This professor is a really good teahcer. I highly recommend you taking her in any of the three english class that she teaches. She has a really cool personality, fun to talk to and fun to be around in class. She loves what she does so take her!! I would.

I don't think she's as bad as what many people say. Her class is enjoyable and she grades rather easily. Not too much homework. Friendly teacher. I didn't learn too many things in her class tho. But I like her overall.

Very cool teacher! Down to earth! I felt I could relate to her better because she's a lot closer to the students' age than most professors. I thought she was very fair!

she's a good teacher; like any typical class you have to do the work and put some effort into it. You do a few essay's and alot of reading. Like most teachers she likes it when people participate in class or show some remote interest.

she is REALLY easy. had her for elit10 and ewrt1a. didn't read the books for elit but got an A. half assed 1a papers and got A in class. do what she wants in class and on papers and you will ace her class.

got a B in her class. her textbook i thought were interesting and she does make u participate in class. she is very nice and makes clear of her assignment. if you want to get a good grade, ask her for help. she is willing to help students. <_>

this teacher is awesome! take her if you can. one of the cool and hip teachers out there at deanza. shes easy to understand and her work is pretty much straight forward. one of those teachers that makes you want to go to class everday. shes definately recomended. :)

She teaches well, and she is a responsible teacher whom makes herself available to her students. She is clear on what she expects from you. I learned alot from her class. She gave me a good foundation in advancing in my other Ewrt classes (in terms of writing). One problem: She talks too much.

I took this class for fun and it was exactly that. Like the previous comments, I couldn't have said it better myself. She cares that you do well at your own pace not at a standard. She let me turn in the final paper 2 weeks after the quarter ended and gave me a B!! TAKE HER!!

Like all DeAnza teachers you have to do some work to get the grade. Class discussions were good, good attendance helps, and she will help you to get you to know what you need

Goofy sense of humor but She teaches well. All her books for 1A were available on audio book. Open book quizzes, lots of groupwork, available to students, clear expectations. Reading in a circle during class is lame but that's the worst thing. She is a fair grader and the final was simply to rewrite one of the 3 papers. I highly recommend her.

A lil crazy but she's ok. She seems really nice in the beginging but she kinda discriminates ppl. i ended up wit a A so i can't complain too much. She's not too hard but you do hav to do u'r share of the work. the final is to rewrite one of your first 3 essays, which is cool and she's not that tough on grading.

Okay, I'm giving her high marks on easiness is becuase she is. However, you will totally laugh in this class. She randomly laughs which is good when everybody is tired. However, you will enjoy the material in the class and if you need help, she's willing to help.

Mrs fleming is the easiest teacher eve. Her essays are so easy all you have to do is review your essay b/f U turn it in. Her test are middle school test. THEY ARE SO EASY!~!!!!!!!! she is also a great teacher but has a little bit of attitude to the students who don't turn their HW, turn your HW in on time.

The best English teacher ever in De Anza. She is so helpful on all the essays. Fleming also has this sincere quality in her.

She rocks. I took the equivelant of 1A at a different school and it was next to impossible to get an A. In Ms. Fleming's class, I turned in a very mediocre paper and got an A. There is also next to NO homework and the reading is easy.

Diana is one awesome teacher! Her enthusiasm and happy-go-lucky style made me enjoy this class. There are 3 quizzes, 4 essays (1 short and 3 somewhat long) and 1 research paper. That may sound like a lot of work but they're all fairly easy. I'm taking her for EWRT 2 next quarter. She's pretty hot too!

Although shes a nice teacher, she does'nt really cover everthing she gives you. for example, the research paper that had 5 parts to it, she covered only the Cited and partially covered the "background and review of the work" part out of the 5. this is just during class. overall this class is okay.

She is REALLY nice. I recommned her, my be a little loud, but she is fantastic.

I'd say the ones who critisize her never really understood what the English class is about, or English in general for that matter. She strongly encourages brainstorming and in depth thought about literature. Which in itself is far more important later on in life than memorizing a few lines out of some book, and she's really cute too.

She is the hottest teacher on the de anza campus. Assignments are clearly given and gives a lot of help on essays and material. A lot of reading but interesting books nonetheless.

Diana is one of the most attractive teachers on campus. Her class is relatively easy if you invest the time into writing your papers. That's the basic component of the grade - the papers. The better writer you are, the easier time you'll have with this class.

Her class is kind of easy. No homework except for reading. All you do in class is to discuss the reading with others( it can be boring). However, she grades easy and I can at least get a B for my papers.Her EWRT class is easy compared to other professor's. take her!

Ms.Flemming is a great and understandable person. Class work was very easy. more work was just basically do it before class. Just show up to class pay attention and you should pass. Other wise don't show get dropped and repeat the course again.

This class is way too easy. 4 papers and no final. I wrote every paper at the last minute and still got an A on all the papers. Just read the book and you will be fine...way too easy.

This class is fairly easy. I lost hope of getting an A after the second essay becasue i got a C in it. However, i still ended up with an A- in the class. Reading and attendance is madatory. If u miss class on the day rough draft of essay is due; she takes off points. she is very helpful. if u want an A in class, make sure u visit her in office hrs.

