Brother Jensen is a great teacher. He is an asset to this school. Take his classes, you will learn some cool stuff!
Excellent new teacher. Has a lot of enthusiasm for the subject and makes you want to come to class. He has you learn about the best art and literature of the past 500 years and you'll have fun doing it. Homework is pretty easy; you'll read 5-15 pages per class period and do a quick five-question quiz afterwards. Great teacher, great class.
I loved this class. Dr. Jensen is Hilarious and makes you want to come to class. He knows a lot about the subject and teaches really well. His quizzes are super easy. He gives lot of freebies when you just come to class. GREAT TEACHER!!!! I recommend him to everyone!
I find his class very interesting, and he seems to be genuinely interested in what he is teaching. He is incredibly cute, as well. :) But I think the only thing I cannot report very well on is the clarity of what he teaches - I think he does fine -class itself is rather confusing due to the material (hint: Kant). But I find him to be well-informed.
I feel like he doesn't have ANY enthusiasm for the subject. He has his masters in the History of Science and teaches humanities..feels like socrates is trying to teach us how to run a dish washer. Fairly easy class. Not too bad.
Read assignments twice. Take notes from the book. Young teacher. He's willing to answer questions.
Very good teacher, especially for being new. Lots of quizzes but they're not too bad as long as you do the reading. A couple of projects but overall a fun, interesting class! A couple projects, but they're fun. I would definitely recommend him!
I loved this class. Brother Jensen makes it really interesting and fun. You do some presentations throughout the semester that are kinda busy work, but they can be fun. He gives you a study guide for every test. The class is really fun.
I loved this class. It was so fun and Dr. Jensen made it fun to come to. He was easy and could make anything come to life. It was just a fantastic class and I would suggest it to anyone who is going to take a Humanities class.
I really liked this class. He makes the class really fun and you can tell he loves what he teaches. There's a quiz every day but it's super easy if you do the reading. There's also group presentations and group work throughout the semester but it's fun and easy as well.
I loved this class! It was always the one class that I didn't want to miss. Bro. Jensen made it fun and is easy going. I would STRONGLY encourage anyone to take from this professor!
This was my favorite class, I learned so much in his class. We take short 5pt quizzes everyday in class and have to have the reading assignment done. The reading is hard, but Dr. J does a phenomenal job teaching the material in an easy-to-understand way. A lot of class discussion, so I recommend not missing class. Very cute professor as well :)
I hated this class. Bro. Jensen has a terrible attitude every day, and doesn't care about the students at all. He needs a serious attitude adjustment. He is not helpful, he's lazy, and he requires an extreme amount of work for a semester project that gets assigned the first day of class. He might be good for other class, but not FDCOM 201.
Good teacher, easy class. There's just a dumb group project that I think is totally pointless. There's a 5-point quiz everyday based on the reading. Just do all the reading and you can get full credit. He shows clips from The Office to clarify points in the lecture. Enjoyable and do-able 2 credit class.
Super easy class. Every class you read a short reading to get an easy 5 quiz points. He shows clips from The Office to illustrate communication, which is great. You also do a research/speech project which was kind of a lot of work, but worth the stuff you learn from it. I'd recommend him as a teacher.
This guy is brilliant and very well-informed about he subject matter. He's hilarious and always does a great job of bringing things down to a level that you can understand it. However, he offers minimal (if any) feedback to your assignments, which is frustrating. Brother Jensen's class isn't easy, but its worth it. He is also VERY NICE to look at.
Great class, lots of interesting discussions. Worth taking if you don't mind reading the text before class.
Brother Jensen is truly hilarious and always makes class fun. Even though a lot of the course material is confusing, he does a great job explaining it in a way you can understand it. However, I don't like that he gives very minimal, if any, feedback when it comes to papers and tests. He is insanely attractive :) Class isn't easy, but its worth it.
