Dr. Elrod is reasonable. Just make sure to study all her powerpoints and you should do well on the tests. Attendance isn't mandatory but it does help to go over the slides with her. Any A&P textbook will do for this class although i didn't use it unless i needed to read more about something.

I like her. she is very straight forward about what she expects in her class. She is not here to baby anyone, but teach future healthcare workers what they need to know. If you study the powerpoints and study off the study guide she provides it should be easy to make an A.

Elrod is a great professor! I was hesitant to take her 3 hr lecture course but she makes it interesting and gives a break! She doesn't just give you an A but absolutely everything she tests over are on her ppts so if you know those inside and out you'll get an A no problem. She gives curves on all tests which are your entire grade. No assignments!

This class is not difficult as long as you study! Everything is based off of power points. I took Elrod at TWU. She has only four tests and she sometimes gives a curve but only has a curve if the average of the class was bad. To me the hardest test was the muscles which is roughly the third test. She is a great teacher!

Elrod was very easy in the first semester, her tests were basically from the powerpoints. But in APII she was very difficult her questions were very confusing and many people so far are not doing as great as AP I. Overall, the first and the third test is the hardest of the four. Also she required a group project within the semester which isrequired

Ms. Elrod is a good professor. Her lectures are very heavy but very informative. The reviews are very long but depending on what type of learner you are will depict on how you do in this course. There are quite a few quizzes through out. The test are multiple choice, if you study you will pass. It just take a few extra hours of time.

I learned more in this class than any other in my undergraduate studies. Dr. Elrod makes her lectures applicable to what you will be doing in your career. Be prepared to study- A&P is one of the hardest courses I've ever taken. Do not get behind- STUDY & GO TO THE LECTURES! Lots of great information!

I really liker Dr. Elrod! She teaches straight from her ppts. There are in class opportunities for points, so stay for those! There are also a few quizzes online throughout the sem, but they're not bad. The tests are not easy, but if you study you will pass! She gives curves, not by a lot, but they help! I never bought the textbook, only read ppts!

Perhaps the best AnP class. She is awesome. her test are straight from the powerpoint. if you attend the class and listen to her lecture and revise her lectures at home, you will surely make an A. dont miss her lecture. Test are not hard.

Dr. Elrod is an incredible professor. She teaches very clearly and makes sure that her students understand the material. The only negative is how she calculates the semester grades. She will give you extra credit but will then remove it at the end of the semester, unlike other professors that give extra credit and put it towards your final grade.

I took Elrod for both A&P 1 and 2, and think she's a great teacher. She has an attitude and can be mean if you do anything stupid or ask anything obvious, but she's a great teacher. Her tests are straightforward, and if you record and listen to the lectures, then you'll ace the test. Her tests are everything she's mentioned at least once in class.

I had Professor Elrod for A&P 1 and 2 (fall and spring) and she is absolutely amazing! She breaks down the information so simply that it's not that hard to understand and learn. I got an A the first semester and a B the second semester. The cardio exam is what killed my grade the second semester so if you take that exam, study hard!

Professor Elrod is a great teacher. She's tough but her class isn't impossible. Her lectures are very important to be at. While her powerpoints have a lot of info, she points out the exact stuff you'll need for your exams, which is VERY helpful. She knows what she's talking about and knows how to explain information well.

Dr. Elrod can come off pretty tough at first, but she is an incredible professor and all of her policies and her approach to her class is designed to help you better understand the material. Don't be afraid to meet up with her if you're confused, but be sure you bring in your notes for her to look over. It makes a huge difference.

A&P hard course in gen. but Elrod lectures thoroughly. Not monotoned, large class and makes it interesting. Lots of out of class studying of power points/lectures then you will do well on the exams. Highly recommend

A&P is a difficult class to begin with. Go to class, take notes, and go over them often. Quizlet helped me intake all of the information. Shes particular and straightforward which might come off intimidating but she gives you everything you need to do well.

Dr. Elrod goes above and beyond to help her students. I wish I could take her for AP2 :-(

We only had 4 Wiley quizzes and never used the online textbook which did make me question why I bought Wiley plus in the first place. She's not the best lecturer, but when I compare her with what I have heard about the other A/P professors, shes pretty good. I wish her class was smaller and that I could have gotten to know her better.

Dr. Elrod is the best option for A&P at TWU. She's funny and her lectures are always intriguing. I recommend you attend the lectures because she specifies what you need to focus on for the tests. If you review the powerpoints you'll be prepared enough for the tests. From what I've heard about other A&P teachers, she's definitely the easiest option.

I loved Elrod, I took her for anatomy 2 and she really cares and wants everyone to do well. She curves the test when the class average is below the desired average. The class isnt easy at all but if you pay attention and work for it youll get an A.

