Dr Desai has an amazing learning group leader, Hieu Vu. Thanks to his dedication, even though I receive a C in my first test, I have successfully passed this class with A. Attending his tutoring session is one of the best investments I have ever made.

If you want to succeed in this class, go for tutoring sessions. His name is Hieu, the most dedicated tutor I have ever since. Even though I received a C for my first exam, he encouraged me to move on and try my best. Thanks to Hieu, I have to make a miracle that happened.

In the first couple of weeks, I am kinda lost due to the pace of the class. Thanks to our learning group leader, Hieu, I start to keep pace with the material. In test 2, I am really surprised that we had a comprehensive review session which help me get my first A. To wrap up, the material is hard and tutoring is a must if you want A.

Had Dr. Desai for Intro to Managerial Accounting and he was awesome! The nature of the course material isn't easy, but he can explain it well and in layman terms. From my experience, he was always willing to help if asked.

I took Dr. Desai's Professional Research course a few years ago and after a few years working in public accounting I can honestly say that no other course prepares you for a career in accounting like this one. You will learn how to research accounting guidance, write memos, and present your position all of which are valuable skills on the job.

Dr. Desai made managerial accounting understandable and applicable. You get a test retake and the course is weighted at the end. All test material is throughly discussed with no surprises. He is quick and thorough to respond to homework questions. There is a project assignment but it is done in three parts with good feedback done at each part.

Dr. Desai is an overall great professor. This course is challenging to many students, but if you put in a valiant effort, you will receive a good grade. Dr. Desai is very informative and keeps you updated on due dates. The course has a very heavy work load, and tests are difficult. However, it is designed for you to do well if you take your time on assignments, pay attention to feedback, and review lectures before exams. Recorded lectures helped me significantly in exam prep.

Dr. Desai is very very nice. It is hard to hate accounting when he is your teacher. However, he just stands in front of a powerpoint and says acronyms and points to things with a laser pointer so it is hard to learn. He teaches very fast. But Dr. Desai is so kind that I would take him again for anything and he curves final grades.

This course is packed full and difficult if not given the time it deserves! However, Dr.Desai delivers every PowerPoint on each chapter clearly and with passion making it easy to learn if you do want to! The grade is weighted using a company analysis project, exams, homework, quizzes and attendance which just rewards hard work and commitment!

This class is not an easy A but Dr. Desai is a great professor. I learned a ton from this class. Pay attention and participate in class and you have a much better chance at making a good grade.

A challenging, but ultimately fair class. If you work hard, take good notes, actively participate, and show enthusiasm for research, you will do well. Dr. Desai is a great professor. Definitely attend class! He gives hints on what is on the quizzes and walks you through how to do the ICs. The quizzes come from the PowerPoint slides. If you study those, the quizzes are not too hard. Come to class and participate, and you should be fine.

His class is interesting. He has a clear grading criterias. students can completely get the homework score, attendence score and paper score. If you wan to get a high exam score, study more. Another tips for you guy is, exams are all multiple choice including calculation problems which worth 5 point, review more, then you will get perfect grade.

Strategic Accounting Technologies II provides valuable insight into modern accounting technologies such as Alteryx and Python. Dr. Desai is invested in the success of his students throughout the course. This course provides students with the opportunity to gain certifications to add to their resume. I recommend taking this course and Dr. Desai!

Professor Desai is the best professor to take managerial accounting with. He will make sure you understand the material before proceeding to future chapters. Make sure to understand the concepts because this is what your grade is mostly based off of. Tests are open note so make sure to not only have your notes with you but understand them also.

It was my first time learning Alteryx and Python but he made it easier for everyone to understand. I started his class without knowledge of Alteryx and Python but became an expert in Alteryx. The final project also sharpened our skills.

As this semester was beginning, I was applying for A&AS, and Dr Desai made every effort to ensure that I was not falling behind since I could not regularly attend lectures. Dr Desai worked with me when many other professors would not have been as caring as Dr Desai was. One of the best professors that I have had at A-State.

Dr. Desai is super friendly and helpful in and out of class. Although the material for the course is difficult, Dr. Desai provides extra grading opportunities to help students struggling with exams. He also posts recordings of classes online, making it easy to refresh for exams. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Desai's courses.

Attendance is a grade but not mandatory. You learn a lot by attending class and reviewing slides. He is one of the BEST professors at A-State. He cares for each of his students and will go to great lengths to ensure you have everything to you need. He will do his best to help with any struggles within his course but also outside of his course.

Most of your grade will come from homework and quiz scores, which you will get multiple tries on, and the tests are fairly easy as long as you do the other assignments. Dr. Desai is very detailed in his lectures, making the course easy to understand. I would take this professor again!

Dr Desai is a well respected instructor between the student. He sets clear guidelines on expectations for his class. He expects a high level of learning from students but he makes sure students have everything they need to prepare. He is always willing to help students in need and we learnt a lot about automating datasets as well as basic coding.

Professor provides a practical and hands on approach for this course with lots of practice work and assignments which provides one with the necessary skill for some analytical tools. This course made me develop an interest in analytics of which I intend to further pursue.

The course material was a little difficult but Desai helps you every step of the way. He also gives extra credit for taking certification exams. No homework and only 3 take home quizzes. Big group project over Alteryx that is due at the end of the semester but be sure to start working on it early.
