he teaches good and gives lots of extra credit. lets you use calculator book and notes on tests .

He is a very good teacher that helps you. You do all homework on mymathlab and lets you take quiz 3x and test 4x. He drops 1 low quiz/test grade and 2 low homework grades.

Very nice guy. Will help you in any way that he can. Math is my weakest subject, but with him, he makes you feel like it's a cake walk.

Easy class for ppl who are not so good at math. he makes it to where you really have to want to fail to fail his class. dont waist ur money buying a book everything is done online and he is truly a sweet heart and as helpful as he can be. take his class you wont regret it.

He's a great instructor! He goes through the lessons clearly. He cares for his students. His reply to emails are almost instantaneous. His quizes and tests are pretty straightforward if you come to class and do the homework regulary. I wished he taught College Algebra, would take him again in a heartbeat. Mr. Dunn is the ABSOLUTE BEST MATH TEACHER HERE AT LONESTAR! If you can't pass his class, you need to go back to elementary school! He spends the whole class going over each chapter, writing on board, answering questions, etc. He gives the MOST EXTRA credit/assistance than any teacher I have ever had. Mr. Dunn is a great instructor. The book is not required as there is a link through the MyMathLab that is required and there are powerpoint notes and worksheets. He gives extra credit assgn and gives multiple chances for higher grades on test/quizzes. Lots of homework because he believes the more you practice, the more you learn. Very easy going!

I LOVE MR. DUNN!!! He is the nicest man you can ever run into. He is very very patient. Math is not my subject and he will stop what he is doing and make sure you get it. Mr. Dunn was a great teacher, he made it fun in class and was extremely helpful when the class was having a hard time on a section. The coursework was easy so long as you did your homework and paid attention in class. Definitely would recommend him.

He's really nice and very helpful if you ask but the class seemed useless bc you can learn everything on MyMathLab. If you do ALL your homework and make sure you do well on your tests (which are normally open note and you can get 2-3x to try), you'll do well. He won't drop you if you have a good grade but attend most of the classes at least.

I HATE math!! He is the best teacher EVER. Everything is in My Math Lab. He gives you a chance to take the exams 3 times each. Must do all the homework. Easy class. He seriously needs to teach College Algebra!!

I'll make this simple. All of his tests are on MyMathLab except one. Everything is on MyMathLab. I took him for Saturdays 8-12 ish, but we would get out around 11. I didn't mind the hours because he was a really good teacher and easy! I suck at math, so he helped bring my math up a lot. I also didn't go EVERY Saturday, but still caught up!

The prior classes Math 0306 & 0308 really helped towards this class. That said, Mr Dunn is an incredible teacher. He was easy to follow and gave clear instructions. I would highly recommend Mr Dunn. A great all round instructor!!

Professor Dunn is awesome do your homework online and you will be good. Also his test are on the computer and sometimes there are examples for the problems to follow.

He's a nice guy, but you can tell he's still getting adjusted to teaching. Sometimes he would get stumped by his own questions which seemed a little off putting, but he will sit down with you and go over anything you need help with. Overall, he's a great teacher. Just be patient with him as he'll be patient with you.

TAKE HIM! I took him for 0310. I sucked at math, but Mr. Dunn was very patient and helpful. He works out the problems on the board. You have daily quizes that you can work in a group, 2 or 3 quizes on my math lab, and the final. If you do your homework you'll pass his class. I highly recommend taking him!

Mr. Dunn is a VERY nice guy! He is super easy to understand and writes out the problems on the board. He uses MathLab and you have 3 quizzes online, and the rest are during class, over the problems he went over on the board. I hate math, but recommend him to anyone, because he made it easier to learn!

There is no possible way to fail this class. With everything he gives you and always you to use is awesome! The hw, quizzes and tests can be take multiple times to get the highest grade possible. Great teacher and a great class!

Such a wonderful eperience. He takes time to explain each problem. He gives reviews for the tests. Allows you to use notes depending on how hard the section is. He writes everything step by step on the board. He is really nice and will work with you to ensure your success. By far my favorite math Professor.

Mr. Dunn is by far one of the best teachers I have encountered. He keeps his class interested and motivated. He is great at explaining things, even if it means going over it 10 times :) If you signed up for his class you'll do great as long as you show up and participate and do your work.

