funny guy
great teacher
Bad, very Bad

Funny guy, very helpful, wants his students to succeed (they usually do). Lectures can be overwhelming at first, but you get used to it. Tests easy.
Everything I learned in this class, I taught myself. He needs to get rid of the computer and just teach the material.
Great professor! You get a page of notes on each exam, the problem sets are mult choice, and he doesn't pick-up the hw. The only problem is that he doesn't explain the sections that well, so you need to read them yourself and take notes.
Doesn't speak loudly, needs to get rid of the Maple software.
My absolute favorite teacher at Clark! I took Math 095, 111, and 113 from him. He's great.
Watson is the most talented math professor at Clark. He is tolerant to kids that need extra help with math. He will change your mind about math if you don't like it going in. You will love coming out.
I love Watson! He is such an awesome teacher, if you miss class he doesn't murder you over it, and will listen to the class. I will be taking him for 109 in fall. I hate math, but I love his class.
A very good professor! Only need to show up for the tests. Funny guy and easy to get a long with.
teacher would not answer questions at the end of class. i had a question and he told me to go to the tutor center...
Once again Watson comes through! I love how half the class is spent cracking jokes, yet somehow we still learn everything. Great Guy, wish I could take him again in another subject.
He is great at explaining the material and answering questions in detail. Made it fun to learn matrices and how they work. Enjoyed his class, was always fun. Definitely recommend him for any math classes he teaches.
What a great teacher! Undestood that some of us doesn't love math. Wise, patient, helpful, and funny. He doesn't trick you during tests and gives you a clear idea what to expect from the class.
funny and sexy
Thought I wasn't going to like him, but got used to his style. He is a good teacher. He makes it possible to do well, you just have to get to class and do the work. He is kind of goofy, but it kind of helps keep things light when the going gets hard.
He lets you have 1 page of notes for every test and for our class he dropped the final just because he felt like it. He also drops your lowest test grade. He does give out review homework too. He's hilarious and nice, a really good professor in all!
Very easy, but bad teacher. He rarely explained concepts, instead merely did a sample problem or two. Besides his handwriting being almost illegible, and writing over half erased materials, he often commits greivous errors in the problem, which causes a very large amount of confusion.
A leukemia ridden circuis monkey could have passed this class, wihtout studying, Watson Rocks
Great teacher! I have had him for almost a year now, and wouldn't have any other teacher for a math class. He is extremely patient and very-very-helpful!
Always late to class, then he just walked in and stared at us. He didn't teach, only did practice problems, and always had the wrong answer!!!! His class was very easy which was good, but if you are looking to learn, don't take his class!!!
Watson is so hilarious but a great teacher. He is late most of the time yet he makes up for it by giving everyone full credit on our assignments. I recommend him to anyone who likes having fun while learning.
Excellent instructor! Makes learning fun. It is my one and only class where I can go study and have fun at the same time! He is VERY FAIR on test grading. Take him, and you will see for yourself.
Interesting. If you really like Math, this is probably not the class to take...it is more like an English Class but if you are completely maxed in other classes, this is a nice breather. Easy-going and unique teacher. Can say I've never quite had an experience like this.
I don't know which part of this class makes it "like an English class", but the teacher is fairly easy in compare with other math teachers. I've taken many other math class at Clark, and I would rather take Watson than anyone else. Test are not multiple choice, you'll earn a lot of partial credit.
Dr. Watson is the nicest of any Math professor at Clark. He is very smart but his tests are fair and clear! Try this class and you'll be happy!
This man is just an angel! The material goes from being easy to sometimes just being hard to get it...for me anyway. I love this guy. As far as I'm concerned,...Wastson, G. Grey, K. Schrivener and K. Perillo are the Mod Squad (oops, I'm showing my age!) of this school. Real people with real hearts and real spirits...Love them all.
I was going into this class worried that it would be difficult, since it was above 101. However, this class is so easy that I only go for the first two days of the new chapter and on test days. He is bad with answers. The only dissapointment were the other people in the class. 40 yrld annoying ignorant woman make this class horrible.

needs to teach slower
He has a very different style of teaching, but is very fun. His class is somewhat easy, but you really need to study for the tests. I would suggest him for a teacher, but if you take his class don't get in the way of the "chair," don't put your drinks on the edge of the table if you sit in the front, and speak up in class.
