He is one of the most helpful professors you will find at BCC. He goes over EVERYTHING. Sometimes, I did get bored but he tries to make sure everyone understands what he's teaching. Try to be his friend and he will be great. His tests are really long though! But I would recommend him! I got an A in his class

He is a really really helpful teacher... He will go over anything that you are unclear about and will go out of his way to help you... Be prepared though, because if the class is scheduled till 9 that is when you will stay till... He does not let you out early...

He is a good teacher. He will go over anything you want if you ask him. Sometimes he gets nervous and speaks to fast or studder. He is very fair curving your grade. THe test can be difficult. So do the homework,take notes, and ask questions. you will do fine in his class.

I was nervous when I started this class, but the professor is great! He gives points for attendance and homework.He's really nice and one of the most patient teachers I've had within the math department. Professor Bharat is the bizzy bomb! I am not that good in math at all and I heard Statistic was no easy task. Not only does he make it easy to pass his class, he gives you every oppurtunity <homework, attendence, extra credit) but he is also very nice and fun. This professor is the absolute best math teacher I've ever had. He made statistics as easy as it could possibly be. He gives credit for attendence and homework, which really helps out if you are not good at math. My only regret is that he doesn't teach any other courses.

Prof. Bharath is a very good teacher. I personally hate math and he made everything as easy as possible. There's 3 test and a research paper and for the most part if you attend every class you won't be lost, otherwise you will fail. Homework is mandatory and helpful because the test are very long and similar to homework questions. I recommend him!

Absolutely a good teacher takes time out to help you, e gives mandatory homework, but it really helps with your grade, there are about 3-4 exams, and one 1 page paper about your self, you can do a power point if you like, but project is an easy "A" & also helps boost your grade. Professor Bharath is really helpful. I hate any kind of math but he makes it fun and he is always cracking jokes so that makes it better. I didn't think I would pass but hey I did and it was a B so I recommend that everyone takes him.

Prof Bharath makes STA 2023 as comprehensable as a professor can deliver the material. Do your homework assigned because you get credit for it, which is new to me for a math class.He is great explaing material that some professors can make confusing. Prof Bharath is your man for Statistics.

I liked this professor alot. He is very kind and he also is funny and interesting. My only complaints are that he does not give you a break during his class, which can be grueling. He also tried to combine 2 chapters into 1 class and test the very next week. I think he learned his lession on that one as many people failed. Overall, I recommend!!

I expected statistics to be the hardest class ever, but Dr. Bharath made it as easiest as possible because he knows that STAT is a very difficult course. He doesn't even use the complicated calculator. Because of what I heard about STAT, I never thought I would get an A. Attend class and do the quizzes and homeworks. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

No calculator!! All you learn about is mean, median, and mode. You have to memorize some equations and rules. Its nothing technical. Textbook only needed for appendix charts. Extremely dedicated professor who actually cares about your education. Goes over difficult topics slowly and works out examples until everyone is comfortable. Weekly take-home quizzes and three non-cumulative exams. Not the easiest course but he makes it interesting and digestible.

This class was a tough one. I pulled together and got a B though. I loathe math. Take Home Quizzes. Three test. Final is non cumulative. Group project was tedious but helped my overall grade. Tests relate to the quizzes. He lectures fast. "Carribbean Accent" but good clarity. If you have to take statistics this is the man!

Professor B is awesome. Sweet guy. Just print his power points and take notes on them and you will be fine. Go over the power points as much as possible on your free time and practice the examples on them. You only need the textbook for the tables. He's a great guy!

This teacher tries to help you pass with all the take home quizzes & group project so that's a plus. However the group project was a nightmare since some students in the group didn't do there part. Tests are pretty hard & are about 40-70 ques long, (MC). Try to do good at the beginning because it gets really hard towards the end of the semester.

I just graduated FAU with a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and just wanted to say Professor Bharath was by far the best teacher I had my college career. Very helpful. You will need statistics for the rest of your life, trust me. Broward College has a great asset.

