This guy was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He is one of the best teachers I've had.Always helped students out if they went to him I actually looked forward to going to his class at night. He is funny at times and keeps people awake with his lectures.

Schreck is a good man. He makes it clear that his class is not a joke and it isn't. You WILL learn alot and he is one of the best teachers I've ever had and I have a degree from a Top 50 school in the country

This is a very knowledgeble guy. He incorporates real life experiences to Political Science in many ways. Man...and his jokes, lol, he knows more about MTV than i do. But he is hard and challenges you. His essay tests r no joke...really hard! but doable.

He's a very good teacher. He's funny, although his MTV refernces are limited to P*mp My Ride. He relates what is going on in the news with politics. The class is relevant and what he's talking about is easy to understand. The tests are inclass essays. They are easy to pass if you pay attention.

Guy is VERY sharp, knows his stuff, sometimes I felt he was assuming we knew a lot more about politics than we actually did. Essay tests are no joke and will kick your butt if you don't prepare well. He comes off as kind of cold and unapproachable but after you get to know him, he's really nice. Kind of cute too, but I've always had strange tastes-

He is one of the nicest teachers, and he knows what he is talking about. Make sure you take all of the notes on the board, they are a big help. The essay tests are mainly on your notes, so just study them. He makes the class really interesting!

If you have no knowledge about Government take this teacher, he is an awesome teacher. Take notes, read the summary at the end of each unit, participate, and you will succeed in this class. He is very helpful and willing to help if you ask for help. Tests are essays but if you pay attention and take notes you will be fine.

If you don't feel like studying a lot of material for the test DON'T TAKE HIM!!! The exams are your only grades! If you do bad you fail the course. He is hard and I don't understand how students could rate him as a good teacher! He is knowledgeable but his teaching style is horrible! Would not recommend him if you hate government classes!

By far my favorite techer i ever had. Very cool and down to earth. Funny and nice...will help you if you need it. Very passionate about politics and his job. He is also very clear when he explains things in class...also gives away "faboulus" (not valuable?) prizes at the end of class....what else could you want?

Took online class for the summer. EXTREMELY easy and low work load as compared to my other classes. Five Quizzes and one final. Quizzes are about 15-20 questions and you have one week to complete them and email them. One two page paper of your review of a local website. Absolutely loved loved loved this teacher. IMPOSSIBLE not to get an A

I had mr.schreck during the fall "09",he is a very understanding teacher when it comes to the material. As long as u come to class & show some effort,also he gives out extra credit to help pull up your grade. I didnt think that i was going to pass the class but all that extra work paids off in the end, he gave me a B. he truly is a great teacher!!!

Easiest 4 wk class. 1 test per week. Open book,open notes & internet search is allowed on test. We watched 3 movies & had to answer a question in a 1-2 pg summary. We did an internet scavenger hunt, find answers to random question. Every week you need to answer 4 questions he post on his blog(min 3 sentences)TAKE GOOD NOTES & YOU WILL GET AN A.

This online class was pretty easy. It involved some writing, but he explains how everything is graded ahead of time. He wrote his own book for the class too. I enjoyed this class. My first online class.

My God... if you have a brain and aren't a monosyllabic mouth-breather you will love this class. Granted we're talking about moraine valley. Schreck is awesome, and if you show up and just show that you have the ability to be cognitively aware you'll enjoy it. I would gladly take another class with him. It was awesome.

Amazing teacher! He makes his lectures as interesting as possible. He has an interesting sense of humor that you will learn to laugh at. There were 2 exams and a final. All three open book and open note. The third was a take home and you email it to him. (you have about a week) DEFINITELY taking his second history class.

Dr Schreck has been hands down my favorite professor so far! Hes hilarious and connects politics with every day scenarios to help clarify things. There are no tests but we did have 4 assignments where watched documentaries and wrote a one page paper on it. The midterm and final had only three questions you had to answer

This is an easy class to get an A. You watch a few videos and have to tweet to get credit. This class makes you have a twitter and 20% of your grade comes from tweets. Two quiz's and they are take home. Schreck is funny and outgoing. You could miss a few days. No attendance points. Midterm was easy. This class is a must if you want a good grade.

