I enjoyed this class.
Not to bad. You do have to attend class b/c alot of it is done on the computer. Boring at times. Should be a easy B.
She would explain material multiple times to make sure that everyone understood it. Sometimes she would ramble on about some of the weirdest stuff I've ever heard, totally off topic.
Good teacher, confusing book. Not a very hard class though, teacher is very helpful.
Very good professor, willing to help you out and provide additional help.

Very good teacher. She lets you get clarifications on concepts you don't understand. Gives review before exams and lets you submit homework for extra credit.
Very knowledgable, helpful teacher. Easy to understand, and she makes overhead notes available online. She dropped our lowest test grade too, which helped. Great choice for trig at SCC.
Easy to understand, willing to spend extra time with students. Allowed me to make up missed quizzes and saved my grade at the end of the semester.
Such a boring class. Very confusing and blabbers when teaching and has a very difficult grading scale that makes it hard to get a good grade. 4 tests, 4 quizzes, 1 very difficult and confusing project. Tests are not multiple choice and are fairly difficult. Try someone else.
This woman doesn't really know how to teach. She frequently refers to the fact that "you should know this" and refuses to teach or go over these ideas/theorems. She routinely skips teaching a section which ends up being on a test, blatantly nonetheless (again "you should know this").
Great teacher, easy class. The book sucks and so does the price. This class is work intense: however, the work gives you a chance to make up for poor test scores. Lots of x-tra credit! This class was way easy. Watch out, theres no curb on her test!!!!!
Ms. Boyette is an excellent teacher. She has a little problem when teaching precalc. I believe her degree is in Statistics which would explain why she has a slight problem. Precalc tests difficult but she wants to make sure you know what you are doing before you get to calc.
Very good teacher. Knows her stuff. Easy coursework if you do your homework and pay attention. Quizzes are not difficult at all, copy select homework problems off homework paper onto quiz paper. Tests easy if homework done. Project in steps as you progress through the course.
I dont advise taking this instructor for college algebra. I hear shes great in statistics, however this ist the case in algebra. She doesnt grade students fairly or teach clearly. I found her very hard to understand. Perhaps with more experience she will be a better instructor.
Nice lady but a poor teacher. She was always late with test reviews, grades and she never returned my emails or phone calls. Is always mentioning that we should already know how to do the work. Cant ask her questions because she feels there is something wrong if you dont know it already.
Good teacher. Willing to help and improve your grade if you show effort
Wow, this class really sucks! I have no idea what this teacher was trying to say or do for the last 12 weeks. She gives practice tests and then tests you on something completely different. Why the hell does she give a practice test to change the whole thing?
This class is way easy but it's also boring. You need to constantly monitor your points because the instructor is forgetfull.
Dont follow anyone who says this is easy, its not. Tests are hard, since she found this site, the teacher has changed everything. No attendace policy basically, quizes you can copy and paste answear in the back of the book, and tests are really hard.
Her class isn't easy but don't cry, your in college. Mrs. Boyette ROCKS in my book. I took her simutaneously and she's great. She's never turned me down for help & she knows what she's doing. You can tell she enjoys her job & she's really smart. If you wan't to learn math take her.
Beware. The woman is very unclear, and she babbles a lot during class, losing everyone's attention. Also, she is whispering impaired. If you walk up to her and quietly ask her a question, she feels the need to yell out the answer so that everyone can hear, no matter waht the tpoc. Rude in general
This teacher is wierd.. She tought me College algebra and she keeps talking about what we are going to learn in pre-cal!! It got me really confused. Another thing is that she never gives her test and stuff on time. she is always late with these things...
Not sure why others saying tests are harder, she said they would be scaled down versions of the practice tests and they were (although she was late getting the practice tests posted so short time to study them). Could have graded faster
Pretty good at teaching stats, just shouldn't get sidetracked so much. Other than that, good job!
i was pretty confused the whole time but that's because i suck at math. she was a good professor who cared about her students but she rambles on and on about stuff that doesnt really matter alot so it got pretty boring
She is a great teacher she explains very thing and helps when you need it. The practice before the tests helps so much but the tests are hard but u learn alot!!!