Professor B makes statistics easy to understand. You get all powerpoints and quizzes before class. This class is definately hard but I am very happy that I picked Prof B after reading all the comments. He's the only professor you want to take for this class!! 10 take home quizzes, 3 exams and 1 group project.

Prof. Bharath was the only reason I passed this class. The quizzes, project and extra credit assignment helped greatly. This was my second attempt and I do not regret travelling from Miami to Coral Springs weekly just for this class. The grades are not handed to you however, you have to work for them but he makes it doable.

This professor saved me! This was the last class I needed to get my AA degree and transfer to Spelman. I thought I wouldn't make it, but this professor explained and explained. Professor Bharath is great! He gives formulas for all the tests, and your grade is made up of take home quizzes and tests. There is one big group project. This is my second time taking STA2023. Prof B makes STA such a breeze. Take home chapter quizzes act like homework. His lectures are crystal clear and are on d2l. the textbook is $10 if you buy it used online. The only down side is the group project. Best stat professor at BC! Easy A if you work for it. Excellent professor for STATS! Statistics is an intense class but as long as u practice the material through the whole semester and don't miss a class u will pass his class! He gives 3 different extra credits, 8 take home quizzes "YES TAKE HOME" no tests in class but midterm n finals! Use it quizzes to study for the midterm n finals n I guarantee u will pass! I'm horrible at math n I got an "A"!

Syllabus is clear and concise. Study the materials and do well on the take home quizzes and you'll have no problem on the midterm and final. Group Project was interesting, but it was group, always difficulty with scheduling. Multiple opportunities to get extra credit. He explains everything with great detail. Do Not Miss Class.

Great teacher but the midterm and final about 80% of your total grade. Stats is tough and the professor breaks things down great but if you're not a good test taker is doesn't even matter. Had the final and midterm not be such a huge portion of the class I'd recommend him but if you're not good in this subject then stay away.

It doesnt matter what you do in this class. If you dont pass the midterm in the final you automatically fail the class. Its approximately 80 percent of your grade so even with the extra credit you can easily fail. The take home quizzes dont make a dent in your grade. 15 people failed this semester so you figure it out.

The course is not easy, but if you do all the extra credits and do ok on the tests, you would pass the course.

Professor Bharath is a solid professor! He gives good lectures and make understanding a hard subject fairly easy. Each chapter you'll have to do a quiz. GO TO ASC AND THEY WILL HELP YOU!!! Find a study buddy in the class and you will pass! The midterm and final are not too hard. You will leave his class understanding stats.

I loved this class! That's saying a lot because math is not my friend. The hardest part of the class were all the formulas; he writes the formulas on the board for his exams. Professor Bharath is an excellent professor. His lectures are clear, and if you don't understand something, he is more than happy to explain it again. If you study and do the problems in the book (which are optional) you WILL pass. Like any class, really. Attendance is important because the lectures play a big part in understanding the material.

The class was fun to take. I learned a lot and the prof. has a clear, easy way of explaining everything. He's very thoughtful and does his very best to be accommodating. Small spoiler alert: you will be given a short survey on the first day or two of class. It is in your literal best interest to answer everything.

Mr. Bharath is a great professor. His lectures are helpful and he interacts with the class on every single lesson to make sure that we understand what's going on. We had to do one group project that he went over at the very start of the semester. He also gives many opportunities for extra credit.

Statistics is not an easy subject, but he breaks down everything to make sure you get it. He's an amazing teacher. We did give out a few more projects than a regular statistics teacher would've gave but that's ok, I survived.

BEST STATISTICS PROFESSOR! He makes everything easy to understand. 1 group project, 9 take-home quizzes, a midterm and final, 2 assignments, and extra credit journal entries. He goes in dept and shows examples of what he wants for the project and always willing to help you out. Would definitely take him again!