If you know how to write an essay, it should be an easy A. I think it's hard for some ESL students in the class, but her grading is very fair (rewrites, helps you out). She is incredibly nice. I'm not even kidding. I was always late to class but she didn't made it a big deal and filled out a rec form for me. Doesn't play favorites.

I'm this as a transferable course to complete my major at SJSU. SO easy, the only hard part was actually fighting for parking and waking up to go. Always bring your book and take notes IN the books. You can use them on quizzes, midterm and final. She's very nice, quirky, and spunky.

Diana is a really nice teacher! One of the nicest teacher I've had at DA. However, you DO have to read and come to class. (just like any other English class). Diana is fair, and lets you re write essays if you get a C or below. Take her!! I highly recommend.

Fleming is a great professor. She's always willing to help, very energetic, and always smiling. There's a lot of class participation and group work, and you must read in order to understand what's going on in class. She grades fairly easy on the essays an received all A's on my essays. There's 4 essays and a drop-off final. MUST TAKE HER!

Nicest professor ever! She is funny too, and is passionate about contemporary English literature. Her classes are very entertaining, and she picks great books for her class! I really enjoyed all her assignments and essays. Her class was refreshing to take with a stressful schedule.

She is SHARP, be cautious what you do as she may misjudge you! I got an F for the first assignment, but benefited from her feedback. I don't question her expertise at all, however if you have pet peeves, she is not the teacher for you. Some word choices she used and some of her behaviors irritated me. She makes no eye contact and seems aloof

I had the pleasure of having Professor Fleming for two classes. She has a great and peppy personality that really brightens the class environment. Both of her classes have a 200 point scale so each point matters! Overall, her was fairly manageable with my other classes. 3 essays for EWRT 2 and 2 for ELIT 10. Her class was fun!

GREAT TEACHER. You can get by the class by having an understanding of the two stories you are supposed to read and some quotes (all of which, she gives you in class). I did not read at all and ended up with A's on all three major papers. She's a little extra in the classroom but really great to be around. Would definitely take here again!!!!

3 papers: 2 based on interesting quick read memoirs and 1 in class essay about a campus resource. Also, there is a research paper which she breaks down for you literally paragraph by paragraph. Super chill prof and available to help with anything writing related like UC essays.

Not only does she care about her students, she inspired me to pursue a new major and if it wasnt for her I wouldve never considered taking the chance! She sees potential in each student. Her assignments are fairly simple. The final is a reflection about yourself and career. I would take that class again if I could! Best English professor!

Easy classes, nice professor, somewhat eccentric

Shes a super easy professor. Classes can sometimes go off topic. Assignments were simple and not too much reading required. Sometimes shes a little extra in the classroom, but shes caring and knows everyone by their name. Take this class if you need to save your time for more difficult classes.

She's really energetic so lectures are never boring and every class she equips you with enough knowledge to understand what's going on in. The writing was very straight forward with no surprises and she gave 2 weeks to submit it. We read one book but didn't need to analyze it and wrote about 5 papers (2 standard, 2 short, 1 lengthy).

Super nice professor, super easy class. There were only 5 or 6 essays. 2 of them were short essays (less than 2 pages). Lenient grading on the essays and quizzes were free points. Most of them you work in a group, and are more like class activities. You spend 5-6 weeks reading a book, but you can get away with skimming lightly. Highly recommend.

Prof Fleming's lectures are very engaging because of her bubbly personality. Our assignments genuinely have depth to them and are not just busy work. I actually learned a lot about the outside world in this class. Grading is clear, and assignments are reasonable. As long as you genuinely put in the work, you should be guaranteed an A.

Her grading policies for essays are not tough, and are actually pretty relaxed and easy. . Pretty easy class to score well in. Grades haven't been published yet as of writing, but I've gotten high scores for my already marked essays so far, and it is honestly not that hard to score well in her classes.

A great professor. Very funny, her classes are very entertaining. Her grading may be tough on essays, but she allows you to resubmit the first essay. If you fix all the mistakes and do it perfectly, and follow the same concept for other essays, you can score well.

This professor was very enthusiastic and talkative, it was easy to stay engaged during class. However the class was only an hour long so we didn't have much time to get any actual work done. The only assignments were essays, mostly about our readings. It was a pretty easy class and I liked the topics we discussed.

Professor Fleming is extremely passionate about what she teaches. The EWRT 2 course revolved around a book. The workload is light and barely have to do anything. She's also very funny (and dresses great!) but sometimes might come off as too intimidating to be able to ask questions.

She is super sweet but her classes materials are a little boring. There are like 3 essays online + 3 quizzes in person. It's easy. Take this class if you want a good GPA.

Her class was overall great if you expect a light workload, but honestly, I wish I could learn more from this class as she did not engage much in teaching grammar or prose ... in her class meeting. Be aware of citing and doing works cited CORRECTLY. One of my short essays received a C barely because of one mistake on the works cited page!

This is a great and easy class to take if you already have knowledge of writing. There were 4 writing assignments, 3 writing quizzes in class, and some reading from a book I found at the library. If you want to learn I would say this is not the class for you, I just wanted an easy A. She also does not use Canvas to submit grades.

Pretty easy class overall. Only problem is I bought the book she told us to read and then we stopped using it after 3 weeks. personally was a waste of $20. 3 essays and a couple easy homework assignments. Just go to class everyday and you will be fine. Career research essay for the final
