Professor DJ is awesome. A great teacher and he is very well at helping out students. Due to his help he helped me pass this class. Professor DJ was definetely one of my favorite teachers I have had in the two years I have attended at Tcc Northwest campus.

Mr. DJ is a fair teacher. He understands most of us have little interest or background in art, so as long as you complete the assignments and he can tell you put a little effort into them he grades you well. Reviews given for exams and as long as you do assignments and go over the review should be an easy A.

I originally was not looking forward to taking an art appreciation course. I viewed it as one of those classes you just have to get through. After having Mr. DJ though, I am glad I had to take it. Passing this course is a breeze as long as you are willing to put forth a little effort and do the work. I would definitely recommend Mr. DJ.

Art was so boring in high school, but I came into Mr.Dj class art seems interesting that all of these artist and painters have a god giveing talent that they can make someting bland and make it into something interesting, i also like that every class we take about 20 min to draw whatever you like and like that. and judge on what you draw.

Professor DJ is very dedicated art professor. His course is very clear cut and to the point, but also very interactive and draws you in to the material. The way he presents the material is very interesting and entertaining helping you retain the maximum information possible. Overall changed the way I see art forever.

Prior to taking art appreciation my friends said it's a drag...but they just weren't lucky enough to have Mr. DJ! The tests are simple as long as you attend class, follow the notes, and study the power point reviews. I enjoy the class and have learned a lot. I love that you learn of cultures from all over the world throughout history.

Mr. DJ is awesome! I love this class because he's so interactive and lets everyone speak their mind (even if we are wrong). I was not at all excited about taking this class at the beginning but now I actually look forward to this class every day. Also, he dresses fabulous.

Mr. Dhananjaya not only has a pretty cool last name, he also is a very interesting teacher as we'll. I remember the first day of this class where Mr. Dhananjaya said don't be afraid to prove me wrong, influence me into believing what you see. His lessons are not only very informational but he also provides great help anytime. I enjoyed this class.

DJ is overall a good teacher, he may not always explain the projects very well or clear, but his grading is pretty fair. As long as he can tell you put effort into the class and projects, he grades accordingly. The tests are very easy as long as you go over the power point and pay attention in class. I didn't want this class at first, but as I got into the class D.J made me want to attend class and learn. He is very knowledgeable about art and his passion for art shows in his teaching.

Do not doubt about taking Art Appreciation 1301 with Professor D.J Perera. Besides having a very interesting class, he has much knowledge being an artist himself. Art Appreciation is a perfect Maymester class for me. I've taken several Art History classes and Mr. DJ speaks intelligently and clearly about the importance of art in culture and the differences between artists and their chosen methods of composition. I highly recommend him, especially if you dread not having a clue in this class.

Awesome teacher! He is VERY knowledgeable and fun. He makes class very interesting. For a long 8am class I actually stay awake and enjoy coming to class. You will learn a lot regardless of your interest in art. As long as you study you should make a good grade in his class. Also he gives you tons of extra credit and is always available.

Personally, i did not have any real interest in learning Art. However, the professor was GREAT. He was on time to class,prepare for his lecture and interactive with the class. DJ is one of those professors you hope for when you sign up for a class. He is very knowledgeable and approachable. He found a way to make art interesting and his assignments will get you not only exposed to artwork but allow you to understand the reason and meaning behind it. The summer semester was a bit rushed but he did summarize it perfectly.

One of the most helpful classes I have taken in long time. Simply do the work and study the study guides and you will pass with an A+. Although, he does seem to get a little opinionated as to what constitutes as art. Other than that this was my first Maymester and it was an enjoyable class.

Art was not something I was very interested in but Mr. DJ made it interesting for me. You can tell he really enjoys teaching others about art. His class is very easy to pass as long as you are willing to do a little work and a little studying.
