He's the best teacher here!
he is very hot and I want him
Dr. Taylor is quite possibly the best teacher/professor I have ever had and I've my share of good teachers. If all English teachers would model their teaching after him then everyone would have a love for English.

I just wanted to say thank you Dr. Taylor for making class so interesting. I am starting to like British Literature!
What a great guy. And, c'mon, isn't he exactly like Grimey Grimes from the Simpsons? Awesome.
His daily drawings should be in the smithsonian. He should be quoted by the wisest of men, like the possibility of dying tragically in a freak blimp accident .

He's good-looking, funny, likes the Simpsons, what more could you want in a professor? You actually made me enjoy Paradise Lost. Now that really is something. I recommend everyone take a class from him!
Dr. Taylor is one of my favorite professors. He's awesome!
I absolutely LOVE his class! He makes everything so much fun. I always dreaded English class, now I look forward to it every week!
greatest teacher that i ever had
He is so great!! I have never been good at English and he makes it a lot easier, although it is not an easy class! I recommend him to take even if you don't need an English credit.
AWESOME professor! He makes things crystal clear and fun. He really gets into teaching, which makes everyone want to learn in class. After recieving one of the best compliments on a paper I've gotten from a teacher, he's convinced me to major in English!
I was able to take him for honors, and it has definitely been my favorite class in college thus far. The assignments are not easy, but Dr. Taylor makes every effort to help you discover your strengths. Overall it was a great experience. Take him
He is a GREAT TEACHER!! Need not say more except he is not bad to look at during class!
I actually read all of the material for that class. He was the beat and can make any book interesting. Really helpful after class and really enthusiastic. Helpful on papers but tests are somewhat difficult. DO NOT SKIP CLASS! You will miss too much.
Very interesting class, I loved reading all of the books assigned. Helped me out when I needed it.
Dr. Taylor is the best teacher at Longwood.
ok...can we just say HOT!? i love his class, i love him. everything we read he makes so interesting...but he does have a penchant to relate it all to sex...not that i mind..
Dr. Taylor is one of the best professors at Longwood. Also one of the best looking. His love of literature is contagious. He even made Paradise Lost interesting. This was definetly one of my favorite classes. You won't want to miss it. Class is way too fun and exciting. Dr. Taylor is the man!
awesome class. he is a wonderful professor... and *fun* to watch! =D

Don't miss his class...he doesn't like it. But it's fun to go to anyways. Not only becaue he is such a cutie, but he is so into what he teaches that he makes you want to learn the material. He makes the material easy to understand. Assignments are somewhat difficult, but if you put forth an effort and go to him for help, you will do great.
Hottie McHottster
Dr. Taylor is an awesome English teacher. He expects a lot from you and makes you work but he's a really good teacher. I would def. take another class from him. He's really funny and he's just a good English teacher. He knows what he's talking about.
He is hott which is why I always got out of bed for class. I mean his class was hard but worth it because he made it fun and interesting. Definetly one of the best english professors at Longwood.
Dr. Taylor was an awesome professor. He's really helpful. His classes are always entertaining; he's so random it makes english fun. I had already done a lot of the material we covered, but in meeting with him one on one I was able to learn a lot more. He's great.
Although I don't like British literature, Dr. Taylor made class interesting. He's a good professor, very willing to help you when you need something, and a great person. Watch out for his reading quizzes, though; he gives them without warning to see if you have read for that class! He's a good teacher, though, and as I said, a nice guy as well.
Very encouraging, interesting professor. He definitely expects a lot from his students (but don't all the best teachers do this?) I'm a teacher now, and I find myself saying things like him like, "I LOVE Shakespeare so much!" (Dr. Taylor is definitely passionate about his beloved British literature. His enthusiasm is infectious.)
Best english teacher I have ever had..He is amazing in every way and makes every class more interesting than the first..He is the funniest teacher I have ever had..Gives challenging assignments but makes them enjoyable at the same time by his humor..Definetly take his classes
funny guy. class really hard. i went to him for help all the time and i still did bad. questions on quizzes and final really random and no one does good on his papers. at least he isnice to look at.
One of the greatest teachers I've ever had. He's always willing to help, he keeps things interesting and you can tell he's passionate about what he does. He also knows how to have fun, so while the class is a lot of work, its fun.
Dr. Taylor is an awesome professor. He is super funny and makes his students learn the material. I couldn't of asked for a better 150 professor. The novel he made us read was rather boring, but that's OK. his final exam is easy but he is a tough grader on papers. Seems like he sort of picks favorites adn gives them good grades? but I recommend him!
Very funny guy! I really enjoyed his class, he's very animated and fun. Definitely my favorite so far. He's incredibly helpful and friendly too, it's easy to talk to him after class if you have a problem or if you just want to talk about something.

Amazing professor, he's always willing to help you out and is just so happy to teach.
I can't believe Dr. Taylor hasn't gotten a written review. HE IS THE BEST!!!! He choses interesting material for his classes and presents them in an interesting way. He is passionate and inspires his students.
His lectures are hilarious and you really understand the material better, but you can't get away with not reading. The only downside is that he is a really tough grader, especially for essays.