Brother Jensen is a pretty good teacher. He does care about students and is willing to work with you. He is not extremely difficult, but you do have to read. The tests were kind of difficult because you had to memorize quite a bit. But the class isn't impossible. I would recommend him.
Brother Jensen is a super cool teacher. He makes the class fun becuase you can tell he cares about the subject. As long as you do the reading and go to class you should do well in the class. Also he's pretty cute which just adds to it all!
Totally fun class. I really enjoyed learning about the Machine-Garden theme. It really helped me to become more cultured and to appreciate the many arts that are in the world. He's a great teacher and always willing to help explain things. Also, you'll never feel uncomfortable to ask a question or state what you are thinking. Very fun and mellow.
Brother Jensen is a great and fun teacher. He really can connect and have fun with his students.
Really liked his class. Easier than Rick Davis. His tests are not bad if you read or just know your stuff. Bro. Jensen gets into it more when people participate. I got in with alot of underachievers who didnt care to read or participate and thought they were cool so I got shortchanged there.
Awesome teacher. He explains everything really well and makes the information fun to learn. He just seems very chill about everything. His class is one of my favorites. I would definitely recommend taking from him.
I really don't understand why everyone is giving Bro.Jensen good reviews. I felt like every minute I was in the class was useless. Had an extremely bad experience with him. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I could learn more from Wikipedia then from him. I expected from these other reviews that I'd like his class but I was 100% wrong.
Bro Jensen is an awesome teacher! You would be smart to take from him. He knows his stuff and he is quite humorous! I looked forward to this class, not too difficult. I did good on the tests. Seriously I really enjoyed this class! :) I believe his grading and teaching style are fair. Plus he makes the class laugh. A+
Okay believe it or not this is the class I thought I'd hait the most, but it was by far my favorite class. I took Intro to Art and Culture. It was awesome. In all the humanities courses you have to memorize classical music this is the easiest class I've heard of when memorizing those. The work load isn't too much.
I was already quite familiar with the humanities when I took this class, so I didn't learn much new material. I wish he had gone more in depth with the subjects, but overall it was a good, easy class. The tests are easy, and he's a fun, cool teacher.
I think he's a really gifted teacher. I knew a little about the subject, but it seemed like I was always interested in the lectures and I easily retained the material. The tests were easy because of this. Generally, he made it really easy and interesting to learn about the humanities.
I LOVE Brother Jensen! He is one of the BEST teacher's I've had on this campus! He truly cares about his students and wants them all to succeed. He danced/sung for us in order for us to remember songs. You will not regret taking this class if you do!
This guy is brilliant! he knows his stuff relly well. class was interesting! Tests were very hard for me. The review in class was never good enough. He picks random facts but to succeed in his class you must attend and take notes. A lot of busy work overall.
Mr. Jensen is hilarious and I loved going to his classes! There's three exams, that are pretty easy, quizzes everyday that were super easy if you read the assigned reading, and several writing assignments, as well as 3 papers that were fairly easy. I'm horribly at english, but managed to get a hundred on almost all of them. Take him! so worth it!!!
I had no interest in humanities and now I do, so much so I might make it a minor. Brother Jensen is an amazing man! I learned so much and looked forward to his class everyday. Take him, you'll love it.
I loved Brother Jensen as a teacher. Great man and very enthusiastic about the class that he was teaching. Although others found this class very easy, I found it difficult. I had no interest in Humanities and still don't. The class was itself was well organized and had daily I-Clicker Quizzes. There were three exams total which were fairly easy.
I really liked Brother Jensen. He knew how to make class fun and it's an easy A or B. There are daily quizzes, but they are generally easy. The only thing that was a little hard were the tests. There were only 3 but make sure you study and pay attention.
Good teacher. Paper was hard, but learned a lot!
Prof. Jensen is a nerdy dude that is funny and makes the class comfortable. His class isn't that hard if you are adept at writing short papers and doing some research. I don't think his grading of participation is fair and he doesn't seem to give a grade above a 95 (other than tests), but in the end getting an A is about doing the papers/reading.