I have to say I dreaded taking this class, but what relief I had when I got this professor. Don't listen to any of the negatives. This professor is very helpful and will answers your questions thoroughly and precise. Just do your homework and the practice problems and you'll pass this class with flying colors!!!
she was horribe...she didnt think about the students needs and taught straight with all powerpoint..nothing else!
I loved this teacher's resources, but you just about require a computer to get through this class. Do your homework and keep up with your project steps, it's as simple as that. Doing the problems over and over is the only thing that helps you learn math.
Extremely helpful. Clear in material. Follows syllabus to the letter so as long as students do the same they're never lost. Ms. Boyette does talk about family but usually in some context to do with the class. She tries to help students understand by using real world examples. Very good instructor. Always on time and never wastes class time.
If you dont know anything about trig, dont take this class. She is one of the best teacher I've in a math class. She uses a lot of powerpoints, but she also uses the board to clarify problems.
She started the class off on a very negative note and never got any better. I have always been good at math and she just made it difficult to want to learn. She also is never sure about her own work while she teaches which makes it difficult to learn. If i had a choice i would not take her again. But she is a nice lady, and has good intentions.
I would highly recommend Ms. Boyette. She explained everything in a step-by-step order that I easily understand. Made an A in her college algebra and hope to do so in stat. If you do your homework and listen in class you'll do great.
I would not recommend her to anyone. She does not care much for repeating herself if you do not understand the first time. She should not be teaching. She is a horrible teacher. I asked her for help when I did not understand something and she said if I were listening then I would understand it, but in fact I was listening and still didn't get it.
she is the worst teacher I have ever had.
This teacher is terrible.she doesn't explain anything. She is only good to take if you already understand the material. She is mean and very nasty towards students and has a very big ego.
This teacher is okay. I made a "B", but you have to work for it. As math is, practice makes perfect so if you do what you need to do, you will be fine. In all is very easy, just try a little....
I loved Diana. I took college alegbra 2x and failed before taking her class. If your not that great in Math she's a great teacher because she doesn't assume that you know a lot already.
she makes sure you understand everything before moving on
She is a ok teacher, but she makes Math more boring then it really is.
she was great for college algebra. but not 4 precal. she didnt go in dept with explanations. often uses the term "you should know this" Unless you do allll the h/w and then some you dont stand a chance. Test are nothing like the homework. be prepared!!!
not helpful, the way she grades her quizes makes no sense. talks down to students.
I am NO math wiz. She can take hard material and make it easy. She explains things very well. She will always help u. LOTS of extra credit!!! I wish I could take her for every math course.
Mrs. Boyette is a really nice teacher. She is fair and helpful. Do the homework, go to class and pay attention and you should do well. The tests are not that hard and she gives lots of extra credit. I would take another math class with her definatly.
She does say "You Shoukd Know this" but that is because she expect you to do the homework. I was doing bad but only after I realized I was not practicing by doing the homework. Im just grateful that she speaks english and doesnt have an accent after having three foreign math teachers before. Tests are fair, lots of ex cred, good ppt, will help u
Not helpful at all. Very unprofessional. Unless your interested in a teacher calling you stupid and laughing at you when you turn your test in dont take her class. She said it herself the first day that less than 50 percent of students who take her class pass the class.
I was intimidated by the comments on here. But in the beginning of the class she stated "most of my students make a B" I didnt believe her. Halfway through the course I was failing all the tests. But with extra credit, hard work on the last test I made a B. Do your hmk! Practice w/Excel, do ec and you will be fine!! She does ramble but will help u
Very rude teacher. Took an easy class and made it extremely hard. Homework is extremely tenuous. I do not recommend this teacher for anyone.
Professor Boyette is an awesome person. She is very sweet and nice! She gives her students many opportunities to pass and she really cares. She definitely understands that some people have busy lives outside of school and takes that into consideration. At the same time attending class and paying attention are important for success.
Mrs Boyette is a great teacher. She taught well and enjoys and knows her stuff. If you goof off than you will not understand what you are doing. Homework is a must so you can understand and get a good grade. This class was my first A in college.
THIS TEACHER IS AWSOME! I HATE MATH BUT SHE TAKES OUT THE TIME TO HELP YOU. SHE WALKS THROUGH THE MATERIAL STEP BY STEP AND LETS YOU MAKE UP WORK. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!
