Great teacher, funny, helpful, good examples with real life situations!

Denny is terrific! He is very clear on what you can achieve in his Lab if you try. But, be pre-warned that Biology is NOT a easy subject to get a high grade in. A lot of study for Bio 239, and I recommend taking only this class for the semester if your not good at science.

Mr. Patel is the best! He is funny, clear on what you need to learn, and always in a good mood. I wish more teachers would enjoy teaching as much as he does. Definitely take him if you want to learn and have fun. He also teaches you life situations which is really helpful, esp his lecture on caffeine and Red Bulls and Monster Energy Drinks!

Awesome teacher, very helpful and explains things thoroughly, best lab teacher @ sac. Practicums are fair, but you need to spend some time in the bio lab center, and open labs. Print out all the doc's on blackboard. OIN's are very very very hard. goodluck !!!

Excellent teacher. He is very helpful and intellegent. He tells you random facts that are super interesting and you can use in life. The quizes are beyond easy and theres a mass of extra credit. The field trip is retarded but super easy. Denny is highly reccomended!

Great teacher!! The class itself is pretty hard but if you study you should do okay. Extremely hard to get an A in the class. But Patel does as much as he can to help. Helps a lot for Lab quizzes. Interesting lectures, could tell he enjoys teaching. & he is always in a good mood.

Denny is the "total package": knowledgeable, helpful, funny, and handsome. Take him and you won't regret it (I got perfect grades on all my lab quizzes). I loved listening to his stories and practical experience at his clinic. Overall, it was a very enjoyable class, and I looked forward to every meeting.

This guy is cool. He is down to earth with the students. He gives good advice and will answer almost any question you got. He is really funny and jokes around. The labs are fun and he helps you a lot. He will use real life examples to explain his subject. DO NOT miss out on this teacher, he cares for his students and is extremely helpful! Patel FTW

Made Human Anatomy understandable. Gave real life examples. Kept class interesting. Learned a ton b/c of his teaching methods & down to earth style. He interacted w/ students & made the course easy to comprehend. He is also quite humorous. Best professor ever!

Great teacher. As long as you go to class you cannot fail. He gives you the answer to the quizzes, midterm and final. He also gives opportunity for extra credit. He made class very interesting as well, I learned quite a bit in his class and I hate bio!

Excellent Professor! The 3 hours in lab each week went by super fast. He made learning interesting and funny! I would totally recommend taking him as your LAB instructor. You will be glad you did. He truly seems to care about his students and goes WAY beyond what he needs to, to help you understand. I wish he taught other courses that I need.

This professor is amazing. He always makes class lectures fun and he goes over the quizes and tests so nobody can fail the class. Almost never absent but other than that, I truly reccomend you take this professor!

This guy is super cool. The class is easy only IF you study. He makes the material clear and tells you what to expect. He only quizzes you on material covered unlike other professors and that is why I feel this guy is awesome. Great personality, easy to understand, and tells you what he expects.

AMAZING teacher! Tries his hardest to allow everyone to understand the material. Always has relevant stories that help connect to the material being learned. He is very knowledgable about anatomy and at the same time can teach it very well. Lots of extra credit, and he makes sure to go over exactly what will be on the practicums!

Dr. Patel was awesome. He was the one professor I looked forward to. After my traumatizing experience with my Bio 109 professor, I expected the same but boy was I wrong. Take his class! You won't regret it. You actually understand him.

Wow Patel is golden. I took him for these past two semester, lab(fall 2014) and lecture ( spring 2014). He is beyond amazing, he really wants everyone to pass the class so he offers tons of extra credit. Biology isn't my favorite subject, but boy did Patel make it interesting. he gives out a lot of extra credit!!!!!! and the quizzes are easy, study the review section of the lab book and you will pass each quiz. always do the extra credit because it will help with your grade later!! EASY A. I passed with an A! EASY.

Easiest and most enjoyable class I've probably had. All of his tests are just compilations of past quizzes. If you decide to take his class, know that there will be lots of laughing going on because he's a real funny guy. Never miss a class session and use every extra credit opportunity he gives you. He puts all lectures on blackboard too!

Hands down, best bio teacher wish he taught more Bio classes. His work is very easy and he gives you a lot of extra credit, if you don't pass his class with an A or a B than you must be a real dumb ass

BEST TEACHER!! He is so funny and easy going. . His class teaches Biology but he also gives you advice on what's good for you and what's bad. Keep the quiz papers every time you take a quiz, the final will involve those exact questions and answers. He literally gives you the answers! It's people's own fault if they fail the class! I took Mr. Patel is super clear on what he expects. If you take advantage of all the extra credit (which is a lot) you're almost guaranteed an A. He is funny and made me look forward going to class. he doesn't require participation but he does give answers to quizzes that are not found on powerpoints. I never bought the book and we never needed it.

Honestly professor Patel is the goat of all biology he teaches you in the best fun way possible. He knew I hated bio in the beginning and now that I am done j kind of like it . He really deserves a raise because he is the best bio teacher ever. If you take him you will for sure pass just follow what he says. And gives extra credit for avocados.

It was a pleasure taking Biology this semester with Professor Patel because his lectures were amazing and super interesting. He's the most hilarious professor I've ever taken. As long as you show up to class and bring the printed notes, you'll do good in his class. He gives lots of extra credit to make up for quizzes and exams.