Won't judge a professor by personality, just teaching style, so, here it is! Professor Bharath make stats so easy! I took his third session. Break down statistic into understandable pieces. No HW, no my labs, no ALEKS, two project (25 points each), all quizzes are take home AND not due until a week after.

Take this professor! He's great, everyone feels comfortable talking to him in my class. You just have 9 take home quizzes, midterm&final, 3 "critical thinking" assignments and a group project. He's definitely one of the best at BC. Would 10/10 recommend. TAKE HIM!

Professor Bharath is a delight to have as a professor. His knowledge of the subject matter is amazing. From day one, he recommends that you go to the math lab. Follow his advice !!!! Statistics is know to be quite difficult for most people, but there is plenty of help. The professor is great in class - he explains everything very well.

One of the BEST professors at Broward College. I am not good at Math at all but I managed to pass his class. He is very good at explaining and teaching.

I'm terrible at math and I found myself enjoying this class. I did well in a subject that I thought I would struggle with. He is an amazing professor and explained each lesson very well. Take his class if you want to pass statistics. All you need is a textbook and a calculator. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT HE GIVES YOU. it's super easy and helps final grade

gives quizzes as homework but if you do them they will benefit you in the end. Really good professor

I am not sure why there are bad reviews. Yes, there is homework but he is a great professor and will tell you which tutors to go to in the mathlab so you can get a good grade. He cares about his students and wants everyone to pass. There are also many extra credit opportunities.

The best math professor I've ever had. Textbook isn't mandatory, but it helps if you have it. The class was on campus and moved to online because of the coronavirus, and he was very understanding of the circumstances and with grades. Offers extra credit which helps a lot! If you study, and do all of your work, the class won't be super hard.

HE is a wonderful professor, if you participate and do the work you will pass. And make sure you STUDY STUDY STUDY. If you are close to the next letter grade and you show effort in the class you will be good.

Great professor. He's really passionate about stats, which I respect. Half the class was remote due to covid-19, but he was very understanding. Takes an eternity to upgrade grades, but I'm not gonna blame him. After all, he has nearly a hundred students per semester. If you struggle greatly in math, do his extra credit. It will save you.

Best professor hands down! He will answer any question you have so never be afraid to ask questions. He will explain everything in a way that makes the material super easy. The quizzes are short and he gives 2 hours which is well over enough time. He will respond to an email in 5 minutes. He is actually really funny and caring! Highlt recommend!

Hes the best. Hes an easy teacher and he explains everything to u so its not hard to pass his class. He has two projects but theyre super easy. He gives extra credit and hes very understanding. I would definitely recommend taking him.

Loved this professor. He gives a lot of extra credit to ensure that you pass his class. Quizzes aren't hard at all. Should study for the midterm and final. You won't regret taking this class.

I literally love him, hes so understanding and he explains stuff really well, if you dont understand anything dont hesitate to ask bc hes so sweet about it. the examples he does in class are like the ones on the hw assignments and quizzes. I had a session 4 class and it was easy to handle with other classes. 10/10 this man deserves the entire world

I took this class in fall 2021 session 3, this Professor is very understanding and helpful. I must say you will of to work for your grades by doing the home works or assignments for each chapters, but most of the home works or assignments questions are repeat on the exams. Their were two exams and both are open books. Also, He gives extra credits

Took his class as a session 2 class during the summer. He is a genuinely nice guy, he even bought us pizza on the last day of class. He is from Trinidad so he has an accent, but it is not that bad. You basically have 2 tests and online quizzes. I would definitely take his class again.

He's a great professor! Super helpful when you have questions. I was struggling in the class but he was always willing to go over test questions and homework to make sure I was grasping concepts. He also offered extra credit! Only 3 tests, and they were all exactly what was in the lectures and homework.

He is a great professor. He allowed us to use cheat sheets bc he noticed some of the class wasn't doing so well on the test. Participate, he appreciates when you ask questions and it'll also help you. His class isn't hard as long as you pay attention during his lectures, he really dives into the content and gives great examples. I'd take him again.