Great teacher!! I am HORRIBLE at math and I got an A. She gives you ALOT of chances to make points, so if you do bad on an exam or two you can still get a great grade. I would def. recommend her if your good at math you'll fly by and if your not like my she will def. help you and you will pass!
she is complete bs. she tries you bring you down, its like she wants you to fail. her comments at the beginning of every class were uncalled for and unprofessional.
she's a pretty good teacher and explains well but she gets behind schedule very quickly and never catches up. with only one full week left before finals we still had a chapter to cover and test on and the final to review for. it takes her a while to grade tests and extra credit and get them back to you but the teaching is good
This teacher is awesome. I took her for college algebra and statistics and got A's in both classes. She was extremely helpful. Sometimes she gets a little boring, but she tells you exactly what she wants and what will be on the test.
This teacher is the worse. She expects you to come to class, sit in a chair and listen to her. She expects you to follow her examples on the board and not talk with your buddies while she is teaching. She also expects for people to read teh book and come prepared to class. I don't know how I got a A+ having to do all that.
She explains everything very clear. I had no questions after lecture because she had already answered them. She has a good open door policy so you can sit with her and go over things (If you ever have to!). As much time as you put in to paying attention to what she teaches, the more you will get out of it because everything you need is said.
Good Teacher. LOTS OF HOMEWORK!! there are h.w. quizzes so u have to do it. Gives Extra credit. Final is optional. Overall good but if you dont like h.w. dont take her.
Ms. Boyette is amazing! I took her for both Stat and College Algebra and got A's in both. She explains everything, tells you what she wants and what will be on the test. She goes out of her way to make sure you pass!
I took this class with this professor because of her amazing reviews on this website. She's useless. I wish I didn't waste my GPA on her. She gives A TON OF HOMEWORK. And HW quizes every class. She doesn't explain things well at all. And she has her favorites. If you are on the slower side of learning math, do not take her. She'll ignore your needs
Took this class online and she tried hard to help you understand this class. The material isnt easy to understand and she has power pts and lecture notes for your use. She gets back with you promptly and leaves feedback on the tests on how to do the formulas. She is a great teacher, Stats is just a hard class! Lots of work and discussions weekly.
Took online and she was ridiculously hard. Terrible notes used from another professor who teaches this as an honors class. Passed the class barley but received absolutely no honors credits there. Pointless discussions that counted as minimal credit and insane quizzes. 2 tests on campus which if you don't pass them your out of luck which is wrong!!!
Shes O...K! I wouldn't not recommend her if math isn't your strongest suit. She teaches, gives hw quizzes, then suggests to go to the Success Center if you don't understand. She's ALWAYS behind with grades & she doesn't post things by the time she says she will.
she is rather interesting. Most of the times the class had to correct her work. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but it happened all throughout the course. She gives a lot of work, and she grades the tests with great difficulty. However there are plenty of extra credit opportunities. She wastes a lot of time, and it's hard to pay attention
I would honestly have to say this is the worst math teacher I have ever had! She makes things extremely confusing and doesn't know how to organize her thoughts. If you are one that refers to your notes, you will find that your class notes are probably next to useless... If math confuses you, STAY AWAY!!!
Easy class if you try! She gives you every opportunity to pass from extra credit on tests to giving you up until the last day to complete all homework. She can be very boring and occassionally goes on rants about when she was learning math so make sure your class is not too long.
It seems like she came into class frequently and complained about us. Every time I went to her office hours to ask a question she would bounce her leg up and down impatiently like it was inconvenient. It's not like I was a poor student I always had an "A" or "B" in her class. Bottom line she is moody.
DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. USELESS NOTES AND POWERPOINTS. THE ONLY PLUS IS HOMEWORK AND QUIZZES (40%) CAN OFFSET TESTS SCORES (60%) TAKEN ON CAMPUS. ALWAYS A FEW TEST QUESTIONS THAT DON'T FOLLOW WHAT YOU'VE LEARNED IN HW AND QUIZZES. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED !!
Way to many homework. And doesn't keep up with the grades and takes a lot of time to reply emails. It's difficult to understand what she's trying to teach. The power points are really helpful. She explains it in upper division statistics, if your not majoring in statistics..DON'T TAKE HER!!!