Nice guy. Bound to ridicule you at some point. Cracks lots of lame jokes that on occasion are funny. His class moved way to fast for all of the students (spare the math nerds of course). I would try to avoid him.
Incredibly nice and fun teacher. He really loves math and tries to make it fun for everyone. He does teach a little fast, but really helpful and clear. I enjoyed him a lot.
Great instructor, attentive to class needs and questions, and made math fun, which is saying something! The way he words things and explains things are at a fast pace but if you are a audible learner, and visual learner, he's awesome. Also, teaches normally up above the Finite mathematics level.
Great Professor, extremely helpful to willing students. Does go fast.
Dreadfully boring! Reads from the textbook without translating into laymans terms, then spends the rest of the time doing even problems from the book. Do you have any idea how dull it is to watch someone do math for an hour? Also, spends alot of time making errors and trying to figure out where he went wrong. You pretty much have to teach yourself.
Very nice teacher and willing to help you. You have to ask questions and pay attention or you will be teaching yourself how to do the work. Do not take his class if you struggle in math, find another teacher if you dont learn math quickly.
Really fun teacher. Can be weird at times. Sometimes can be boring when he all he does is go over even problems in the book. Pretty easy to understand and ended up being an easy class.
Watson...Watson...Watson...! What a funny guy! Gives some a hard time for not being in class (that would be me) and others get ignored, but hey, he is just joking around! He is a great guy, the class is easy! Take Watson if you are required to take 105, not sure you will learn as much with Watson as you would with other teachers, but it is fun!
I just had to give Watson a rating because he is GREAT. I had him for multiple classes, and while it is true that you can get a B without doing any work if you are good at math, you can also get an A and fully understand the material it just depends on what you are willing to put into the class. He is funny and wants all to succeed I will miss him!
Watson is a great guy but did not do a good job at explaining Calculus. Maybe it was because I had never had any Calculus before, but I did not understand it. He spent more time teaching us Maple than explaining the concepts. Great guy... just not for your first time around in Calculus.
He just does the problems on the board but never explains why or how he got to where he got in a problem. Extremely frustrating for me and entire class. You know there's a problem when the class average for every test was an F.(I'm NOT kiding!) Fortunately,I'm pretty good at math and the text taught me the entire course.NOT recommended!
Watson was good instructor. He required us to use Maple in some of the assignments (their marketing dept. shoud pay him). I often found myself entertained in the class - not the purpose but it makes learning a lot more fun. Homework was optional (still did it) and tests were open note. Overall, Watson was a fun teacher to learn from.
Sweet old guy, not that greaet of a teacher. Just like any other math class at Clark, not at all interesting or helpful. Bombed the tests even when I put numerous hours into the homework and studying. By the end of the course, there were probably 8 people out of the 30 that registered. Wouldn't recomend it.

EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watson is a very easy teacher, gives out notes, but he is hard to understand, almost impossible to understand his handwriteing, but is a very easy A.
Watson is the best, if you dont understand He will help you one on one. A very nice guy! He understands its hard to remember everything and allows notes on the tests & He dosent try to trip you up on test. He seems to actually care if his students understand and pass his class. I wish he was teaching every math class i need to take!!!
What math needs most is a teacher that makes class fun. Watson EXCELS at this. He's funny and friendly... and he allows notes on tests! On the downside, he has a tendency to move way too fast, so you might have difficulty keeping up. His tests are relatively easy, though, and he's very lenient and willing to help you succeed.
Very cool instructor. Class had high average and he went over problems in creative ways to help explain when a student expressed a question. Good guy and a good easy A. if you need to take 105 for your degree and then expect to never need math again, take it with Watson, you'll have fun and learn all your basics without a fuss.
Way easy teacher. I've gotten an A on all of the tests, along with most of the class. His notes are online if you miss a class, along with the calender so you'll always be caught up. He randomly takes attendance for credit, so it's your choice of whether or not you're there. Tests on each section once you're done. Easy going though!!
Well lets just say that in the beginning of the quarter I was dreading this course. I could not have picked a better teacher to have. Very easy going teacher so you can actually relax and learn. Two thumbs UP!!
easy A. lectures suck
I'll second that comment about it being an easy A and having sucky lectures, but he's a sweet guy with a completely dorko sense of humor. If you like goofy jokes, you'll have fun in his class. He's willing to help you in ANY way possible to succeed in this class, and knows a TON about the calculators that are used, so if you don't - he can help. :)
I loved him! He was so goofy and entertaining. I found myself laughing at his corny jokes daily. This class was extremely easy and I really don't know when I will use a lot of what we learned but it was still fun! He wants everyone to pass with an A, in fact it would be pretty hard not to.