He was very kind and understood that we are humans and things happen. He also went over the material in our zoom meetings which helped out so much! I would 100% recommend taking this professor. There is a lot of homework and 6 tests but the material was easy because of how he teaches. If you put in the work, you will 100% pass his class.

Bless this man, I was still able to pass his class despite not doing well on many of the tests. Statistics isn't hard but it is a long process and a lot of work so make sure to plan ahead when it comes to it. Also make a group chat! Lastly, he actually responds and helps you if you message him unlike other math professors and that's a start.

Stats was a difficult class for me but this professor made it less stressful. He was always available to answer any questions and let me makeup exams that I missed due to online troubles. You can tell he cares about his students success. TAKE HIM.

Make sure you go to class because if you miss a couple you will fall behind on the material. His powerpoints are good but vague so you need to be in class to fully understand the material and formulas. He was a good professor overall!

Very kind and is willing to meet anytime he can to help out with homework or things you're struggling with! All the work was extremely easy with the calculator. Great professor!

Dr Deoraj Bharath is great Professor, caring and helpful, he is very intelligent and you will learn from his class, do not miss his lecture . Class was hard for me since I'm not that good at math and there weren't many step by step examples. Professor is amazing and very understanding! Obviously if you are respectful he will return that and is very good at correcting mistakes he makes. He doesn't have consistent due dates so keep an eye on that. MyLab only found thru D2L.

LOVE HIM! I hate math but he makes statistics easy to understand and he will always help if you have any questions and he will walk through it with you. He is very funny and kind to his students. His due dates change so check everyday on D2L. It is a lot of studying but he makes the subject understandbale and gives good study guides. TAKE HIM!!!

Really takes the time to explain and make sure the student understand the material through examples and exercises in order to do homework, Quizzes and tests. Asks question that compel the student to make mistakes in order to learn from them to correctly understand each chapter.

He's a really great professor, he goes over certain assignments if you do not understand them and gives second chances to redo some. There's also a lot quizzes to boost up your grade and that can help you prepare for the first and final exam.

Dr. Bharath is one of the best professors out there! He explains everything very clearly, goes back over things if you ask, and responds to emails very quickly. The class consists of a group project that's divided into 2 parts, 3 tests, and homework/quizzes on D2L. Please take his class! He really cares about his students and wants them to pass.

If you expect to take this class online be prepared to earn your grade. This professor is amazing and will help you in any way to pass the class. I struggled a lot with health and he gave me multiple chances to succeed in his class. Also you can perfect your homework but if you don't pass the exams you will fail exams are 70% of your grade!

Professor Bharath makes statistics engaging and manageable, even for non-math-oriented students. His lectures are packed with examples, and he's always happy to provide extra help. Using Unstuck ai alongside the course materials really boosted my understanding.

If you struggle with math, I suggest you select Professor Bharath. I've had horrible luck when choosing my professors despite using RMP but this one... HE IS GOLDEN -- what a sweet guy! he really just wants you to show up, ask questions and do your work on time... his lectures are very helpful when learning the material, so try not to miss it!

Great professor who truly cares about student success! Take advantage of his office hours, ask questions, and use the ASC for tutoring. Complete all 25 HWs, most of the 8-10 quizzes, and any extra credit. The group assignment seems tough at first but is an easy A if you follow the rubric. Highly recommend!

I didn't interact with Dr. Bharath throughout the course as I took it online. If math is one of your strengths, I think that you'll like how well he lays out the online course. If math is one of your weaker areas, it may be better to take his class in person. Overall I thought he had a great course layout and would take another one of his classes.

You cannot slack off in this class. Taking notes, studying the homework's routinely throughout the course is essential to passing the tests. I do believe this class is difficult if you can't distinguish which formulas to use for each questions on the tests. He writes the formulas on the board, he's nice, and understanding but could be better.
