Our class took a capsim simulation. This was a semester long project, and was part of the final. It was relatively easy. But I feel that I learned more about a simulation that business. Very helpful and a great listener. Taking him again for business law.

You can learn quite a bit from him because he has had alot of experience. He just came out of the business world not too long ago so he knows his stuff. Overall though, the class was pretty easy. Just make sure you study for the tests.

Great Teacher! I like his teaching style. No daily quizzes and always goes over the test before and after.

He does a great job of explaining exactly what is needed to do well in the class. I only studied for like 15 minutes for each test and never got worse then a B.

Brother Rhoton was awesome! It was a lot of reading for this class, but totally worth it. I learned so much, and he did such a good job of explaining things so that we all could understand the concepts. Tests were medium difficulty, but he tells you what is going to be on them, so just study! Overall, great teacher! Loved him!

TAKE THIS TEACHER! This class was enjoyable at 8AM... He taught very well. HW was reading. (Which you only need to really skim over) He goes over every test before you take it and tells you exactly what to study. Easy A here! Great teacher, take it!

He teaches with such clarity. Reviews quizzes and test with you. The quizzes combined are the final and he is more than willing to help class. Read, study the power point slides and you'll get an easy A. He is awesome! The homework is light reading, and the quizzes are easy!

Brother Rhoton is a financial guru. His teaching style is so concise and professional yet laid-back at the same time. You will learn tons! How to trade stocks, how to plan for retirement, how to purchase a home, how to file a tax return, etc. etc. etc. This is one of the most informative and applicable classes I have ever taken. This class was a ton of fun! Brother Rhoton has a bit of a sense of humor too so he plays along with jokes. You learn a lot from him and he is super laid-back. No stress!

The quizzes on each unit (every other class period or so) were helpful for the exams. His online powerpoint content was also very helpful for the quizzes and exams.

Bro. Rhoton is awesome! I took his B399 pilot class. After taking Acc201 his class was WAY better. His tests are really HARD (study everything and know it backwards and forwards). But his class activities and homework really help your grade. Lots of quizzes and he is SUPER FUN! He is a great gospel role model and is very respectful.

Brother Rhoton is one of the best teachers that I have had at BYU-Idaho. His teaching style does take some getting used to. You have to learn how to teach yourself, but that is what business is all about. His class is simple: do the work and you'll get the grade. Lots of reading, quizzes, and excel. But he makes it fun!

I took B211 from Bro. Rhoton and it was AWESOME! Bro. Rhoton is an incredible man. He is communicates well, motivates you to live the gospel, and is respectful to students. Brother Rhoton's class was great. It's a great class for students to get their foot in the door for business. There are MANY extra credit opportunities. He does daily quizzes which aren't bad if you have done the reading. Lots of group work! As long as you do your assignments, you'll get an A.

B399 was an amazing class for business students. Brother Rhoton does a very good job of setting expectations. He is also willing to admit if he's messed up and will give extra credit. His exams are pretty tough, but as long as you study hard for them you'll be fine. Daily quizzes, so make sure to do your reading!!

Brother Rhoton was one of the best teachers I've had up here. I took him for B211 and B399. Great guy, very funny, and very lenient on grading. You will work for your grade, but expectations are very clear and assignments are meaningful and pertinent. He is open to questions and (mostly) available outside of class to help.

Rhoton is fair with grading. You can point out spelling errors on quizzes to make up for missing points.

Brother Rhoton is honestly my absolute favorite teacher I have ever had! I think it was partially the fact that I really loved B211 but he also made the class what it was. I wish I could retake the class again just for the experience. I honestly do not have a bad thing to say about him. He grades fairly and you actually learn in his class!

Brother Rhoton is a great teacher! It took a while to learn and understand Capsim but once you get the hang of it, it's fun! Go to the Capsim Labs and it will help! There is a 10 question quiz each class but he usually tells you what to study for it. He makes class and learning about the business world really fun!

Had Bro. Rhoton for IBC. IBC was the toughest thing I have ever done at school, but Bro. Rhoton was the BEST teacher! He knows how to help you motivate yourself. He is very caring and funny. Love him and his family is awesome!