Loved this class so much! Great teacher!
Brother Jensen is such a chill dude. His syllabus is crystal clear, he has no surprises. The subject was interesting, you could tell he loved to teach it which made it easier to understand! He's got a great sense of humor and will answer any questions. I loved him and would definitely recommend him!
Difficult teacher but I'm learning so much from this class and it's so worth it. A lot of work tho...
AWESOME CLASS!!! Best class i have taken so far! He makes it really interesting and fun. The work isnt to hard at all, you just have to do it!
Beauty and Creativity has been my favorite class so far. Jensen always made class interesting and fun. He made sure that we understood the concepts, even if he had to show us clips from The Office to do so! The work doable, just a few short papers and super easy 4 question quizzes each day. Do the reading and they are easy to pass. Take his class!
Brother Jensen Is a pretty chill guy. though I am not a fan of the subject, he manages to make it tolerable. You take a quiz each class on the reading. He has a few written reports. If you do them, it you have a good grade. Study the music and art. Tests get you if you don't.
Brother Jensen makes this subject fun because he loves it so much. His class has dull moments and unless you stay up on reading, it's easy to fall behind. The course load isn't too much, though. The only negative thing is that sometimes I feel Brother Jensen would rather not be there and I can't figure out why. He's great though! :)
He told me not to expect an A. His quiz's are ridiculously difficult. His tests are based on a lot of things he says in class but he is never clear on what is important in class so it's nearly impossible to take useful notes. Not good about getting back to his students and refuses to accept when he is unclear about something.
Brother Jensen is a really great teacher. He is very enthusiastic in his teaching, you can tell that he enjoys what he teaches. I don't care what other people say about him (especially the review below) he is very relaxed and he is always willing to help. You should definitely take this teacher.
I really enjoyed Brother Jensen as a teacher! I thought that he taught so that everyone could understand the material and he let you know what would be on the test. His class is pretty easy if you attend regularly and do the reading every day before class. He does clicker questions before class everyday but they are easy if you do the reading!
I thought class would be boring but was pleasantly surprised. It was interesting and inspiring, and Bro Jensen is super chill. Highlights of class include Les Mis, running around campus taking pictures, listening to classical music, going to concerts and plays, and stop framing movies to find hidden meaning in the lighting, and object placement.
You learn a LOT in his class, but somehow, it has a really relaxed feel to it. He definitely is passionate about the subject! I highly recommend his class.
Bro Jensen is awesome. He made it fun ti be in class and is really passionate about his subject. He is really big on respect, so absolutely no electronic devices. Reasonable daily iclicker questions on the reading for the day. Got me more interested in art than I ever have been in the past. Take his class!!
Great professor, probably one of the best I've had! I didn't have an interest in humanities before I went to this class but I absolutely love it now! He's an easy teacher and really fun. There's in-class clicker quizzes everyday but as long as you did the really easy readings then you'll be fine. His tests are easy as long as you study!
My only objection to Bro. Jensen is that he is a blatant hypocrite. i have attended his class everyday and i get the impression that he tries to go out of his way to be controversial. If you enjoy modern entertainment, he says you are poorly cultured. The only way something can be considered truth in his class is if he says it.
such an amazing teacher and such a cool guy and I would recommend him to anyone looking to take a humanities class. He makes his own test but they are super super easy as long as you review material. gives you a study guide. Bring your iclicker to class. Not that much work just read before class for daily quiz. YOU"LL LOVE HIM
SUPER EASY, tough we is very arrogant and thinks he is perfect. Uh, i really did not like him. But it was an easy A, he has this "automatic" policy if you come to class every day the whole semester and are not late...you get an automatic 100% on the final :)
Professor Jensen is amazing and really has changed my life. This class rocks and I think that everyone should take it. Seriously! I needed a low-stress "show up and pass" class and Positive Living gave me so much more than I could have hoped for. Professor Jensen cares about his students, he is easy going and helps you to be the same. He gets life!