He is the dorkiest funniest teacher I have ever had! Its an easy A, but the lectures kind of suck...he goes fast. I would take him again in a heartbeat. Oh plus, the way he tests, you can not fail!
The best math teacher i have ever taken!! Easy A!! if you you like joks, take him. His test are really easy. you can have two pages of notes. He gives examples of problem sets that you can practice, and when you take the test he just changes the numbers around.. Take this teacher
I think he is a pretty cool teacher. He focus on giving the math idea rather than some details. His grade is also reasonable. I enjoy this class.
Watson is a great teacher. He has a great sense of humor which helps when learning something you might not be into. He goes over every chapter and answer ?s whenever you need more clarifying. He's a great professor!!
Great Guy and teacher. You will learn much from this man. I knew him many years ago and am glad to see him still around.
he's a funny guy :) he drops your lowest score on the exams and posts all class discussions and examples on his website. very helpful!
Mr. Watson ROCKS! He makes things so clear and he has a great sense of humor. I actually left his class liking math.
Lets you correct your tests, rarely collects homework, funny, and answers all questions untill you get it. Good teacher overall.
Mr. Watson is sometimes a bit hard to follow, but I found that if I read the book I can usually stay on top of what he teaches. Slow-paced class, makes a point of important concepts. He keeps things moving though, so ask questions if you don't understand! He's rather witty, which I enjoyed.
he is an awesome teacher. very funny and nice. it is a good class for students who do not like math.
Mr. Watson is an amazing teacher! He is very understanding and helpful. He loves to make funny faces at his students, to make you laugh! Very nice class, and very relaxed.
I really enjoy him as a teacher. Great class...Take him
Watson is the most lovable man in the world. Some of the concepts are difficult and the lectures are boring. But he makes great jokes and makes faces at you so it's worth it.
Okay, I have to say it, Mr. Watson is THE BEST math teacher ever. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He's hilarious and is excellent at explaining concepts. His tests aren't hard, and he always reviews beforehand. Also, he lets you have a whole page of notes per test! I have nothing negative to say about him. GREAT TEACHER! :)
Great teacher. If you need finite math, take Mr. Watson, he takes every opprotunity to help studens. Keeps it simple and allows notes on tests.
He is a great math teacher! He is very willing to help and explains everything pretty clearly. He also is very approachable and kind. I loved this class.
Love this teacher! he will listen with respect, and he's a blast when it comes to humor, if your scared of math you will overcome your fears with him. !BIG THUMBS UP!
Extremely confusing. He needs to slow down, answer questions in different view points, learn penmanship, and fix his equations. You are better off teaching yourself. Uses a program that doesn't always work, which can be frustrating.
Had Watson for 4 math classes at he is my favorite professor at Clark!!! Super funny, and extremely passionate about making sure students understand the material. All he asks is that you refrain from talking in class, and show some interest. Have never understood math as well as I do now. Math rocks ha ha
I'd already taken a BA in English/Art & an Assc Degree in Radiography, was back n school for the THIRD time, and Watson is THE BEST math teacher I have EVER had. I've never been good at math--I'm more of an artistic type, not a rational/linear thinker--but he lays it out so well that it just all makes perfect sense. He's GREAT! =D BEST EVER!
Mr. Watson is the best of the best. He make his class fun and easy he explain really good he is one of by best professor. He knows what he is doing and he is very helpful.
He was a very good teacher loved having a pot luck for a final.
This man is EXCELLENT! Very patient and very willing to explain it as many times and in as many ways as it takes. I only have one complaint... Professor Watson does not teach all of the math classes at Clark!
He has our homework done online which would be great if he knew how to use the system. He is a very sweet old man, but is difficult to understand sometimes. Most people show up for the reviews and tests. If you can do the work at home, I encourage it.
He is a really nice and fun teacher. He helped everyone whenever they had a question. He let us use lots of notes on the tests.
I don't like math. I'm taking it because it's required for my degree. Watson sometime doesn't explain it well but if you ask him he will help you. If you need to take Business Calculus I take it with Watson!!! He is GREAT!!!
