Awesome instructor--friendly, helpful, and brilliant--she knows her stuff. This is a hard class, but she makes it interesting...and gives LOTS of extra credit (and a sticker if you get an A). Exams are tough, but fair. Recommended for lecture and lab.

A wonderful professor, Ms. Homsi is extremely knowledgable in what she teaches. She is clear in letting you know what is expected of you in class as well as preparation for exams. She is fair in grading and gives ample opportunity for extra credit. I am taking her next semester for a 3rd time.

I took her 142 lab course. It was a lot of material to learn, but she was really good at explaining all the models and slides.

Very great instructor, understands that no on is perfect and can nail all the info they want you to know for this class!!! She gives enormous amounts of EC*** and droped the 7 lowest quiz grades, by the way, other proffesors will not give you that because they only give like half the quizes she does

I took her for lab. She is a good teacher and helpful. But she has her days when she snaps or has mood swings. Other than that she's a good teacher to take for lab. And she's nice on her good days.

She gives outlines for every chapter because she hates the textbook. Follow her outlines and you'll get good grades. She gives a LOT of extra credit! She let us buy extra credit! She seems to have some personal problems and that affects her moods, plus she was always talking about fasting for days at a time. Give her dark chocolate for extra credit

Weekly quizzes which HELP your grade - lots of extra credit - drops quizzes AND lowest test. Can't beat that!! Kudos to Ms. Homsi!!!

She is a walking medical dictionary and beyond! Very passionate and cute... She should be the first on your list if you're taking Anatomy and Physiology class, but you have to be in her Lab to match up well with her lecture.

Ms. HOMSI is a great lecture prof. She does not use the text from the school and gives so much useful info. If you plan to further your education in this field I HIGHLY suggest taking her! She is def. there for her students and will help you out. That being said, it is not and "easy A", effort does need to be put forth but is well worth it.

She is the literally the best teacher I have ever had at TCC! I struggle with lecture but I was able to get an B. Lots of extra credit and her texts are straight forward. Honestly, Ms. Homsi was the best teacher I have EVER taken. Gives outlines for each chapter, which she goes over in detail. Rarely uses the textbook (her notes are enough) Very intelligent and genuinely cares about her students. Made a difficult class enjoyable. Very approachable and down to earth.Taking her for 142, wish she still taught lab.

Ms.Homsi is GREAT!!you do have to work for your grade. U have an opportunity to get 10 xtra crd pts on each test. Do not buy a book she simplifies it in little packets (so much easier) if you know that little packet you know the test. I took her for 141&142 got an A. All xtra crd on quizes get added to final grade. WOW! what a difference it makes!

I have been taking college courses on and off for the past 25 years. Ms. Homsi is without a doubt the BEST college professor I have ever had.

Professor Homsi is the best! If there is something you don't understand she will explain it to you until you do. She is great for returning phone calls or emails when you have questions. Most importantly is is thorough in her lecture so pay attention and ask question. You can get an A out of A&P 142 you just have to study!

She is an amazing teacher. She knows A&P so well and she is very willing to help someone who doesn't understand. This class in general is very hard, but she tries her hardest to help everyone pass. She gives extra credit for every quiz and test. Couldn't have gotten a better teacher for BIO 141

Homsi is one of the best teachers on campus She is very smart and she lets you know what things she want you to remember. I wish that she would teach Lab as well. She gives you handouts of the material that she wants you to remember from the book. That is good because the book is huge and would be a **** to remember every single thing.

Gives ppt handouts, multiple opportunities for extra credit, review sheets, and tells you exactly what to be prepared for on tests. Review notes after each lecture, make flash cards, study hard. Great teacher!

Great teacher. No-nonsense, so don't be late. Knows the information, is specific on what you should learn, and tests only on what she teaches. The text and her notes are compatible, so you don't feel you wasted money on the text book. Don't be lazy if you take her.

She is amazing, she is so clear and shouts HINT if it will be on a test, including ways she may put it on there. Her quizzes are cake if you study. She doesn't fool around and is a great person to talk to. I don't usually but I felt like no matter what grade I received she wouldn't judge and still help out no matter what. GREAT TEACHER!

Ms Homsi, is the sweetest professor in the Science department, love her...very passionate about A&P, take home quizzes and drop the lowest 2 quizzes and 1 lowest test and gives a lot of extra credit journal just make sure to follow the directions in the journals. So act fast, cause her lectures closes pretty fast...students lover her :) I love her!