Rhoton is way cool. You have a quiz just about every class but you learn a lot from them. Rhoton also has real world experience too. The group part of the class can be good if you have a solid group. Stay on top of the work and youll do great. Pro tip: his grading system is not weighted. A point is a point.

Brother Rhoton is the best! I loved how he gave the quizzes. There is reading, but not too much. Every unit there is a 10 question quiz. He let us "hedge" our answers. We were able to discuss with anyone in the class after we took the quiz if our answers were correct. He gives out extra credit a ton! I loved it. Wonderful class. Learned SO much!

Gives easy extra credit, quizzes almost every class (that he prepares you for and allows you to get half credit on it if you miss a question so they're nothing to worry about). He changes due dates on assignments and projects to a week later just to make things easier on his students. Such a caring and understanding guy.

I've taken B201 and B211 from Brother Rhoton and give him my highest recommendations! Even though our classes were 1 and half hours long he usually let us out early and made the time there really fun! If he teaches more classes in my major I'd definitely take them.

This class is very group work heavy. You'll have to meet with your group outside of class at least twice a week. The class is difficult at first but there's a learning curve to get over and then it gets easy. There are quizzes every day so you'll not want to miss class. The professor is stern but understanding and reasonable. Great guy.

If you are looking for long boring lectures, don't take his class. Yes there are A LOT of quizzes, but I learn better by doing than just reading. Head-up, the final exam is WAY HARD!

Honestly, B211 is a hard class no matter who you take it with. Brother Rhoton was fun, lively, and understanding. For sure in the top 3 best professors I've had!

Bro. Rhoton puts a lot into teaching. He created videos every week to help. I took it online, so the content is supposed to be already created by the online department, but he made adjustments to try and help us out. He offered extra-credit to make up for some of the harder assignments. The simulation is hard, but Bro. Rhoton is great!

You teach yourself pretty much everything in this class. He roughly explains the process, but it is up to you to figure things out. However, it was not hard to figure out! I actually preferred the freedom to understand and use my own creativity. He was a great professor!

This class is group project-heavy. The majority of the work is as a group in a program called Capsim. It's pretty difficult to learn at first but basically he uses this to teach you hands-on instead of lectures. There is a daily quiz maybe more before class starts. You must understand Capsim to be able to do good on the Final Exam.

Bro Rhoton is good and reasonable. In class quizzes are a piece of cake. Important - You might want to take an accounting class before this. If not, its gonna be tough and you'll have to work hard. If you know accounting well then this class is a piece of cake and does not require much work past the weekly group meetings that last about an hour.

Bro. Rhoton is awesome. He expects you to read (and learn) on your own. I had the remote class, and he did awesome using zoom. Be ready for lots of quizzes, but he lets you help each other. He teaches class like a business leader and expects you to do your own work, not a college professor that is just going to lecture.

There is a quiz on the readings at the beginning of every class period, but you get the chance to change your answers. Would take a class from him again!

He is a great teacher! Very thorough and although there are quizzes nearly every class, he lets you correct wrongs one with a neighbor before you go over it in the class. So not like a typical quiz. He is a very nice guy and would recommend him. This is my first rate my professor and so if you are taking business fundamentals, take it from him.

Brother Rhoton is a great teacher! He does kind of spring things on last minute, but it's not too hard. He finally uploaded grades to canvas on the last week of the semester, so I had no idea how I was actually doing throughout, but it wasn't too hard if you're willing to put in a little work.

He was a really good professor and as long as you attend each class for the quizzes and go to labs/tutoring for the Capsim Simulation you should be able to easily pass this class

Fun class, uses a lot of this program called CapSim, which is a business simulator. I did really well with it because it is like a video game and I do well with competition. Never found myself sleepy in his class, and you'll find out why if you take his class. P.S. tons of extra credit (got 100+) , and there is also a big emphasis on teams.

For one thing, Brother Rhoton knows his stuff. He doesn't teach things he hasn't put into practice himself. Every assignment we did there was a clear purpose for, and he was flexible with due dates and with controversial answers. I highly recommend taking him! You won't regret it.

Most of the class is based on a program called Capsim (business simulation). He made a pretty challenging class very enjoyable and helped me learn a lot about how to run a successful business.

