Class was very interesting. Rampal is funny and fun. If you find math hard take this class, everything is explained well, but you must do the homework even though it isn't mandatory. It helps a lot.

Honestly he is one of the most relaxed, understanding teachers I have had. He understands if you can't make it to class once in a while or if you have to leave a little early. If you have any questions, just email him, he's understanding and straightforward. Trig can be tough so just study, come to class, and ask questions.

Derek is one of my favorite professors. I took three of his classes as a dual-enrollment student and he even welcomed me to sit in on his Calculus class which I found enjoyable. I hate waking up early, but I didn't as much mind as long as I was going to his class. He teaches at a fast pace, but as long as you put some effort in, he will as well.

Unfortunately, I took the class in 8 weeks and because of this it was hard.However, Professor Rampal helped me a lot and then I was able to pass the class. At first, I was doing just fine but then it got confuse and he noticed it; even though I was doing bad by the end of semester, he curved my grades and I passed the class. Great Professor, wants to see his students pass so he will go the extra mile to ensure the topic is understood. Ask questions, he responds quickly even on Sundays. He gives real world examples so its easier to grasp and remember the topics. He gets straight to the point and tells you like it is so do not expect any sugar coating from him.

Fantastic professor. He is always there for you when you really need help. ALEKS is not really necessary for a class like this, having a teacher like this. Curves every exam, no midterm, final yes. No projects or group work. ALEKS is the homework (usually due at the last day of class (not a great concept)) Exams not long at all. Recommend 100%!!!

I took this as a 6 week class. He really curves the grades, so that was amazing. The test were really hard, and you have to be able to apply what you learned in order to do well. It was easier with some of the tests. It seems like it would be an easy class, but it is some difficult concepts. He made class fun for the 3.5 hours.

The best professor! I had a huge crush on him throughout the semester that was the only hard time for me specially at focusing, other than that everything was ok. If you put in the time and do the work this is an EASY A! That's not to say you don't have to work and show effort. I am not a math wiz, but Prof Rampal is VERY fair and gets that no one likes math, so he helps you out. I got a 95%. TAKE HIM you won't be disappointed!

Prof Rampal made stats a breeze. He explains everything at a level easy enough for anyone to understand. Replaces worst test with final and is constantly stopping to make sure we all understand. If you don't do the online assignments, you wont pass the exams.

Gives you chances to make up your worst test. He curves your testes and homework. Heads up go to d2l click previous exam on the left corner and practice for the tests usually and always its the same but in different orders.

This was a math class so expect to put in work but overall Prof Rampal will work with you and he is very helpful. If he sees you trying, he will meet you half way. Do you work and go to every class.

This class was pretty easy but I took it before and failed. I really liked the blended course even though I didnt know what it was. A lot of people dropped because they didnt do their online work and I understand because I HATE ALEKS but it does teach u. Downtown is cool also.

He offers tutoring. He does care and he will help if you are willing to put the effort into the class. Yes, there is homework on the computer. It will help you. If you do it. You will not pass if you do not try.

This class is a blended course with online hw and tests taken at the testing center. Professor Rampal provides tons of online tools to help learn the material. Watching the lecture videos before class will make lecture a breeze. Most generous professor I've had at BC in regard to grading. Rampal is a must for STA2023!

Probably the most stressful math class I've taken but I still passed with an A. Prof is cool and laid back and will replace your test scores with your new scores. Class was almost 3hrs but he would pop some of his old stories to ease the time in class. Study a lot to know the material not pass the test and work with Prof and youll do alright.

Professor always answers your questions. We spent the last two or three weeks reviewing for the final. If u dont like blended, dont take the class but I thought it was good for a blended class. Taking college algebra also. Will review.

professor posts all the lectures online but no one ever watches them. considering how short the class is, he is way better than my other professor. would be very easy if i watched the videos. still got an A but only because he grades nicely. would take again.

Professor lets you replace exams with what you get on the final. Its blended so it goes faster but he goes over everything in class on the tests. Still hard but when he replaces everything at the end, I think Im going to do ok.

Professor Rampal gave great lectures and allowed us to use our calculators and taught us how to, which made our lives much much easier. Prof. Rampal wasn't so helpful outside of the classroom when I sent him emails and got non-clear responses to what was asked. Other then that, I would take him again.

Nothing short of amazing. I am so bad at math i even withdrew from my prior MAC 1105 however, he definitely notes if you are trying. I am sure if i pushed more I could have got a B . I didn't really pass final it ended up getting curved though so i ended up passing. I could never thank him enough. Changed my life I am done with that and stats!

Prof. Rampal's MGF 1106 is a very easy class. All you have to do is just watch the videos from MathLab and do the hw and take the test (extremely easy). Attendance is not mandatory at all. There is no cumulative final and he gives ALL EXTRA CREDIT on ALL TESTS. So, you can get a C- on a test, and with the extra credit, get an A (happened to me).

I suck at math and it was flying over my head. Then I realized that I don't understand anything in class. And I also realized that all my knowledge was from the homework assignments on MML. So, I stopped attending class and kept doing the homework. He gives so much extra credit! OMG! I got a 99% for this class. A must take professor.

I'm not going to lie, I barely attended class and I literally passed his class with an A. NOT BECAUSE IM GOOD AT MATH. I literally passed the final and he passed me with an A. You can literally do a terrible job throughout the whole class but if you participate in class and pass the final YOU'RE GUCCI.

Professor Rampal really knows his material. He is laid back but is still to be respected and does like you to participate. He will move quickly, so if there is something you don't understand, you need to speak up and he will elaborate or review. The class was homework and exams. He curves the grades at the end so do not panic. Do the homework!

I dont know who negatively rate Professor Rampal but he is the BEST. I literally struggled with this class took it twice until I took it with him. He explains the material well and will definitely help you if you need it. I wish every professor was like him. As long as you show up do the work and participate you will pass.

The videos online are great. He repeats weekly that students need to watch the videos but none of the other students are watching them. If you watch the videos and do the reviews, the course is easy. The tests are the same as the reviews and the videos explain everything in detail.

Great professor, gives you everything you need to succeed. WATCH THE VIDEOS he gives you. Im telling you the people that dont pass his class, simply didnt listen to him and utilize the tools he gives you. This class takes time and effort, if you dont try in this class dont blame the professor.

Just as everyone said previously, watching the videos is imperative. I didn't find him any more difficult than any other professor but the material itself was difficult. As long as you stay up with deadlines and watch the instruction videos, you can pass.

I took Session 4, so from March 12 to May 5th, I did probably around 100 Stats questions per week but honestly, just do the Test Review and then do the test, you'll be fine. Take his longer session if you need more time per week but overall, just tests and homework and that's it. No discussions or anything, just math problems.

His multivariable calculus is so easy to get an a+ and he is a very nice professor as well. GOAT RAMPAL!!!