He is a GREAT professor! Really funny and fully explains the material. However, you must read and he does grade hard on essays but it's because he genuinely wants to make you a better writer. I absolutely loved him. Take everything you can with him.
AWESOME class. He brings the literature to life. Very interesting and fun way of learning. Like I said, VERY AWESOME CLASS. He is a really tough grader though. YOU MUST TAKE NOTES!!!!!
Gets very excited about the class. Grades hard on essays.
Incredible professor. He is not easy on grading, but can be really helpful if you ask. He was the first English prof I had, and none since can even compare. Can't wait to take another class with him next semester!
I took this class a couple years ago and I can't believe I forgot to rate Dr. Taylor! He is truly one of the most entertaining and informative professors here. Classes were funny and interesting. Even though I was only an English minor, he was very encouraging and supportive of my goals. Amazing professor (and not bad to look at either :)).
I loved Dr. Taylor's class! He is honestly the best to take if you are in limbo about taking is class over another. He is enthusiastic about what he teaches and he's funny too. Take notes while he talks, and write down what pages to passages he mentions- will help with tests! ALWAYS READ- it's not that bad.
His example drawings are glorious and so is his sense of humour. I learned (and enjoyed the process) because this guy is a fantastic professor. 10/10 would take him again. Also, as a dude, I'm telling you - he is a beautiful man.
Everything said on here is right. He's great with communicating the material and has a wonderful sense of humor. His drawings are brilliant. The man is so good looking! Gorgeous man. Very tough grader though as he expects a lot from us. You work really hard in his class but it's worth it because of how much you learn.
Best teacher I've had by far. He is understanding and helpful. I didn't do well at first because I wasn't reading (YOU MUST READ!) but he gave me a 2nd chance when he noticed how much I was improving. His quizzes are easy to ace once you understand the structure. He is hilarious and his drawings are picaso-esque. Would take again in a heartbeat!!!!
I love this guy. He's one of Longwood's best. He is really engaging, energetic, and funny. Never a dull moment in the class. He's tough, but he will help you if you ask him. He cares a lot about his students as people too, and if you're having personal problems he'll talk with you. Very sweet and kind, but no BS. Take his 400500s!
Although there is a lot of reading, Taylor makes class a lot of fun. He is very engaging with the students and is willing to sit down with you and help you with anything you need. Annotating in the texts make preparing for his quizzes easier and in order to pass his quizzes you HAVE to do the readings. I'm hoping to take one of his classes again.
really into his teaching and hearing his students speak up
Dr. Taylor was the best teacher I had during the semester when I took him for his World Lit. class. There are readings every single night, and quizzes on it first thing next class. The quizzes are not hard at all, they're only to make sure you read. The stories are mind blowing and amazing, and Taylor does an excellent job at explaining them.
Dr. Taylor is honestly the very best at Longwood. He is just such an amazing professor and person in general! I loved his World Lit class, and I can't wait to take more classes with him! The readings and papers you do are very interesting, and Dr. Taylor is so enthusiastic about his teaching and his students! I love love love Dr. Taylor!!!
Dr. Taylor is a great professor that makes your daily readings (make sure you do these) fun and interesting, you will never find yourself looking at the clock during a lecture. Overall Dr. Taylor is a caring professor that clearly cares a lot about the material he teaches.
Dr. Taylor's class was so enjoyable and I came out with a lot of knowledge. He always made class interesting and fun and so therefore it was easy to want to go to class. If you don't do the assigned reading however, you're not going to pass as the class is entirely reading/discussion/quiz based.
Definitely one of my favorite professors I've taken thus far at Longwood. He's so enthusiastic and addresses all questions presented to him. His class is a LOT of reading but I enjoyed all his lectures and discussions immensely. Be prepared for daily quizzes!
Dr. Taylor is the best professor I had so far at Longwood. I hate hate hate English but he made it a little bit more enjoyable. He truly wants the best for his students. Make sure to read the pages your'e supposed to read.
Best professor I have had at Longwood. He explains things so well, if you are having a tough time with something go to him he will most definitely be able to help. Highly recommend taking him!!!
Dr. Taylor is great! He is accessible outside of class, which is a plus. You can tell how passionate he is about teaching. Super funny!
Honestly such a fun professor. Grades essays a little tough, so if you're looking for an easy A, he isn't your guy. However, he is so understanding and willing to work with you. You can tell he really cares and is passionate about his job. Super energetic and fun.
MY FAVORITE!! Take his class! He is an amazing person and teacher. You do have to do homework but its not too much to manage, its definetly worth it in the end. His class is interesting and he is invested in you and always willing to help on school and personal matters. So amazing!
Dr. Taylor is one of Longwood's best professors! I wasn't looking forward to taking this class but he makes it so interesting that I actually love going to it. You do have homework every day but it's usually short readings and it's very manageable if you put in a tiny bit of effort. I really recommend taking his class!
FAVORITE teacher at Longwood! His lectures are amazing and I would take him again if I could. Was so sad that my class With him is over.