Dr. J is a great teacher and really enjoys teaching philosophy. When he doesn't know the answer to a student's questions he admits it, does the research between class period, and comes back with a clear answer. At times the lectures were dull (could be subject material or time of day) but other than that the class was informative and rich.
Pretty good class, Brother Jensen is super passionate about the things he teaches. Highly recommend sticking to the syllabus, remembering the readings, and being in class every day.
Bro. Jensen is OBSESSED with passive voice. DON'T USE IT AT ALL! He will discuss how bad it is constantly and mark you down on your papers every time it pops up. He isn't very helpful at explaining criteria well, if you e-mail him for specifications he will just quote the syllabus at you.
Awesome class, teacher, and discussions.
Brother Jensen pisses me off on frequent occasion. The material itself is fine--in fact I love the arts--but his ego is more important to him than the productivity of his clients (I pay a lot of money for him to stand there and blabber). Not only does he waste a lot of time, but he gets upset if you do homework on your laptop during his tangents.
I had Bro. Jensen for Foundations of Humanities and he was awesome. Even though there was homework due practically every class it almost never took longer than an hour. He made class interesting and had a great sense of humor. I would definitely advise taking class from him. As a warning, there were quizzes on the homework in class each day.
He is a really entertaining teacher. He made a topic that I wasn't interested in, tolerable. He gives a short quiz every class but they are very easy if you did the reading. He talks a lot but he is very easy to listen to.
LOVED HIM! Short quiz every class over the short reading. Very easy. Tests are super easy. He gives you the study guide. Have to be in class to take the quizzes. There are a few extra assignments like going to a concert, art exhibit, etc. then writing a 1 page paper over it. He is hilarious and usually lets out early because he is hungry. Take him!
Bro. Jensen is great. He is super smart but talks and acts like a college student. His lectures are pretty boring, but his personality makes up for it. The one thing to watch out for is that his laid back demeanor may trick you into thinking he is an easy grader, but he takes the work seriously and you have to work for an A in this class.
Brother Jensen actually made this class really interesting. You have to read things every night and expect a quiz on it the next class period. You have to go to four events over the semester and write papers on them, but they're easy 100s. The tests were easy if you actually did the reading each night. Bro J does NOT like phones or laptops out.
Trust the syllabus, not Brother Jensen. He has misinformed me more than once about class assignments. On one occasion I missed class, emailed him explaining my absence, and asked how to make up for it. Weeks later there was a group project I urgently completed alone and got docked on because he never responded to that email. Simply not reliable. :/
Brother Jensen is an awesome teacher and very entertaining. He has a lot of passion for what he does and it really shines through in his teaching. Make sure to study really hard for the tests because they are most of your grade. Also, attendance is completely mandatory or you will definitely not do well.
The readings and videos assigned outside of class are fascinating, but Bro. Jensen has poor command of the classroom and his lectures are often dry and rambling. It's a shame, because I think he really does love the arts, but he doesn't transfer that enthusiasm to his students. On the plus-side (I guess) his quizzes and tests are pathetically easy.
TAKE HIM!! He was my favorite teacher on campus right now! He is pretty hilarious. He knows his stuff very well. He will help you if you have any questions. I thought I hated art, but after taking his class I found that art could be fun! I learned so much from him and the class! You have a quiz every time, but if you do the reading, it's easy!
Man, I can't tell you how much I love him within 350 characters. He knows his stuff and he knows what he is talking about. I hated art but now I appreciate. I got so much out of this class. Study hard and don't skip classes. He is really funny. He explains things really well as well, you can talk to him after class for more. TAKE HIM!!!!
I love this professor! He know about what he talking about. The readings are large, but enjoyable if you find it interesting and ready to learn. If you do not read you will have a bad grade in your quizzes, but then he explains everything. He answers every question you have, and helps you if need it.
If you do the reading and take good notes, this is an easy A. Brother Jensen is super passionate about every topic you cover in humanities, and he's happy to explain things as much as possible. If you're a visual learner you'll especially like his class because you watch a lot of videos every day.