At first I didn't like Mr. Watson. He dives right in and doesn't explain things unless you ask. BUT he is extremely generous when it comes to test notes, homework and grading. He will work the same problem over and over until you understand the process you JUST HAVE TO ASK. Overall awesome funny guy and I highly recommend him.
The test are basically the same as the study guide. & you can use notes on the test! A really great teacher. I was super nervous about taking the class because i was afraid it would be really hard. I ended up getting an A! I would recommend him to anyone!
Dude is an awesome teacher. He made everything very simple and broke it down on the notes. I wish that he was still teaching Math 093 next quarter. Best of luck to you and hopefully see you around campus dude!
Great teacher. Gives a relaxed atmosphere for learning and comprehension. His notes aren't written so clearly, but are always readily available for your convenience. The last instructor to allow notes on exams. This was an asset to me.
Great teacher. I think you would really have to screw off to do bad in this class. I highly recommend the Math Gal youtube videos he posts (I stopped going to class and just watched those instead). He caters his class so that you have every opportunity to get a good grade. Definitely take Watson!
Would recommend this class to anyone who does not intend on taking any more college level math. Very informative and interesting, sometimes I forget I'm even in a math class! He wants every single student )who actually shows up to class) to pass/ Plain and simple-wonderful professor, wonderful man.
RAD dude! Loves his students.
Watson is not a terrible instructor but his teaching has some serious flaws. I do not know why anyone shows up for class, I got nothing from his lectures. Also, his WAMAP homework system is messed up because the answer keys are always wrong. A good portion of the time, when you input the correct answer, it will mark you as wrong.
Best professor ever. :)
He's an awesome teacher. The WAMAP doesn't always work perfectly but it works by the time it's due, which is why I would wait to start it. This is the type of teacher that you can actually learn a lot from.
He is a great teacher. Before i took his class I had no interest in math, it was hard and confusing, but he made it click. He is clear in is lectures and you can ask as many questions as you need. He is also funny, and makes you laugh. You do not dread coming to his class.
Super Fun!
Amazing guy. Like I mean it! Not only because we just liked each other from first sight but he's just awesome. I got nothing. Easy A too.
watson is great he brings his personality to the class gotta love him
Extremely easy class! Math 107 is a kind of weird subject matter and Mr. Watson knows it.. I think that's why he makes his tests so easy! Only five tests and he drops the lowest score-plus the final is a POTLUCK! If you don't like math or are looking for the easiest A of your life this is the class for you!
Watson is awesome! i love that the HW is online & the website is easy to use & you can have unlimited attempts to get the right answer! also he will do the hw Qs in class if you are having trouble also ALL the notes are online so you dont really have to come to class & you would still get an A, except for tests! all tests & final unlimited notes.
Teacher became harder, no notes on tests, wastes time on doing homework from the book in class, online homework (a lot more than a relative did). He is now just like any other teacher. He also graded horribly, my friend got a F on the first test, he went up to watson and showed him that he was correct on multiple questions, he changed it to a b+
PLEASE READ THIS FIRST. Watson has changed the way how his class works. The "easy" class no longer exists. Tests are harder, homework is longer. He did not let us use notes on any tests except the last test and the final after over half the class failed. Tests are pretty long and hard. Wamap takes forever. I heard he was an easy teacher, but changed
I took him for 111, it's a challenging class buttttt he really cares about his students, very sarcastic, FUNNY and he wants everyone to pass. He'll drop 1 test, 5 assignments. All his work is on wamap so you WILL get 100% on the homework. You don't need your book unless you want to learn. And all his lectures get on wamap, so no need for attendance
I loved Mr. Watson, He was amazing. I had taken the same math before and failed. He made things much more simple. All his test were exactly what he told us they would be. I really reccomend him if you have a hard time in math like I do!!! I ended the class with an A. He tries to make the class laugh and its awesome.
Mr. Watson is a poor professor. He is tenured and doesn't really care about the students. The class is hard already without his lack of concern... No notes were allowed, over 1/2 of the class failed the first test... All he does is repeat homework questions in class and does not clearly describe things... DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!
I loved this teacher! Seriously I actually enjoyed going to class and I learned alot! He makes math easy to understand! Definitly taking him again for Business Calculus!
He is really funny guy, and nice guy. His class is kind of easy, basically you just have to do your homework. He even lets you use notes for the test/quiz. He also drop your lowest grade. Its your choice to take or not take final. His lecture is really clear and easy to understand. I didnt need to use my text book. I recommand to take his class!