He loves and cares for his students. He is a tough grader but wants the best for them and their writing. He is very approachable and will do anything to help. He adds comments to the papers before he returns them which should be used to improve on future writings. Recommend
Always has the best energy, eager to hear from students during class! Keeps content relevant and lively. Loved this class!
Best professor I have had at Longwood so far. Looked forward to class everyday. Would take any class he teaches again. He truly cares for his students.
Super caring professor. The material wasn't very hard, nor did it take much time, but if you actually do the readings it's difficult not to get a good grade. Tries to involve the whole class. Can be a tough grader but he's a great professor. Would take again and recommend taking as many classes with him as possible.
I absolutely love Professor Taylor. He is so caring, funny, and makes class so interesting. He is one of the best professors I have ever had.
Easily my favorite professor, as a freshman this year he was open and accepting and understanding we were new college students. My highest grade in a class was because he made us want to come to class by making it interesting and carrying an understanding and caring personality.
Professor Taylor is a great professor for Citizen 110. You will have to read almost before every lecture, and will have three presentations for the semester. Every class you will have to write a paragraph on your reading assignment just so he knows you read. No phones are aloud if he sees you on them he will call you out.His lectures are fun!
Dr. Taylor is my absolute favorite professor at Longwood. As long as you do his readings and show up to class, you'll be fine. And keep in mind that you DO need to do the readings. You cannot skimp by without it. But either way, he's an awesome guy and you can really tell he cares about you and your success.
The best professor I have ever had. You can tell he genuinely loves teaching and it makes such a big difference. He makes learning the material so fun/easy. I always look forward to his class. He's so funny, real, and just an amazing human. The format of his class is very consistent, so you always know what to expect. He's always willing to help!!!
I love this teacher, he makes class super enjoyable. He always comes in happy and ready to teach, and the workload is very minimal. He always makes time to help out students when need be and don't be shy to visit his office hours.
All-time favorite professor!! Class is very easy if you do the work. He gives great feedback and advice!
This class is good if you don't mind reading and having a few presentations throughout the year. I'm not the biggest fan of presenting but he makes it a less stressful experience. You'll have to read a good amount for the class. Sometimes it's a poem and sometimes it's a chapter of a book. It's really easy if you do the reading and pay attention.
Words cannot express how amazing Dr. Taylor is. He greatly cares about his students, encourages class participation/discussion, and is passionate about what he teaches. Since he is an ENGL prof, his CTZN course had a more ENGL course approach, but it made the material easier to understand. We had quizzes for each reading, but they were very easy!
Interactive and fun professor. His class schedule is very manageable and grades fairly. Just make sure you do the homework he give because he gives little writing assignments when you walk in.
I would say best professor on campus! He cares, he makes sure your good, you can tell he loves what he teaches. But if you do the littlest thing wrong on one of his papers, he'll mark it wrong, and your grade will change from an A to a C FAST.
He was such a sweet prof he helped me through a really difficult time and was completely understanding of my absences. He worked with me after class hours to get my grade up and prep for my final I ended up passing which saved me so much. Forever appreciative of his time and lectures were always so great and easy to follow/ understand.
Amazing guy, loved this course. Lots of reading but not too bad. His style of teaching really helped me to absorb and understand the materials. Really funny too.
Dr. Taylor is amazing! This class, however, is pretty difficult. There were A LOT of readings (like 20-30 pages due every class). Taylor made it somewhat bearable. Its an awesome class and very informative. Exams are all essays. There's a "quiz" at the beginning of class to make sure you did the reading where you brain dump everything you remember.
Love Taylor very fun class he a chill guy
Absolutely an amazing professor, a decent amount of work. But the way he motivates you do succeed is phenomenal.
love this class but be ready to read for every class!
I had Dr. Taylor for 210 and it was a lot of reading but the books are mostly interesting. He is very encouraging, I picked up a literature minor solely due to his help. I'll also be taking him again for two other classes, so I recommend taking any English you can with him
Dr. Taylor is definitely my favorite English prof. I thought that this was my toughest graded course of his.The grades he gave for the papers were fair, but I found that he graded these stricter than my papers in his other class. The feedback was very helpful, but because the papers are all so different, you cannot apply the feedback.
Took Milton with Dr. Taylor and although I did not think I would like the topic, I ended up enjoying it. Reading responses are given every day so attendance is required for those grades. The tests were not too hard, I just wish he gave more guidance on what topics would be on them. Gave good feedback on any assignments, so that was helpful.
This was my first class with Dr. Taylor and I was surprised to find myself enjoying a religion class! His lectures are class discussions that were entertaining to say the least. It is reading heavy, but you discuss the readings every class so there's time to ask questions if you have them. I would take this class again if I could!!
LOVE! You take five exams, one for each religion, all short written assignments. You read before class, he asks if you read, explains the material, and gives full credit. I'm not very intelligent and hate reading, yet I passed. I love how he runs his class and highly recommend him. Thanks, Dr. Taylor!!!!
Probably the BEST professor at Longwood. Lectures are engaging, and he cares what students have to say about topics. Leaves great responses on grades/essays and suggestions on how to do better. Genuinely wants to share knowledge and help students learn. Exams are open-note note open-book. As long as you read the materials, you're bound to succeed.