He's a great professor. I was in danger of failing his class because I missed the midterm online, however because of his absence, he completely understood and re-opened the exam until the end of the week, allowing me to pass the class with a low A. I took this an online class, and it was the least stressful class I've ever taken. This online course is very organized, the assignments are very simple, and he's great as responding. However, you need to use twitter, allow him to follow you as you follow him so you can post. It's fairly easy and the tests/final is online as well. Easy A+

Overall, i would reccomend Prof. Schreck. The only issue i had was that his online assignments were a tad disorganized. Sometimes i wouldnt even know i had an assignment due. However, he was always more than willing to work with me, and his assignments were straightforward and easy. Would recommend for anyone that needs this class.

I had professor Schreck for intro to political science. As long as you show up and take good notes, you will be prepared for any quiz or test that he gives. We have weekly quizzes (5 questions) that are open note/book (we can even use the Internet). The midterm is three questions, and STUDENTS choose the topics on there.

He gives interesting lectures and is able to cover seemingly boring topics in a manner that makes it memorable. Weekly small quizzes (taken online), and few big in class assignments that are given throughout the semester and if you miss one of these it will tank your grade.

Mr. Schreck is amazing! He is funny and his lectures are not boring. There are two movies you watch and you have to answer a question. Every week you have a Twitter post, which all you have to do is reply to any of his tweets. His quizzes, midterm, and final are all online.

I took Professor Schreck's class in the Fall of 2019. Notes are provided in class on the board. His lectures are relevant and he is funny. Twitter is essential, small responses to political topics. The textbook is online, and the quizzes and exams are all online with open note. Sometimes we got to leave class early. Cool guy and very knowledgeable!

A GPA boost class. You will not regret taking this course. Weekly 5 point quizzes and like 4 other simple assignments through the semester. Midterm was the same as the quizzes and if you keep you A, the final is optional. Also, any mussed work you are able to make up the last week of school. He is a really great guy :)

This is the 3rd class that I have taken with Dr. Schreck. I waited until the on-campus class reopened. You would do better taking Dr. Schreck in class rather than online. He enjoys teaching in front of a classroom, instead of a computer screen. Don't do yourself a disservice and take his class online because you will lose out.

Professor was easy to follow class was self explanatory. There are a few discussion boards but nothing too crazy. Test are easy to comprehend, especially if you have browsed through chapter readings, or have prior knowledge. Government can be scary, but this class was fun and offers you knowledge that occurs in current times and past pretenses.

Fun class. Lectures were a little lengthy, but Dr. Schreck is very entertaining and makes the lectures something you want to be apart of. Took him for American National Government. Simple class, do your work, discussion, and assignments were easy to keep up with. The best part about his class is that if you miss something he will give you a chance to make it up as long as you communicate with him. Would take him again!

We meet once a week and his lectures are always interesting and easy to follow. Homework assignments are usually easy to understand and complete. Quizzes are fairly easy sometimes the questions on the quizzes are difficult to answer. I would recommend this class to anyone who is interested in Political Science. Very likeable

Dr. Schreck is phenomenal! I was already interested in politics before taking his class. After taking it, I've now decided to major in Political Science myself! His lectures are great. His sense of humor is great. The quizzes are easy. He really wants the class to participate & have discussion which I loved! I highly recommend this class to anyone!

He was a very down to earth guy. Very easy class with not much homework. The group project was pretty fun and all quizzes were taken at home. I would take him again.

This is a very straightforward class, every week, he would post the slides for each chapter for you to read and study, and then you had a quiz. He usually posts the quizzes Friday afternoon, or even Saturday sometimes, and they are due on Sunday. I found that some of the questions on the quizzes weren't covered in the slides but it wasn't that bad

I took HIS 201 ONLINE if you want an easy A take him. You have to read the textbook, Quizlet is very helpful for this course. His quizzed are graded automatically and he answers email in a timely manner.

Super easy going. Has a late work policy of 10% deduction each day assignment is late, but doesn't use it if you don't abuse it. Open book quizzes every week. I took the accelerated class and it was still super easy going. One open ended midterm. As long as you do the work, you pass with an A.

Take his class! His lectures are very interesting and usually not too long. We had a semester long group project that was actually a lot of fun. His assignments are very straight forward and simple as long as you follow directions. However, I would check your announcements before every class, because he would cancel with short notice sometimes.

Professor Schreck was a great professor. His assignments were very easy and simple. He was very caring and kind and did a great job at responding questions. As an online class though, I wish he had a monthly agenda, so make sure you are checking due dates every week. Other than that, he was a great professor.

Professor Schreck is a lecture style teacher who is HILARIOUS. Take my word for it. In order to do well on tests, you need to be a good note taker. In addition, he offers lots of fun extra credit.