Brother Jensen is an awesome professor. He has a passion for what he is teaching, and class is enjoyable. If you do the readings, and take avid notes in class, you'll get an A. You do have small quizzes every day, so attendance is crucial.
One of the most inspirational teachers I've ever had. This class was so awesome and Bro Jensen made every class a class you wouldn't want to miss. Suer funny and overall great teacher. Take him!!! Get on the wait lists of you have to its worth the wait.
His lectures were very interesting! However, I'm glad it was just an hour long class, but that was more toward my lack of interest in humanities than the teacher's skills. My grades all coordinated with my personal understand of humanities, not his teaching skills. I had a difficult time on tests but always excelled on projects! I enjoyed Jensen!
Seriously, Bro Jensen is HYSTERICAL. His class was a blast! He knows all about this subject, but is not pompous about it whatsoever. The textbook matters, and he has quizzes every class period on the chapter. Other than that, you do a one-time semester presentation, write one paper, and laugh at his cheesy jokes. Plus, you learn a TON! Take him!
Good teacher but the class material wasn't very enjoyable
Brother Jensen is an Amazing teacher. He really knows his stuff and is give great lectures. He really likes students to participate and answer any questions asked. He always does exam review before exams and is clear what will be coming out in the exams. Exams are done in class so don't need to go to testing center. NO EXTRA CREDIT but wont need it
Bro. Jensen is very passionate about what he teaches. However, the tests are absurdly long and requires you to memorize many details that have no relevance. The reading assignments take forever. Lots of group projects. Lots of papers to write. Lots of outside-of-class assignments. Classes are just a repeat of what you just did on your homework.
Brother Jensen is a cool guy! But the material was boring, and not easy to really get into. A lot of reading and online quizzes for homework. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you miss class you'll be behind. He goes on tangents about things he is passionate about. The tests include things that aren't important.
Bro Jensen is a good dude but a bad teacher. He has a lot of opinions and if your opinion isn't the same as his then you're wrong. Lectures are a big waste of class time. He takes a long time to get to a mediocre point
I HATED taking FDHUM110 with Bro. Jensen. He was pretty laid back, but I didn't learn anything from him. Lectures were a complete waste of time. There was no valuable discussion or analysis of the pieces we studied. The class was pretty easy overall, but you have to be good at studying on your own. The exams are memorization and multiple choice.
Brother Jensen is great, I really loved his class despite my bad grade, he gives good lectures, assigns interesting books, and his class was a highlight of my day. Although he gives a study guide his tests are pretty darn difficult especially the last two, so beware!!!
Brother Jensen is amazing. He connects really well with the students he has and makes his lectures very fun and interesting. You can tell that he is very passionate about what he teaches and really wants his students to know the value of the knowledge he is giving. There's a short quiz before every class over the homework(usually reading or video).
If you actually read the assigned reading and pay attention in class, this is a fairly easy course. Bro Jensen is quick to help you out if youre having trouble too, which is nice. He does have you work in groups sometimes though. All in all, I enjoyed taking this class from Bro Jensen very much.
Brother Jensen is very passionate and knowledgable about humanities. Make sure to take notes! The tests are pretty difficult, but as long as you ace the daily quizzes, you should pass.
Brother Jensen is a cool guy but not a good teacher. The things he goes over in class aren't usually on the exams. You have to really pay attention to the reading assignments and you're kinda on your own. If you aren't on top of your homework assignments you're not going to do well on the exams.
Brother Jensen is a great teacher. If you take pay attention, participate in class discussions, take notes and attend the study sessions you will pass! This was my favorite class this semester by far!
He will not put up with anything. If you miss class even for a dying family member. Or you get sick like the flu he doesnt care he doesnt email you back. And will not even consider giving you points for something if it was a group project you missed class for even if it was for a dead family member.