By the end of this class i actually liked statistics cause it felt more like a game. You don't have to work out formulas by hand so it's easier. Tip: Get a TI 83 or higher because there are statistical formulas programmed in there that require less work on your part
Doesn't reply to student emails, and totally unresponsive and unhelpful when talking to her in person. Doesn't do what she says, shows up always late to class. I am really good at math, and I have barely passing with a C. No one else in my class is doing well. DON'T TAKE HER if you don't have to. You will regret it.
Her math class is pretty easy, i'm not that great at math and I have a B, she is helpful if you ask questions and pay attention. You do not always have to be focused and taking a ton of notes to pass her class. For the most part the homework is minimum. Since, you can do homework in her class, while she is teaching. I would defiantly take her class
im not an A student by any means, I procrastinate and am lazy with homework most of the time but Mrs. Boyette gave our class every chance to succeed. Extra credit, pushing back homework dates, and she basically let's you use notes for the tests. I really liked her.. I failed stats the first time and passed with a B in her class. She's very fare.
the most horrible math teacher ever. instead of showing how to do problems right, she shows us "what not to do"..which is completely useless information. absolutely avoid this teacher at all costs.
I had her for Intermediate College Algebra as well as College Algebra. The classes were hybrid online classes where we would show up and then she would lecture and we could participate, ask questions, or just work on our own. I like that she allowed that. A lot of people are really not good at math and/or don't do their homework so they got mos
Professor Boyette was there when you need her for help. She was very friendly and always responded to emails quickly. She stayed in her own lane and did everything she could at the end to help bring the class grades up if it was necessary. She was the best!
Professor Boyette was there when you need her for help. She was very friendly and always responded to emails quickly. She stayed in her own lane and did everything she could at the end to help bring the class grades up if it was necessary. She was the best!
She is very scatterbrained and extremely disorganized, I dont know why she doesnt just teach online classes because I swear there was no need to show up to class with the ALEKS program she uses. She wont grade anything on time, so your grade will say A when you have a B, for example. Should have taken online and saved my gas money.
She is a great math teacher. People who don't like her I think are probably lazy because she goes out of her way to help everyone...to the point where those of us who actually do homework and study have to wait while she helps the slackers. I highly recommend her. I had her for Intermediate, College Algebra, and Calculus.
She's a great professor. Statistics is just a hard class. She does everything she can to help you succeed, and will stay late after class to help. I wouldn't recommend taking it online though. Also, you will NEVER regret buying a TI 83 or better for this class.
Don't waste the money on this professor. She's clueless and absolutely no help to students. Tests aren't that hard.
I was hesitant to enroll in this class because it was online. However, I took a chance even though the reviews were iffy. If you work hard, do all your HW and take all the quizzes you should do well. She provides EC, and sometimes multiple attempts on test question depending on the difficulty. Great teacher and extremely helpful. Work hard = A
She is clueless and not helpful at all. always changes dates. not a good teacher!! avoid!!
Very nice lady. She is concerned that you pass and constantly rearranges grades in your best interest. Very pleasant when approached and I would recommend her again. The course itself is pretty much online so thats my only complaint, but I passed with A with very little effort.
STA 2023 She was very helpful during class and gave us our grades on a constant basis. Allows unlimited homework attempts and extra quiz/exam attempts sometimes. I didn't even buy the textbook for the class, I just googled everything and I got a 94%.
Took this class over the summer and it was super easy. So much extra credit opportunities on the tests and the homework. Is great at explaining the material and says exactly what to study for. Got over 100% for final grade. Take her!
Overall a great teacher. Throughly explains how to do any problem. Gives lots of chances for extra credit. I did not expect to get an A but I pulled it off with the final! So if you cant get an A you must havent been doing your work. She is so far the best teacher I have had at SSC! HIGHLY RECOMMENED!!!
She was an awesome teacher. She gave plenty of chances for extra credit. She throughly went through the material and explained each type of problem. I did not expect an A but with the low scores dropped and doing well on the final i got an A!! HIGHLY RECOMMENED!!!!!!
She apparently knows her statistics so well that she is incapable of teaching it. Textbook was not used at all. Lectures are useless as she is all over the place and not organized on the topic. I had a high C when I dropped. It was taking hours and hours of self-teaching to maintain a passing grade and I could no longer keep up with the material
Prof Boyette has been the nicest professor I have had in college. She is willing to work with you and is always staying in touch with her students(online course). She has basically allwed us to make our own schedule as long as we work at a steady pace. Also, tons of extra credit.