I 100% recommend him for Bio 109. Such a great lecturer and knows how to get college students engaged. Offers extra credit. Let's just say I was very upset that he wasn't teaching Bio 109L the semester I took it. He's the go to professor for bio. His classes get filled up fast so once you get your registration date. Dr. Patel is easily top 3 professors I've had (which has been many). He was one of those individuals who was able to turn a late night 3 hour class (with a dry subject such as anatomy) into a fun experience. He seriously gives you every opportunity to get an A, so take him if you can! Dr. Patel is also very down to earth and hilarious!

Dr, Patel is a great professor he knows the material and makes it easy to understand, even though Human Anatomy is really hard a lot of memorization, so if you want to do well do not miss a class and study a least one hour every day. Dr. Patel cares for his student and gives a lot of extra credits just put attention in all he says.

Dr Patel genuinely cares for his students and gets to know you by name. His lectures, although long and jam packed with info, are great; he breaks up the 3 hour lecture with "fun facts" that are informative and entertaining. LOTS of extra credit offered but you must attend class to take advantage. If you need BIO239, take it w/Dr Patel!!!

Great class to take for anatomy! If you can, take him for both lab and lecture. He really cares about how much you learn and not just what you get on a test. He offers a lot of extra credit, but if you skip class you get behind very quickly. Not the easiest class because it's a lot of material, but will definitly prepare you for future bio classes.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He seems to really care about his students and puts in a ton of extra effort to make lectures interesting. Attendance is important as it counts toward the final grade and tardiness is his least favorite quality. Honestly though, 10/10 for Dr. Patel, I wish he would teach microbiology at CCC too.

Amazing Profesor . I took his class at night after a long day at work, his energy and teaching strategies kept me engaged and awake at every lecture. He is very clear with his assignments and what is expected of students. Gives extra credit opportunities for everyone and also makes himself accessible and responds to emails in a timely matter.

Dont waste your time looking for an anatomy professor! Pick him! You will not regret it. Papa Patel loves what he teaches and it shows! His material is broken down so good that its so easy to understand. As soon as he tells you what to study do it. Again he is an amazing professor. I have had 16 professors in my lifetime and he has been the best!

Papa Patel. He is an amazing professor. Helps you understand in different formats. (i.e. lecture, videos, etc.) Gives a lot of life lessons. Gives you many resources and opportunities to pass. Does not throw curveballs, very straightforward. I wish he taught other subjects, but Dr. Patel is amazing!

Incredible professor. Teaches like everyone should. Only issue is well, the content is A LOT. But this is to be expected if you're getting into anatomy. You definitely have to study and work to get a good grade, but more than enough is provided for you to do so.

I wish that Dr Patel was teaching more science sections, unfortunately not. Anatomy is a tough subject and there is a lot of information you need to study, but Dr Patel is there to help if you have questions. Do not expect an A without putting in the time. But if you put in the work, it will reflect in your grade. Good luck!

I just took Dr Patel and Mrs keychaunte for anatomy fall 2021 and they were both amazing professors ! They both genuinely cared about us and went out of their way to teach us things that will help us in our career outside of lecture . Pay attention to the slides and use the study guides they give you and you will do great in both their classes .

It's been 4 years that I took his Anatomy class, and I still remember the fun facts he shared in class! Lecture was very enjoyable thanks to Dr. Patel but you do have to study! Patel is a great person, is the kind of profesor who loves to teach. Anatomy is a very hard class so get ready to ready and study. There is no homework but you need to study a lot for quizzes and tests. I never have a joyful class like this before, great professor!!!

Dr. Patel is the BEST! His grading criteria is spot-on, he cares about his students, offers extra credit and really emphasizes on the material we need to know in order to succeed in his class and the real world. Do all the practice quizzes and study guides!! Make flash cards to memorize bones, and muscles.

Best Biology professor on campus!

Dr. Patel is a very caring professor. He memorized all of my classmates names and made us fell comfortable in his lab and lecture. He can explain everything and it seems easy. There is no homework but studying is a must towards the end of the semester the practicums and finals get a little more complicated just because there is more information.

Beyond amazing professor ! Dr. Patel provides ALL resources needed to be successful in his class. He provides clear study guides for exams/ quizzes. He is extremely hilarious makes class go by pretty quickly. Be sure to have a study time. His passion for teaching and care for students makes him stand out within the SAC faculty. Hands down the best Bio teacher at SAC. Lectures are fun & the professor adds a lot of colorful commentary. Covers everything needed for quizzes/exams and is very accessible during office hours. Absolute pleasure to talk to, and he tries to get to know his students. Take his class if you want to learn. Studying is a must.

Patel was truly an amazing professor. He is funny, engaging and really cares for his students. He will literally give you study guides and practice quizzes. Its an easy A if you put your part. I was going through something and not studying as I should but I still managed to pass due to his study guides and practice quizzes.

Awesome professor, take speak any higher about him, inspired me to do better. I was going through alot due to injury and he worked with me gave me time to take final. Left with a C+ only do to missing out on alot of assignments due to injury, but he was the one who motivated me to keep going.

One of the best professors I had! Had to retake anatomy due to taking it online the first time which grad schools don't accept, but he made it easy to understand. Does give a lot of extra credit throughout the semester. Not much work beside lab, but do all the study guides, and practice quizzes as they are helpful for in class quizzes.