Brother Jensen was an awesome professor! I loved going to his class! He was very clear on what was graded and what was going to be on the test. Study hard, and prepare for the daily quizzes that he has, and you'll do just fine on the tests. Study groups and friends in the class made it even better.
I really enjoyed his class, and I learned so much! It's been over two years since I took Humanities from him, but I still remember most of the material. Yes, it required a lot of work, and you really had to pay attention, but I'm glad I took it, and I'd do it again.
Brother Jensen knows how to take Humanities, which many people, including myself, finds no use in knowing, and makes it interesting and not to difficult. I would recommend him to everyone.
Brother Jensen was great. He made humanities pretty interesting. I would recommend that you don't skip class, though. He doesn't post slides or many outside resources so if you aren't in class you'll be in trouble for the tests. There are a lot of easy group projects. Participate and do the readings and you'll do just fine.
Brother Jensen was very average. He probably will never know your name. His lectures are boring and he seems bored giving them. If you do the daily online quizzes and read youll be fine.
The deeper meaning behind vases and the personality types of greek columns (they dont have personalities its limestone) was never my way of thinking. I dont think everthing has a subtle nuance to it, but he manages to keep itinteresting. Hes funny & entertaining. He reminds me of Justin Hammer from Iron Man 2. Watch the movie & youll see why.
He speaks in a monotone at all times and seems almost perpetually bored by the material, which makes the classes kind of hard to sit through. There's also a ton of really dense reading involved but it is usually interesting.
Attendance helps to clarify readings and class topics will be on the test. 4 exams, lowest exam grade dropped. Worth taking for a basic understanding of literature, architecture, film, art etc. Be ready to read Shakespeare, read old stories, and 3 quizzes weekly. Bro Jensen knows his stuff, could be more lively, talented musician, good professor.
I have so many problems with this teacher. Just dont take him.
Brother Jensen cares about his students, he's knowledgeable about all topics discussed in class. There are 3 quizzes a week based on the readings due before class, 4 unit tests in class but the lowest grade is dropped. Attendance isn't mandatory but material for tests is discussed in class. Textbooks can be found online. I'd recommend him.
He gave lots of little assignments but they would not change the test scores. Might as well not even do the little reading quizzes. Also, he did not care to understand the students life or see his students a priority to him he was just going through the motions. Take humanities from any other teacher.
such a dull professor, goes about teaching philosophy all wrong. Takes all the individual thinking and processing out of it.
This class is probably easy with any other teacher, but with him it was so hard. He is so boring and rude to students when you email asking for help. Honestly, a Foundations class shouldn't be as hard as he made it. I am so glad I'm done taking his class. He was the worst teacher I have ever had. Good luck if you have him.
There is a lot of reading and a lot of homework in this class, but none of it is super difficult. He is a good teacher, but not one of my favorites. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities though.
He is very polite and passionate about what he teaches. His classes can feel very long, he shares a lot of information where the class just sits and listens to what you read about already for your homework. A lot of your grade depends on the quizzes that you take, there are a lot so you have to do all of the readings! He does not take attendance.
I absolutely love Brother Jensen's class. He definitely gets a bad wrap. He is very passionate about humanities. He does not take attendance, but most of his test questions are exactly what he says in class. He offers multiple opportunities for extra credit and his assignments are easy.
Brother Jensen is an excellent teacher. If you rely on his review sheet before tests, it will help you answer every question. Obtaining an A is very easy in his class. He is also understanding if something goes wrong, you can email him about it. He gets rid of unnecessary busywork and lecturing time. I highly recommend him!
He is probably the most passionate teacher I have ever had. He really cares about humanities and I actually loved the class. It was so interesting and I learned a ton. The homework is basically big projects. Learn so many songs, attend a certain amount of plays (or similar things), identify certain works of art around campus.
I loved Derek Jensen so much! He is funny and caring but he does have a lot of homework but I learned more in this class than any class I've taken in my life. Everything you learn will help you notice new things in your own life.