She is a fantastic teacher!! she explains the use of statistics, she teaches her class and offers extra credit in the HW, and there is an in-class quiz every class not worth much points but essential. Its a math-lab course so ALL of your HW is on-line and you are self teaching yourself. For stats deff take Mrs. Boyette.
Very easy statistics class. However, she explains things very dramatically and goes into a lot of extra, un-needed detail. She provides a lot of opportunities for you to get a good grade. I don't think I would take another class with her though.
Prof. Boyette is one of SSC's best! She makes math & Stat. SO EASY to understand & really breaks things down to simple real-world terms so anyone who takes notes and does their homework will succeed. She gives many in-class assignments to encourage students working together to understand, and gives LOTS of opportunity for extra credit. SHE'S AN A+
Teacher is very confusing, gets very irritated easy. She thinks that you should know it all before you take her class. Takes too much time going over hw and not enough time explaining material
Professor Boyette was awesome. She made calc 1 as easy as it could be, with examples of what you will be doing in the HW, and basing her exams off of those examples. She was always willing to help during her office hours, and outside of those hours, though her email return rate was slow. Don't expect an easy A, but work hard and you will pass.
This class is easy if you pay attention and do the work. Going to class is really important because she can explain statcrunch for you well. She also posts powerpoints, answers to test and inclasses online. If you need help, she'll be glad to help.
One of my favorite teachers at SSC. She is very kind, helpful and easily willing to help anyone who needs it. Overall Great Teacher and highly recommended!
Was my 2nd time taking college alg. Took it online and passed with a B. College Alg. is NOT my strongsuit but Boyette provided LOTS of EASY extra credit opportunities, which I believe contributed to my success in this course. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE NOT GOOD AT ALGEBRA! She will help you &it was the best math course Ive ever taken!
Professor Boyette is the only reason I was finally able to pass statistics. I had taken it twice before at two different colleges. She makes it fun and interesting, and shows you many ways to calculate. We mostly used the stat crunch program, so it made mostly everything a breeze. I took this course in 6 weeks and never felt seriously overwhelmed.
Hands down the worst online teacher. Did not make requirements clear, and requires ALL tests be taken in exam room at campus. No alternatives for traveling online students. When approached for help, her only response was "do the course", then stopped responding altogether. Doesn't have a real office, completely unreachable. WOULD NOT TAKE AGAIN

Amazing teacher, she gives a lot extra credit and explains material. Do your homework, come to class, take her weekly quizzes and you'll pass. In class quizzes very easy, allowed to work with partners, and she drops the 2 lowest along with 3 lowest hw grades. If I had to take another stats class, it'd be with her.
She comes off as very rude, she makes you feel very stupid. If you don't know how to do something in the beginning of the course from intermediate, she reiterates that you should know it by now because you've gone through high school math as well as intermediate algebra. She uses ALEKS. Overall, I like the class and the work, but hate theteacher
Hands down great teacher- wish i had her for all my math classes then i wouldnt be sitting here writing this- i wish she taught at valencia- easy grader, "in class" you can use notes, tells you wants on her test and dep final, uses statcruch and applies real life situations to her teachings- she enjoys stat which makes it joyful for her to teach ;)
Honestly my least favorite teacher I think I've ever had. I got an A, but I don't feel like I learned anything or gained anything from this class. Extremely unhelpful and Non descriptive. The only reason I passed was because she gives a ton of extra credit. Would not suggest. 010
Not bad if you don't mind Aleks
She was recommended to me by a friend and there's no doubt that if i didn't have her for statistics, I would fail. There is a lot of homework, but it's VERY easy and there's much less of it as the semester goes on. She is explicitly clear about how to solve problems and what's on the test. I wish she taught other math classes!
This teacher is amazing
She is a great professor. She uses ALEKS for pretty much everything, even tests. You know your test grade as soon as you take it. The tests are multiple choice, however if you use scrap paper, she'll give you partial credit for questions you get wrong. There is a lot of homework but the homework is essential to do or else you won't pass the class.
This teacher is very good. I recommend you take her. We use ALEKS. She is very helpful, lay back. She gives in classes, but they are easy and a good extra credit. You must do the homework. It helps through tests and all. I hate math, but she is so good. I finally passed this math.