I kind of got annoyed that he will literally break things to the simplest terms for the dumbest people in the class, he will repeat things if you need. Dropped 0310 in the Spring w/ Lane thumbs down. Taking Dunn now Fall. Best decision! Able to take three pages of notes in test and he gives one retake chance within 7 days if you need it. Saturday class 8-4 easy take notes for testing. Do all your HW on MML. You get auto 100 for going to class. Able to miss up to 3 classes w/o affect grade.

He is the BEST math teacher at LSC-UP! I dropped this class last semester but decided to take it with Prof Dunn on a recommendation from a friend. BEST DECISION. Notes are allowed in testing, you can either test in class or proctored, its up to you. He treats his students like adults and there is no pressure from him, its all up to you. take him!

Professor Dunn is an awesome professor. He has a great sense of humor and is there for his students and wants everyone to succeed. One caveat: If you skip class, you won't pass. He allows notes to be used during tests which are a great benefit, so take good notes! Also do the online homework and you'll be fine.

I'm sure his weekday class is good but the Saturday class was somewhat rushed due to meeting only once per week. The Saturday class usually didn't start on time. If you do take him, please take the during-the-week class. According to Mr Dunn, the other class scored much better. Cheers.

I am still currently in his class and i can say this is by far the easiest math class, I withdrew from two and so far in class I have an A. He cares about his students and motivates you to do better he is awesome you will NOT regret taking him.

Plain and simply put if I could ask for my money back I would. I came here to learn and he is all over the place. He gets lost on the board and gets frustrated when you ask questions. Im usually an A student but I literally had to go home and watch ALL the author in action videos. If you have higher math classes to take choose someone else!

Take him if want to learn college algrebra he make it super easy, i was horrible in math and always had a fear but professor made it super easy. Great professor you must take him period.

Dont give up, he gives Many opportunities to bring your grade up. I hate a C average and I was able to bring my grade up to an A. He lets you work ahead on the homework or work on it after the due date which helps your grade a ton. He really wants his students to pass with a good grade. Dont stop coming to class evening if you have a bad grade.

Professor Dunn is hands down one of the best instructors that I've had during my time in college. He goes into detail when he explains things and also gives handouts that are very useful so you can study for the exams and quizzes. Homework isn't overwhelming and is doable if you pay attention in class. Overall I would definitely take him again.

Professor Dunn explains alegebraic equations very well. Ive always had a hard time in math, but I took him for 0310 and 1314 and was able to understand math finally. I definitely recommend taking him.

I was really nervous for this class due to not being in school for five years. Professor Dunn teaches in a practical way and uses mymathlab for all of the course assignments. If you pay attention and do the homework, you will pass. The tests are exactly like the class work and study guides. READ THE WHOLE SYLLABUS ! You'll thank me later.

Nice guy. But if you have a other classes beware. There is a lot of extra work including quizzes that make it difficult to schedule inbetween other classes. I had to drop. Jugglers that aren't great at this subject will struggle to keep up with the work load.

Having to retake algebra again , I decided to take professor Dunn. And he has guided me to success and far much more than my previous professor! His lectures teach the material very well and his homework teaches you everything you need to know for the upcoming test. Very understanding and caring professor. Guaranteed the best at LSC.

Professor Dunn is an excellent professor who is dedicated in teaching his students all there is to know. Only thing i did not like was that it was a 3 hour class on a Saturday but for one day a week it is totally worth it. He gives extra credit which can help improve your grade and all of the quizzes and homework are done in mymathlab.

I took Professor Dunn for College Algebra Summer 1 online and he was a great professor. His class is very simple, weekly homework and quizzes over said chapters, as well as 3 Exams and 1 Final (the exams are exactly like the study guide he provides). He responds to emails very quickly as well, I definitely recommend taking this professor.

I'm not the best at math but thanks to him i've gotten much better at it. All of our homework was on mymathlab which were all due a month later. He let us use our notes for the test which was super helpful and since my class was at night he released us early every time :)

I'm horrible at math and this was my third time taking college algebra and the other professors taught the same way and graded differently, but Professor Dunn teaches in a way that's easier to understand. He was awesome and I have already enrolled in his statistics class. Would highly recommend taking him.