She the best science teacher as I know of. I had her for Bio 141 and I got an A in her class. Her tests/quizes was pretty tough but she gives lots of xtra credits in able to get an A in her class. I am taking her for BIO142 and I am confident in her class dat I am going to get an A. I HIghly recommend her to all students. I LOVE MS. HOMSI!!! :)

Prof. Homsi is a wonderful professor. She wants you to think critically and not just from point a to point b. She gives you loads of extra credit opportunities to help boost your grade. Take good notes from her powerpoint lectures and ATTEND ALL OF HER LECTURE CLASSES. Turn your cellphone ringers off during class.

Loved her teaching style. All her tests come from the handouts she provides on blackboard. Study the notes she provides and you'll do well. She also offers extra credit on Mastering A&P for each test. 4 tests, 7 quizzes & she drops 1 test & 2 quizzes. Make sure your on time, attendance is important. Easy to do well if you study the notes!

Offers a lot of extra credit, up to 10 points for each test. Homework is also for extra credit. Mrs. Homsi is very helpful and knows her stuff! Anatomy is a hard course. Ms. Homsi is a fabulous teacher. She is proud of her knowledge and really wants students to understand the concepts as well as details. You do not want to be late to class as you'll be considered absent after 5 minutes but other than that it's a great class. I would absolutely recommend her!

Ms. Homsi is an amazing instructor that is passionate about A&P. Ms. Homsi will give you all the tools you need to succeed in her class, the ones that do not succeed are the ones complaining about her and do not utilize tools given. This is not an easy course, this course requires a lot of attention regardless which instructor you chose.

If you don't need the material, I'd suggest taking her class, but if you need to know the material, you might want to take someone else. She drops 1 out of 4 tests, 2 out of 7 quizzes & all homework on mastering is EC (DO IT, its easy bonus points). EC opportunities on all tests - which bumped me up past 90% everytime.

Ms. Homsi is an AMAZING teacher! She is by far my favorite. She's very fair in her grading and she will be honest with you right from the start. As long as you study hard, read the material and put forth the effort you will pass her class. Don't be late, as that is disrespectful and she will take off 2 points from your final grade. Ms. Homsi is a really good instructor. No homework. Fill in the blank notes. Super helpful and kind. However, she teaches biology but does not believe in evolution and is very one sided about it. Frequently gets off track telling stories about her cancer in the past and exodus from Lebanon, so lectures can be unclear a lot of the time.

We have online homework and quizzes on a weekly basis. She rocks and is willing to help in any way. I absolutely love her.

Initially her personality is something you have to get used to. She's quirky and strict at times but it's because she truly cares. Her notes are SO helpful and she is one of the few teachers that gives extra credit and drops lowest grades. I would recommend her 100% She gives you what you need and some, but you have to put tons of hard work into it

She gives you SO many chances to get an A as long as you work hard for it. Study regularly, attend class, read notes and take notes during class and you will find yourself with an A.

Homsi definitely knows what she is talking about and she drops your lowest quiz grade which is nice. she is strict, like no phones or you'll get point reductions and she likes when people participate so don't be shy. as long as you pay attention and actually study and try for an A you'll be fine.

Fall semester I took NAS2 with a different professor and did not pass. Ms. Homsi gave me confidence that I could do It the second time around. She provides study guides and outlined notes which others DO NOT. Her tests are exactly like her lecture/notes/reviews. Considering this needed for 141, TAKE HER

i love Mrs. Homsi as a person she cares about your grade and is helpful. but her class is alright. Her test are worded weird and a little confusing. Her quizzes are easy. I would study the notes until i couldn't study anymore and still got a b. Idk if id take her for bio 141 but for nas2 you'll be fine. she never gave extra credit for my class.

Fast-paced course. Homsi is genuine and clear on what she expects. She may seem strict, however, it will benefit you for future BIO courses. I wish I took this before I took Micro. Read ahead, you'll be solid. You HAVE to study to pass! She is willing to help.

She does a wonderful job teaching lecture, so much so that I am taking her for 142 next semester. She goes in depth when speaking on a topic and gives helpful health tips as well. I enjoy being in her class. She is very kind and fair. There are multipkle opportunites to get you grade higher.