This teacher is amazing! He's really good at explaining difficult problems. you have only four tests and one final, they're all really easy and he drops the lowest score, btw he lets you use notes on all test. Homework assignments are due every two weeks. He gives you a lot of time to finish it. Don't slack off. I would recommend this class. Easy A
I JUST LOVE TAKING CLASSES WITH PROFESSOR WATSON HE IS A GREAT TEACHER AND VERY ENTERTAINING. HE WILL GLADLY GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO ASSIST THOSE THAT ARE STRUGGLING.
Math 107 was the easiest A in my life! Attendance is not required so I only came to class for the exams. The homework is online which makes it really easy to get 100% on.the exams are open notes and textbook so getting less than an A on the exams is really hard. His lectures are hard to follow so dont even bother, go to the tutoring center for help
Great guy, good teacher. Good for him on his soon to come retirement. His type will be missed. When material is made fun I think its easier to learn it. He made it fun, not easier, just fun, which made it easier. Calc. is Calc. so I had to study my booty off. Took me a while to warm up to Wamap, hated it at first, still kinda do haha...Cheers Mr.W.
Mr. Watson is the best teacher I ever had so far. Not only he graded 25% on homework on WAMAP, but he also gave a few extra credits for those who didn't do well in the first test. On the test, he allowed us to use 1 page of note and calculator. and on Finals, he let us to have 4 pages of notes and calculator. Sweet! I applaude to MR. W.
Dennis is by far, one of my most favorite teachers. He is a fair grader, provides extra credit opportunities, exams allows notes on & genuinely tries to make the class enjoyable. He is also more than willing to put in extra time, if needed, to help his students grasp difficult concepts. He cares about student success, and is truly one of the best.
Dennis is a great and easy professor. He is a really easy grader, and the HW is on Wamap so you can reattempt the HW as many times as you want. During lectures he sits behind a computer screen and draws on the screen and then projects the computer screen so we could see it. overall just do the the HW read the chapter and you will do fine.
Bus. Calc. is a tough class but Dennis was funny and kept the class interested. He curves tests A LOT so that every one has the opportunity to get an A. He is an older guy, and a little slow, but he makes up for it in humor and class. Some people didn't like his lectures. (Again, he is dry which not everyone likes.) But they are really helpful.
Watson is a fun guy! Attendance is not mandatory at all. All the lecture notes he goes over in class are put up online so you really don't need to go. However, the rare times I did go to class I found him to be quite funny and an oddball (but in a good way). All exams are allowed 1 page (1 side) notes, while final exam is open notes. Hmwk online.
If you want to take a hard class but want a good grade, take it with Watson. Don't get me wrong, you're going to have to put in the work. BUT HE'S SO NICE!!!!!!!
This was a great teacher! he allowed notes for tests, and gave ample time to finish homework online. I wish he was teaching Business Calc next quarter so I could have him again.
This class was tough, but Watson taught it in a way that you will be able to understand the material. We were allowed to have 2 cheat sheets per test, and a partner. The final is comprehensive, but he tells you what will be on it during review day. Also his lecture notes are online so attendance isn't mandatory. He drops your lowest test score.
He posts all the lectures online and he allows you to drop your lowest test score. Would recommend to anyone.
A bit disappointed... lectures are very dry and tough to follow, and tests are challenging.. although you are allowed 1 page of notes. Be prepared to do some independent studying!
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER! He assigns homework on WAMAP and I really liked that because he chooses the questions. He provides study guides so STUDY THE STUDY GUIDE. He also lets you have notes the longer the exam the more pages of notes you can have on the exam.
Dennis was a great teacher and it was clear he really cared about seeing his students succeed. He is funny and kind hearted and is very much willing to help students who ask for it. Homework was all online and tests were open booknotes. I really enjoyed this class.
One of my favorite professors! This class was a struggle for me. I would not have made it through if he wasn't so willing to put aside extra time to help his students succeed. I wish there were more professors like him. If you're struggling, let him know. He'll do his best to make sure you make it through.
Being a fast-paced course, college algebra is on the difficult side all the way through. Prof. Watson is always willing to explain questions from the book, WAMAP, and study guides as needed. He works a lot of humor into his lectures, which keeps them engaging. Everything gets posted online for reference and study. Notes & test drops make it easier.