Hands down best math professor I have ever taken!! This is my second time taking algebra and the first time I failed miserably with an F. This time I passed with an A. Goes to show you it has to do with the professor you get. Test are just like review. Tests are 45%, Quiz 25%, HW 10%. Take him if math is not your strongest subject.

Loved the class. Professor was accessible when you needed to ask questions. There is a lot of homework but manageable and make sure to go over the reviews for test. The reviews are somewhat identical to the exams. I would immediately choose him as a professor again if he taught a math class other than just college algebra. Amazing professor!!!

He not once thought it was a good idea to actually teach his students considering this is a difficult course thats being taken online due to Covid 19, which makes it even harder. Professor Dunn was awesome! He's very caring about his students passing. He allows 2 pages worth of notes on exam days. He provides handouts for his lectures and goes through each problem on the handouts to help with homework. Even during COVID he still worked out problems throughly and recorded his lectures. In his online class, you work at your own pace. I didn't struggle with this class at all. Everything was om mymathlab and there is enough time to get your work done. I would recommend him for anything math related.

Professor Dunn is a gem. He truly explains the work to you and breaks things down where it's easily understood. However, he tends to become neglectful of his class. He started off posting lectures and was great, but he suddenly stopped. Now he only updates quiz dates and exams. He no longer responds to emails outside of homework help. Hope he's ok.

When he teaches, he's fantastic, but aside from emailing quiz dates, he did not respond to emails and didn't post lectures after the first week of September. It was very difficult to take a class w/o instruction and felt lost most of the time. I hope he's okay but I wish he had communicated so we could have opted for another professor.

16WK Class-Prof Dunn started off posting AMAZING lectures and that was great, but he suddenly stopped after chpt3! I didn't struggle much with this class since you can work at your own pace, but sometimes I'll get confused with some of the questions and really wished he'd have posted the other 2 remaining chapters but other than that very easy A!

so lenient and understanding. took a regular session in person, attendance is mandatory and graded, just show before he takes roll. always pushes deadlines. everything is on ALEKS. 4 exams and a final, 20 questions and you get two attempts. 2-3 chapters per unit, 4 units in total with 10-30 topics in each. nothing bad to say. great prof, super easy

He was a great guy. He spent a lot of time on easy concepts and very little on the most difficult. He was very unorganized. We ran out of time to take the U4 test so we had to do it at home. NO EXTRA CREDIT! He responded to emails but didn't answer all questions. Rushed and few explanations. I'd take again if I had to.Very difficult class.

I don't usually write reviews but this is hands down the best and easiest online course I've ever taken. Everything on MyMathLab no proctoring. Procrastinators (myself included) - this course is definitely for you, he had a clear schedule of due dates but ended up making everything due on the last day. Take him, this guy is too goated.

He was the best professor, accessible classes and videos loved taking his math class; one secret he hid in Syllabus. If you find it, he will give extra credit for it. Highly recommended professor.

BEST PROFESSOR! If you are a slacker, take his class. Don't slack too much tho because the subject itself is hard towards the end, but if you study you will be straight. I literally wasn't about to pass his class and I managed to get a B for trigonometry. For exams, He lets you have a sheet of notes you want to have for the exams. I 1000% RECOMMEND

He makes math much simpler and tries to narrow down all of the junk which is nice. He struggles with time management but doesn't make the student suffer for his faults.

If you are taking1316's 6-week mini online, I wouldn't! This class was very time consuming as it was hard. The test reviews hardly helped with the tests, also I'm not really sure what this professor even looks like... All of the lectures are from another guy's website, not him teaching. As well as an automated grading system through My Math Labs..

Lectures explain everything well and anything unclear you can use the examples in Pearson+ to understand. However, Prof Dunn is very hard to get a hold of. I emailed him a couple times with questions and aside from my first email, I did not hear back from him at all. Seems like a great guy and the class went well, just wish he would reply.

Beware of professor! Don't have a question or do not understand a problem because he will NOT respond to emails! Don't let me get started with Examity! It takes at least 15 to 20 minutes just to get through their security check, I feel bad for you if you suffer from testing anxiety. Please, DO NOT TAKE HIM if u value your grades!!!!

Professor Dunn is a kind man and his class is pretty simple. You do need to make sure you stay on top of things, thats just how math works. Dunn is willing to work with you and has an extra credit assignment as well. He is a bit unorganized and we had to reschedule tests a few times. It was a bit frustrating but I understand things happen.