Boyette was very helpful and understanding when it comes to work meetings or other obligations as long as you keep up. She does keep office hours. But do not expect her to remember your name (or face). She does a lot of lecturing and there is always Classwork. But if you understand the topic, that time can be used to work on ALEKS during class.
Horrible teacher. Expects way too much work to be done than needs to be. Also, fail one test and expect to fail.
You'll use ALEKS (like MyMathLab) for the whole class. There's a lot of topics you'll have to complete the first section, but it gradually gets easier with fewer number of topics. She is open, friendly and wants you to pass. She's big on asking for help if you get stuck and will make a custom vid if you still can't get it. Really enjoyed her class.
This class uses Aleks, which in my opinion if you're going to use Aleks you're better off taking it online. The professor is nice for the most part, but can also be very rude which made her unapproachable. I didn't learn anything from the class and do not recommend Aleks, MyMathLab is a lot better.
I've had her in the past, shes a good teacher. She's very black and white when it comes to grades, what you get is what you put into it. She gives in class work but has extra credit on it so it helps with your grade. one tip of advice study for the final!! I would take her again, shes a laid back teacher and will help if you need it
Went in, crunched a bunch of numbers, learned some formulas, every day for a whole semester and ended with a high B. Not entirely memorable but clarified when necessary and accessible as well.
great teacher. I took her class online the first time & failed due to taking on too much but i took her class again & passed with an A. As long as you do the work you will pass. She also lets you retake a test as long as you have done 80% of the work & the final can take place as 1 of your lower test grades. There is NO way that you cant pass!
Boyette is a good teacher. She lectures every class but you don't have to pay attention if you already know the material. The class uses ALEKS and she takes the time to go over every students scrap work to give partial credit on tests. I don't know of any other teachers that does that. She offers EC on almost every quiz.
I'm not a "math person", and I've always struggled with understanding and applying concepts. Professor Boyette explains concepts in ways that are easy to understand and if you are ever tripped up by something she is quick to give you different explanations to help you understand. She also gives good feedback on in class work and extra credit.
Professor Boyette was amazing. She made everything very clear. We used statcrunch, which is very easy and clear cut if you go to class each time. She literally gives you step by step instructions on how to do the problems and does examples. Math is my worst subject and I took her for algebra 2 and came back for stats
Professor Boyette is fantastic. She's very organized, knows her stuff, works really hard. She explains things well and puts equations up on the board during tests. I'm not usually great at math, but I did well in this class and enjoyed it because of her.
Prof. Boyette definitely knew what she was talking about; I did, in fact, learn a lot. However, the pace at which she went was extreme. Many others and I found it very hard to keep up with the amount of homework she assigned. Her tests were also very unclear, and she was a heavy grader. If you worked hard, you'd probably get a B.
WORST ONLINE TEACHER. Professor Boyette is one of the few teachers i had that literally does give a HOOCH about you. She is very rude and inconsiderate. Yes, school is school but having your teacher support you in a difficult course is key. Don't expect her to email you back at a reasonable time. TRUST ME DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE COURSE.
I want to start off by saying this if you want someone to hold your hand this Professor is not for you. She is fair I will say but she does not tolerate laziness and foolishness do the work put your all in and you will pass this class if you are not a math person I suggest taking this class with only 1 additional class.
I had high hopes for her in the beginning and things quickly took a turn. She doesnt reply to emails or phone calls, takes points off of weekly in class assignments for small mistakes, and doesnt truly care for any of her students. If you struggle with math, do NOT take her because she gets frustrated when you go up and ask questions lol.
I'm terrible at math and found with the help of Boyette that it isn't too bad if you dedicate a certain amount of time to studying. I took this in class and we used ALEKS all year, personally I liked how the pace was, it wasn't too much but HATED the objective checks. The practice tests are exactly like the tests just less questions. Super helpful!
To be honest, I don't know why she has a low score. She teaches well and uses many examples. if you ask her a question, she will do the best of her abilities to teach you and make you understand. It isn't a boring math lecturing class. she throws in her quirky personality at times.