Professor Elrod has been the best teacher I have had so far at TWU. I am post-bachelors and needed to take A&P I & II for nursing entry. I really enjoyed her lectures and teaching style. She sets clear expectations for her class and teaches to he ppt presentations and tests off them. There are no tricks/hidden information & you get what you put in.

Dr. Erlod was pretty great. She is straight to the point and doesn't dance around what you need to know. Had her for A&P1 and I ended up with a B with not much studying or time investment. In class and online quizzes, and exams are 50 questions 2 points each with 2-4 point curve. As long as you pay attention, you will be fine. Shes great

One of the best professors at TWU. She is easy to understand and does not teach assuming you already know everything. Her tests are very straightforward and not meant to trick you. She is also very clear about what is important and what is just detail. I took her for both A&P 1 and 2 and finished with above a 100 in each due to curves on the tests.

She is a very good instructor who cares about her students understanding the material. She outlines exactly what to expect on tests and has a lot of opportunities for quizzes to boost grades. During the three hour lecture though, she makes it hard to stay engaged.

Homework was given once a month, and the homework does really help with the exams. She makes her points clear and gives exam questions in class. She doe not take attendance however she gives class quizzes. The quizzes are five questions and she lets you discuss the questions with your peers.

Dr. Elrod is an amazing professor!! I took her ZOOL 2013 class last fall and loved it so much that I made it a point to register for her ZOOL 2023 class. Her power points have all the information you need and she explains complex concepts in ways that are easy to understand. I've already recommended her to everyone who has to take Human A&P.

Dr. Elrod is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and even though I took her three hour lecture class that was held once a week in the evening, I was never bored or disengaged. She loves to help her students succeed and even in a class of 200, she believes in nurturing and guiding each and every person who takes her class. Definitely take any class she teaches!

Dr. Elrod is an INCREDIBLE professor. She is extremely knowledgeable, explains everything in depth and provides many examples, she is very understanding and helpful to ALL students. Extremely inspirational. My first year at TWU I was nervous about this class, but because of how good and helpful she is I moved to the front row and I am doing great.

Okay so she's not really approachable, but her tests are fairly easy if you study her slides. I recommend to get in a study group with friends because she doesn't really teach. Theres 4 tests (400 points) and 100 nonexam points. Be careful you understand her strange grading because if not you'll think you got a higher grade than you did.

Loved her class, but wish her test grading rules were different. If you skip one (besides the final) your next score counts as both. I think that if you dont skip any test, you should have the option to replace one or at least something in place of you not missing any exams. I would never miss an exam unless absolutely necessary.

Dr. E is kind, and cares about every student. Of course her work is tough, but thats how you learn. she is nothing but supportive and encouraging. The bitter reviews are obviously from those wanting things handed to them. Seriously she is so kind.

She really cares about her students. During this horrible time of covid she gave me more help and peace of mind than any other professor. She is an incredible teacher and I will miss her class so much.

She has always been available for questions and when I struggled, she provided me with new study techniques and found ways to help me understand. Great class during difficult time. She held office hours virtually every week and gave us her cell number. Caring, but be aware - does not suffer fools. Follow her instructions, read the announcements, and refer to the syllabus and you should be just fine.

Best teacher I've had at TWU so far. Lectures are good and you just need to study her power points for the test. YOU MUST STUDY. Anatomy is a hard class but as long as you study you should be able to make an A. Grades are based on 4 tests and 4 quizzes so don't slack off.

An amazing teacher when it comes to lectures. She gives access to the PowerPoints in advance so you can read ahead of time or you could watch the lecture on YouTube instead (if you don't go to class). Her tests are difficult, but if you focus on lectures and PowerPoints you will be fine.

Dr. Elrod is super lecture heavy. I recommend you start studying for the exams two weeks prior to fully understand the material. She gives extra information for the exams, but also simply reads from the slides so STUDY THE SLIDES. There's only 8 assignments in the course so try your best to do good on the exams cause if you don't, you will fail.

I loved her! Im hoping to take A&P 2 with her. Her lecturing isnt boring and she make sure to keep it interesting enough to listen to (my class was at 6pm even). Sweet woman, will answer any questions you have. Happily answered a question of mine about certain bones and cartilage in detail without making me feel dumb. Tests are hard, but worth it

This is a very difficult class (A&P1) but Dr. Elrod does a good job at making sure you understand the material. She also asks the classes collectively if they are in a good standpoint before each exam. The textbook is free, but the modules for quizzes cost $40. Attend the lectures and study, and you will succeed.

She is always available outside of class to help you, her powerpoints are easy to understand and she gives you plenty of time to ask questions.