His class is incredibly hard to get a good grade in because his tests have very little correlation to the things we actually talk about and study. Honestly, he's a good guy, so if you' just trying to learn random stuff about old art and music take him, but if you want to get a good grade that reflects your work, SERIOUSLY take it from anyone else.
Brother Jensen is a solid teacher. The class itself can be a tad boring just because of the material we go over, but he definitely makes it entertaining with his great personality. I thought there was an appropriate amount of work in the class and there's a few 700 words papers you need to write, so nothing crazy. 10/10 would recommend him!
I do not recommend him! He gave the whole class an option to our change on our lowest quiz score if we completed optional assignment in return. I emailed the professor with specific questions about the assignment. The email I received back from him was unacceptable. The only words in the email were "idk". So unprofessional and would never recommend
Professor Jensen is an amazing Teacher. I have learned a lot from him and the assignments aren't super hard. He is super relatable and always helps to explain what can be misunderstood from the readings in later classes so don't skip. You take the time to study, look over the reviews, ¬ just treat this as a throwaway class you can get an A.
Bro. Jenson is awesome! this was my favorite class this semester and I learned a lot. Make sure you show up to class for the attendance quizzes and you'll be good.
Really great teacher, exams are fair, he does his best to not trick you with the questions. If you miss a lecture, make sure you get notes from a friend. Every exam will have 1 or 2 questions from each lecture. Doesn't reply to emails quickly, but to be fair, the guy has 8 kids. Really enjoyed this class.
Attendance is a must! Daily attendance quizzes happen almost every class. He is passionate about his work and does a great job of teaching the humanities so you can easily understand it. Gives several reminders for upcoming events like tests. Make sure to take notes in class so you can look back at them because what you learn will be on the test.
Brother Jensen is awesome! I have learned so many cool things in his class about architecture, theater, art, etc. He is funny and great at teaching. You can tell he has passion for what he teaches. The class is easy, fun, and interesting. You have assignments the day before class to get to know the material, and it's interesting and easy.
I had been hit by a car 5th week into my first semester. He was caring, understanding, and helped me achieve my goals. I am submitting this before I know my final grade. Currently it is at a B- Most assignments require passwords. This means you need to be in class day to day to get a good grade.
Bro Jensen is nice as a person but I wouldn't take him as a professor. We never review for exams, he goes too fast teaching, his grading is unfair and on his review sheets for the exams, lots of stuff isn't even on the exam. It's frustrating. Also other humanities professors can use a notecard on test to have with you, but we can't have one.
This was my favorite class of the semester. Brother Jensen is just a cool guy, and utilizes many resources for his teaching which make the class engaging and memorable. Personally, I didn't think he was a hard grader at all. He made me have a deeper appreciation for the arts, and I learned things that I will use for the rest of my life.
I took him for a philosophy class, the work was easy, but the way he taught was really dumb. He had the idea that certain people had correct points of view, and some didn't, and that if you debated with him he wouldn't accept that he was wrong, and not give good evidence as to why he was right. Nice guy, but let us debate and accept a loss man. ugh
I love Brother Jensen so much, I took his philosophy class just for my generals, but he made me actually enjoy philosophy. Highly recommend him to anyone who is wanting to try it out. Probably one of my favorite teachers in this whole school so far.
I loved this class. i had never taken a philosophy class so it was definitely a different way of thinking to get use to. Brother Jensen has really fun lectures and knows what he is talking about. It definitely is a class that you have to participate in, but it's really fun.
Bro. Jensen clearly knew a good amount about Philosophy however the lectures and slides often went from topic to topic without much differentiation which made it hard to keep track in person or even when catching up online. However there is a good amount of lenience with him dropping lowest grades of assignments at the end of the semester.
Brother Jensen has been an amazing teacher this semester! I really appreciated his teaching style and humor! There are four main exams, but as long as you take notes and pay attention in class, you'll be just fine! This was probably my favorite class this semester, and I actually switched my major to humanities because I loved this class so much!