Homsi is a great professor. She breaks down each topic and lesson along with examples in order for you to fully understand. She may be strict with attendance, but love her teaching. Students who say she sucks are the ones who don't put in enough effort. Anatomy is an extremely difficult subject, so you can't rely JUST on her for your desired grade

If you are looking to do well in Bio 141 and 142 I would highly recommend Ms. Homsi. She is really passionate about A&P and she also genuinely cares about her students doing well. Do all the homework and quizzes on Mastering as it counts as one of your test grades and can make a HUGE difference in your final grade. Loved her class!

Mrs. Homsi is great!! If you show up with your HAND-OUTS( yes, everything you need is already written out for you) printed for that class and listen. you'll do just fine on the test and quizzes. Don't skip class, that's pretty much it. She is very nice and extremely knowledgeable.

Excellent teacher! I learned and retained so much from her teaching. I aced the A&P section of my nursing entrance exams thanks to Ms. Homsi. Show up, complete everything assigned and work hard. It will pay off ten-fold. The best A&P (BIO 141 &142) teacher at TCC! Take her you will not be disappointed.

Lets face is A&P is a very hard/tough class. But if you put in the work you will get the grade you truly deserve. Quizzes are online (two lowest are dropped), 4 test (one lowest end dropped) BUT test 4 is mandatory!! Homsi is truly an amazing professor. I took her for NAS 2, BIO 141, and BIO 142!!

Great professor and very caring. I took her for NAS, BIO 141 and BIO 142 and scored in the 96th percentile nationally for the TEAS test for entry into a BS of Nursing program. The class requires a lot of work but she will set you up for success!!!

Professor Homsi is such a great teacher. I am so lucky that I took her for Bio 141. Her classes are easy to pass if you put in the work. She give quizzes online, from which she dropped 2 of them. Total of 4 test, one will be dropped but not TEST 4. Attendance is a must.

Great instructor! Very clear outline of what is expected. Drops the lowest of your 4 test grades which is a huge plus. There is mastering homework but it benefits you for the test (lots of questions come from it). She knows how to relate material to everyday information which is spectacular. The tests are heavy- you have to work for this grade.

A&P overall is an intense class. Professor Homsi gives you the notes and if you study what is given, you will do just fine on the tests. Do the extra credit and the homework! she rounds up on homework, which is awesome. I took her for A&P 1 and I am taking her again for 2!

She's funny, well educated in her field of work, and she takes her time to make the class as easy to pass as possible. A&P is no walk in the park but she gives students the best chance to succeed.

She is an amazing instructor but you WILL have to work for your grade in her class. She gives extra credit and has a test review the week before the actual test. I do not recommend getting the textbook, just the mastering A&P , because she gives out her personalized handouts that all her tests come from. So save your money.

Dr. Homsi gives you notes to fill in with her huge lectures which is helpful. This class is a lot of material like A&P I. Be prepared to put in the study time. She uses MASTERING for quizzes, tests and homework. She is goofy, but knows what she is talking about. Very friendly. Answers emails timely.

She does bring up her health a lot, but it always relates to the coursework so I found it very helpful. I wouldnt recommend taking her online class if you dont learn well on your own. But honestly the book and lectures are all you really need

I took this class virtually due to Covid. The lectures are long-winded but full of useful info. Several lectures a wk (30m-60m) each. Gives powerpoints, notes, and suggested study material for weekly quizzes and 4 tests. Use text for Lecture & Lab class. Professor doesn't miss a beat, she's consistent and answers emails. (talks about herself a lot)

Her lectures are a little... drawn out. But she really seems to enjoy what she teaches which makes her class enjoyable. It was online. What to expect : word documents w/ fill in the blanks that go along w/ a recorded lecture that the student watches and listens. 4 tests, 8 or so quizzes.

i took a different professor for the lab and one thing i can say is that her lectures can be very disorganized. it doesn't align with the labs but besides that, her class is pretty enjoyable. she doesn't assign many homeworks and grades are based more on quizzes & tests. just spend hours studying and you'll be okay!

Professor Homsi is a good professor. Her online class was very easy if you follow along with the handouts and listen to the lectures. The length of the lectures averaged from 30-90 minutes. She talks about random things a lot and jumps around, but makes this easy to understand
