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for prepping for the final.

Bro has been around a long time in the classroom. He gets to know the students and works with them. The class was 27 but I felt he work with me to succeed. He made me memorize Maya Angelou's quote, "People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” Thanks bro d!

This class was fun while learning. Two books were required and we did use the books regularly. Brother gave examples and real life stories dealing with diversity. His class was like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day. Treats on Thursday!

At first I did not think this would be an interesting class, but I was wrong. Br Snyder made the class interesting and inviting. I enjoyed this class immensely especially his teaching experience stories. He was able to have the class do real-life classroom situations. I will always remember Br Snyder. He is a true teacher.

Four essay assignments. The modules are required but they are easy to complete just very annoying. Same with the library seminars, don't miss them or you might have to go to the library or do more modules. If you have some complications going to one of his classes let him know there may be the same class as your earlier or later in the day.

This was a good class with bro d. The class had plenty of readings and the power points cover almost everything we need to know. Final is a heritage presentation and I discovered much about my family. Bro d would often tell us to remember By your students you will learn. Pizza party and meatballs made the last day fun. Thank you Bro you are great!

This is the second class I had with Brother. Lectures are from PowerPoints. He had 3 good guest speakers. He varies activities and covers much materials in the class. His classroom experience stories are awesome! He makes learning fun and no stress over grades. My highest complement is to teach like Brother. Thank you my teacher Br Dennis.

This class was required for my major. Brother Dennis made the class a fun learning place. I would take another class if he was teaching a different course. Thank you Brother for the pizza party and treats on Thursday.

This course was super fun and enjoyable. I loved how Professor Dennis focused on content that was interesting to us. Professor Dennis brought a lot of information to class, graded in a timely manner and made himself available with office hours and one-on-one meeting at the Café. No stress in class but a place for learning.