Aleks course, do your work and you will pass, she dropped the lowest score and gave extra credit for every test by scoring 90 on the practice exam before the exam, so it was a win-win. The practice exams are unlimited retakes so there's no reason you should not pass this class if you do the work, even if you don't retain it. Responds quickly.
The ALEKS online course is the way to go! This class requires AT LEAST 15 hrs a wk of topic studying to pass & fully understand everything. Boyette gives tons of extra credit opportunities & she does respond to emails. Not sure why the low grade here, but she is very kind. I will agree she won't hold your hand. It's college, grow up. She's great!
Math is not my strongest subject and she made it easy to understand. She has step by step videos for each topic which is REALLY helpful. She doesn't always respond to emails or questions which can be a little frustrating but overall she really has the class set up for you to be successful! I would take her again!
Everything in the class is all done through ALEKS. She offers ALOT of extra credit: 5% extra on tests if you do the practice tests, drops low grade at end of semester, and more. DO NOT take this class if you need extensive teacher help; but, the teacher does upload videos and ALEKS has many resources that help. Very understanding and kind teacher!
This class is hard but Prof. Boyette gives lots of extra credit and study resources (virtual help, videos, tutoring). Practice tests include unlimited attempts, and very accurately depicts what will be on the actual exam. This is a great class for those who are self discipline to spend an average of 8 hours a week studying.

Her class is pretty easy if you pay attention to lectures and do your homework. She is good at teaching and giving examples. Her responses are fast. She keeps the class interesting with real life examples and her quirky personality. I am not that fond of math, but I enjoyed taking statistics with her. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities.
Professor Boyette helped me to enjoy online college algebra this semester. Math isn't my strongest skill, but the combination of the ALEKS learning program and her topic videos helped me to ace this class. She provides amazing extra credit (90% on a practice test gets you 5% extra on the exam)!! I spent near 70 hours in this class & recommend.
Professor Boyette made my experience with college algebra wonderful. I was able to grasp the topics with the help of her videos. She works out problems from every topic in the course and explains them. Because of her I was able to excel in her class. If you have a hard time with math I would highly recommend Professor Boyette as your teacher.
shouldn't be a professor
Worst professor ever. She's rude, She can't handle criticism. She doesn't know what she's doing.
Prof. Boyette was a great teacher. I usually suck at math but she made it so easy to pass her class. She would give in class assignments that offered extra credit and you can get extra credit by completing the practice test. She provides videos to help you as well for when you're at home and may need help. She also gives partial credit on tests.
Statistics can be a difficult class but Professor Boyette made it easy for me to understand. She gives a good amount of extra credit and she gives practice tests which are very helpful to study for her exams. If you complete all of the homework assignments and do the practice tests, you'll be fine.
She is amazing!!! Always offers extra credit opportunities on all homework assignments and test. Goes over homework questions with class if asked or needed. Homework is due the night before each test. Gives clear instructions and feedback. The best math professor I've had in a very long time 10/10.
What can I say Professor Boyette is simply amazing. She sets you up for success from the extra credit to the in class assignments they might seem like a lot but god will they help you for her exams. She explains things clearly and even goes over the homework with you. I wished she taught more courses!!
Amazing professor! She really cares about how you do in her class and makes sure you understand each topic. She gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit and is super chill! During class she lectures on the subjects that are the most confusing while students work on the homework due that week (don't have to listen if you don't need help).
Professor Boyette is quite nice and gives many extra credit opportunities. The only issues are she tends to explain things in a difficult way, so I recommend utilizing the tutoring center. The tests are heavily graded, and when I missed a few classes due to family deaths, she still marked me absent and deducted points.
Uses ALEKS, which isn't my favorite system. Lots of lecture videos that are helpful. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Very understanding with grading. I had Honorlock crash on me during 2 exams and Prof Boyette was very helpful.
Prof Boyette was an amazing teacher. We mainly used aleks but the practice exams are exactly like the exams and she drops the lowest score at the end!
Boyette is by far the best math professor I have taken in college, even better than some of my high school teachers. Lectures are extremely good at covering bases. Plenty of extra credit, however, tests are difficult, and she has in-class problems that do affect your grade. However, she's extremely kind and willing to help as much as possible.
Professor Boyette is amazing - she really cares about student success. The ALEKS system takes some getting used to, but her video lectures and extra credit opportunities make this class manageable. I found Unstuck study super helpful for study prep.