He was an awesome teacher. I loved taking this course from him! His canvas is a little confusing and he doesn't always give the clearest expectations but he will help you with anything. There is a lot of group work all with a group picked in the first week, so pick a good group!

I liked Brother Rhoton a lot. He always found ways to invite the spirit and connect business functions to the gospel. The course itself was difficult because of Capsim, so choose your group wisely. There are quizzes every day, so you have to show up even though attendance is not graded. The quizzes and the exams were really easy.

The class is very heavily based on the Capsim simulation so there is a ton of group work. There's an in-class quiz pretty much every day but they're easy because he lets you hedge your answers after talking to your classmates. Last half of the class you go over different jobs in the business field which is boring if you've already picked your major

Rhoton gave weekly feedback on Capsim - which was somewhat useful. The course is going to be what you make it, so go in ready to achieve and you'll do just fine.

Brother Rhoton is awesome. I hate the quizzes we have to take almost every morning. As long as you study your stuff it's not hard at all. Most of the work is through capsim and then a couple of assignments that aren't very hard. Just ask lots of questions to him and you team when you don't understand the simulation and it's pretty easy.

At first I did not love Br. Rhoton. The class sometimes did not respect him and was a little bit too rowdy, but by the end of the semester I was glad I took this class from him. He is thoughtful and engaging. CAPSIM is kinda stressful at first but don't worry too much. Lots of group work! But I had lots of good memories with my group members.

Capsim is super confusing at first but then after a little bit it makes sense. Make sure to go to the lab to get help. We took a quiz at the start of every class but it wasn't too hard. You do lots of group work so make sure to choose a good group. He was a great professor and keep class interesting.

Just a really fun teacher to have. Very present in class and willing to adapt his teaching and course to meet the needs and feedback of the students. Offers opportunities to get points back. Definitely the teacher for this class. It is frustrating understanding capsim but by the end of the semester you get the hang of it with the right group. Go to the labs, TAs can be helpful. This class can be difficult if you don't understand Capsim; his teaching style might not be for everyone as it's very hands-on; he "throws you into the deep end," and it worked out great for me. PICK A GOOD GROUP they are everything.

He is a great guy. His teaching style is more of throwing you into the deep end and having you figure it out type of thing. At first, it is VERY stressful and frustrating. But as time goes on things do start to get much easier. He ALWAYS offers extra credit which is very nice. Was a tough class at first, but I'm glad I stuck with it!

You will have quizzes at the beginning of class and the first quiz we had I failed and I thought this was going to be such a difficult class but it's actually so easy and really fun! On the last day of class he brought a bunch of food for all of us! Honestly its the funnest class I think I have ever taken!

The class is tough at first, but worth sticking with it. The professor uses an engaging, hands-on approach with group work and CAPSIM simulations. unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for exam prep.

I really loved this professor and this class - He had hands-on activities and did a great job of answering questions. Warning - the beginning is stressful and slightly overwhelming but if you stick to it, it ends up being a great class. He throws you in the deep end of Capsim, but if you go to the labs and ask several questions you'll do just fine.

Even thought the class was a little stressful, Bro. Rhoton was awesome! He provided weekly videos that helped us understand how each team was doing. His videos even included help on doing the assignments. I had a teammate that complained a lot, but they never watched the videos and rarely showed up for our team meetings. Great class.

Hands down, this was the BEST class I have taken at BYU-I. Bro. Rhoton is an amazing instructor. He is so motivating. The class is not a traditional class, more like a real job. Lots of in class quizzes, but I started loving the quizzes. The simulation was hard at first, but now I want to do it again. Don't procrastinate and you will do well.

Almost every class begins with a quiz, but it never felt like a burden because after we wrote our answers, he would let us collaborate with teams to change them for half credit. Overall, he is very passionate about what he teaches and I would diffidently take a class from him again.

Classwork is very easy to do; all materials are handed out in the first couple of weeks and are practiced throughout the rest of the semester. CapSim is a must in order to do well, so if you are not able to pick up those skills quickly, it will be difficult to have a fair grade. Overall, great professor, the classroom was met with warm energy.