Very test heavy and tests are extensive your grade depends on them. While extra credit is offered, it is hard to get, and is given with little notice to when you learn how to do it. He tends to ramble in class a lot and falls behind in the class a lot. While he's not a bad teacher he is not a good one.

Save ur time and ur money, pick another professor if ur thinking ab taking this class online. He says the textbook isn't needed, but what he doesn't tell you is his video lectures are explaining only the textbook unit..NOTHING ab the actual hw on persons. Without the textbook, his videos make no sense at all. Also no communication w class ever!

DO NOT take this class unless you are really into the subject matter and enjoy teaching yourself the material. The Professor is unorganized and moves test dates around constantly. He has no clue what is in the online homework and gives out paper homework+Pearson assignments. He spends the whole class on 1-2 problems and rambles through them.

Find a different Professor for this course!!! He takes FOREVER to grade the take-home quizzes, and NEVER responds unless you call His cellphone a bajillion times. The tests are very lengthy, and not over the same material that he lectures on. This class was nothing but stress and a waste of my time and money.

This class was nearly impossible to follow. There are 5 tests weighted heavily with notes allowed, but the dates for the tests were constantly changing. His lectures only focused on a couple of core problems leaving you to figure out the rest. He is mostly unresponsive to emails and takes a long time to give back grades on homework if he ever does

The class had a normal amount of homework, one assignment, and a take-home quiz per topic covered. The lectures are kind of all over the place, with lots of tangents and rambling. He dose not utilize D2L and the notes and PowerPoints are not available online. The material is extremely easy, and I basically learned it from the my lab math homework.

He is super behind, we had tests 3 weeks in a row in the last 3 weeks of the semester because he was so behind. He doesn't answer emails, and doesn't get the test reviews out until a day before the test sometimes. The tutors were better at teaching the material than he was. PLEASE find a different professor if you value your sanity and education.

I was deceived by his rating on Rate My Professor. He's so unorganized it hurts, and he simply does not have the gift of teaching. The only reason I succeeded in this class was because it is an easier math class. I wouldn't recommend him at all, but I will admit that he is very lenient with some due dates. My whole class agreed that he was not it.

Tests 50 percent of the grade. Quizzes 20 percent. 3 test/8 quizzes/ about 5 homework assignments per unit (8 units). He uses Examity for tests, which sucks. If you lose an internet connection while taking a test/quiz, you brick the course until he fixes it (12 days for me). He doesn't do anything himself and 1 test is not based on the content.

The most unorganized professor I've ever had. Did not respond to a SINGLE email the entire semester. Doesn't know the material himself. Was told we'd have a review for every test by him but didn't receive it until the day before OR not at all. Very test and homework heavy. Either find a new professor or spend every day after class with tutor.

Terrible teacher avoid if possible! He offers little to no help, and it's clear he doesn't care about his students. I'm baffled by how he has so many good reviews because my experience was the complete opposite. Expect weekly homework assignments, but don't expect any support or clarification from him.

He is one of the nicest teachers I have ever had; he's caring and funny, but I don't think he's that good at teaching. MyLab Math examples helped me more than he did, which makes me sad to say, considering he's so sweet. Take his class if you want a nice teacher and like teaching yourself. if you are someone who can not work without a deadline, organized class dont bother taking it. The subject is easy. He doesnt really respond to emails, doesnt give any announcements, it is a self effort class. It was so confusing in the beginning, but you will get used to it. Took him during the summer for Pre- Cal and got an A. With that being said it hurts me to say that his teaching style is lazy, lacks depth and even unclear at times. I would NOT take him again. I suggest if you are stuck with him, use his office hours to go over problems you don't yet understand because he will go more in depth.

Very chill guy. Had explanation videos that were useful, but I relied on the Pearson "teach me how" feature. Read the syllabus CAREFULLY!!!!. I took the 6-week summer course and did well for someone who's ok at math. Mostly everything in the course (99%) is on Pearson, so all tests, quizzes, and assignments were available and at your own pace.

If you at all struggle with math do not take this professor. Never once answered a single email, uses old pre-recorded lectures, skips topics, relies only on MyLabMath, and has a completely disorganized schedule. Had to drop the class because there is 0 support. A waste of time and money.
