Moss's class is hard because you do alot of work, however, you will find the class really rewarding. Moss is a great teacher and I highly recommend him. If you try hard and complete all work he gives you a very fair grade. I recieved an A.

This is a remedial course, yet Denny treats his students as if they are in a freshman (in high school) level course. He does give a lot of busy work and it's pointless. He gives a grade and a bunch of marks about incorrect punctuation on essays; no comments. He is a very nice man with a kind heart, but he does not ask for college level work.

He gives quite a bit of homework, but NEVER GIVES TESTS. He asks you to write A LOT OF ESSAYS, but he is a easy grader. He keeps me interested in the class. He gives reading quizzes that are on small details in the book and not the main ideas. He is a very relaxed teacher and doesnt expect too much from you. ATTEND CLASS AND DO HW/ESSAYS = PASS :)

Denny is one of the best professors I've had at SSU. He has such a great passion for teaching. I highly recommend him as an English teacher. I had him for ENG 100A and 100B, and I'm glad I had him as my professor. I learned so much from him and I know you will too. He does give a lot of HW, but it's manageable. TAKE DENNY!!! :)

This class is super easy but pretty boring. Teacher is super sentimental so when writing essays just appeal to his emotions and u get a good grade. He is not always clear on what he wants in your course work and always adds things. Essays are interesting topics but other course work is repetitive and boring.

I came back to SSU to sharpen my mind and this class did that. Some of the students seemed to want to just get by, but it was fun engaging with the others and Dr. Bozeman -Moss encouraged that. He brought in interesting films and books and taught critical thinking, what I was missing from my college experience before. He was very encouraging.

He takes attendance as well as gives participation points when you answer questions or join into class discussions.Just go to class and be there.

He grew on me as the semester progressed, but this class is lightweight. Expect little work, except for a couple quick news article write-ups a week (ten minutes of work at most) and participation in class. It's mostly discussion-oriented, so not hard, but it can boring as hell. Good complement for high workload in your other classes, though.

It was easy tho.

Denny is a very encouraging professor who teaches Critical Thinking in a fun and unorthodox way. The class is very big on mindfulness so be prepared to meditate and write a ton. Do not take this class if you can't do 20 hours of volunteering in 10 weeks, because the final projects are completely based on that and you will not pass (take it from me)
